Willy choose Scary because Sparrow could’ve taken the secret to his grave, and he would have actually had to take care of normal for a period of time. Scary’s in trouble and she needed my help, well she can handle it cause she has so much power that I gave her. Normal’s in trouble,why didn’t you save me? If you are so strong then you should have just saved us it would have made it go by faster. After a period of time normal would have the backbone of a chocolate eclair, but that’s too much work

Normal is also desperate for friends, Scary hypothetically cut of her old friends (girls soccer team), refuses to make new relationships (the majority of the story prior to going to earth. Scary is already isolating herself. Normal puts in the effort to not be isolated. The only people Willy needed to sever a connection to was the other PCs and Scary’s parents. Normal was actively trying to make friends, was he failing? Yes, but he was trying. That’s is too much work for Willy.

In general it’s one of the reasons why I think Willy is a great antagonist, he refuses to do certain things. Faking affection for normal would have taken to long and have been to hard. Scary didn’t need fake affection she needed to feel like she was independent and alone. However, normal has been shown to be a bit crazy about certain things, and I fully believe that if Willy was able to suck it up and go for normal shit would have hit the fan.

Normal also seems to base his active will you be my dad on people he perceived as good dads (Terry and Grant).

But then again I may also just be wildly misreading everything. Genuinely want to know some of you guy’s opinions. I’ve seen people talk about how far gone normal would be if Willy chose him, but not a lot of people say how much more effort it may have taken (maybe Willy said that’s why he didn’t. And I just forgot.)

Several of the PTA members very much are thirsting over Nicky. Hot single dad who mysteriously disappeared and is making an active effort to connect with his kid? What more could you want? (Emotional stability not withstanding). The only time Terry Jr has ever really gotten anything approaching jealous or possessive was during one of the PTA meetings where the conversation somehow derailed into talking about Nicky (who was absent) and how attractive he is. Like yeah, Nicky is super hot and really pretty but can we stop speculating about how he is in bed and start talking about the upkeep for the soccer field please. Someone brings up the fact that Terry and Nicky used to date and asked about the size of his ding-dong; Terry changed the topic so fucking quickly what is wrong with these people

The school has a Spring Fair every year to do fundraising and also just generally fun activities. There's a tombola, flower crown making classes, plenty of homemade treats, a dancing competition. It's a lot like the spring festival in the Sims 3 seasona pack if you're familiar with that. Terry Jr and Veronica volunteered to help out at the lemonade stand and at one point when it wasn't too busy, started dancing to the music. A soft, fun dance with lots of twirls and laughter and staring softly into each others eyes. Specifically, I'm imagining Terry in a waistcoat and flower crown and Veronica in a green retro dress with actual flowers decorating it (probably courtesy of Sparrow or Henry's druid powers). Or potentially the outfits being swapped around

(Imagine also: Nicky and Cassandra in the background staring longly at the couple because oh my gosh the way they look at each other is so cute and also they kind of want their respective crushes to look at them like that as well they're just so sweet)

Cassandra and Nicky definitely got into one of those smearing cupcake icing on each others faces fights that exist in romcoms, either in baking the cupcakes or selling them. Taylor delightedly joined in because any battle is training for his journey as a samurai and also because he likes seeing his mum and dad have fun and wants to join in

I have a whole set of scenes about a school hiking trip that Coach Darnell organises but I think that will get it's own separate reblog later because it deserves it

Nicky returns from wherever he's been and is like "Well I want to be an active part of my kid's life and try and make up for lost time. I should go to his parents' evening, find out how he's doing in school, and meet his teachers. Especially this Mr Marlowe guy, Taylor seems to think he's awesome." And walking right into that classroom/hall to find his ex-boyfriend best friend sitting there in a dorky sweater and tie combo

Cue Terry, without missing a beat, greeting them as if nothing is wrong

I’m listening to boo york boo york again so here’s various extended lore for the fic I posted last night (a bit of spoilers for the fic itself)

ok so the original dads are like normal mortals who get pulled into the world of like supernatural stuff. Henry actually had witch back in his bloodline (instead of elf) and Glenn does become a demon, but there’s no weird timeline with nick stuff, Glenn just like broke a demon deal or something (idk I haven’t thought about it enough leave me alone)

so nick is a demon still, and Grant and terry stay human. Sparrow gets bit by an unknown werewolf (love wolf,,,,, you see my vision) and it’s this event that makes lark like turn on Henry bc he feels he didnt protect sparrow enough and so lark dedicates himself to hunting down the werewolf that bit his brother.

terry is bit by a vampire at some point, not turned, his blood just gets sucked.

grant and marco adopt an abandoned little zombie boy (Lincoln) but bc he’s a zombie and they’re kinda frowned upon in even the monster world they homeschool him for most of his life

terry marries Veronica and finds out that the Marlowe line is a long far back lineage of vampires and scary is constantly trying to make him think she’s gonna drink his blood (she won’t)

scary is also a really powerful witch along with being a vampire and she’s so strong that it draws the attention of willy stampler who’s also a really powerful witch (became so after Ron was born) and he becomes the first person she ever turned into a vampire. Also Scary’s full vampire and not a dhampir so she thinks her bio dad is cooler than terry bc he’s an actual vampire

my vision for link is a lot of physical comedy. Like when Grant and Marco saw him for the first time as a little zombie baby (he was bitten young) his eye fell out and he’d like constantly having to put his rotting limbs back into place

similarly to the actual podcast, Taylor doesn’t know he’s part demon until like high school where he goes through a fig faeth type puberty and the dads reconnect and decide to send their kids to school together. He never really knows nick for a while though, Cassandra’s the one who makes the decision to go to the other dads for help.

werewolf politics are similarly complicated to those of vampires and so bitten wolves are kinda frowned upon because they don’t have a well known pack name, and even though normal was born a werewolf, sparrow wasn’t so it’s kinda frowned upon. Hero goes to school with mortals, but normal isn’t good enough at controlling himself so he goes to school with monsters but still tries to be quiet about it. He’s also doesn’t really fit the werewolf stereotype and he thinks that if the other werewolves at school found out they’d mock him

Assume most undead age to a certain extent (idk why yet, I don’t have all answers, fuck off) but hermie is like full dead, he got burned to death when he was like nine years old, but ghosts don’t really have a set form anymore, so he can choose how he wants to appear and he typically chooses how he’d look nine plus however many years he’s been dead. He can look like most other things though, which is why he’s such a good actor, but he can never appear without the burn scars because that’s how he died. He hasn’t been dead long enough to be able to make himself fully corporeal but he can do certain parts of his body
