When Buddie go dating!

Look the maroon blazer from the sneak peek had me spiralling hard last night so I decided to take a look at Eddie And Buck when they try dating because as I said in my other post - Eddie wearing a shade of red in connection with a first date - doesn’t bode well for the relationship!!!

If we went with the very strict definition of a first date then the only ones we’d have are Ana and the new one, however I’ve included a couple of other instances that I think re also first date adjacent enough to count!

In chronological order we have

I’ve included this one because when we have Eddie rocking up to Bucks to ‘help Maddie move - its important to remember that at this point Buck doesn’t know Eddie is still married to Shannon. Eddie thinks Buck has set him up on a date when Buck says he lied about helping Maddie move - if it was that kind of set up it wasn’t going to end well!

This one is a two parter - Eddie worrying about hooking up with Shannon and letting her back into Christophers life - worrying about essentially dating her again and if its what is best for Chris.

followed up by Chris telling Eddie what his Christmas wish is - to have his mother back - and Eddie therefore deciding to let Shannon back in. I know this isn’t technically a first date (either scene) but it is the moment that the relationship is rekindled properly - the moment we see Eddie make the decision to date her again - for Chris.

And now this date non date where Eddie was going to let her down gently but she beats him to the punch!

Eddie doesn’t wear maroon or burgundy all that often. We get a couple connected with the fight club arc and the only other times we see Eddie in maroon/burgundy are in familial moments - seeing Chris off to summer camp or when Buck comes over in 6x12 - its not a colour he wears often.

Buck

Then we have Buck. who doesn’t wear maroon or burgundy on first dates but he does wear black and the same thing happens - they don’t go well for him or the relationships don’t go well.

This is a second attempt at a first date so I’m including it - it also doesn’t end very well

His first date with Ali sees him in a black knit polo. I haven’t included his hook ups with Taylor that precede this - because they are just that hook-ups - they are not an intention to date, they are spontaneous things that happen and Taylor doesn’t want anything more at this point even if Buck would’ve!

Eddies dating Ana so Buck starts dating to - this one with Veronica goes super well for him!!! He’s wearing a black jacket during the date and we then don’t ee him in it after the date is over and he runs into her again.

Taylor still wants to just hook-up but Buck thinks he’s on a double date - a detail he didn’t mention to Taylor. this ‘date’ also goes really well for him!! Buck is wearing a black button up/down shirt (I can’t remember which it is)

And then we have Poker date - where Buck is wearing a black shirt again Buck thinks its just going to be him and Eddie going out and playing a bit of poker - very date like! Only then Julie Rosen is there and things spiral outwards from then on. Buck has a great time winning etc. but the way the script plays out it reads like Buck expected a date of some sort and he thinks he misunderstood the assignment! this black shirt burgundy blazer being followed by Eddie in the same outfit to a date that his date makes into a note date is making me cackle!

So there we have it. I’m very much expecting any further dates Eddie goes on to involve him wearing maroon or burgundy and any Buck goes in to involve black.

When we see them go on an actual first date together - I think we’ll see them in colours closer to those we see them in around each other in everyday environments - so a combination of green and blue, and possibly some cream or yellow, but no white (on Buck) or black or red.

Do Min ik… yum! Last time I saw that actor was in Call it love. What a 180! I love it.

That drama is one of my faves!! It has that silly and soft kdrama feel that I just love. The hand-washing scene? CHEF'S KISS.

any book recs?

SO MANY OMG ill try to recommend some non-booktok/not mainstream series and books.

ill go by genres:

first my favourite book series in the world and forever my favourite book series is the percy jackson series <333 idc thay its for kids it’s so fun and emotional and entertaining i love it. has my all time favourite fictional couple and fictional character (percy and percabeth)

fantasy:

the cruel prince series (holly black; YA), the political intrigue and character development in this series is so good! also has one of my favourite protagonists and book couple :)

falling kingdoms series (morgan rhodes; YA), again more political intrigue and it is a bit slow at first but the plot picks up. also this has multiple povs!!

lost boy (christina henry; YA/NA?), MADE ME CRY AND IDEK WHY. retelling of peter pan but in captain hooks pov (he used to be one of peters lost boys). finished it in one night

storm and fury (jennifer l. armentrout; YA), probably the only series from her ill read. really like the main character and romance :) did not read the last book tho if im being honest LMAO

poison study series (maria v. snyder; YA ish? leaning towards NA high fantasy), i ADORED the premise of this book and rlly enjoyed the characters, world building and plot. the romance is subtle but is there and it’s all around a really interesting and immersive read.

dystopian:

all these monsters duology (amy tintera; YA), i rlly adore the main characters and the romantic subplot🫶🫶

angelfall series (susan ee), ONE OF THE MOST UNDERRATED AND FUN DYSTOPIANS !! love the female mc + love the male lead + made me cry + angels = perfect. the romance in this was also so cute

mystery:

malice (keigo higashino; adult) so SO clever and hands down my favourite mystery book. if you like smart, nuanced mysteries that leave you guessing at every turn then this is the one!

the 7 deaths of evelyn hardcastle (stuart turton; adult). this book is my favourite stand-alone of all time and it is so unique, SOOO clever, and so fun. it’s basically a time-loop, clue-style, body-swapping murder mystery that i guarantee you won’t be able to guess the plot twist of.

the word is murder (anthony horowitz; adult), super cool concept that is executed well (in my opinion), enjoyed the narration and the actual mystery! unlikeable deuteragonist tho

the inmate (frieda mcfadden; adult), had me stressed out the entire book🧍🏻‍♀️ also had another plot twist i did NOT see coming at the very very end.

basically anything agatha christie, queen of mystery novels, but mostly: and then there was none, and any hercule poirot novel

contemporary romance:

y’all i don’t rlly like contemporary romance but kulti, the wall of winnipeg is me, wait for it, and lukov with love (all by mariana zapata) are very good!! they are slowburn romances and HEALTHY (!!!!!!!!) relationships.

historical fiction:

veronica speedwell series (deanna raybourn; YA), a badass lepidopterist, a hot grumpy taxidermist, a setting in victorian london, murder mysteries, and BANTER !!!! what else do you need?

stalking jack the ripper series (kerri maniscalco; YA). basically all that above except forensic scientists^^^ this series also has one of my favourite book couples ever and is overall incredibly entertaining and clever.

classics:

the iliad and the odyssey🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶 (homer LMAO)

Apareció en el escenario del pabellón Expo de Tel Aviv (Israel) para presentar Future, junto al rapero estadounidense Quavo, una de las canciones de su nuevo disco Madame X.

En septiembre de ese mismo año, inició su undécima gira de conciertos, Madame X Tour, que continuó hasta marzo de 2020.

Además de Lourdes María tuvo otro niño nacido el 11 de agosto del 2000, Rocco Ritchie, hijo del director cinematográfico Guy Ritchie, con el que se casó en diciembre del 2000.

Además tiene cuatro hijos adoptivos: Chifundo Mercy James, David Banda Mwale y las gemelas Estere y Stella.

Además de sus manías varias veces trascendieron sus pedidos para cuando sale de gira.

Exige tener en su camarín por lo menos 20 líneas de teléfono internacional y que esté repleto de lirios y rosas blancas, pero las flores además de ser frescas deben tener sus tallos cortados a 15,24 centímetros (seis pulgadas)

En los últimos años además ordena comida vegana es decir con ningún componente de origen animal o derivados de productos animales como huevos o lácteos.

En diversas ocasiones también pidió que los muebles del cuarto de hotel donde se hospeda sean reemplazados por los propios. La vajilla que usa debe ser de cristal o porcelana.

De todos los pedidos que hace Madonna para sus giras y presentaciones, sin duda el más curioso es su orden de destruir los inodoros que usa en cada hotel donde se hospeda.

Para mantener su cuerpo casi en el mismo estado que cuando tenía 20 años, además realiza seis comidas diarias, tres con porciones pequeñas y tres principales un poco más abundantes. Bebe mucho jugo y su favorito es el de sandía. También come barritas de proteínas orgánicas, frutas, verduras y granos como la quinoa.

En el 2016 cuando recibió el premio a la Mujer del Año en la gala Billboard pronunció un discurso contundente: "Cuando sos mujer se te permite ser linda y sexy. Pero no parezcas inteligente y finalmente, no envejezcas. Porque envejecer es un pecado. Vas a ser criticada y denigrada y definitivamente no te van a pasar en la radio".

Which is also very funny because those shows are soooooo similar! Plus if you watch The Secret Life of My Secretary you get to be in the presence of Veronica Park-ee-ay-yo (trust me you'll end up loving her!) Anyways, those two definitely fit the two guy friends hook up with the two girl friends!

Oh and Twenty Five Twenty One, Go Back Couple and Laughter In Waikiki all have a friend circle where there are multiple couples (maybe not duos but close?)
