For @obava and anyone else: the way Bluesky does verification is instead of badges, you tie your account to your website domain. So the "ao3status.bsky" and ao3-status.bsky" are fake/unofficial, because they're not using the archiveofourown.org (or transformativeworks.org) domain(s).

This is also how you can verify anyone with their own sites. John Scalzi, Diane Duane, Courtney Milan, and Wil Wheaton, for example, are authors that have Bluesky handles that use their own domains, instead of the default bsky.social. Ellipsus and ProPublica are other examples of organizations with their own domains. Bluesky has a Help article about this. I have a few friends and longtime mutuals who have also secured their handles via their personal domains.

When in doubt, check the domain to see if an organization or well-known personage is legit. It's not 100% (not all actors, for instance, use their own domains), but it can cut down on fakers and unofficial accounts.
