@t3mpest98 making a whole new post because there's a lot to say and he deserves his own post, Tomas my sweetheart <3

So! Tomas Fernando, also known as Papa by pretty much all of the second generation and Avi by the third. He's the oldest child of his family and has six younger siblings (and a lot of nieces and nephews. A lot a lot.) He was born in Andorra, where his parents still live, and speaks Catalan as his first language, but he moved to Toulouse in France to attend medical school in order to become a surgeon. He had a pretty long-time girlfriend at this point, Frida, and she became pregnant pretty young, and they had their first kid (Nicholas) by the time Tomas was 19. They then kinda went "okay, what's a second one, let's just get having kids over with" and they had their second, Beatrice, within the next year, so rocking two under two at 20. But hey, university and medical school is starting great, they like living in the city, all is great, they get married because they're young and in love and have two kids and all is wonderful and the world is open. Frida does get pregnant again pretty soon by accident, and they eventually decide to keep the baby as well, because as said, life seems pretty great.

And then disaster strikes, and Frida gets diagnosed with cancer while she is pregnant with their youngest. She tries to hold on the rest of the pregnancy and makes it through the first round of treatments, but the cancer turns out to be entirely too aggressive, and she dies when their youngest, Cecilie, is couple of months old, leaving Tomas with three very young kids.

Tomas at this point just kinda goes on to the autopilot and just continues on. Gets the kids a nanny, continues school, tells everyone that he's okay, just fine, no need to worry. He does, of course, eventually start to feel the whole thing, and starts just falling asleep on school because he spends none of his free time actually resting, and this eventually gets the attention of another student who just. really wants Tomas to not sleep on the study room table. Or anywhere else where he is on the way. So in comes Daniel! Daniel starts to feel pretty bad for Tomas after getting to know him for a bit, and decides to be a good guy and volunteers to babysit the kids every now and then so Tomas can actually get some rest. They do become besties over the course of this, and the kids get really attached to Daniel as well.

And then Daniel brings over his friends: his girlfriend Talia and their mutual childhood bestie Elsa. Elsa is also a medical student, and she and Tomas also become fast friends (as do Tomas and Talia ofc), and over the next year, they do start slowly dating. They're not in a hurry with anything, just two friends enjoying each others company, and overall enjoying the whole dynamic the four of them have, and then Elsa gets accidentally pregnant as well (Tomas your track record with accidental pregnancies is now 3-1, what the hell my guy). Elsa does want to keep the baby, as Talia and Daniel are also having a kid and she really does want to raise hers with them, so there comes Ryan! So now Tomas is a graduating doctor and has four kids (+ Lavi, Talia and Daniel's kid, as the four of them are starting the form some sort of polycule situation at this point and are all just parenting all of the kids together lmao). He and Elsa do get married three years later, after five years of knowing each other. Both he and Elsa start working as surgeons, and hey, life is hectic and all that, but it's good once again.

When Ryan and Lavi are six and in first grade, they bring home a couple of friends with them, brothers Xiang and Chang, and it pretty soon turns out that the two don't really have a good home life at all, and after some time, Tomas and Elsa end up fostering the two, and by the time they are around eight, Xiang and Chang get adopted into the family as well.

Around this time, the group starts to plan moving out of France, and eventually settle for New Zealand, and they move to work in Auckland, and in our current timeline, they do live there still, Tomas (and Elsa) once again working as surgeons.

Now, when I tell you that Tomas is the biggest sweetheart, I really mean it. He is nice and pretty soft-spoken, and always has room in his heart for anyone that needs it, and all of his kid's friends and significant others are pretty close with him and consider him as a bonus parent of sorts. He can, of course, be very assertive if the situation demands it, and he is also extremely collected and level-headed 90% of the time. He's also tall. Like, really tall, as in over 2 meters tall, and looks uncannily like the mascot for Reissumies (a Finnish rye-bread brand, this one: )

He also just really loves being a dad. He did not intend to have so many kids, at least not so young, but he wouldn't change anything now. He is also extremely protective of his kids, and while he is able to stay pretty rational when it comes to them, he also loses all of his impulse control of something happens (like punching straight through their bathroom door in order to give Ryan his Epi-Pen once). He also pretty much lacks the sense for any sort of sarcastic humor, which is unfortunate because that's most of the jokes Elsa, Talia and Daniel make. He knows they are jokes but he just cannot make himself make them himself haha, so it's pretty much Tomas and his three gremlins. Tomas also loves being a grandfather and he does by now have multiple grandchildren (and also treats the rest of the kids in the family like his grandkids), and is just all around a very chill guy. Also has the uncanny ability to somehow always be the first one in the room when something happens or when there's a new grandkid being born. Like baby comes out, give fifteen minutes, he's knocking on the door and asking how you guys are doing. No, he does not ask around, he just. sort of knows when anything is going on. Everyone says that it's his Dad Instincts TM. The radar is always picking up signals.

Also enjoys watching crime dramas (he cannot watch hospital dramas because they break his immersion and also Elsa will complain constantly), hiking and gardening. Despite his big heart though, he hasn't really ever wanted pets, nor did he have them growing up. The only reason they have any is because Ryan asked for a dog and Elsa made all of the kids like horses. Tomas is just there to hold the reins and telling everyone to take water breaks.

In short: Absolute Unit of a Dad, and we love him <3

Some tidbits!

Tomas is as tall as he is, because when I created him, we had a pretty long fantasy rp going on, and he was created to fit into that world's lore, and then I just kept him as a really tall man in everything else. I am really sorry for all the back troubles, my man

Tomas is Andorran because I had an obsession with that country in middle school, and Ryan (who was created first) was Andorran as well (in a sense....if you know how I met my wife you know), so he stayed as such. Also speaks French, English, Spanish and some Norwegian and Hebrew.

Also has looked like he's 30 since he was 23. To be honest he still looked the exact some at 40. Also has had a beard since he was 20 and no one who has met him after that has never seen him without it. It's a running joke at this point.

Bisexual king who has no idea of any of the lingo, despite most of his kids being queer as well. He's just vibing.

His parents hunted Nazis.

Birthday is 3rd of June, 1968 (he's the same age as my dad!)
