Adults’ Team!

Been thinking about Deadeye all weekend long…and the wonderful cast of characters, most of which I haven’t drawn in several years…and I finally came to the realization that if you want cute pictures of your characters that actually reflect your current skill level, you have to ;_; *sniffs* take the time to make them exist...

So that’s what I did last night, and tonight I’m going to color them so I can stop feeling guilty about it. ^^;

I don’t think I’ve ever really explained what Deadeye is since I left DeviantArt...I guess I figured I wouldn’t post more than a few doodles once in a blue moon, so it wouldn’t be that necessary for anyone to understand. ^^; I have a bad habit of not taking this concept seriously, even though it’s probably one of my best-- I’ve worked on it for almost a third of my life at this point, and it shows, at least to me.

In brief: it’s a fantasy action series, where each of the ‘superhero’ characters (including Deadeye himself) represents a daysign of the Aztec calendar. They were given those representations and superpowers by a certain phantom girl who seeks to remake the world and become a god...and their job is to perform the sacrifices necessary to make that happen.

Of course, they’re not exactly thrilled about that, and thus goes the plot. ^^; It’s really kind of a dark story, despite the bright colors and fun designs, and of course that’s why I love it and why I’ve spent so much time trying to perfect it, so I can bring it to life someday.

Reflexiones tras un beso inesperado

Hoy besé a alguien y no me gustó.

No fue como los besos de Vanesa. Aunque ella es mujer y el que besé hoy fue un chico, no fue una experiencia agradable. Intento olvidar lo que pasó, pero no puedo evitar sentir que de alguna manera le fallé a Vanesa. Sin embargo, también sé que no estamos en una relación seria, así que, por ese lado, no me siento tan mal.

Este beso me hizo darme cuenta de lo importante que es la conexión y la química que se comparte con alguien. Con Vanesa, todo se siente natural y verdadero, mientras que este beso fue simplemente un recordatorio de que no todos los momentos íntimos tienen el mismo significado.

Me encuentro en un dilema emocional, balanceándome entre el sentimiento de culpa y la racionalización de la situación. Quizás, este incidente me ha enseñado más sobre lo que realmente busco en una relación y con quién deseo compartir esos momentos especiales.
