I came up with this post-Tatooine-"partner"-mission short comic idea, but I honestly don't know when I'll really draw this.

I'm not good with words but I wrote a really short-lived script for it. Still wanted to share since the tag is really empty:

*after the shooting on Tatooine, Kay leads Vail to the couch on the trailblazer to patch her up*

Kay: You should- uh- probably get that jacket out of the way.

Vail: Oh- right

*Kay rummages for a stim and bandages. When she gets up, she finds Vail without her Jacket. Sleeveless.*

*Kay is stunned for a moment. Holds the stim in her hand*

*Vail proceeds to take the stim, not noticing Kays state*

Vail: Dank Farrik.. [relieved]

*This wakes Kay from her trance*

*Kay takes the bandage and gets ready to patch Vail up*

Vail: You don't have to-

*vail shys away*

Kay: Let me [smoothly].

*both women hold an intense gaze for just a moment. Then Kay brakes it hastily and concentrates on the bandage.Blushing. Vail also looks away. Both crack a smile.*

I really want to draw Kay and Vail (ship ship ship) but I just don't know their dynamic enough.

With Kay, it's really confusing to imagine her flirting because at the beginning on Toshara -when we have this mission to get an upgrade part- she's soo akward when making poorly advances at Selo that I thought she's be more of a dork in those regards.

This might sound tremendously ridiculous, but in a way, a big part of her character arc is that she get's more confident, more open to other people without using her pseudo-confidence and comedy as a defense mechanism- and in a way this can be observed in how she acts around people she likes.

Obviously Vail isn't just somebody she misttrusts simply because of her trust issues, but because Vail is literally hunting her down. But even then you can feel how refreshing it is for Kay to have somewhat of a clearance and validation of her insecurities. And this develops into a more of a rival-to-friends to...lovers(?) delulu brain go brr

She just acts way more confident when Vail is around. Especially in the end pre-credits scene.

Anyway~ because I find this dynamic so layered and Kays personality so... so... developed(?!?) during the game, it's really hard to get the right image into my head.

Part of my creative process is to find the right angle- the right approach to my drawings. They aren't even that good most of the time but I find if an art piece envokes the right feeling in you and captures the nature of its muse, it could very well be a dot on blank paper and still be a masterpiece.

So I might wait till I get something out. It might take time.
