Idk why it bothers me so much seeing Vahide as Hürrem curtsying to Fatma, or to anyone. Maybe it's because Vahide has such a regal presence it seems so viscerally wrong. It would be like watching Nebahat Çehre as Hafsa curtsy to someone.

Idc what people say but Mereyem Uzereli and Vahide Percin slayed Hurrem. They both played diffrent Hurrem eras almost diffrent charaters (based on the age ,timing ,power ,positon,ambitions etc.) Mereym's expressions were on POINT loved her. Vahide's aura is sooo elegant (again that's the Hurrem's charateristics in that era)

Aldatmak Vahide Percin

For anyone who follows #vahideperçin and #aldatmak ... the audacity of Tarik Yenersoy ... is unreal.

A presiding judge, Percin's character suddenly catches her husband of 30 years committing bigamy for the last 5 years and has a daughter by the woman who unknowingly believes she's married to Guzide's husband. Not good.

Worse over a series of scandals with the dirty money that Tarik is in the middle of, she is forced out of her position as a Judge and Tarik files for divorce and initiates a law suit when Guzide refuses the divorce.

It all culminates to even more scandals and when Guzide decides to grant the divorce, and doesn't want financial support, Tarik has a change of heart and asks Guzide to forgive him.

Scandals and deceit are the crux of this Turkish drama.

What do you think about Vahide as Hurrem?

I took the change pretty lightly, to be honest. Mom was almost about to give up on the show when she found out (and I was watching it with her) but when we actually reached season 4, we not only got used to her (even though this could be partly because the Bulgarian voice actress remained the same), we loved her. She's a phenomenal actress and she made an amazing Hürrem. I actually rewatched S04 through and through this summer and I appreciated her even more. It's like... yes, she's different than Meryem, she is definetly not like Meryem but also, they're not to be compared because Vahide gave us a way different Hürrem than Meryem's. And of course, we were in a completely different stage of Hürrem's life, the hardest stage. She was desperate for revenge for Mehmet, then she finally achieved it but at what cost?, she saw Cihangir die, she tried to calm Selim and Bayezid down, struggling to choose between them, claiming that they shouldn't fight, that the affair with Mustafa was something completely different altogether, we saw her in pain but still trying her best, we saw her in denial, we saw her as a mother doing everything she can to protect her sons, we saw her cry, do intrigues, we saw her get angry, worried, trying to finish everything in time, before it's too late... And under all that there was a majestic, commanding, empowered presence which constantly left everyone in awe: her friends, allies and kids were proud, enlightened and gave her the most of respect while her enemies were intimidated, powerless and trembling. And despite of that, she still showed compassion and understanding when she could: she was ready to close all the accounts with her two biggest enemies.

Vahide did all of that perfectly. Let's not mention that her Hürrem was probably closer to the historical one than Meryem's: she played political intrigues, she had incredible power and used her mind well even in conversations with Süleiman. (about time, right?) Speaking of which, I really loved her chemistry with Halit especially in her last episodes.

Yea, Vahide's character definitely wasn't as playful as the one Meryem portrayed but that's not necessarily a bad thing, quite the opposite actually. This helped us see extremely well how MC!Hürrem changed with time and how her roots were slowly fading away. We could also see how serious everything was. (see: S04 completely focusing on political intrigues and having... let's say 99% no comedy)

The fact that nearly the entire fandom became upset that Meryem got replaced by Vahide and decided to hate on season 4 without watching a single episode just because of her, boycott the entire show because of her and miss out on arguably the best told part of the main story.. that's their loss :)
