TVB Discord Server's First Art Contest

Hey y'all! Just wanted to announce that we're doing our first art contest on the Violet Banquet's Discord Server!

The First Art Contest will be from December 15, 2024 (12:00 AM EST) - January 11, 2025 (11:59 PM EST). This will be FOUR WEEKS. Everyone will have 5 votes each. This one will be for emojis/stickers for the server; The Top Pieces for each prompt will be made into an emoji.

There will be FIVE prompts in this Contest: "Bad Time Trio", "The Star Sanses", "The Bad Sanses", "Ink, The Protector", and "In The Anti-Void". Anyone who wishes to enter can only submit one entry per prompt. You can do multiple prompts if you wish.

i saw the matchup against fresh and blueberror, and im here to argue why blueberror is more silly.

to put it into words: freshs silly and whimsy is entirely fake to get you to trust him, while blueberror silly and whimsy is genuine and while he also wants you to trust him, that comes from a place of care and love for everything (including you!) while freshs comes from a selfish place of wanting to stay alive.

fresh is more smart than silly, and while underverse is a bit noncanon, i believe that his smarts are shown more than his silly there in 0.7 pt 1. he tricks ink to make him do the right thing. but thats only because he doesnt want to die. sure, he was a bit silly while he did it, but it was more of a smart thing than a silly think. his silliness isnt apart of who he is.

we never see blueberror in ask errors canon, but we do know that he is very genuine and wishes no harm on you. he is silly, while not intending to be so. he has witnessed the horrors, but he still stays a good person throughout all that. a silly person, who just wants to be your friend, but still a good person. his silliness is apart of who he is.

i feel like a big part of being silly is being genuine. it being a core trait of who you are. we just dont get that with fresh.

dont vote fresh just because he APPEARS silly. youre falling for what he wants you to believe. unlike blueberror, who IS truly silly.

i know fresh is more popular. i know blueberror is going to lose, because less people care about him. and thats unfortunate. but i really hope i could change your mind with this post.

Hi Jass! I do apologize if this has been asked before, and I know it was quite a while ago that you made this comic, but I believe you said once that in “The Killing Kind” lyric comic it was voted on whether it would have a happy or sad ending. Obviously the happy ending was the one voted for, but what would the ending have been if that weren’t the case? Anyways, I hope you have a great day! Your art is absolutely amazing, and you are definitely a big inspiration to me! :)

There... was no “sad” option, only “happy” and “bittersweet” though? The bittersweet ending was actually the original plan, but I let people’s choice sway me! Though “ending” isn’t quite the right word here. The difference goes much deeper than just the ending.

Basically, the original idea was supposed to be tied to Error’s arc in the “Inky and the Glitches” thing and end up with Reaper watching with a sad smile as Error leaves with Ink and Blueberror.

Perhaps, it’s for the best that I settled for the “happy ending” version, because otherwise the comic would’ve had way faster pacing, since it would’ve also included parts with Ink and Blueberror, a bit of background info on Life, Reaper, Geno and the kids. Oh, and the whole story arc with Goth trying to murder Error, of course! :D

So, yeah, it was probably for the best.
