Hi, everyone. I just released a new album on Bandcamp.

ARRANGEMENTS is a curated album of arrangements written over the course of about fourteen years. To me, it seems impossible to conceive of a composer who was not compelled to begin their creative journey through the work of others; so I see this album as, on the one hand, a tribute to certain composers whom I admire, with Hitoshi Sakimoto finding the greatest representation among the group. On the other hand, I think this album demonstrates the scope of what's taken my fancy, leading me to spontaneously rework pieces which otherwise don't occupy much of my mental space -- such as the theme music for the YouTube channel MemeAnalysis, or a song from The Little Mermaid. Some tracks have been modified to sound a little more dynamic or balanced in their mixing, but in most cases the pieces have remained untouched since their compositional completion. The tracklist is roughly organized according to a chronological order.

Alright, we're putting down some ground rules.

First off, my friend SHANBO is the one who motivated me to do this at all, and I nearly went with her "The Clash" Inspired 'The Only VG Music Blog that Matters', but as great as that is, I respect the work of other VG Music blogs. I'd never hear PLOK's OST were it not for them. I figured there's no better way to emphasize my own priorities with this music blog than in it's very first post- Everything I post will be related to video games in some way. I will be generally avoiding music that is created for another project, that is used in video games. Think Tapes in MGSV- I would love to throw Rebel Yell, but that feels like cheating. Just as well, as much as it pains to me say, music that is specifically inspired by video games, but lacks any of the melodies from them, is off limits. No Protomen. But, covers, vocal additions, and remixes, are fair game. This blog will end up favoring Touhou and such, so if there's a bunch of submissions in a row that are remixes from that series, you've been warned. I'm Roxx, your DJ if you choose to let me. Old School Runebreaks is album of official remixes of the old school RuneScape OST sanctioned by Jagex, the game's developer. I was thrilled when Jagex asked me to put together an official remix album of the old school runescape OST. Like so many of us who grew up gaming in the 00s, RuneScape was my first introduction into online RPGs and the soundtrack is something that's stayed with me ever since. Choosing which tracks to remix was no easy task; I decided on a blend of personal favorites and iconic tunes that hold a special place in the community. It was an honor to be chosen to rework this legendary OST and I hope you all enjoy the result as much as I enjoyed creating it.
