Buraya Chatgpt ile ilgili bi gönderi yazdıktan sonra gidip ücretli versiyonunu satın aldım. Ve pek memnun kalmadım açıkçası.

Geçen hafta rüyalarımı chatgptye gönderip resimlemesini istemiştim. TALLERS D'IL·LUSTRACIÓ CIENTÍFICA EN FAMÍLIA

Els dibuixos de dinosaures, d'un virus o la representació d'un volcà són il·lustracions científiques i són necessàries per ajudar-nos a aprendre. En aquest cicle d'activitats coneixeràs els professionals que es dediquen a crear aquestes il·lustracions i podràs dibuixar els espais de CosmoCaixa com un artista de debò.

Les sessions consten de tres parts: a la primera, coneixeràs un espai del museu a través d'una visita guiada. A la segona, tindrà lloc una trobada amb professionals de la il·lustració. I a la tercera, dedicada a la pràctica, faràs exercicis per posar en pràctica una tècnica de dibuix. A cada sessió es treballarà una temàtica i una tècnica artística diferents i ens hi acompanyarà un professional de la il·lustració científica diferent.

El paper del dibuix com a eina al servei de la ciència i el coneixement al llarg de la història,

des de temps pretèrits fins a arribar als nostres dies. Tot i haver de conviure amb mitjans més immediats, com la fotografia i el vídeo, el dibuix continua viu actualment.

Ja molt abans del naixement de la fotografia i el vídeo, els primers viatgers i viatgeres esperonats per finalitats científiques —ja es dediquessin a la geografia, l’arqueologia, la botànica, la zoologia, l’antropologia o l’art, entre altres camps del coneixement— van reflectir i difondre mitjançant el dibuix allò que havien vist durant els seus periples. Els il·lustradors i els quaderns de camp van esdevenir, per tant, elements indispensables en tota expedició científica.

Durant el segle xx, malgrat la generalització absoluta de la fotografia, el dibuix va continuar tenint un paper de primer ordre en la difusió del coneixement, en part perquè permet reflectir aspectes de la realitat que difícilment pot mostrar la fotografia…

Tauletes i telèfons mòbils –amb càmera incorporada– són pràcticament a l'abast de tothom; és el final de les llibretes de camp, llapis, estilògrafs i aquarel·les? Podria semblar que sí, sobretot observant com han desaparegut les assignatures de dibuix de carreres com antropologia, biologia o medicina, i sent la fotografia i el vídeo quelcom de més immediat. La realitat és que, en ple s. XXI, la il·lustració –ja sigui sobre paper o suport digital– continua sent fonamental per a descriure el periple del «Viatge Il·lustrat»...

Bad Luck. performed at the Nile Underground in Mesa, AZ on April 30th, just over a week into their marathon of a Spring tour with Dollar Signs and Taking Meds that kicked off in Cleveland, OH. Stopping at most places in the US and extending through Canada on their 39-day tour, there’s plenty of opportunity to catch these incredibly passionate musicians live. This is their first full country tour since the pandemic and since releasing Summer of Pain, a 12-song homage to New York, the Northeast, and those moments of love, victory, trials and tribulations in life that we’re all familiar with. We had the opportunity to interview singer Dominick Fox prior to the show. You can check that out here for context.

Unfortunately, Bad Luck. is more than just a name. It also describes the string of mishaps that tend to happen on the road. Dominick shared a story about poor booking management with the venue in Santa Ana, CA. Co-Headliner, Dollar Signs missed some dates due to issues with the virus-which-shall-not-be-named. They returned to the tour just after the Mesa stop. Tour mates, Taking Meds had their van break down in Wyoming, missed a few tour dates and ended up having to shell out for a new van. They have started a gofundme, of which the goal has already been met. I had a chat with Skylar of Taking Meds between bands and I do know that the gofundme did not cover the full expense, they just did not expect to ask for that much from their fans. Merch is another way to support your favorite bands. Buying merch at the show is most beneficial for the band and buying directly from their website would be the next best thing. Always avoid buying merch from amazon or other non-affiliated websites if your intention is to support the artists because those are often stolen design and the person getting paid has nothing to do with the band. Bad Luck. also announced some brand new merch and a tour exclusive vinyl variant.

The show kicked off with local artists, Practically People and Bethany Home. Practically people was first to play. They’re a cool young band sporting some cool looking guitars. They have a pleasant, laid back rock sound and are poised for a great career. Bethany Home followed up with some fun twinkly math rock/midwest emo sounds. These guys were reminiscent of bands like Modern Baseball, American Football, and the Front Bottoms and were also not lacking visually striking guitars. Both bands had a great time and it showed. Taking Meds took over just before the headliners. Their sound can be described as 90’s alternative rock tinged with a hint of math rock technicality. Their energetic punk rock sound is well interjected by really cool contrasting groovy moments. For taste of Taking Meds, check out Lifesaver from their 2021 LP, Terrible News from Wonderful Men. They’ll have you tapping your toes in blissful new nostalgia.

Finally, Bad Luck. took the stage. For music fans who grew up on bands like Bayside, Taking Back Sunday, and Saves the Day, the 4 piece out of Brooklyn, NY will be a welcomed addition to your musical repertoire. The band has a skillfully raw sound that is beautifully accented by the intentional composition, Dominick’s uniquely gritty yet controlled vocal timbre, and melodies and lyrics that will burrow their way deep in the recesses of whatever the “catchy song” part of your brain is. They put an equal amount of care into their live performances. An added benefit of their philosophy on analog vs digital tools in music is apparent live. Some bands are barely recognizable live verses their album tracks. Not Bad Luck. Seeing them live is like The energy that each member exhibited individually reverberated louder as a whole. Despite all the splatter these guys were wearing from the shit repeatedly hitting the fan, you’d never be able to tell. The mark of a fantastic performing musician is how much they leave on stage despite the obstacles. Something tells me this is the type of band that would play the same show to a crowd of 20 as they would for a packed ballroom. Don’t let this be one of those shows you wish you didn’t miss.

Görselde ywr alan eylemi hatırlıyor musunuz? Bu eylemi gerçekleştiren gençler Just Stop Oil isimli aktivist gruba üye. Biraz kazıdım üstünü. Arkasından çıkan renk benim için şaşırtıcı olmadı. Sıkıcı olmamasına özen göstereceğimi bir yazı ile anlatayım. (16 kasım 2022 tarihli yazım)

14 Ekim günü Just Stop Oil adlı gruba üye iki kişi Van Gogh’un Ayçiçekleri tablosuna konserve atarak eylem yaptı.

Eylemin ana teması; Petrol ve gaz üretimine son verilmesi gerektiğini savunmaları. Fakat eylem süresi boyunca herhangi bir devlet, şirket, kurum ismi verilmedi. Öznesi ve faili belirtilmeyen bir eylem yapılmış oldu.

Ufak bir araştırma yaptığınızda just Stop Oil bir grubun Britanya ayağı. (Greenpeace’in MI6 tarafından finanse edilmesini hatırla)

Batılı birçok ülkede farklı isimlerle eylemlerine devam ediyorlar. Yani anlayacağınız neredeyse küresel diyebileceğimiz bir organizasyonun bir ayağını görmüş olduk bu eylemle.

➡️1870’te Standart Oil şirketi kuruldu. Kurucu kişi John D. Rockefeller. Equation Campaign’in kurucuları ise Rebecca Rockefeller Lambert ve kuzeni Peter Gill Case ➡️Burada sorulması gereken bir soru var. Bu pek hayırsever zenginler, neden bu küresel eylem guruplarına böylesine devasa fonlar ayırıyor? Oldukça basit anlatmaya çalışayım; McKinsey isminde bir yönetim danışmanlığı şirketi var.

Bu şirketin kuruluşu ve kurucuları için ayrıca bir bilgisel yazılır. Şirket 2050 senesine dair bir rapor hazırladı. 2050'de sıfır karbon hedefine ulaşabilmenin koşullarını tespit etti. İlgili rapora göre bu hedefe ulaşabilmek için devletlerin, şirketlerin ve kişilerin enerji ve arazi kullanım sistemlerini değiştirmeleri gerekiyor. Bu değişimin hem rejimsel hem de ekonomik bir takım gereklilikleri var. Ekonomik gerekliliklerinden biri; toplam küresel harcamanın her yıl 3,5 trilyon dolar ayırması gerek Bu mevcut yatırım düzeyinin %60-65 oranında artışa geçmesi demektir. Bu geçişin mali yükü gelişmekte olan ülkeler ve fosil yakıt şirketlerinin üstüne kalacak. Bu bir aksamayı tetikler. Nedir o? Enerji tedariki! Enerji tedariki problemi de fiyat artışına sebep olur. Bu geçişin gündelik hayatlarımıza yansıyan tarafları olacak. Enerji faturalarındaki artış, en masum problemdir. Fosil yakıtlarla çalışan konut ısınma sistemleri ve otomobiller değişmek zorunda kalacak. İnsanların beslenme rejimlerini değiştirmeleri bile gerekecek.

Perdenin ardı ile ilgilenin, Bilmeyenleri Impossible Foods şirketi ile tanıştırmak isterim. Impossible Foods kısaca hayvansal kaynaklı ürünlerin, bitkisel ürünlerle taklit edilmiş hallerini üretmek amacı ile kuruldu. Örnekse etsiz köfte gibi..Bu şirketin yatırım ortaklarından biri Burger King. Fakat bir kişi daha var. Tabi ki Bill Gates. Bu fotografta da sentetik bir burgerin reklamını yapıyor. Beslenme rejimini değiştirmek, sanılan metotlarla yapılmayacak. Çocuklarınız sizden aldıkları harçlıklarla koşa koşa etsiz burger veya pizza tüketmeye gidecek. İç sesinizi duydum. Etli olan ne kadar etli ve sağlıklı? Evet haklısınız. Fakat burada değişen tek şey besinin kendisi değil. Ona bakış ve ondan beklenti de değişmiş olacak. İnsanları gerçeklerle yüzleştirmek, onları matrix'e uyandırmak gibi. Umarım bir parça başarabiliyorumdur.

1980'lerden 2000'lerin ortalarına kadar ExxonMobil , küresel ısınmayı sınırlamaya yönelik düzenlemelere karşı çıkarak iklim değişikliğini inkar etmede liderdi ama kendileri 1982 de hazırladıkları iklim raporunda günümüze kadar co2 salınımını biliyordu, tam 421 parça… Exxon bu konuda yalnız değildi Shell de 1988 de sera gazı raporu yayaınladı bu raporda 2030 yılına kadar co2 oranının 4 katına çıkacağını biliyordu ama yalan yayınlar yapıyorlardı güya iklim krizi yalandı hatta bunun için parayla tutulmuş bilim insanları dahi kullanıldı örnek, Mobil 1996 dan 1998 e kadar 12 farklı reklam yayınladı ve bunu 1997 de Kyoto iklim konferansına denk getirdi, amaç burdan çıkabilecek iklim değişikliği mücadele kararlarını sabote etmekti Kyoto protokolü imzalandı kamuoyu yatıştırıldı ancak şirketler işlemlerine devam etti 2006 ya kadar inkarları devam etti 2006 dan sonra ise kabul ettiler ancak ismini KARBON AYAKİZİ koyup suçu inekler ve halka attılar adı bulan ilk şirket ise BP firmasıydı buna greenwashing denir.. BP nin de firma logosunu (hellios) güneşe çevirme nedeni de işte bu greenwashing tir yani gerçeği gizliyorlar %100 yenilenebilir enerji yalanı da budur çünkü alımlarının yatırımlarının %90 ı petrol…

Aslında Hepsi yıllar önce dünya iklimine olacakları biliyorlardı ama devam ettiler

İlginç olan ise şuydu, bir yandan atmosferi kirletip tüm hayatı kalıcı olumsuz şekilde etkilerken diğer yandan çevreci grupları da finanse etmeleri ve daha ilginç olan bu çevreci grupların bunlara çevreci sertifikaları vermeleri (yazının içindeki linki okuyunuz )

Usage of Arabic Terms of Endearment

A run-down of the various terms and how and when to use them.

I get the appeal of calling someone ‘my life’ but hayati is not said nearly as often as the fandom has made it out to be. It’s not really the equivalent of ‘baby’ or ‘honey’, it’s a more intense term, is what I’m saying. Habibi is though.

There are tiers to terms of endearment and I’m going to try and break them down.

1. Habibi means ‘my beloved/darling’, in the relationship-sense it can mean ‘my lover’ / ‘my boyfriend’. It is the most commonly-used term to denote affection.

Like, do you have any idea how many Arabic love songs include habibi? If I made a compilation of sound-bites from every song that included ‘habibi’ it would be ten hours-long.

In every day conversations and among thoughtless pet names, it would be habibi.

It requires a different mood/intent/occasion. It can also be used for non-romantic relationships, like friends, pets, siblings or even acquaintances -- you know how there are some really friendly people who call everyone sweetie/love?

2. Hayati would be more emotionally-charged and tender scenes, like after Nicky was killed by Keane or when Joe was waxing poetic about his love for him in the van.

Habibi vs Hayati is like the difference between calling someone babe / sweetie / love and calling them love of my life / my heart. 

3. In a flirty sense, you can use ya amar -- comparing someone to the Moon is the highest compliment. There’s also ya ‘assal (honey) usually used in regards to someone being sweet i.e. more personality than looks. Same goes for sokkar (sugar). And, of course, ya (g)jamil (Beauty), you can also combine it into ya amar ya (g)jamil (Beautiful Moon).

4. More intensely romantic (can be used for strong familial love) terms include ‘Omri (my entire life) and Hobi (my love)  Rohi (my soul), Albi (my heart), and to a lesser extent ya ‘eyooni (my eyes) sometimes the three can be said in succession habibi, albi, rohi...

You can even make combinations like roh albi (soul of my heart), habib albi (beloved of my heart) and hayat albi (life of my heart).

5. And if you want to get real gushy and cutesy Haboob (darling), Amoori (Moon), ‘Assool (Honey) are like babycakes, sweetie pie, honeybunches etc. Usage depends on the tone, you can either be very lovey-dovey or purposefully cringey.

Unless you’re using babytalk to a literal baby.

6. Those can all also be used with heavy sarcasm/mockery, like when you’re about to tear someone a new one you could be like ‘Ya habibi, ya albi, ya rohi, I’m begging you to stop being such a moron’.

So, yeah, in memes and every day usage it’s habibi, in cheesy flirty scenes it’s ya sokkar/ya ‘assal. In compliments it’s ya amar and in more loving and focused moments it’s rohi, albi, hayati, etc.

(You can use most of these as platonic/familial)

7. There’s also different words for Love. Generally, it’s Hob --> Habibi/Hobi and I Love You is Ana Bahebak. In poetic (romantic) terms, there’s Hawa (Passion/Attraction) like ‘I'm a fool for you’ and ‘Ishq (Ardor) -- think Mr. Darcy’s ‘I love you most ardently’ can both denote the process of falling in love, conjugated as Ahwak and A’shiqaq respectively. There’s also Shoq (Longing/Yearning) which sounds like Shok the word for thorns.

But outside of poetry and songs, I Love You is typically Hob / Ana Bahebak. It’s the clearest and most precise.
