Oooh, hi! So, the thing is, I only have, like 6 fics posted anywhere and a couple of them need extensive rewrites (or I've kinda just written off because I'm not happy with it anymore & don't wanna rec, but haven't gotten around to deleting/orphaning). But here's what I've got.

1 - Recombined

Fandom: Mass Effect Andromeda. Relationship: Sis!Ryder/Jaal Ama Darav.

I'm very proud of this one, not least because it's one of the few things that actually got finished. It was unexpected because LJ was not a part of my "canon" Ryder's story (still isn't... well, not exactly) but I love her. I also find myself rereading this quite a bit especially when I need to remind myself that I can be a good writer.

2 - Vengeance and Saving the World

Fandom: Arrow (2012 TV show) + Pacific Rim. Relationship: Oliver Queen/Felicity Smoak

oof, this little guy is only like a week younger than my nephew. I'm not really even in the fandom anymore!

It's still weak in parts but, for a change, I don't actually care. I like the little jokes & nicknames. I'm proud of the bits of worldbuilding I got to add to the worlds I already smashed together. There was other stuff that I didn't eventually write like Tommy's dad was still alive with a kaiju egg and some nefarious plot or something. I do still get the odd kudos on this which I'm tickled by, but also, like, how the far in the weeds have you gone that you've found this almost 11 year old fella?

I know I haven't updated this in... well, a while. I am working on it, because I really enjoy writing all the little ways in which my headcanon is different from the game story or how they can all play together. Like I'm currently obsessing on how the angara have the intelligence to know about what happened on Eos (this is briefly mentioned by Jaal during the first meeting with Evfra). Like, there's probably a very simple explanation, but I'm having more fun with *spoiler 😆* that one day I plan on letting other people read.

This is not actually posted anywhere, but I do have some bits n' pieces that I've shared over the years, which I linked the tag. In my scrivener file, it's mostly a whole bunch of almost finished scenes & half started side stories (like there's a couple assassination attempts in Skyhold, one of which has become it's own little story inside the larger story, but I'm not really sure how they work that one out yet...). I'm probably going to be sharing more on tumblr soon, because I'm not writing it in any particular order & am getting impatient about sharing the stuff I'm proud of.

This is another one of those things that I start rereading so I can start working on & then just get sucked back in until it's hours later & I'm like "wait...what was I doing again?"

it's usually the other way around. jiwon hasn't enough fingers to count the times ravi has rescued him from blinding lights, glass and steel, unyielding concrete, and the rough hands of a faceless stranger. sometimes, on those nights when jiwon swears he can still feel the pins and nails in his leg, ravi is there to assure him they're not. he can't be there for jiwon every second of every day, nor does jiwon expect him to be, but he would go so far as to say that ravi has saved his life by simply being in it.

when the time comes for jiwon to return the favour, he doesn't hesitate. he just isn't expecting for it to be in the middle of an impromptu dance lesson. maybe an out-of-place nightmare, a would-be fire on the stove, or even a flurry of hardcover novels falling from the topmost bookshelf would have made more sense, but jiwon isn't one to complain. if he has to cushion ravi's head in his lap, to check for bruises or signs of concussion because he slipped during an attempted aerial invert, then jiwon will do just that. (and he's laughing, a little, because ravi somehow managed to do a full 720 on his way down, but jiwon has a first aid kit within arm's reach still.)

The film is very predictable from the beginning and has a very formulaic approach towards the screenplay. The first half of the film is spent in introducing characters and giving out statistics about the plight of government schools in state. The second half is about how Kranti manages to win the war against the Salatri Group.

eyes bright like christmas morning, jiwon eagerly accepts the phone and wastes no time in submitting an order. one pineapple and ham, medium, vegan crust... part of him is tempted to add a dessert, but the pizza is already enough of a diet cheat. any more would just be irresponsible. mindful of any cracks in the screen, jiwon reviews the order and hands the phone back to the wallet, a.k.a. ravi anand.

"i literally just told you to quit it with the bro stuff!" smacking ravi with a pillow isn't enough, so jiwon decides to also shove him in the side with ice-cold toes. (serves him right!) then, as if further offended, jiwon scoffs and hops out of his seat. he even puts some distance between them and makes a show of stretching as tall as physically possible. "when i say the entire chicago set, i mean the entire chicago set! now get up and stretch those hammies you're so proud of!"

When given a direction, Ravi embarks with little to no hesitation. Even does the gentlemanly thing and hands Jiwoo the beat up cellphone to choose first. And… Well, tries his best to keep his giant mouth shut when anything remotely pineapple shows up.

Again, this is about Jiwoo and not himself.

“Riiiight… Right, my bad…” Oh, the visible strain on his face.. “Brostopheles.” Look, if he doesn’t address someone bro—something, he’ll go blue in the face! Spontaneously combust, even! And no one wants that, right? How else is he supposed to do the entirety of Chicago the musical? “Wait— are we talking about the entire set? Like, start from the beginning and do each bop chronologically, set? ‘Cause I’m so down. Just gotta give me some time to warm up and stretch. Can’t be pulling a hammie mid-song.”

im not a writer but. ive been plagued w visions lmao it goes like this:

the engagement is announced. everyone is happy and celebrating. until someone says the words "wedding planning" and everyone but the happy couple freezes. chimney, hen, bobby, eddie, ravi, etc. their eyes widen as they make eye contact w each other bcos this can only mean one thing: the return of clipboard!buck 2: groomzilla edition. ravi audible gulps. hen casually slides a nearby clipboard into the bin idk. no one says anything but they are clearly v concerned. buck and tommy dont notice lmao

the looming threat of groomzilla buck haunts the rest of the shift. no one is saying anything to buck yet, but they are trying to plan a pre-emptive intervention in between calls and any free moment during calls (all hissing whispers across patients and dramatic expressions and gestures in the truck)

they have the next day off, chimney mentions checking in on tommy, the poor guy. a "hey tommy just checking in on how ur coping. hope bucks not driving u too crazy already" and he gets back an immediate "hes driving me insane" and a "we need everybody to be at our house 1400 sharp please. for the love of god DO NOT be late." and its all, Oh no its begun already. better go save tommy from his fiance lol

theyre entering the bucktommy house like its their execution only to be greeted by a buck whos all, "hey guys! 😄 hows it going 😄" and clearly on his way out, cool as a cucumber, happy as a clam, not a clipboard in sight. when asked (very suspiciously) whats going on, he just replies "😄 oh i gotta go get the right linen squares for the tablecloths 😄 i accidentally got the wrong ones for tommy! 🤪 brb!"

the sound of the door shutting behind buck is deafening. the silence is broken by tommys "ur all late." from the next room (its 1402) (no one points this out) together they make their way further into the house. there is so much dread and confusion. the tension breaks when tommy drops an over flowing folder labelled Wedding Planning on the table. "ur here now. we can get started" he says, "maybe one of u will be more helpful than evan"

"is what i think is happening, actually happening?" hen whispers. scattered around the room are folders brimming w tabs, and cut up magazines, and sticky notes, and— "what is that?" chimney asks. tommy turns towards the mostly full corkboard taking up an entire wall. "oh that? thats my vision board."

eddie: i had no idea that youd been planning this for so long, tommy
