Headcanon: Stan Pines' taste in music mostly leans towards your classic Dad Rock. Ford, on the other hand, tends to think that the problem with most prog rock albums is that they aren't long enough or pretentious enough.

This means that the compromise playlist that gets listened to on the Stan O'War II is mostly Hawkwind, with occasional diversions into Rush. Ford acquired a King Crimson boxset at one stopover, but Stan threatened to throw it overboard if Ford listened to it without headphones. Likewise, Ford once leapt into the sea and started swimming towards the nearest island when Stan insisted on putting Nickelback on.

My #1 post of 2022

So if the modern internet is this slick, gentrified high street, with your Starbucks and your Brewdog and all the other corporate chain places, Tumblr is the bit of waste ground between two shops inhabited by crows, urban foxes, feral cats, day-drinkers, graffiti artists, and weird kids bunking off school to smoke weed. Also @neil-gaiman and @dianeduane stop by to eat their lunches here when it's sunny.

You might get yelled at by an angry drunk or have your joint stolen out of your mouth by a particularly intrepid crow, but most of the time it's fairly chill. Especially when there's some ridiculous drama happening in one of the chain cafés and we're all pointing and laughing and passing round the White Lightning.

Tis that time once again to put down some goals for 2022. Last year was alright and I am pleased that I can be kinder to myself about those goals I didn't’ reach or didn't complete fully. Hopefully we can keep that up this year too!

Make a project with either my pyrography kit or my 3D pen

Personally

put away clothes more often

get better at self promotion

learn anti anxiety techniques that work for me

General

get washing down to reasonable levels

get and keep living room clear

Get to stage where we can get a cat!

Yes the cat is still on there! I will get a cat some point damnit! Like always, we’ll check back at the end of the year to see how well I stuck to my goals. Here’s hoping this year will be easier than the last.
