Pretty sure everyone has their own headcanon of what happens to/in the Commonwealth after the events of the main story but I like to look at little things that add to the world as well as the big ones.

I like to think the Commonwealth starts rebuilding itself, even if some other shit happens. This is small but I like to make it canon that people took over the Boston Public Library, cleaned it up and as more people joined they started fixing books and even putting together pressing machines and began to fill the walls.

Given the location Minutemen patrols are constant and plenty especially because so many people visit the library. All sorts come to it, from children accompanied by teachers or parents/guardians to people looking to learn to read and write, people looking to have some away time from life. I don't think lending books would be that much of a good idea but people can come in and read. With time even writers start popping up and a small section gets dedicated to publishing said works.

Jelani would absolutely love going there and Angelus would get a kick out of having Jelani read to him. While Loke absolutely haaaaaaates reading he looks for anything he can find on robotics since he took a liking to fixing and even putting together automatrons. When he's able to he gets Jelani to read him the manuals and books on the subject.

5. When Uth and Lo first met and got together Lo was tremendously careful around Uth. There was a point in which Uth grabbed a knife near Lo and Lo grabbed him by the wrist. Meet Soren! I took a good amount of time trying to mix Uth and Los looks as best I could taking elements from both. Lokes red hair made darker to account for Uths darker brown hair. Lokes freckles cause cute cute cute! And for the eyes I went with Lokes green with a slight blue tint using the clouding option to once again combine the features. I will say Soren is closer in build to Loke than Uthorims stocky self. I'll definitely tweet some things as time goes on but I couldn't sleep and wanted to make him flesh and bone!
