Usahara Tobikichi in love with f!Reader headcanons (sfw and smutty)
Tumblr media
(look at this official art by gaku kaze, why is he so cute/hot?!)
SFW:
Usahara is (to borrow a trope title) a Casanova Wannabe. He likes getting attention from women and wishes he could pull off the playboy persona; the idea of being irresistible to women is a nice daydream, especially considering he seems to be consistently overlooked in comparison to guys like Kumatani and Uramichi
Despite having dated before, relationships never quite seem to work out, whether it be due to Usahara's partners not wanting to stick around after realizing how tactless and irresponsible he is or Usahara stops putting in the effort to keep the relationship afloat. He’s not intentionally mean or careless, but truly good intentions can only make up so much for his flaws.
With all that in mind, Usahara wants a girlfriend; he would take being devoted to one woman over being admired by dozens any day of the week, even if he’s a touch embarrassed to admit it.
In comes you: Usahara thinks you’re cute and immediately tries to get your attention. He doesn’t have high hopes, but hey, it couldn’t hurt to put himself out there. It doesn't take long before Usahara starts going out of his way to talk to you, firing off jokes and one liners at any given time, basically making a fool of himself for a hint of a smile from you. In a short amount of time this casual attraction develops into not so casual, knee buckling, sweaty palms crush. Usahara's heart will shatter into a million pieces if you decide to reject him.
You’re so cute, patient and sweet, being with you just feels right. Every time Usahara sees you that throbbing ache in his chest only gets worse. You’re probably too good for him, he knows it, everyone around Usahara won't stop reminding him when he looks at you with goo goo eyes and insists today's the day: he's going to take that leap and make a move on you. Usahara feels like he hit the literal jackpot when you agreed to go out with him.
When the two of you begin officially dating, it’s like a light switch clicks in Usahara’s head. Maybe because he’s older and (at least somewhat) wiser, but he’s making genuine efforts this time around to not repeat past mistakes.
When you bring up the issue of his spending habits or taking a joke too far, Usahara will listen and work with you to fix the issue. It’s important to him you know he’s taking this seriously. Usahara wants to have extra money to spoil his girl and the idea of saying something to hurt your feelings gnaws at him. He's determined to be the best boyfriend you've ever had or will have.
He tries so hard for you; Usahara honestly didn’t expect to get so attached. It makes him a bit more reflective, but also paranoid of messing up; he's always been his own worst enemy. For how easy going and chill Usahara comes off as, he's way more insecure than you might guess.
Expect clinging and being spammed with texts at any given moment, maybe a phone call or a silly picture. Now that he has an adorable girlfriend, Usahara jumps at any opportunity to do couple things, go on all the cute dates, call you pet names, buy matching charms for your keys/phones, feed each other, etc. But because he’s so eager and already fairly attached, it can be a bit...much:
“Babyyyy, I had a rough day! 😭 I need cuddles. I’m free after work, can you come over tonight? 😘"
"How's your day going? I wish I could skip work and see you..."
"I miss you xoxo ❤️”
"Babe, did you get my message? Are you busy?”
“Is everything okay?”
“Hey...are you mad at me?😥"
“Sorry, didn’t mean to spam you.”
“So, should I get food omw home? What are you in the mood for?” "
Besides me lol"
"....babe? Did I do something wrong?”
“I’m sorry, did I forget our 3 week anniversary? Month anniversary?”
"I'll make it up to you, I promise!"
“Baby???”
And you will get all of these messages over the course of an hour or so. Yes, Usahara does calm down eventually; granted, he'll still spam you with texts now and then even after he feels more secure in the relationship, but usually only when he's out drinking and he wishes he was with you instead.
Usahara keeps things from exes partially if they’re useful and there is a sentimental aspect to it for him; that being said, if it makes you uncomfortable, Usahara doesn’t hesitate to get rid of anything you don't want him to hold on to. You’re with him now, and besides, Usahara needs room for all the things of yours he plans to keep at his place from now on.
And now, for the spicy stuff (and a little smut):
Eager to please is an understatement.
Seriously though, Usahara struggles to keep his hands to himself, particularly when it’s just you and him. He doesn’t want to come on too strong or too desperate, but he wants you.
He’ll probably try to just go with whatever you’re ready for but if it was up to Usahara, he would never have to use his hand again. Not when he has your soft, warm body to touch and explore.
You’ll definitely need to tell Usahara exactly what you want, because again, he has a hard time going on instinct or reading subtle cues. And honestly, he kind of likes being bossed around in bed.
When you ask him to pleasure you and he gets it right, Usahara gets off on your praise and satisfaction. He’s practically glowing when he first makes you cum and the first time he gets to feel it raw and dripping down his dick makes him almost climax inside you right then and there.
Usahara’s preferred positions are either you riding him while he sits up right and he loses his mind a little when you suck him off. He just can’t get over what you’re doing to him; extra points if you let him cum in your mouth or even just on your face or tits. It’s dirty and you look so beautiful, Usahara can hardly believe you’re real.
Praise kink aside, Usahara also gets off on soft domination, edging (maybe because he’s so impatient), dirty talk, and costumes, Specifically seeing you with thigh highs and a mini skirt or a too big shirt, with or without panties.
Talk about fucking like rabbits. Usahara has a high sex drive and would fuck you every day if he could, but he understands you might not always been in the mood. He’s actually happy to just kiss or cuddle, anything to feel you and be close. His favorite thing to do is strip down to nothing and lay over you, head on your chest and hugging you tight while he listens to your heart beat. He’ll still be horny but it can wait.
“I can’t help it.” Usahara whines, only half teasing as he starts rubbing himself against you, silently begging you to touch him. You have no idea how fast you turn him into a needy mess just by stroking his hair or kissing his neck; he thrives on your attention, he wants to lose himself in you.
When he’s especially pent up, Usahara acts pussy drunk, doubly so if he’s been putting off the orgasm. Once you finally let him fuck you, your arms around his neck and thighs squeezing his hips, Usahara could cry from how good you feel. He can't believe he gets to be with you like this, that you want him as badly as he needs you.
“So good so good so fucking good, I wanna fuck you all night, gonna cum so hard in your pussy baby. Can I go harder? Pleeeease?”
Drool is trailing down the corner of Usahara’s babbling mouth; he practically melts into your body, head resting in the crook of your neck and arms wrapped tight around you while he fucks you, barely pulling out of your gushing pussy with each sloppy thrust.
“I wanna cum, can I cum inside again? Sorry, I need it, need to fuck you. I can’t stop, fuck, fuck, oh fuck!” Usahara gasps, eyes blown wide as you squeeze around him, not even really meaning to; he hugs you tighter, nuzzling your neck, pressing soft kisses to the love bites he made earlier. It's all you can do to not go utterly limp and just allow him to use you like a living doll. Usahara pants, whines and whimpers like puppy as he mindlessly fucks into you, begging for you to hold him closer and spread your thighs wider.
“So pretty, so good to me...I love it, love you," Usahara sobs and clings closer, cock is buried as deep as he can go while he rocks his hips. "Baby, I'm really gonna cum, gonna cum, please, wanna cum, I love you so much, baby, can I cum inside? Please? Just one more time, please, please, please!?”

SFW Romance ABCs | Tobikichi Usahara
Tumblr media
18+ only. Minors and ageless blogs DNI. You will be blocked!
Tobikichi Usahara x GN!Reader
Tumblr media
A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)
You need to tell this man to lay off the PDA. He can come off as clingy or flirty, depending on what he’s saying. Regardless of what he’s saying though, he’s often letting his energy loose by touching you–gently shoving your shoulder, grabbing your hand, even bumping knees and feet when sitting beside each other.
B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)
Usahara’s such a friendly and outgoing guy, that there are endless possibilities of how your friendship could have started. He could have seen you a few times at the store, making conversation about the things you’re buying. You could have been childhood friends. Either way, a huge point of your friendship together involves him going out of his way to befriend you because you caught his interest. He makes life interesting.
As a best friend, Usahara’s just fun. He’s the guy you call when you want a good time. Every time you meet, he always comes with a new story that has you laughing hard. But as fun as he is, he has a tendency to be secretive about his inner workings. He tends to brush off darker feelings and more serious conversations in exchange for more light-hearted talk and activities. A lot of people know him, but few people know him. He considers Uramichi and Kumatani in a separate category above best friends (brothers? lol).
C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)
Usahara uses his height to his advantage, covering your entire body in his. He’s the type of cuddler that’s basically glued to your body, wrapping all his limbs around you. If you think he’s bad in public, he’s even worse at home. He’s by your side 24/7, touching you in some shape or form. Even if you’re not talking or doing different things, he likes to sit beside you.
D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)
He wants to settle down, but with all of his past partners, it was never the right time (usually because of him). As he’s gotten older, he’s slowly learning to be more patient about settling down. He’s trying to focus on enjoying the moment since he has a tendency to get ahead of himself and blindly jump into things without thinking them through.
Look, Usahara is just some guy, okay? That means he can do the basics, but he does them poorly. He’s currently living the ultimate bachelor lifestyle–mostly eating take out and meeting the bare minimum of clean.
E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)
This man is the one getting dumped, not the dumper BUT if he did have to break up with someone, it would be through text. Yeah, he’s the worst. But he really would feel sorry about it!
F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)
He doesn’t have any issues with commitment, but hearing about how he is when he’s single makes any potential partners give him the side eye. Sometimes he’s overcommitted, which others then take as a red flag.
He used to fall in love quickly and has probably inappropriately brought up the marriage conversation too early in a relationship. He believes that when you find The One, it’s best to get married immediately. (Unfortunately, he always thinks he’s found The One.)
G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)
He’s quite gentle physically even though he enjoys messing with you. Emotionally though? He unintentionally says insensitive and rude things quite often. It’ll take you a while to slowly understand that he doesn’t really mean it. The guy just seriously lacks a filter.
H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)
He’s that guy that you see in line that’s constantly hugging his partner from behind. (Usually his partner is buying him something too.) His hugs are plentiful and warm, but be careful of taking them for granted.
I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)
He’s the type to use the “love at first sight” pick up line. He really does believe in it though!
J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)
He has (surface level) friendships with different kinds of people, so he has a surprising awareness of others’ intentions (usually). He wouldn’t get jealous unless he saw something happen in front of him that made him uncomfortable.
Usahara would be really hurt and upset if he found out that you were blowing him off for someone else though. He’d act extra clingy and bratty if you did this, which might push you away more.
K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)
Wet, sloppy, and desperate. This man is starved.
He loves kissing your chest, and well, you know where he likes to get kissed… O:) His neck is ticklish so he loves/hates being kissed there.
L = Little ones (How are they around children?)
He’s surprisingly good with children, but that’s often because they use him as a verbal punching bag. He’s okay with being the fun big brother or cool uncle for the rest of his life. He has enough self-awareness to know that he shouldn’t be responsible for life other than his own.
M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)
They’re spent sleeping in. Even if you had plans, sorry, no, you’re sleeping in. It’s basically a one-sided war trying to get out of Usahara's grip if you sleep together. He really enjoys making American-style breakfasts (pancakes, eggs, sausage) whenever he wakes up.
N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)
You’re up late, whether you’re out at the club, the bar, playing video games or watching movies. Usahara thrives at nighttime and he’ll always find something fun to do. It’s hard to keep up with his energy.
O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)
He overshares. You know his every thought after hanging out with him three times.
P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)
Usahara is surprisingly patient for how energetic he is. He really sees the good in people and always gives others the benefit of the doubt. (This usually leads to him getting hurt or used by others, something that Kumatani and Uramichi have lectured him about multiple times.)
Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)
Look, Usahara is truly hare-brained and forgetful, okay? What matters is that he knows the most important things about you for the most part. He’s the type of person to remember things that you hate instead of like though.
R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)
When you two made up after your first fight. For him, the first fight in the relationship is usually make or break (typically break). But when you called him a day later, asking to make up and move forward together, he was so happy he started crying. He likes knowing that you believe that your relationship is worth fighting for.
S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)
He’s pretty protective, always making sure that you’re getting home safely and walking on the street-side of the road. He uses his height to protect you on a crowded train. He doesn’t care if all the old people give him dirty looks, he likes to drape himself over you in public so people know that you’re taken and won’t bother you.
“Protect me? From who, Uramichi and Kumatani?” *gets shit thrown at him immediately* Usahara can only fathom protection in the physical sense (and condoms lol). It makes his heart flutter when you try to counter people’s shit talking by talking about some of his good traits.
T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)
As stated previously, he has a bad memory. But he really does make up for it with how creative he can be when he’s low on cash. When he wins big at pachinko, he likes to spoil his partner, though it usually leads to fights about his gambling habits.
U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)
Pachinko.
He tends to put his foot in his mouth.
He forgets what he says when he drinks too much.
V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)
He thinks he’s a decent looking dude, and between him and the rest of the Together guys, he keeps up with trends the most. He used to be more high maintenance about wearing trendy clothes and  his hair, but he’s gotten more laid back. Really, he’s just too lazy to keep up with the blond maintenance and he ran out of closet space. He’s a sneakerhead.
W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)
Duh!
X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.)
After college, he tried dying his hair back to its natural color, but Kumatani and Uramichi said it didn’t suit him and makes him look gloomy (and dumb). His color season is light spring.
Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?)
Smoking.
People who are overly critical and negative aside from Uramichi and Kumatani.
Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habits of theirs?)
He sleeps in his boxers only and tends to fall asleep with the TV on.

Tobikichi Usahara ✭ Lost Time
Tumblr media
tori’s Note: Why are all of the men in this show so 🦆ing attractive? Uramichi and Kumatani coming soon 🤭
Summary: You broke up with him 4 years ago. Surely, he’s moved on by now, even if you haven’t. But what if he’s still stuck on you just as much as you are on him?
WC: 4.6k
Genre: exes to lovers, fluff
warnings: n/a, barely proofread, random OC
Tumblr media
"Oh, Y/n! The girls and I are going bar hopping tomorrow, you should totally go with us!" Your friend Yumi says, lifting a stack of glass plates from a box and placing them on the kitchen counter.
You've just graduated from college, finally returning to Tokyo after 4 long years. Most people would have returned home during breaks, but you, however, had decided to remain in Sendai to work in between semesters. Most people also would have gone to college at 18. But you didn't go until you were 22, having been inspired by your ex-boyfriend's job as an actor to start pursuing videography.
So now here you are, freshly graduated, moving into a new apartment, and very happy to be home. You look over at Yumi as you carry another box into the kitchen, grunting harshly as you hoist it onto the table.
"Bar hopping?" You repeat. You reach for one of the many knives laying around and tear it through the tape on the box, carefully pulling out the pots and pans laying inside. "It may be 4 years since we've been together, but I'm sure you remember I'm not a big fan of bar hopping," you laugh lightly.
"Ahh, yeah, I do remember," Yumi giggles in return, moving the stack of plates into their designated cabinet. "But I do think it would be fun! You said you didn't have much time to go out when you were at school, well, now you have plenty of time!" She turns back to you with a bright smile. "And you never know, maybe you'll meet a cute guy while we're out," she smirks. You roll your eyes at this.
Ever since you broke things off with your ex 4 years ago, Yumi has asked relentlessly about your love life. And while there was never really anything to report, she always seemed happy to hear that you were still single.
"Please, I don't think I'll ever find love again," you sigh overdramatically, pressing the back of your hand to your forehead to nail your performance. As soon as the words leave your mouth, you pause, closing your eyes and bracing yourself for the next words to come from Yumi.
"...you're still not really over Usahara, are you?" Aaand there it is, question number 2 on the FAQ list. Yumi doesn't ask it nearly as much as the first, but she still asks often enough that you can basically tell when it's coming. And you're also tired of hearing it. Not because she keeps asking, you know she just wants to check in on you, see how you're feeling. But because your answer is always the same. 4 years of no contact, and your ex is still on your mind almost constantly.
You can only blame yourself really. You're the one who broke up with him when everything was perfect, when he wanted to stay together, when he was confident that your relationship could survive the distance once you left for school. But you weren't. You knew long distance would strain your relationship too much. It was inevitable. You were just saving yourselves the extra pain. At least, that's what you thought.
4 years and you've only had one boyfriend, and he only lasted for about 3 months. The time in between was full of failed first dates, ghostings, and creeps who were just looking to get laid. Not once did you meet someone who made your heart stop and your stomach flutter the way Usahara did. And you're beginning to wonder if you'll ever experience that feeling again. You groan and go back to unpacking your kitchen supplies.
"I think you know the answer to that, and I would rather not talk about it," you mutter. You turn to put the pots in a cabinet, missing the all-knowing smirk on your friend's face.
"Okay, we can drop the subject. But still, you should come with us! Besides, I want to buy you your first drink back in Tokyo!"
Well, can't argue with that, can you? You stop to think for a moment. Sure, you hate bar hopping, but it would probably do you some good to get out and socialize. And Yumi's right, you never know who you might meet. Maybe Tokyo guys are better than Sendai guys. Won't know unless you try, right?
"Haha. Okay, Yumi, I'll go," you say, reflecting your friend's happy grin.
"Yes!" Yumi exclaims, swaying her hips in a little happy dance.
"BUT!" You interject, cutting Yumi's celebration short. "We're not going out super late."
"No problem!"
"And when I'm exhausted and ready to go, we go?"
"Absolutely!" You would think you'd just told her that you won a million dollars and are giving her half based on the blinding smile on her face. Why is she so excited to go drinking? Should you be worried? You brush it off, chalking it up to your high school bestie just being happy to spend time with you after being apart for so long. You just hope you have enough energy tomorrow to be "Fun Y/n" and not "Tired and Cranky Y/n".
"Alright! Let's at least get your kitchen finished before we call it a night!" Yumi says, moving on to another box. You hum in agreement and follow suit.
Tumblr media
"Ready to go?" Yumi calls. You walk into the bathroom to see her putting on her earrings, the finishing touch to her evening outfit.
"Whenever you are," you chirp. You tug lightly at the hem of the little black dress you're wearing. "Is it really okay that I wear this?" Yumi turns away from the mirror to look at you, her jaw dropping.
"Y/n you look gorgeous! That dress fits you a lot better than it does me. Any man should feel lucky to have you even spare them a glance!"
"Is your plan for us to hang out or to find me a boyfriend?" You laugh
"Why not both?" Yumi jokes back. "Seriously though, you should keep that dress. I never wear it anyway." You look at yourself in the mirror and damn, this dress does look nice on you. You mentally agree with Yumi's statement, any man should feel lucky. "The others said they would meet us at the bar, so we can head on over!"
With a new sense of self-confidence, you and Yumi leave your apartment to head to the first bar just a short walk away.
You get there and say hello to the group of girls, some of which you haven't seen since high school. The girls all order a shot or two, trying to get a little buzzed while you're at the cheapest place on the route. You order a drink that's a little lighter on the alcohol, not wanting to risk getting too drunk this early on. Once you're done there, it's on to the next place, and so on.
By the time your little group starts to leave the third bar, some of the girls are already starting to feel the effects of the shots they've taken. Yumi glances at the time on her phone and raises her voice to get everyone's attention.
"Hey, we should go to that little lounge on the next street over!" She suggests excitedly. Before you can agree, some of the other girls speak up.
"The lounge? I thought you didn't like that place?"
"Yeah, you always say it's kinda sketchy."
You turn to Yumi to see how she explains her sudden change of heart, only to see her fiddling with her fingers, something she does when she’s nervous. Or when she's planning something.
"Ahh, yeah I know but... but they have a really good happy hour deal at this time!" The girls tilt their heads in question but agree to go nonetheless. You make your way to the next street and see your destination ahead of you and, yeah, it does look a bit sketchy. But, no one says anything as you enter the little hangout.
"Let's sit over here!" Yumi says, darting ahead toward the end of the bar table. You all look at each other, mutually confused by Yumi's sudden enthusiasm and determination to, not only visit this specific bar, but also sit in a specific spot. But you swallow your questions and follow. The first thing you notice is how dark it is, and you don't believe it's purposeful mood lighting either. The second thing is the lack of people. Granted, it's a small bar, but even so, the seating isn't half full. Why are you here again?
You sit beside Yumi who has an unusually bright smile, even for her. You all order your drinks and take your time with them, catching up with each other in quiet chit-chat. You're there for a short time before a couple of guys enter the lounge, walking past the bar to sit at a table already occupied by a couple others.
"Heyyy, sorry we're late, we totally lost track of time," a man speaks from the table. His voice sounds familiar, almost comforting, but you’re too preoccupied with watching Yumi take a shot to really think about it.
"I think you mean you lost track of time," a second, more monotone voice speaks.
"Dude, seriously?!" Okay, you know you know that voice. You lean forward against the bar to take a quick glance past Yumi to the table several feet away from you. You quickly scan over the people, trying to be as casual as possible. You see two dark-haired men sitting beside each other, talking quietly with very neutral expressions, making you question whether they want to be there or not. You feel like you recognize the black-haired man, though you can’t place where you’ve seen him.
To their left is a very drunk woman, tears streaming down her flushed face. Beside her is another man with his face turned away from you, his blond hair, that's obviously dyed and desperately needs a retouch, is swept to the side and clipped with a... strawberry barrette?
Your quick and casual glance becomes a stare as you squint in an attempt to see the hair accessory better. You used to have a hair clip just like that one. You wore it all the time and were quite upset when you lost it. Before it can click in your mind, the man turns just enough for you to see his face and...
No, it's not. There's no way. You feel your heart flutter in a way it hasn't in years, but you still refuse to believe what you're seeing. Yumi notices your shocked expression and follows your line of sight, her eyes widening slightly when they land on the table.
"Yooo, is that who I think it is?"
"I'm... I'm pretty sure it is," you say, dazed. It's Usahara, sitting at the table beside you, wearing the hair barrette you lost at his place years ago.
"You should go say hi!" Yumi encourages, patting you on the arm excitedly. You almost get up from your seat right then, but the little shred of hope in your heart disappears when the crying woman suddenly crashes against Usahara's chest and his arms wrap around her. Yumi, whose eyes are trained on you, completely misses what's happening. "You never know, maybe you can pick up where you left off."
You quickly turn your eyes back to your drink, sinking into your seat.
"I doubt that. It was so long ago, I'm sure he's had several girlfriends since then. Look, he's with someone now," you state bluntly. Yumi turns back to see who you're talking about. The woman is now sitting up again, her face buried in her hands, shoulders shaking. She looks to Usahara who is sitting awkwardly, clearly unsure of how to handle the situation.
"Uhh, something tells me it's not like that," Yumi says. She turns back to you and places a gentle hand on your arm. "Come on, Y/n, just say hi. If he's not happy to see you, then we'll hit the next bar and get so drunk you'll forget you even saw him." Yumi grins and you realize it's the same suspicious smile she's had since she mentioned bar hopping the night before. Hold on a second.
"Why do I get the feeling you knew he'd be here?" You say, knowing it sounds like a serious accusation. But the moment the words leave your mouth, Yumi freezes. Gotcha.
"Whaaat? Nooo we're here for the happy hour! Remember?" She waves her hands around as though to distract you as she does her best to defend herself. You give her a "be honest" glare and she cracks within a second. "Okay, yeah, I see him and his friends here a lot, the chances were pretty high," she mutters.
"And that's why you wanted to come here so badly, isn't it?" You question further. Yumi stares into her drink and starts fiddling with her fingers again.
"Umm, that... might've been part of why. But that's beside the point!" She exclaims, looking back up at you. "We're here, he's here, and you should say something!" You remain quiet, unsure if you really should say anything or just try to leave without being seen. And Yumi seems to be able to tell exactly what you're thinking. "If you don't I will."
Uh oh. If there's one thing you've learned about Yumi in your years of being friends, it's that she's not afraid to embarrass herself. If she says she'll do something, chances are, she will. Before you can even respond, Yumi is taking a breath and turning in her chair, ready to shout to the table.
"HE-" she starts, and you swear your heart stops. You grab her arms and pull her back around to you, stopping her call before it gets very loud.
You hide behind her, mortified that she may have accomplished her goal and drawn some attention. You peek over her shoulder thankful to see that Usahara is too busy drinking his beer to have noticed anything. But before you can sigh in relief, your eyes meet those of the man on the other side of the table, and by the look in his steely grey eyes, it's safe to say Yumi had caught his attention. He breaks eye contact, turns back to his friends, and doesn't say a word.
"Okay, okay," you whisper, letting go of Yumi's arms "Just, please don't yell." Yumi giggles happily, satisfied that her plan is working. You take a deep breath and finish your drink quickly before getting up from your seat and adjusting your dress. Your heart is pounding in your chest, but you realize, it's not entirely of anxiety, but excitement. Yumi takes your hand and gives it an encouraging squeeze.
"I'll be right here, ready to support or fly out of here at the slightest notice." You squeeze her hand back and smile. You let go and make your way over to the table. The first person to notice you approaching is the same man you'd made eye contact with just moments before, though he remains quiet. Usahara is distracted with cleaning up a bit of beer that had been knocked over, still completely unaware of your presence. By this point, you've caught everyone's attention, everyone aside from Usahara.
"Tobikichi?" You say, your voice just barely above a whisper. Usahara stops his cleaning, but it takes him a second before he turns to you. His eyes meet yours and, there they are, the special butterflies that you've dreamed of having again since you saw him last.
"No way... Y/n?" Usahara says, not believing his eyes. His look of shock flips into one of joy as he jumps from his seat and, without a second thought, he's wrapping his arms around you in a tight hug. You hug him back, taking the moment to breathe in his familiar and comforting scent. Yep, he still wears the same cheap cologne. You never knew you could miss a smell so much until you'd said goodbye. He slowly pulls away from you, cool grey eyes scanning over you.
"You look beautiful..." He blurts, causing you both to blush. Before you can accept his compliment, he's moving on. "Haha, ahh, what are you doing here?"
“I’m back from school,” you answer softly. Usahara’s smile grows impossibly wider.
“Like, back for good?”
“Yeah, for good,” you nod in confirmation. Usahara perks, suddenly remembering who he’s with. He moves to stand beside you and places his on your shoulder, sending sparks down your back.
“Oh, by the way!” He starts, lifting his hand to gesture to his table of friends. “You’ve met Kumatani before, right?” Ahh, that’s why he seemed familiar.
“We met once,” Kumatani replies stoically. And now you remember. You’d only met him once, but Usahara would talk about him a lot. He was down to earth and wasn’t afraid to put Usahara in his place when needed. You appreciated it.
“Thought so!” Usahara says, moving on to the other two people. “This is Uramichi and Utano. They’re my co-workers.” You feel relief when you hear “co-workers”. Yumi was right, it isn’t like that. “Too bad Iketeru isn’t here. He’s not a big drinker, so he backed out for tonight.”
“So, how do you guys know each other?” Uramichi asks, suspicious that his annoying co-worker could be friends with someone like you. You and Usahara freeze, neither of you wanting to answer.
“They dated several years ago,” Kumatani answers for you without hesitation. Utano sits straight up, tears still streaming down her face, but at least she’s no longer sobbing.
“Oh, are you the ex he’s always talking about?” She sniffs. You look at her, confused.
“What?” You ask, hoping to get her to elaborate, and Kumatani starts to do just that.
“He talks about you a lot when he’s dru-”
“OKAY!” Usahara shouts, stepping a bit in front of you and cutting Kumatani off before he can expose him any further. “I don’t think we need to talk about any of that.” Actually, yes, I think we do. “Anyway, uhh, are you here by yourself?”
“Hmm? Oh, no, I’m here with-” your sentence is stopped midway through when an arm is slung over your shoulders.
“Me!” Yumi says, leaning over you.
“Oh, Yumi! Long time no see, huh?” Usahara greets.
“Yeaaah, real long time!” Yumi smiles. “Y/n, the girls and I are thinking about getting one more round and then heading out,” she says, pointing back to the bar. You’re about to say that you’ll be right over when Usahara starts to speak.
“Hey, let me buy you a drink!” He offers happily, making Yumi smile.
“Oh, that’s not necessary!” You say.
“Please? As a welcome home,” He says, already pulling out his wallet and heading back to the bar.
“Come on, don’t say no to a free drink!” Yumi pulls you by your arm to follow, and you do, albeit hesitantly. Once you’re at the bar, Yumi returns to the group, leaving you and Usahara there alone.
“Get what you want,” Usahara says after taking a quick flip through his wallet.
“You have the money to make that kind of offer?” You tease.
“WHA-hey! I’ll have you know I’ve gotten better at handling money… kind of.”
“Mhmm?”
“Whatever, I wouldn’t offer if I wasn’t sure.” His face grows red and you laugh at his response. Your eyes catch sight of the little pink and red accessory in his hair again, contrasting sharply against his bleach blond hair.
“By the way, is that my strawberry barrette you’re wearing?” His face couldn’t possibly get any more flushed. His hand flies up to the clip and removes it.
“It… might be,” he mumbles. His hands play around with it, bending the clip back and forth.
“I can’t believe you still have it after all this time,” you whisper. Usahara smiles fondly.
“Well, it is pretty handy,” he jokes. His fidgeting stops and he places the barrette onto the table, sliding it towards you. “Here, you can have it back.” You pick up the hair clip and examine it closely. It looks almost exactly the same as the day you last saw it, aside from some chipped plastic coating on the sides. He’s taken very good care of it. You run your thumb over the bumpy, textured strawberry.
“You keep it,” you say softly. You reach for his hair and gently sweep it behind his ear, clipping it in place with the barrette. “It looks better on you anyway.” Jeez, are you purposefully trying to fluster him? Usahara laughs nervously and rubs his clammy hands on his pants. If his heart beats any faster, he’s convinced it’ll burst right out from his chest.
You order your drinks and sit in awkward silence as you try to figure out what to talk about. You have so much, 4 years' worth. Where do you start?
“So… have you dated anyone since we broke up?” Well, guess that’s one place to start.
“Umm… not really. There was this one guy who lasted a few months, but he turned out to be a total creep,” you answer honestly, your voice faltering a bit.
“Ahh, gotcha,” he says awkwardly. You drag a finger over your glass, watching as the condensation collects and runs down the cool surface.
“What about you? I’m sure you’ve had a girl or two over the last few years, Mr. Mascot,” you laugh lightly, trying to relieve the strange and uncomfortable pressure.
“Haha, I, uh, haven’t had any, actually…”
…Oh
“Hey, Y/n,” Yumi calls. You turn to see her and the others gathering their purses and standing from their seats, some struggling a little more than others. “We’re heading to the next bar. You coming?” Before you can even think of what to answer with, Yumi is shooting you a look that screams “don’t you dare say ‘yes’”. You smile, this was for sure her plan the entire time.
“I think I’ll stay here for a bit longer.” Yumi beams at your reply and walks over to hug you.
“Okay! I’ll see you tomorrow then. Still on for dinner?”
“Yeah of course!”
“Great!” Yumi moves her gaze from you to the man beside you giving him a sweet but serious glare. “Usahara, take care of my girl, ‘kay? Don’t let anything happen to her.”
“Wouldn’t dream of it,” Usahara says nervously. Yumi gives you both another wide smile before walking out the door to catch up with the others. “She’s still as intimidating as I remember,” he says, making you laugh.
You turn back around and catch Usahara already looking at you, an unreadable grin on his face. As soon as you make eye contact, his smile drops and his head whips in a different direction. Subtle. You two resume conversation, catching up on everything you’ve missed out on each other. Usahara’s friends eventually leave as well, leaving just the two of you. You talk about everything, how your schooling went and how much you hate-loved it, how he’s still working as a bunny mascot on a children’s show but he’s generally happy with where he is. Once the initial awkwardness is gone, you speak like no time has passed. It’s as though you had just seen each other yesterday, rather than 4 years ago.
Usahara’s phone buzzes, prompting him to pick it up. His eyes widen when he sees the time. 3 hours have passed, and neither of you can believe it.
“We should probably get going,” he says reluctantly, and you agree. You both stand from the bar and head towards the door where Usahara rushes ahead of you to open it for you. “Let me walk you home!” His proposal catches you off guard.
“You don’t have to do that, I don’t live far,” you say, not wanting him to feel obligated to.
“It’s okay, I want to,” he says confidently. He wants to. You half expected to walk out this door, say your goodbyes, and then be hit with the reality that he didn’t want to see you again. But instead, he’s offering to walk you home because he wants to. You don’t trust your voice to come out clearly, so you just nod and start walking toward your apartment.
The short walk there is silent, but this time, an easy, relaxed silence. You climb the stairs to your doorstep and pull out your keys to unlock your door before you turn back to the man. The atmosphere that was comfortable just a moment ago, is now tense and awkward.
“Thank you for walking me… it was really good to see you, Tobikichi,” you say softly.
“Of course, it was good to see you too,” he says, rubbing the back of his neck and shifting his weight from side to side. “I’m glad to see you’re doing well.” You continue to stand there; neither of you wants to say goodbye. Then, almost subconsciously, you’re stepping forward and wrapping your arms around his torso, burying your face into the crook of his neck. You feel his muscles tense in surprise before he relaxes and returns your embrace, an arm snaking around your waist and a hand gently holding the back of your head, pressing you closer against him. You have no idea how long you stood there, entangled in each other’s arms and soaking in each other’s warmth. You grasp him as though you’re afraid he’ll disappear.
Usahara finally pulls away from you slowly, but he stops when your eyes meet his. A beat passes before-
“Can I kiss you?” He blurts. What? You don’t answer, your mind still trying to process to be sure you heard him right. Thinking he’s made a mistake, Usahara’s grip starts to loosen, his arm slipping from your side. But before he can let go, you grab onto his shirt, pulling him back against you.
“Please,” you practically whimper. Usually, you would cringe at your behavior. Begging a man to kiss you? Come on. But right now, you can’t find it in you to care about how desperate you may look. You just want his lips on yours, and it’s the only thing you can attempt to be concerned about. His face gets hot, turning almost as pink as the barrette still in his hair, and you can’t help but think it’s a good color on him.
His hands return to your waist, holding you firmly as he leans his face closer to yours. A sharp chill runs down your spine when his lips ghost over yours and you find yourself suppressing a whine that threatens to escape your throat. Usahara smiles mischievously, proud of the reaction he’s so easily able to draw from you. But, as much as he enjoys teasing you, he can’t wait any longer.
His hand runs from your waist, up your side, and to your neck, cradling your face gently. And then, finally, he places a tender kiss against your lips. It’s delicate, familiar, the feeling of his lips moving lightly against yours, like he’s afraid he may break you. Your fists ball in his shirt, tugging him further down in a silent plea, and you feel his lips curve in a smile against yours.
He takes a careful step forward, pushing your back against the door. The kiss quickly moves from sweet and chaste, to needy and passionate. Your hands move from his shirt around his neck, fingers running through his silky hair, pulling a soft, muffled grunt from his lungs.
Your lips part and he gives just enough space for you to see his face and the sight turns your already swirling insides into a storm. Wow, did you miss that look he’s giving you, blushing, flustered and messy. You’re sure you look the same. He leans closer again, pressing his heated forehead against yours.
“I’ve… missed you, so much,” he pants. “You have no idea how happy I was to see you.” He kisses you again, his lips moving feverishly.
“I missed you too. So much, you have no idea. I’m so sorry,” you mutter in between each heated kiss. Usahara breaks the kiss to pull you against him again, his arms embracing you and a deep, contented sigh rushing against your ear. Your hands drag down to his chest and you feel his heart beat frantically against your palms. You stay there for a moment until you remember that you’re standing on your doorstep. He moves to kiss you again, but you stop him before he can.
“Want to come inside?” You whisper against his lips, and he smirks.
“I’d like that. We should start making up for lost time.”

when you feel down
Tumblr media
uramichi, iketeru, usahara, mitsuo, kikaku
gender neutral reader
Tumblr media
uramichi omota
"being sad most of the time is a fact of life and no matter how fast you try to run away from it, it will eventually catch up to you," uramichi mumbles darkly.
you sigh, knowing his tendencies well enough, and sit down. you feel pathetic inside and you wish he would have done something, anything to cheer you up.
"however," he wraps his arms around you with the same grim expression, "i will run with you and have your back when the race starts."
his skin feels warm against you and even though he doesn't look at you, you feel like you can share your feelings with him and he will listen.
kikaku hanbee
he calls you back during his break.
"hi? why did you call when i was at work?"
he knows something is wrong the moment he hears your voice.
"well?" he says stiffly because he is at a loss, "what's the matter? what got you so down? i have 15 minutes to listen to you right now. you can tell me the rest tonight when i come back."
he may sound dismissive but he is concerned about you in his own way. why else will he spend his break talking to you rather than agonising over his incompetent coworkers?
iketeru daga
"what happened? you sound like you were denied onigiri," he says and takes a seat next to you.
"i don't feel too good..." you whisper in a broken voice and hide your face in his shoulder.
"why didn't you say something? i have snacks. special flavored onigiri. if you want, we can also go out for some food today. you can talk to me while we eat."
food makes situations better. don't they? he will listen to you even if he is not smart enough to understand you completely. ms sayuri gets comfortable near you to provide her warmth.
tobikichi usahara
what? his cute partner is down? usahara gets into his protective boyfriend mode. he is clueless and panics a little. did he do something wrong? are you upset with him?
what do you want? cuddling? food? a shoulder to rely on? a ear to listen to you? well he is not the best when it comes to advice but he can try that too.
he feels a little guilty about the happiness that consumes him. you chose to come to him when you were down. that makes him feel useful and special. he won't let you down.
mitsuo kumatani
"huh? did something happen?" he asks the moment he sees your face.
you can look the way you look every day and he will know. he is very conscious of the little changes in you.
"if you want to talk, i am here to listen. if you wanna hang out casually, we can do that too. i have brought some good movies for us to watch. if you want to rest, we can cuddle or i can leave you alone."
in truth, he is really worried about you and would love to stay by your side till you feel better.
if you ask him to stay, he feels happy but it's impossible to guess it from his nonchalant expression.

heavyweight x lightweight
Tumblr media
kumatani and uramichi are (clearly) confirmed heavyweights, whats it like when their partner is a major lightweight ?
and as for our obviously lightweight utano and usahara, what about them when their partner is the exact opposite ?
Full Durable for Uramichi cause im biased, hcs for the others, fem implied but gn
Uramichi -
One of his first impressions of you was how easily drunk you were.
You were a new hire, and the opportunity to get drinks hadn't come up yet. However, at the mandatory company get together Derekida lowkey threatened upon his workers to arrive at, he could already tell.
You were really pretty, anyone with eyes knew that. Uramichi thought hed be stupid not to know you were beautiful. But a thought hed never had before appeared in his mind as he looked down at you. You were stumbling around, cheeks flushed and turned up in a wide, pure smile, he honestly thought you were cute.
It made sense now, of course you were cute. But you had this almost mysterious personality, maybe it was a mix of you being a new face and Uramichi's anxiety, but seeing you in this light made the possibility of getting to know you brighter.
Uramichi, partly confused by his own feelings, was surprised when he looked forward to and started suggesting after work drinks.
Multiple, probably a lethal amount in total, of drinks were downed by urahara, utano, and none other than you.
He was so ready to observe your carefree actions. Work was stressful, it was calculated. You're there to do one job, do it right, and if you can manage to do it quick it may be just a little easier. You don't have the time to truly be as much of yourself as you can outside.
But instead, he felt Usaharas grating, irritating, agonizing voice right in his ear. He could smell the beer from his breath as he said so casually, with a sloppily slung arm across his shoulders,
"So, Uramichi ~ You've been the adamant one for post work drinks since (you) has come around. Whats with thaat ? Huh Uramichi ?"
He tried to tell him off, but he kept sluring,
"Huh ? Huh ? Huuuuh ?"
With a solid punch to his right cheek, Uramichi focused his attention away from the man childs whines and cries and back to you.
Your eyes were clearly set on the situation, noticing uramichi look back, you accidentally caught his eyes for a brief moment while trying to avoid being caught staring in on the conversation. You quickly looked away and brought another beer down.
You felt yourself get warmer, the atmosphere and sounds buzz in your head while your eyes dragged over to Utano.
She was once again complaining about her boyfriend, how every sunday, on her one off day, shed go support his shows, and even so he wouldnt man up and put a ring on her finger. It was a rough listen. Genuinely your idea of hell, failed comedian boyfriend of five years is ROUGH.
It just got worse when she suddenly turnt to you, full throttle on interrogating you.
"What about you ?!" She slurred, however, to you, slurred was basically normal for the pace the world seemed to be at. Everything was so dizzy, and you felt so hot under winter's sharp bite.
"Um.. no.. I dont have a boyfriend or anything." Usually you were more confident, but the spark under your skin and glimpse of Uramichi watching you made you freeze.
"Whaaat ? Seriously ? You've gotta be atleast talking to someone or interested, a person like you isnt just alone !"
Before you could defend yourself, Uramichi loudly coughed. His eyes went dark, a telltale way that even you already knew meant he was about to go on a depressive dialogue.
"Noww, just because someone isnt devoted to their love life doesnt make them hopeless !" His eyes narrowed, like a snake ready to suffocate it's prey. "Some of us just dont have the time or havent thought that much about it, Utano."
She sighed, forgetting how much of a loser Uramichi could actually be. "Fineee, whatever, all im saying is they're too fine for no one to be interested in them."
Uramichi just grinned while trying not to burst a blood vessel. "Yea Uramichi~" Usahara seemed to have regained consciousness. "Better be quick or she'll be snat-" And there was about another twenty minutes of no Usao-Kun.
You just smiled, and let your head fall against Utanos shoulder. "Mmmm so tired." She looked down at you genuinely ready to help,
"Ready to go home ?"
Your eyes slowly traveled across Uramichi. He looked great in casual clothing, his well trained body undeniably catching the attention of more people than you. Usano wasn't wrong, but you decided that night everyone was underestimating Uramichi Omota.
"No." Your eyes bore straight into Uramichi's, even though you were talking to Utano. "What about you, Uramichi ? Are you dating anyone ?"
Apparently just the words "Uramichi" and "Dating" together worked as a sleeper agent on Usahara, his blonde dyed hair immediately bouncing up and tilting back to make room for his large and loud laugh.
He wheezed, whimpered, choked and coughed before getting the memo that he was the only one laughing. "..ah."
But before Uramichi had the chance to properly concuss the man, you smiled back at him. "Don't worry. It doesn't make you hopeless." Your words were slurred, your eyesight sloppy, cheeks flushed and hair messy. But he swore, you looked like an angel, and he could hear the pure and genuine intent behind your words.
Oh.
He couldn't wait to see you when you weren't wasted. But he definitely wouldn't mind seeing you like this again either.
Kumatani -
He likes drinking but rarely ever gets drunk, or doesnt show it if he is.
You on the other hand, LOVE drinking, and always get drunk.
Hes usually good with others alcohol, I mean, the way he acts with Iketeru is just adorable.
Issue is.. you're much more aware than Iketeru, and actively are seeking alcohol.
And being friends long enough, he eventually learned the easiest control with you was damage control.
Routinely, he ordered your usual for you, (saw a bartender flirt with you once and it lowk traumatized him) and stayed with you throughout the night to make sure you didnt buss it down at the company party.
but everytime, you'd drink a bit too much, and cling to him tighter, or ask him to stay with you longer. his heart dropped everytime, his restraint getting thinner everytime you held him and looked up at him like he wasnt just your best friend.
so everytime, hed drink down shot after shot, even though it might as well have just disappeared after it went down his throat. But still, if he looked at you for too long, he felt a strange intoxication rise from his chest to his ears. so, for now, looking at the bottom of the shot glass would be okay.
Usahara -
If you took a shot for everytime he said "i wish i was funny" while drunk, youd still probably wouldnt be drink.
But, he would have already draken another two beers, and would be just all the more fucked up.
Really hes his own worst enemy. Drunkenly confessed to you in college, didnt remember in the morning. Now years later at Together with Maman, he still asks you out every drinking night after a few beers.
Kumatani and Uramichi think hes not as drunk as he acts when he asks you but whos to say.
Way too clingy. Fell asleep on your thighs at Kumatanis and got kicked out. Broke boyfriend hug in public bars 💔
Utano -
I mean, after she complains about her boyfriend so much.. of course you wonder if you could do better
Honestly, the question wasnt if you could, it was if she would let you. The bar is in hell, literally just dont be unfunny and broke. Buy that girl a ring !!
It started when she once clung to your arm and cried, "You would be a better partner !! I should just marry you instead !!"
Everyone kinda just blinked. No one on the show was emotionally stable but this is something new for sure.
You hummed, praying there wasnt any blush on your face. She was just drunk and.. probably didnt mean it. But still.. its a cute thought. You rubbed her back lightly, soothing her from her mood swing. "Sure."
Bonus : Iketeru -
Iketeru never drinks. Why ? 🍙
I mean, as long as you arent a crazy violent drunk then whats wrong with being drunk ? ^_^.. all the time
But honestly, doesnt really mind if you have heavy drinking habits. As long as he doesnt have to, why would he care ? Half of the time hes 🍙 anyway
Besides, he does think you do look quite cute when your cheeks are flushed and your lips are pouty and damp. Win-Win, right ?

Usahara Tobikichi x Reader (oneshot)
A Gambler’s Way of Saying Sorry
You’re pissed, not just “oh I’m upset because I couldn’t buy the new hair exilar for my damaged hair”. You’re beyond pissed, you’re furious. You’re standing over Usahara, who is on his knees and shamelessly staring at the ground, with your arms crossed and foot tapping rapidly the floor.
“How many times have I told you to stop going to the pachinko huh? God damit usao, how are we going to pay this month’s rent?”
“Babe, I’m sorry I forgot-“
“You forgot?! We’ve been living together for 5 months and you FORGOT?”
“I-I listen I didn’t go to a pachinko this time!” The discolored blonde haired man raises his hands in surrender.
“Mahjong then?!”
“No!!”
“Then what did you spend it on? Go on, TELL ME.”
Usahara is more scared at what you might say before he even gives you his “explanation”. He’s extremely nervous that he’s breaking into a cold sweat. He’s more scared of you then the stinkbugs that pop up in the bathroom, “Umm...”
“Well?”
The man reached into his pockets and pulls out a blue velvet box, “It was suppose to be a surprise, but guess that’s no longer a secret,” Your arms fall the side and stare at him blankly, “I guess I was so preoccupied for what to get you since our one year anniversary is coming up, I completely forgot about this months rent,” his shoulders slumped as he sighs, “I paid for a trip somewhere when we both don’t work too. I saved up for that.”
“...Usa-“
“But I guess this is where I get dumped huh? I’m not surprised if you breakup with me, I mean I don’t know what you see in me. I’ve heard that I’m a good for nothing. I save my life savings in a piggy bank thinking I’m doing fine. I never pay rent on time and I have to ask others for money that I can never pay back because I’m irresponsible,”
“Well you’re not wrong on that last part,”
Usahara gives you a glare, “Let me finish,” you sigh and zip your lips.
“You’re the first girlfriend I’ve had in a long time after my ex broke up with me. I really cherish you and I want to be a good boyfriend. So I got you a promise ring without thinking about rent,” The man bows his head down, refusing to look at you, “I really tried Y/N, I really did want to be good for you knowing how irresponsible and annoying I can be.....I’m sorry that I couldn’t be a responsible boyfriend, you’ll find someone better than me,”
It became really quiet, this made Usahara really nervous. You got on your knees and sat in front of him.
“...Usahara, you idiot,”
“Huh?” You put your arms around his neck catching him off guard, not only that you wanted to hide the tears that were on your face.
“How dare you think low of me, why would I want that? Is that what you think of me?”
“But...Y/N,”
“Who said I wanted to break up? At this point I’d rather be homeless then break up with you. You’re irresponsible, annoying, irritating, and really dunce at times,”
“Oi!”
“Shut up, it’s true you can be a good for nothing too,”
“At this point you’re just hurting my feelings even more,”
“....But, I really love you Usahara and cutting ties right here and now will probably send me back to the drunk you find passed out at the bar. I would like to not go back to that,”
“Well you do drink like a camel- OW?!” You smack Usahara on the back of his head.
“...Next time, please have your reminders on your phone or something. Even though it was your turn to pay this month’s s rent. Be lucky I’m putting up with you...so I’ll pay but no more second chances,”
“Wait, so you’re not breaking up with me?” You roll your eyes and wipes your eyes before pulling away. Hands on his shoulder you make him look at you.
“No and I don’t want to, I choose to deal with you and I don’t regret it even though today you really pissed me off...but I forgive you,” Usahara looks at you confused but nevertheless he accepted your answer, “...can I see the ring?”
“O-Oh, yeah,” he opens the box revealing the ring. It is rose gold ring with a pear brilliant cut galaxy diamond prong. Along with a round diamond half flare.
“It’s beautiful” you say.
“You’re the only person I’ve ever saved my money on Y/N, I didn’t even do this with my ex! So be grateful for me okay? I’ll be a better boyfriend,” you began to laugh as he places the ring in your ringer finger.
“Well that’s a relief, guess that goes to show how much you love me,” he pouts at you, looking like a sad puppy. You peck his cheek and look back at the ring.
“That’s because it’s true, now say it back...i wanna hear it again,”
“Hmm, no,” you reply with a sweet smile and stand up to make your way to the bedroom.
“You’re ruthless!”

Bizarre Love Triangle
Tumblr media
Kumatani Mitsuo/f!Reader/Usahara Tobikichi in a love triangle; since Usahara has more experience with dating he knows what's up but Kumatani is currently still in the dark about his own feelings. No real resolutions, just fluff and some angst and a My Best Friend's Wedding reference for funsies. Summary: For once Kumatani is the one oblivious and Usahara is all too aware of the dynamic that's developed between the three of you. Usahara sits to your left as Kumatani takes the seat to your right without really thinking about it. He’s noticed lately that keeps happening; when Kumatani and him started getting you to come out with them, you were still unfamiliar and it was natural for the two men to sit next to each other.
In a restaurant, a bar, the movies, or even just going over to one another’s places for food and conversation, Usahara gravitated to sitting next to his friend and vice versa. He isn’t able to recall when Kumatani started occupying the space next to you. Kumatani doesn’t make a big show of it, but Usahara has noticed, every single time. Ironic, considering how people categorize him as the oblivious one, and they had a point, but this is different.
Kumatani’s never even been on a date; obligatory mixers and being pressured into joining “not date” group events don’t count. As long as Usahara has known him, Kumatani’s been single and not ready to mingle.
“Careful.” Kumatani moves the pitcher of ice water out of your way as you reach for the sugar packets. “You’ll spill.”
“I saw it.” You roll your eyes with good humor, ripping open the packet with your teeth. “I’m not as clumsy as some people when I drink.”
“Who are you referring to, huh?” Usahara grabs the bowl of sugar packets away from your side of the table. “I resent that.”
“Yet you somehow knew she was talking about you.” Kumatani sips his water before pouring himself a cup of strong black coffee without any to add.
“Oh, don’t you want some cream?” You were just about to hand him the smaller pitcher next to the coffee pot. “I thought you didn’t like plain black coffee.”
“Not usually.”
The three of you had come from a bar a few minutes away, varying levels of buzzed and starving, having not realized the bar didn’t have much in the way of food before stopping in to drink the stress of the day away. Usahara remembered this diner was nearby enough to walk to and open late just for these occasions. He guesses a good amount of business came from drunk people out and about with limited options.
You had chosen a booth and the seat near the window; Kumatani had sat himself down next to you, leaving Usahara, once again, the odd man out.
“You guys suck. Always ganging up on me.” Usahara still feels pretty drunk; he’s not known for holding his liquor but even he recognizes tonight was too much. “I feel bad enough. Can you pass me the coffee?”
“I told you to pace yourself.” You sigh, but can’t help smile at his lopsided grin. “You’re so goofy; here, let me pour you a cup. If anyone’s going to spill something, it’s you…”
“Thanks.” Usahara grins wider as you take his mug, pour in a generous helping of hot coffee and stir in three sugars and a splash of cream without needing prompting. “You’re the best; you’d make a great wife.”
“I don’t know if being able to pour coffee translates to being wife material.” You laugh, snorting a little. “I didn’t even make it.”
“It’s more like something you’d do as an unpaid intern.” Kumatani remarks cynically, shooting Usahara a stern look. “I’d say be careful burning your tongue, but it might actually be an improvement.”
“Ugh, next time I’m only going out with her.” Usahara gratefully takes the mug from your hand, fingertips barely brushing against yours; the steam heats up his face and he blows over the coffee to cool it down some. “What should we do for food? I’m still kinda queasy.”
“Hm, they have a sample platter option.” You’re glancing over the menu, lips pressed together as you read the list. “I’m not super hungry though; Kumatani, if I get this do you want to share with me?”
“Sure.”
Usahara brings the mug back to his lips, wondering what his expression must be; Kumatani has scooted closer to your end of the bench, ostensibly to get a closer look at the platter you’re referring to, except he has his own menu, untouched and closed by his cup of coffee. You point out something and look over briefly with a smile in his direction, somehow missing the way Kumatani edges over until his shoulder all but touches yours. He’s glancing from the menu to your face, his own expression as blank as ever; Usahara might have believed everything was exactly the same as it had been last year. That was when you started working on the set as a script doctor after Amon had a particularly harrowing mental breakdown over ideas of the newest season. You actually worked more with Derekida and Furode directly, but had naturally gravitated to the cast members; you appreciated their input without demanding they do your job for you.
Usahara had thought you were cute before you spoke a word; he was beyond excited to have you join him and the other staff on work trips and after hours social hour. It was way more fun to chat with a cutie pie who laughed at his jokes, so when things progressed to a friendship outside of the job, Usahara didn’t have any complaints.
The three of you have a good thing going on. You’re both Usahara and Kumatani’s friend. Sometimes you go with Usahara to karaoke or leisurely rides on his motorcycle around the expanse of the oceanside roads and other days you go with Kumatani to watch a cheesy B movie or browse pet stores for cat treats. You’ve helped Usahara’s parents move a couch and treated Kumatani’s brother to snacks.
Usahara is almost completely certain Kumatani has no idea. He doesn’t seem to be cognizant of the way he instinctively goes to make sure you’re okay, almost tending to you, even though you don’t need it. Pulling you away from the traffic side of the walkway, asking if you got enough sleep when you’re yawning a lot, always offering unprompted advice and a sympathetic ear. If you were someone more like Hachita or even Iketeru, Usahara would understand the perpetual need to oversee you, like a magnetic pull. That’s just the type of person Kumatani is.
“You should have ordered the honey lemon tea.” You’re nudging Kumatani’s arm with your elbow. “Get it?”
“Uh huh.”
“Cause bears.”
“Yep.”
“Bears? Honey?” You smile at Usahara conspiratorially. “You get it, right?”
“I got it.” Usahara doesn’t want to laugh, but he can’t help it; you’re in a silly mood and it’s adorable. He’s not laughing at you; there’s a bubbling, tingling in his chest. It’s too much, he has to do something about it, and his gut says to laugh. “What should I order?”
“Carrot cake.”
Usahara doubles over and now you’re in hysterics too, giggling like a madwoman; you’re still buzzed and off balance, so you teeter to the side. As you place your hand over your mouth in an attempt to muffle the sound, your head rests lightly against Kumatani’s shoulder. The pleasant sensation in Usahara’s chest squeezes his heart painfully at the way Kumatani goes utterly still as you bury your face into his shoulder when you can’t force the giggles to stop. Usahara may as well cease to exist in this shared space; nothing else is visible in Kumatani’s field of vision. His jaw goes slack, his shoulders slump, and his eyes lose any trace of weary skepticism.
“You’re drunk.” Kumatani’s voice is strangely hushed; gently props you up and only looks away so he can top off your glass of water. “Go on, have some more water.”
“I will, thank you.” You wipe your eyes and obediently take the glass from Kumatani. “I’m not that drunk though.”
“You’re gonna have a nasty hangover and I’m the one who’s going to have to bring you breakfast because you’re too incapacitated to go grocery shopping.”
“I’ll do it.”
Both you and Kumatani look up suddenly in Usahara’s direction; it takes a second for him to realize how loudly he had spoken.
“We’ll both be dealing with some gnarly hangovers, so let’s grab a late breakfast together.” Usahara continues, undeterred by the embarrassment creeping up on him. “You wanted to try that crepe place, yeah?”
“Oh my gosh yes!” You say excitedly, practically shooting up on your seat. “Let’s do that! Whoever wakes up last pays!”
“Aw, no fair, you know I’m a heavy sleeper-”
“How would she know that?”
It’s Usahara’s turn to look taken aback: Kumatani isn’t giving him a death glare per say, but the look in his eyes has gone from soft and mushy to cold steel.
“This lightweight crashed at my place last week; I almost broke my back dragging him out of the road.” You explain casually as you fold your menu and place it on top of the table. “Does everyone know what they want?”
“Good question.” Usahara mumbles.
“We’re splitting the sample platter.” Kumatani puts his menu and yours together. “What about you?”
“Carrot cake.” Usahara winks at you, twitching his nose like a rabbit might.
You return his smile somewhat exasperated. “Be serious: you should eat something too. How about a sandwich? Or soup?”
“Soup is good.”
Usahara doubts he can handle anything heavier right now; his stomach is churning. Why do you have to be so sweet and funny and smart and perfect? And why did Kumatani have to be so dense? Usahara almost wants to clue him in, just so he can get this over with and you can put them both out of their misery.
But, what if you pick one of them? What if they both confess and you decide to choose one and the other person is left to be the third wheel? It’s possible that time will overtake both his and Kumatani’s silly, stupid crushes.
Except, this isn’t a crush anymore. Usahara might even be falling in love with you, the same woman one of his best friends is unknowingly, hopelessly fawning over. Staring at you, Kumatani looks more drunk than he has all night. It’s a shame: if Usahara wasn’t so terrified of Kumatani becoming self aware, he would be teasing him relentlessly.
By the time the late, late dinner is over, Usahara doesn’t feel much better; he spent an hour, sitting all by himself on the other end of the table, essentially forced to watch Kumatani fuss and you, drunkenly, foolishly, humoring him as Kumatani did everything short of hand feeding you. At one point a bit of sauce had smeared near the corner of your mouth; Usahara didn’t know how he managed to stop himself from sweeping all the plates to the floor and vaulting over the table when Kumatani took a napkin to dab at your mouth.
Once more, you’re in the middle, Kumatani and Usahara on either side, lagging behind you by a step or two. Usahara, with an unearned satisfaction, smiles at the way you sway a little from side to side, humming some melody over and over.
“Aw, I wanna do karaoke. Usahara? Can you do me a favor?”
You pout and look over your shoulder at Usahara with the biggest doe eyes, as though you need to even try to act cute to sway him into doing anything; his heart is throbbing against his rib cage. Yes, please, look at him, ask him for something, any little thing your brain can think up. Usahara needs you to look at him first. He knows Kumatani, the strong, quiet, reliable one, he’s the one who's boyfriend material, the guy you take home to meet your family and build a future with. Usahara’s the goofy buddy, cracking jokes and one liners, good company for a fun time and he’s eager to please.
Unlike Kumatani, Usahara is painfully aware of how he comes off and wouldn't be surprised in the least if you had him all figured out already. He scrambles to be at your beck and call, incessantly following you around like a lost puppy for scraps of attention and praise. It doesn’t matter if you’re asking for his opinion on a script or inquiring about a good spot for grilled meat; it’s an opportunity to prove something to you, to finally make something click in your head and somehow, realize he was always the one.
"Pick me." Usahara can't stop his own train of thought as you hesitate. You always make his mind go to mush like this. "Choose me. Let me make you happy."
“What’s up?” Usahara grins like it’s all some big joke but he could drown in those big eyes, melt against your pouting lips. “Your wish is my command.”
“What’s that band called? The one we heard on the radio yesterday on your bike?”
“Hot Freaks?”
“Yeah that’s it! Man, that was bugging me, I hate when I forget stuff like that. Thanks.”
“Sure thing.” Usahara doesn’t stop smiling. Pathetic. He’s so pathetic. “Weather’s supposed to be pretty decent tomorrow; want to go for a ride after breakfast? Lunch? Brunch?”
“Is it? Alright, I’m game.” You give him a knowing look. “No funny business, no driving like a maniac. You nearly gave me a heart attack last time when you-oh!”
“Hey!”
“Watch it!”
There doesn’t seem to be anything to trip over, but all the same, you had wobbled and lurched back. The only reason you’re not laying flat on your back and looking up at the starry sky is because Usahara and Kumatani had sprung into action; there’s two sets of hands on both your shoulders, steadying you so you can stand upright. There’s no telling who reached you first.
“Dammit, pay attention to where you’re walking.” Kumantani’s hand grips onto your shoulder, firm and assuring. “Do you need to lean on me?”
“I got her.” Usahara hasn’t let go of your shoulder and his other hand takes yours gently. “I can take her home with me; we are gonna hang out tomorrow anyway.”
“You’re drunk too; why don’t you go home and sleep it off?” Kumatani says pointedly. “I’ll make sure she’s alright.”
“Dude, she doesn’t need a babysitter.”
“I’m the one who’s the most sober, it makes sense if I take her back.”
“We’re closer to my place.”
“I don’t trust you!”
“What?” Usahara stares incredulously. “What the hell does that mean?”
“I-I didn’t mean, wait,” Kumatani looks just as taken aback by his outburst. “I’m only saying, you’ve been drinking a lot.”
“Uh, guys?” You look back and forth between them; your head's spinning. “Guys?”
“So that means I’d take her back to my place and…do what exactly?” Usahara could punch someone. “Take advantage of her?”
“I didn’t say that.” Kumatani shakes his head earnestly. “Look, I don’t know what got into me, okay? I’m sorry.”
Kumatani isn’t lying; Usahara knows it, but it doesn’t mean he’s any less pissed. What Kumatani actually meant by “I don’t trust you” is he doesn’t trust Usahara to be alone with you, not when he’s drunk and loose lipped and liable to say something to finally tip the scales in his favor. If Kumatani heads out and leaves the two of you alone now, will there be sparks? The line could finally be crossed and what could Kumatani do but be left to the wayside, the official third wheel, and it’s too little too late for him.
Usahara knows something of the sort is running through Kumatani’s racing mind, because that’s how he feels every time the three of you are together now.
“Forget it.” Usahara releases your arm. “You’re right, I’m really drunk; I can walk back to my place. You should take her home.”
“Hey, Usahara, Kumatani?” You speak up tentatively. “Is something…like, going on? You two have been acting off all night. Did something happen between you two?”
“Nothing’s wrong.” Kumatani also retracts his hand, but stays close to you. “We’re tired, that’s all.”
“Cause seriously, I know Usahara; you don’t think he’d try to take advantage of a drunk girl, do you?” You ask Kumatani directly. “He’s your friend.”
“I know, that’s not it, I was just…I get overprotective sometimes. I had a few too many myself earlier.” Kumatani seems to shrink under your critical eye. “I went into big brother mode, I guess. I’m sorry.”
“Well, thanks, but you don’t need to apologize. I never have to worry about anything around you, Kumatani.” You tell him with a warm smile. “I know you don’t mean to overdo it; and anyway, it’s what I like about you.”
“Don’t oversell it.” Kumatani rubs the back of his neck. “Either way, I’d feel weird making you go home alone. Let us walk you back.”
“I appreciate you two looking out for me.” You say gratefully and pat Kumatani’s head. “You know, you’re like the big brother I always wanted, but tone it down a notch, alright? We’re all just hanging out having fun, right?”
“Yeah, right.”
Kumatani watches dumbly as you start walking once more, eyes forward this time to avoid any unexpected trips to the ground. He looks lost and Usahara can’t stop the pangs of sympathy that go out to his friend.
“Oh wow dude.” Usahara mutters, clapping a hand to Kumatani’s shoulder. “That’s rough.”
“Shut. Up.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There’s mostly silence on the way back to your apartment with occasional attempts on your end to get a conversation going again. After the exchanges of goodbyes and goodnights, Usahara and Kumatani wait at your door, making sure you get inside and lock it behind you. They stand outside your door for a few seconds before turning around.
“I need a freaking drink.”
“Want to get a nightcap?”
“Sure, whatever.” Kumatani’s expression softens. “Hey, I am sorry about earlier. I honestly didn’t mean it that way. I know you wouldn’t...”
“Yeah, I figured.” Usahara sighs. “Still, you thought we might end up doing something if it was just us alone.”
“I don’t know what I thought.”
“Dude, playing dumb is my thing.”
“You are dumb.”
Usahara smiles. “So, what do we do?”
“What do you mean?” Kumatani looks genuinely confused. “About drinks?”
“Ugh, man, you’re depressing me.” Usahara whines. “Just be straight with me: are you going to ask her out or not?”
Kumatani scowls. “None of your business.”
“Fine, be that way.” Usahara's smile falls. “Hypothetically, what if she decides to date one of us?”
“I doubt it.”
“I mean, you might be the cool one, but girls like a good sense of humor.” Usahara says lightly, folding his hands behind his head. “And you’re about as dry as seaweed paper.”
“Can you take anything seriously?”
“I’m serious about her.”
Usahara stops in his tracks; the bunny’s already out of the hutch. He’s never been one to bite his tongue and keep his thoughts to himself anyway.
“I’m pretty sure when I tell her, she’s gonna laugh in my face, but I don’t care. If there’s even a small chance, I’m going for it. She’s worth it.” Usahara frowns. “Are we going to be okay?”
Kumatani’s mouth is downturned, considering the question sincerely. After years of knowing each other, Usahara can’t name an instance where they’ve fought. Bickering, sure, and plenty of times where Kumatani’s wrath has been activated or Usahara’s been irritated, but it’s never gotten serious.
“I don’t think so.”
“You hesitated.”
“Well, what about you?” Kumatani asks defensively. “Are you going to cry if she starts dating someone?”
“...honestly?” Usahara chuckles sheepishly. “Probably. This really sucks.”
“No arguments there.” Kumatani concedes with a wry smile. “We have to be cool; we can’t count on Uramichi or Nekota to offer any sympathy about this, can we?”
“Yeah right; if she picks me, I’m going to rub it in your face.”
“I’m going to go back to her place right now and tell her that.”
“No! I’m sorry Kumatani, it was a joke, just a joke!”
“Hey, I like her too.”
“Uh,”
“I get it now.” Kumatani says quietly. “I’ve never felt this way about anyone before.”
Usahara’s stomach drops; this is exactly what he was dreading, but what is he going to do? Tell Kumatani to knock it off? Say “But I liked her first!” and call dibs? He feels childish enough; when Kumatani had so innocently put his hands on you to keep you propped upright, Usahara had to fight off another pesky impulse, this time to yank you into his arms and never let go.
“Took ya long enough.” Usahara yawns. “I changed my mind; I’m gonna go to bed so I can get up early.”
“Early?” Kumatani looks vaguely disbelieving. “You really don’t want to pay for breakfast, huh?”
“I’m paying either way.” Usahara shrugs. “Shouldn’t the guy pay on dates?”
Kumatani stands under the street light and Usahara can see the resolve in his gaze.
“Does she know it’s a date?”
“Call it a test run.” Usahara shrugs his shoulders again. “See you later, Kumatani.”
“Later.”
Kumatani nods stiffly; they walk away in opposite directions, satisfied to leave things on a tentative truce of sorts. Usahara knows he’s being a little sneaky, but he believes whatever happens, their friendship can survive the fall out. Ultimately the final decision is yours alone.
Until then, all's fair in love and war.
kissing him awake
Tumblr media
gender neutral reader
uramichi omota
your intentions may have been sweet but be prepared for a grumpy looking uramichi looking at you with a morose expression. he seems to question all his life choices before he accepts his fate and yawns.
"good morning," he says drowsily.
getting up, he does some stretching exercises and warms up a little before turning to you with a warmer, robotic expression.
only after he has brushed his teeth does he give you a kiss on your cheek. it's his routine.
iketeru daga
he's quite accustomed to waking up to ms sayuri nudging him or licking his face. in contrast, he must say that he enjoys your morning kisses better. but don't tell ms sayuri that!
without opening his eyes, he turns towards you and kisses you on the forehead, quietly mumbling a good morning. he looks adorable while drowsy, like a little child so you can't help but admire him.
ms sayuri seems to feel the same because she just stares at his sleeping form while wagging her tail energetically. he thinks of onigiris and gets up when hungry.
tobikichi usahara
this is what he signed up for! cute couple stuff!
he is clingy while sleeping, not wanting to let you go so it's an ordeal trying to disentangle yourself from his grip. his hair is already a mess in the mornings but you can try petting his head and kissing him awake. now his hair looks like a bird's nest. he likes the feeling of your fingers.
as soon as he is aware of what's happening, he smiles widely and hugs you tightly.
"do that again, [name]~ it was so cuteeee. gimme a kiss," he pouts, wanting to be kissed on his lips.
be playful and throw a pillow gently on his face. if you tell him that he gets a kiss only after freshening up, he is quicker to drag his ass off bed.
↱ debts and new beginnings ↰
➘ summary : Tobikichi Usahara didn’t expect to ever clear up his debt. Turns out all he needed was a push in the right direction.
 ➘ Tobikichi Usahara x reader , Life Lessons With Uramichi Oniisan x Reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tobikichi Usahara gazed out of the window, his mind swirling with a mixture of anxiety and uncertainty. The bustling city below seemed like a blur as he grappled with the weight of his mounting debts. Despite the vibrant colors of the streets and the cheerful chatter around him, his thoughts were dominated by the shadows of unpaid bills and overdue loans. His days on the set of the popular variety show "Together with Maman" were filled with laughter and camaraderie, but his nights were haunted by financial worries that refused to let him rest.
Tobikichi's co-worker, Yuki, who played alongside him on the show, noticed his distracted demeanor during a break. Yuki had always been perceptive and quick to offer support when needed. As the crew dispersed, Yuki approached Tobikichi with a sympathetic smile.
"Hey, Tobikichi, I've noticed you've been a bit down lately. Is everything okay?"
Tobikichi sighed, running a hand through his hair. "It's these loans, Yuki. They're closing in on me, and I can't seem to find a way out."
Yuki nodded understandingly. "I've been there before. But you know, there might be a way to get some relief. Have you heard of Business Loan Helpers?"
Tobikichi raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Business Loan Helpers? What's that?"
Yuki leaned in, her voice lowered as if sharing a secret. "They're an organization that specializes in helping people like us who are buried in debt. They pay off your loans in exchange for your commitment to work for them. They offer various jobs, and you work off your debt through your hard work."
Tobikichi's interest was piqued, but his skepticism lingered. "Sounds a bit sketchy, doesn't it? What kind of work would they make me do?"
Yuki grinned, reassuringly. "It's not as bad as it might sound. They focus on community service – things like making delivery runs, assisting at animal shelters, and helping out at homeless shelters."
Tobikichi's curiosity battled with his reservations. "Community service? That doesn't sound too bad, I suppose."
After a few days of contemplation, Tobikichi found himself standing in front of the Business Loan Helpers office. The sleek glass doors and modern interior design gave an air of professionalism to the place. Taking a deep breath, he pushed open the door and entered the reception area.
A young woman behind the reception desk looked up from her work and greeted him with a warm smile. "Welcome to Business Loan Helpers! I'm (Y/N). How can I assist you today?"
Tobikichi cleared his throat, feeling a mix of nerves and hope. "I've heard about your services and thought I'd come to learn more."
(Y/N) gestured towards a comfortable seating area. "Of course, please take a seat. I'd be happy to explain everything."
As Tobikichi settled into a chair, he took in the office's clean and inviting atmosphere. "(Y/N), how exactly does Business Loan Helpers work? How can you help me pay off my loans?"
(Y/N) leaned forward, her expression empathetic. "We believe in providing individuals with a fresh start. We pay off your loans for you, and in return, you work for us. The work we offer focuses on community service – things like making delivery runs, assisting at animal shelters, and helping out at homeless shelters."
Tobikichi leaned back, considering the proposition. "So, I'd essentially trade my debt for my time?"
(Y/N) nodded, her smile warm and encouraging. "Exactly. It's a way to not only alleviate your financial burden but also make a positive impact in your community."
Tobikichi's skepticism still lingered, but a glimmer of hope began to emerge. "It's an interesting concept, I'll admit. But is this all above board? I mean, it sounds almost too good to be true."
(Y/N) chuckled softly. "I understand your concerns. We're a legitimate organization, fully registered and operating within the bounds of the law. Our aim is to help individuals while also contributing positively to society."
Tobikichi tapped his fingers thoughtfully. "It's a unique proposition, no doubt. If this is a chance to finally break free from my debts, maybe it's worth a shot."
(Y/N)'s smile widened. "That's all we ask for – an open mind and a willingness to take a step towards change. We'll provide you with all the details, and you can decide if this path aligns with your goals."
As Tobikichi walked out of the Business Loan Helpers office, a mix of uncertainty and newfound hope churned within him. The idea of swapping his debts for meaningful work was intriguing, but he knew that challenges would undoubtedly arise. Little did he realize that this decision would not only reshape his financial landscape but also lead him on a journey of self-discovery, unexpected friendships, and the opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of others through the act of service.
Weeks turned into months, and Tobikichi's days became a whirlwind of activity as he juggled his responsibilities on the set of "Together with Maman" and his commitments to Business Loan Helpers. With each passing day, he felt a growing sense of fulfillment that he hadn't experienced in a long time. The weight of his financial burden was gradually lifting, replaced by a newfound purpose and a community of like-minded individuals.
Tobikichi's interactions with his co-stars and the crew on the variety show began to evolve as well. He found himself sharing his experiences with Aoi and Yuki, his once-private struggles now serving as a bridge to deeper connections. The camaraderie that had always existed on set deepened, as everyone rallied around each other's victories and challenges.
One afternoon, during a break on set, Yuki approached Tobikichi with a smile. "You seem more alive these days, Tobikichi. Something's changed."
Tobikichi chuckled, a genuine warmth in his eyes. "It's true. Ever since I joined Business Loan Helpers, I've found a sense of purpose that I didn't realize I was missing. Helping out at the shelters, making those delivery runs – it's been eye-opening."
Yuki nodded, clearly pleased to see the positive impact that Tobikichi's decision had brought to his life. "It's amazing how sometimes the most unexpected choices can lead to the most fulfilling outcomes."
As time passed, Tobikichi's involvement with Business Loan Helpers became more ingrained in his routine. He became adept at his delivery runs, navigating the city streets with ease. He formed bonds with the shelter animals, providing them with much-needed care and affection. And as he helped out at the homeless shelters, he began to understand the stories and struggles of the individuals he encountered, building bridges of empathy and compassion.
One day, after finishing his shift at the animal shelter, Tobikichi received a call from (Y/N), the founder of Business Loan Helpers. Her voice held a note of excitement as she shared some news.
"Tobikichi, we've noticed your dedication and the positive impact you've been making. We'd like to offer you an opportunity to take on a leadership role within our organization."
Tobikichi's heart raced, a mixture of surprise and pride welling up within him. "A leadership role? What would that entail?"
(Y/N) explained, "We've seen your commitment, and we believe your experience and enthusiasm make you a great fit to help guide others who are starting on this journey. You'll be responsible for mentoring new participants and helping them navigate their own path toward debt relief and community service."
Tobikichi's mind raced as he considered the proposition. The idea of mentoring others resonated deeply with him, a chance to pay forward the support and guidance he had received.
"I'd be honored to take on that role," he replied, his voice filled with determination. "I want to help others discover the same sense of purpose and empowerment that I've found."
(Y/N)'s smile was evident in her voice. "We're thrilled to have you on board, Tobikichi. Your journey is just beginning, and we're excited to see how far you'll go."
As Tobikichi hung up the phone, he couldn't help but reflect on how far he had come since that first hesitant step into the Business Loan Helpers office. The shadows of his financial worries had gradually given way to the light of meaningful work, personal growth, and the warmth of new friendships. With a renewed sense of purpose, Tobikichi looked toward the future with anticipation, ready to embrace the challenges and joys that lay ahead on his path to financial freedom and a life rich with purpose.
As the days turned into weeks, Tobikichi's involvement with Business Loan Helpers deepened. He embraced his new role as a mentor, guiding others who were walking a similar path to the one he had embarked upon. His enthusiasm was infectious, and he found solace in knowing that he was making a real difference in people's lives.
Among those he mentored was a young woman named Mari, who had recently joined the program. She had the same initial skepticism that Tobikichi had felt, but his stories of transformation and growth had inspired her to take the plunge.
During their first meeting, Tobikichi found himself recounting his own journey, the doubts he had overcome, and the unexpected rewards he had reaped. Mari listened with rapt attention, her eyes filled with a mixture of curiosity and hope.
"You really think this can work for me too?" Mari asked, a trace of uncertainty in her voice.
Tobikichi smiled warmly, his own experiences lending him a newfound sense of confidence. "Absolutely, Mari. It won't be easy, but if you're willing to put in the effort, you can change your life in ways you never thought possible."
As Tobikichi continued to mentor Mari, he found himself reflecting on the impact that (Y/N) had on his own journey. Her guidance, encouragement, and unwavering belief in him had been pivotal in his transformation. And as he spoke about her to Mari, he couldn't help but notice a growing warmth in his heart.
The more time Tobikichi spent at the Business Loan Helpers office, the more he found himself drawn to (Y/N). He admired her dedication, her passion for helping others, and the way she seamlessly balanced the demands of her role. Her presence brightened even the gloomiest days, and he felt a deep sense of gratitude towards her.
One evening, after a busy day of mentoring and community service, Tobikichi found himself alone in the office with (Y/N). They had just finished discussing the progress of some of the participants, and (Y/N) turned to him with a smile.
"I've been hearing such positive feedback about your mentoring, Tobikichi. You have a way of inspiring others and helping them find their own strengths."
Tobikichi's heart swelled with pride at her words. "(Y/N), I have to admit, your support and guidance have been instrumental in my own journey. I wouldn't be where I am today without you."
(Y/N)'s cheeks tinged with a faint blush, her smile softening. "I'm glad to hear that, Tobikichi. It's always rewarding to see the impact we're making in people's lives."
As Tobikichi looked into her eyes, a warmth spread through his chest. He admired her even more for her humility and dedication, and he couldn't deny the growing affection he felt towards her. But he also couldn't shake the feeling that pursuing anything beyond a professional relationship could complicate things – not just for him, but for the participants who looked up to him as a mentor.
As the days turned into weeks, Tobikichi continued to spend time with (Y/N) while focusing on his mentorship role. Their conversations deepened, and he cherished the moments when their paths crossed. And though he kept his feelings in check, he couldn't help but wonder if (Y/N) sensed the subtle shift in his demeanor.
With each passing day, Tobikichi's admiration for (Y/N) grew stronger, and he found himself more thankful than ever for the chance Business Loan Helpers had given him – not just for the debt relief, but for the opportunity to connect with someone who had played a significant role in his journey towards a better life.
