nabi nasceu em incheon, na coréia do sul, sua vida era normal até ali, sua infância era saud��vel e a melhor que poderia ter. tudo parecia perfeito para ela, sempre foi uma garota mimada pelos pais, a garota não tinha irmãos, então era praticamente o centro das atenções em casa. certo dia, seus pais receberam uma proposta de emprego nos estados unidos, o salário seria muito maior do que eles recebiam na coréia, a qualidade de vida seria muito melhor para eles na américa, não pensaram duas vezes e então seguiram o rumo. nabi tentou não acreditar no que estava acontecendo, sua vida inteira estava na coréia, duma hora para outra seus pais fizeram a decisão e sem ao menos consultar sua filha. foi difícil pra nabi conviver em lugar totalmente diferente, aprender outra língua e cultura. seus pais já não lhe davam mais a devida atenção, viviam praticamente ocupados com o novo trabalho, foi então que dali nabi começou a se tornar independente, tendo certeza que nunca precisaria de ninguém na sua vida. muitas vezes queria chamar atenção de sua família com coisas supérfluas no decorrer da sua adolescência, mas foi tudo em vão. e quando finalmente completou dezoito anos, a mesma simplesmente decidiu voltar a coréia e tentar cursar algo lá. seus pais ficaram um tanto surpresos com a decisão da filha. eles já não podiam mais a obrigar a fazer algo, nabi agora era totalmente dependente de si. os pais da garota apoiaram a filha e lhe deram uma quantia de dinheiro para que ele pudesse viver bem na coréia. quando voltou, nabi recomeçou sua vida, ela se sentia em casa. ela cursou arquitetura na faculdade e se tornou popular no ramo, se preocupando demais com o trabalho e esquecendo do resto da sua vida.

City Networks [bachelor in architecture thesis ETSAM 2015] 

Thesis exploring the political and social implications of connectivity as technology and data become more ubiquitous and present in daily life. How shall urban policy adapt to the technological reality, are social networks the tool to empower smart citizens and achieve a real smart city, not one imposed through a technocratic approach? What are the implications for the urban environment of permanent connectivity and an increasingly virtual urban living, and where does the virtual anchor itself in real life, creating both solutions and conflict? Can these tools be appropriated to invert the negative trends of the modern city, such as the loss of local trade due to e-commerce, or the programming of public space no only in hypersaturated urban cores, but also in suburban areas? A speculative piece that helped me gain critical insight into the relationship of the urban environment to the new dogma of data.

A Superintendência de Seguros Privados (Susep) divulgou nesta segunda-feira a relação dos 21 projetos selecionados para participar da segunda edição de seu "sandbox", regime regulatório flexível que permite inovação e experimentação. As empresas iniciam agora o processo de autorização para poderem atuar, por até três anos, com menor custo regulatório e mais flexibilidade.

Segundo a Susep, os projetos selecionados trazem novidades para o mercado, com uso de telemetria (colega remota de informações), geolocalização e imagens de satélite para melhorar a cobertura e a regulação dos sinistros. As propostas incluem ainda produtos alinhados com tendências de home office e a agenda ESG (sigla em inglês para ambiental, social e governança), por exemplo.

Rafael Scherre, diretor técnico da Susep, conta que foram selecionadas propostas com modelos de negócios aderentes ao ambiente regulatório experimental. A ideia é que haja introdução de novos serviços e novas formas de prestar serviços tradicionais no mercado de seguros ou novos produtos. "Esperamos resultados que beneficiem diretamente a vida dos consumidores", afirma Scherre.

No "sandbox" regulatório foram selecionados projetos que oferecem seguros em formato pay-per-use (traduzido, "pague pelo uso") e coberturas intermitentes para proteção de automóveis, residências e, inclusive, práticas esportivas. Há também propostas que atendem seguros agrícolas paramétricos, que protegem os resultados do negócio de oscilações climáticas, por exemplo.

Outras inovações que serão testadas são o uso de tecnologias avançadas para monitoramento e regulação de sinistros focados na inclusão de produtores rurais de pequeno e médio porte; microsseguros de danos; seguros para caminhões; seguros de fiança locatícia em formatos simples e inéditos; seguros para passageiros que busquem reduzir perdas com cancelamento e remarcação de passagens aéreas e hotéis.
