Stumbled on this gem by chance, was able to catch the METS wildcard game to boot! Great place!
🇮🇪
“The Dublin House opened as a speakeasy in 1921. The neon harp, a mere 89 years old, made its first appearance in 1933, at the end of Prohibition.”

When we first moved to NYC in ‘90s, we lived on the Upper West Side for fourteen years, where I had three local watering holes... P&G Cafe (RIP), The Dead Poet and Dublin House. Visiting the area earlier this week, we dropped into the Dublin House for a drink before dinner and to see if Mike, the establishment’s long time bartender, was still there. (Turns out he is, only working afternoons now though.) But on the way in, I was surprised to find what appears to be an authentic Banksy painting on the wall next to the bar! I’m going to research this a bit more, but it was a thrill for me to see my food & drink and art lives crossover again, right next door to a place that hold so many memories.
