Discover the Finest Fabrics for Your Needs at Amazing Warehouse Inc.
When it comes to selecting the best fabric for your project, whether it’s a stunning bridesmaid dress, comfortable leggings, or eco-friendly unpaper towels, Amazing Warehouse Inc. in Los Angeles has you covered. With our extensive selection and expert guidance, you can find the perfect material for any purpose. In this article, we’ll explore the differences between silk organza and polyester organza, the best stretch fabric for female dresses, the ideal fabric for leggings, and the top choice for unpaper towels.
Understanding the Difference Between Silk Organza and Polyester Organza
Organza is a lightweight, sheer fabric that’s commonly used in wedding gowns, evening wear, and decorative applications. While both silk organza and polyester organza are popular choices, they have distinct differences.
Silk Organza: Made from natural silk fibers, silk organza is prized for its luxurious feel and natural sheen. It’s more delicate and offers a softer drape, making it perfect for high-end garments and bridal wear. However, silk organza is more expensive and requires careful handling and maintenance.
Polyester Organza: Polyester organza, on the other hand, is made from synthetic fibers, offering a more affordable and durable option. It’s easier to care for and maintain, making it suitable for decorations, costumes, and garments that require frequent washing. Although it doesn’t have the same natural sheen as silk, it still provides a beautiful, crisp finish.
At Amazing Warehouse Inc., we offer both silk and polyester organza, ensuring you can find the right fabric for your specific needs.
Best Stretch Fabric for Female Dresses
When it comes to designing comfortable and flattering female dresses, the right stretch fabric can make all the difference. Here are some of the top choices available at Amazing Warehouse Inc.:
Jersey Knit: This fabric is known for its excellent stretch and recovery, making it ideal for form-fitting dresses. It’s comfortable, breathable, and drapes beautifully, ensuring a flattering silhouette.
Spandex/Elastane: Often blended with other fibers, spandex adds significant stretch and flexibility to fabrics. It’s perfect for body-hugging dresses that require a lot of movement.
Double Knit: With its substantial weight and good stretch, double knit fabric provides structure while maintaining comfort. It’s great for dresses that need to hold their shape while allowing for ease of movement.
Best Fabric for Leggings
Choosing the right fabric for leggings is crucial for comfort, durability, and performance. Here are some of the best options available at Amazing Warehouse Inc.:
Nylon-Spandex Blend: This fabric is commonly used in activewear due to its excellent stretch, durability, and moisture-wicking properties. It offers a smooth finish and maintains its shape, making it perfect for leggings.
Cotton-Spandex Blend: For a softer, more breathable option, a cotton-spandex blend provides comfort and flexibility. It’s ideal for casual leggings and offers a cozy feel against the skin.
Polyester-Spandex Blend: Known for its durability and quick-drying properties, polyester-spandex blend is great for athletic leggings. It resists pilling and fading, ensuring your leggings look great wash after wash.
Best Fabric for Unpaper Towels
Unpaper towels are a sustainable and eco-friendly alternative to disposable paper towels. The right fabric can enhance their absorbency and durability. Here are some top choices from Amazing Warehouse Inc.:
Cotton Flannel: Soft, absorbent, and durable, cotton flannel is a popular choice for unpaper towels. It effectively soaks up spills and can withstand frequent washing.
Birdseye Cotton: This fabric features a distinctive woven pattern that enhances its absorbency. It’s lightweight yet sturdy, making it perfect for reusable kitchen towels.
Terry Cloth: Known for its looped texture, terry cloth is highly absorbent and ideal for unpaper towels. It’s great for tackling bigger spills and messes.

Peaceful Mother Nature
1. Reusable cups are a great alternative to things like single use water bottles and single use cups! Reusing or refilling these single use items is also an option! Reusing single use products is a great way to cut down on waste. Refilling a plastic water bottle or using an old coffee-shop cup as a pen/paint brush/makeup brush/pencil holder on your desk is a great way to try and help reduce the use of single-use plastics. Remember! It isn't single use if you use it more than once!
2. Have clothes that are falling apart? Don't we all! Fast fashion sometimes feels unavoidable, so don't feel bad! Youtube and google are free! If you have some clothes that have holes, tears, or fraying seems, hop online and teach yourself how to fix them. There are lots of places that sell/give out inexpensive or free sewing kits! This also works for blankets and sheets!
3. Unpaper towels have risen in popularity recently, and I think that's great! But let's face it friends, not everyone can afford to spend upwards of $15 on what is essentially a single roll of paper towels that you have to wash in order to reuse, especially when paper towels are more convenient than having to do laundry every day or two to make sure you have a full roll. Lots of stores like Walmart or Target have large packs of rags you can buy for relatively cheep! Some stores have 5-10 packs for $5-$10! Rags are the same dang thing as unpaper towels, friends! Also, paper towels are made of paper. Paper is soluble in water and, aside from glossy or colored paper, is compostable! Throw those used paper towels into a compost pile or a bucket with food scraps, and you're set!
4. Speaking of composting! Let's talk about accessible composting. Not everyone has the space or the time for large compost piles, big rotating compost bins, or giant barrels to dump their compost into. It may seem daunting, but composting is much easier than some companies and some people make it out to be! As always, google and youtube are free! Look up your options! Countertop compost bins can be anywhere from $5 to $500! More advanced ones obviously come with more advanced settings, but a $5 plastic compost bin from Target is just as valid as a $400 Lumi smart composter! Shop online for a counter top bin, or go to a gardening/hardware store and get a cheap plastic bucket with a lid. Most food scraps and paper are compostable and you can use your own compost as fertilizer for plants, offer it to local gardens and neighborhood gardens, or let friends and family use it in their own gardening endeavors
5. Lastly, contact your local, state, and federal government about legislation and requirements for massive companies and millionaires/billionaires to be liable and responsible for their own environmental impact. We as individuals can do all we can in our day to day to reduce our own waste, but the problem does not fall on us alone. Massive companies, the oil and gas industry, and our own governments have a giant role in this. Keep the pressure on the government to push for stricter laws and regulations. Pressure companies to move towards more eco-friendly methods of production and distribution. Make billionaires and their friends face repercussions to the direct impact they have on the planet. Companies and the people who run them must be held accountable for their hand in the destruction they cause and benefit from. Remember friends, we are not the problem. But we can try our best to help. Sign and share petitions, donate when you can, and make your voices heard.

a collection of eco friendly lifestyle ideas + swaps from various sources around the web:
reusable makeup remover wipes/cotton rounds - i use these and they’re way softer on the skin and bigger so you can use multiple times before washing either in sink or with a laundry load.
cutting products open when they are almost finished - will acc save a lot of money and means that even if buying sustainably is inaccessible to you (valid!) you can make products last for longer
freeze your overripe fruits for smoothies - all tastes the same, means you can make ur own cute lil smoothie mixes and they are often thicker!!
wash dry and reuse plastic bags - they’re almost unavoidable, but you can reuse them easily (i do this for my lunch!)
buy slow fashion - to some this might be too pricey which is totally fine!! but for my uk ppl: run and fly, lucy and yak, and fat face all look rly good and have fun clothing.
eat plant based food - you don’t have to be a vegetarian, you can do meat free monday or just choose the mcplant over a normal burger at maccies! quorn has acc aamzing chicken nuggets and often supermarkets have vegetarian aisles!
support your local farmers market - they often do not wax their apples and you will actually be able to support local businesses instead of big corporations! they also are just fun to go to :)
use a bar dish soap and a bamboo brush
to wash your body, buy bar soap and a net type pouch for it to be able to save it and exfoliate, often less expensive and not packaged in plastic, more scents or you can even make your own!! i’ve heard black african soap is rly good!
use a recycled plastic toothbrush over a normal one - you can use bamboo, but for me bc of sensory issues i can’t, so this is a nice compromise!
use beeswax wraps for food instead of clingfilm - they are more sticky and thick so accessible for people with motor issues (maybe, correct me if i’m wrong but less delicate?) and they have fun patterns and are available from lots of small businesses
instead of liquid hand soap, either use a bar soap or my preference would be a glass pump bottle and tablets that you can dissolve as i find bar soap hard to handle, but bar soap you can keep in tins!
use a reusable water bottle - you can fill them with fizzy drinks or energy drinks, there’s no rules against this!! they keep your drink cold and are sturdier then plastic, and definitely cheaper!! you can also draw on some or stick stickers on to make them more ‘you’!
use cloth napkins and ‘unpaper’ towels instead of rolls of paper towels
buy in bulk
use an ice tray or machine instead of buying big bags from the store - less heavy definitely, and you can add fruits and make ice pops with trays!!
use a refillable or natural deodorant- i use wild (uk ppl!!) and it smells nice, the refills are easy and come in paper and i have a rly cute metal holder!!
you can get reusable cupcake papers - esp for my ppl who like the lick the bottom, they won’t fall apart XD!
use a kindle - reduces the amount of paper books you have to buy, easily transportable, can lend books out to ppl and cheaper books!
bring your own lunch - esp if ur a picky eater like me, i often bring a cheese sandwich and some crisps places so i’m not stuck not eating or choking down food i don’t like and leaving leftovers, also means you can use your own plastic tupperwares instead of store bought single use things lol
grow your own things - i used to grow strawberries as a child and it was surprisingly easily, some ideas are bottle tower gardens and a kitchen herb gardens, you can also grow cat grass and catnip for all my cat parents out there :)
collect rainwater for your plants - just keep a mason jar in your backyard if you have one, or journey out when it’s raining and fill a jar, will last you a bit!!
that’s all i have for now but feel free to add more!!

okay super random but i figure maybe all ten of my followers might take this seed of information into the world but like
months ago i bought this pack of like....reusuable (i think plant based) like, towel things. from homegoods for a couple bucks. some random little thing. and shit man i dont use paper towels hardly anymore (unless its something yucky i need to like dispose of immediately). these arent the "unpaper" towels. the material isnt fabriccy its like matted fibers or something idk but if u ever see some of these little dudes i sincerely think theyre worth the investment. my teatowels dont absorb much and i dont like to use them for anything but hand drying but these dudes i use for everythinggggg else. theyre suuper absorbent and stupid durable. im still on the first towel after months (i just wash it gently by hand if it gets gross). idk what brand they r or what they were called exactly but im sure the spirit of them applies to other products :) theyre literally my favorite thing tbh

My Zero Waste Store, 25 S El Molino Ave, Pasadena, CA 91101
Tumblr media
Definitely admire the goal of this store – to reduce the use of single use plastics and promote a more sustainable lifestyle. You can bring your own containers for refills of shampoo, lotions, sunscreen, laundry detergent, sunscreen, sunglasses, etc. They also have things for storage, tumblers, reusable towels, compost bins, pantry/food (rice, beans, coffee, tea, nuts), health and beauty (e.g., soap, deodorant), pets (even pet food), babies, and lots of menstrual cups.
They had lots of sustainable products I hadn’t seen before and some I had seen (e.g., Stasher). Wish the sustainable products were cuter.
My picks:
Recycled microfiber cloths set of 3 ($8.99)
Last Round reusable makeup remover pads ($16): 7 pads in a case, seems to be the retail price, replaces cotton pads. Danish design.
Marley’s UnPaper Towels ($16): replaces paper towels
I noticed the store usually looks dark but that’s probably because they’re conserving energy.
4 out of 5 stars

The "Unpaper" Towels
The “Unpaper” Towels
So, I completed my “unpaper” towels. I believe the actual pattern called them reusable paper towels, but I found hat an odd name since they were not paper. Here is what I learned about making these: Use a walking foot. I fought with it until I got the bright isdea to use my walking foot. After that everything went much better. Put your opening to turn right side out on the side not where you…

Let’s Talk Trash // The Zero Waste Movement
The Zero Waste Movement can be an extreme and overwhelming cause to try to be a part of, but if you can remember that we are all just humans trying to do the best we can for the world before we die then maybe you can find a way to ease yourself into a new, less wasteful lifestyle.
On my YouTube channel (The Ashes Of Ley) I will be uploading a video about simple changes a beginner can make in order to move towards a more zero waste lifestyle. The tips I am sharing in the video are generalized to include all people but I wanted to make a specific post here to appeal to individuals who may not have the means to gain access to the items shown in my video.
To start with, there is no need to get a fancy pants reusable water bottle. You can get a good one for less than $10 at Walmart or a dollar store. If you have a TJ MAXX or Marshalls near by you could probably find a really nice one there for under $15. Coffee shops will allow you to use any reusable mug it does not have to be large, expensive, or stainless steel.
You don’t have to purchase bamboo utensils or a fancy carrying case for them. Go into your kitchen, take out a fork, knife, and spoon and place those into a clean pencil case or make up bag and voila you have yourself To-Go Ware.
Avoid straws, you don’t have to replace them if you can just avoid them all together.
Rags, towels, old worn out clothes, any of these items can be used to replace paper towels and napkins.
Reusable bags made from t-shirts, pillow cases, sheets, etc., work just as well as the ones bought from the grocery store and other shops.
Lastly, never sacrafice your well-being because someone make you feel guilty. If you take medication and it comes in a plastic bottle, continue taking your medication. If your medication is not vegan continue taking your medication.
NEVER SACRIFICE YOUR HEALTH FOR ANYTHING.
