In a world where Dean was in-character in s14 he would absolutely have been devastated by Mary's death and yes angry. But he wouldn't have been angry at Jack.

He would have been angry at Cas, for not saying something sooner. He might have been angry at Sam, if Sam noticed and didn't say something.

But mostly? Mostly Dean would be angry at himself, because Dean has a lot of flaws but failure to take responsibility has never been one of them. He wouldn't be able to just handwave away that he was Jack's father too, that he knew something was wrong and said nothing as well. And he wouldn't be able to just forget how Jack lost his soul in the first place. He wouldn't be able to forget that Jack burned it away stopping Michael. Saving him.

I also think he would know why Jack was hiding. Why he didn't come to any of them sooner when he felt different than before. Why he was so afraid, when he shouldn't have even been capable of fear, of them knowing his soul was gone.

I think he would pray to Jack. Beg him to come home so they could fix it. Before the purgatory prayer to Cas, we would get Dean sitting alone in Jack's room, staring sadly at the wall and telling Jack he's sorry he didn't make Jack feel like he could come to him before. Begging his son to come home.

No God Gun. No Mount Moriah. When Chuck showed up peddling that shit Dean and Sam and Cas would ALL tell him where to stick it.

And would it all end up the same?

Maybe, but it's the journey that matters. And in this journey Dean does not try to kill his son.

alas, no. my brain is all too frequently mushy, or i am tired, or i am busy. i try to finish something at least once a month, though, and have been reasonably successful at this since 2017.

"danny gets cold easily" "danny resists cold" "danny gets hot easily" "danny resists heat" ive got ur compromise dannys sense of temperature is reliant on his internal temperature, external temp has little effect on his internal temperature but it does mean that if he is overflowing with cold energy (like in urban jungle) then he'll feel cold and if like something's burning his core or smth he'll feel hot you get me? so external temperature still has an effect on that but its not the entire cause so its not like hes just gonna be reacting to external temperature, theres more at play than that
