How did one person made me fall in love w: french again (&more.. after pandemic n quarantine n nothing seemed to work to get me back to motivating on learning it, n this also after i got crazy in luv w hebrew, n learnt how antisemitic is/was/can be France)

italian (which i found ugh, cs the accent, but ok s not the only one thing... songs are actually beautiful in that "mammamia language" lol... also Umberto Eco :) 4 no apparent big reason other than him being italian & a master of his work of which im found #semiotics (namely symbolism))

n the acorddeon (this is a weird storry, i think i was a bit scared back in kindergarden by the music teacher which played that instrument)...

Btw not a fun of roses, but to make a point on the different petals united in this beautiful flower, or how i firstly discovered Umberto Eco ;), then rediscovered in faculty, ith on semiotics (his domain if im not wrong) n then on 'how to write a thesis' :// (which i failed at due to the syndrom of the perfectionist, lol)...

He is a 1st in 3: my introduction to catholicism, the 1st book i read that summer was his name ...

"È sciocco pensare che si debbano leggere tutti i libri che si comprano, come è sciocco criticare chi compra più libri di quanti ne potrà mai leggere. Sarebbe come dire che bisogna usare tutte le posate o i bicchieri o i cacciavite o le punte del trapano che si sono comprate, prima di comprarne di nuove. Nella vita ci sono cose di cui occorre avere sempre una scorta abbondante, anche se ne useremo solo una minima parte. Se, per esempio, consideriamo i libri come medicine, si capisce che in casa è bene averne molti invece che pochi: quando ci si vuole sentire meglio, allora si va verso "l’armadietto delle medicine" e si sceglie un libro. Non uno a caso, ma il libro giusto per quel momento. Ecco perché occorre averne sempre una nutrita scelta! Chi compra un solo libro, legge solo quello e poi se ne sbarazza, semplicemente applica ai libri la mentalità consumista, ovvero li considera un prodotto di consumo, una merce. Chi ama i libri, sa che il libro è tutto fuorché una merce."

Kitapçı on beş gün sonra uğramasını söylermiş ve kitap sırf o kişiye özel olarak kopyalanırmış. En çok aranan kitaplar için stokta bazı nüshaları vardı belki de. Kitapların satın alınışı konusunda kesinlikten tamamen uzak fikirlerimiz var, hatta matbaanın icadından sonrası için de bu böyle. Kaldı ki, basılan ilk kitaplar ciltlenmiş olarak satın alınmıyordu. Yaprak yaprak satın alıp sonradan ciltletmek gerekiyordu. Koleksiyonunu yaptığımız kitapların ciltlerindeki çeşitlilik, bibliyofiliden alabildiğimiz mutluluğu açıklayan sebeplerden biridir. Cilt, aynı kitabın iki nüshası arasında kayda değer bir fark yaratabilir, hem kitap meraklısı için hem eski eser satıcısı için."
