(Takeshi is giving his math class an exam. He has over 60 students in this class, and many students don’t attend class regularly, so he doesn't know everybody’s faces, but he does know the students names.)

*A male alien Icarus student hands in exam with the name “M. Surname” on it, and tries to leave quickly*

Takeshi: *stopping him* Excuse me, I happen to know that the “M” in “M. Surname” stands for “Margo ,” and you don’t look like a Margo.

Icarus Student, flustered: Um… it’s pronounced “Argo"?

Takeshi: So where does the M fit in that exactly?

Icarus Student: ... The m is actually silent.

Takeshi, Beyond skeptical: Uh-huh. Do you happen to have your student ID on you?

Icarus Student: No, I’m afraid I don’t…

(“M-argo” then runs out of the room as soon as Takeshi looks away to accept another student’s exam. He later checked the student directory, and finds M. Surname was listed as female, and her photo looked nothing like the Icarus student considering she was human. Takeshi gave her a big fat 0 on the exam, and reported her to the student conduct board.

Shortly after her embarrassed parents pulled her from the class. Takeshi now uses this tale as a lesson to would-be cheaters: if you’re going to get someone else to take an exam for you, at least have them be a passing species and the right gender.)

ok but think about….men who get carried away when they kiss you. their breathing gets heavier, grip gets harder, and suddenly they cannot let go of your lips.

Pulling you back into them if you even think about pulling away. Air? Who is she? They kiss you like you’re the last breath of air on earth, kissing you like they’ve been drowning forever, and you’re the first gasp of air breaking through their lungs—a desperate, consuming need.

Their hands roaming over your body, keeping you in place, keeping you agonizingly close. You know that it will bruise, but you don’t mind. How can you when they’re kissing you with such fervor? You try and make some distance, but all you get is a warning nip in your lower lip. But oh, when their hands reach your face, they hold you so tenderly, like you’re a dream they’re afraid to let slip away.

And when it gets too much—their teeth pulling your lips, chasing after you in a guttural groan, you try to pull away. To just breathe, even if it’s for a second. But as soon as you do that they dive back in, pulling you flush against them, almost whimpering, mindless babbles.

“no no, no. pretty you don’t get to do that, don’t go away. come back here. i’m so, so fucking lucky to have you. so sweet, you’re so sweet for me.”

And then they finally pull away, a saccharine string of saliva connecting your lips to theirs. It’s honestly filthy, but all you can think about is breathing, and you’re breathing them in, their scent clouding your senses. Their forehead resting against yours and then they smile. They smile as if they haven’t completely mushed your thoughts.

“I love you, pretty girl.”

Revelation that the key to understanding Godzilla is that you must understand it is wrestling. It is wrestling. The good guy monsters like Godzilla, Anguirus, and Rodan are the Faces who you always root for because they’re YOUR GUYS. The bad guy monsters like Ghidorah and Gigan are the Heels who act like assholes and yell things like “it doesn’t matter what you think!”. The good humans like Miki and Serizawa and the Shobijin are the Jim Ross-style announcers and interviewers who comment on the match or chat with the wrestlers between fights. The bad humans and evil aliens are the corporate guys like Vince McMahon, and the giant robots like MechaGodzilla are what happens when they decide to get in the ring themselves. Rival kaiju/toku series like Gamera or Ultraman are rival wrestling companies and underground circuits. Baby Godzilla is Hornswoggle.

So I went and watch Rising last week. It's honestly just as good as a lot of people are saying it is.

It's one of those films where I think you get a loot out of it on a rewatch, because you notice little extra details in both the visuals and the character writing. I really appreciate that while it's very much a film for kids, there's a lot to get out of it.

Really hope the plans for the trilogy get greenlit.

I'm half tempted to start an Ultraman mini project for a side video, while the Funny Silver Giant Brainrot is still setting in. Obviously letting myself have some time to breathe after uploading a massive video earlier this week.

SPOILER-Did anyone else expect them to find out the mom was on the Kaiju Island? I mean, what they actually hinted at is even more awesome lol.
