Hiiiii, I’m curious about your Ultraman collection. Care to give me an info dump about all your cool stuff?
I'd love to! Here's a very brief overview of the collection thus far.
Tumblr media
This is the henshin/transformation device shelf. Starting from the top left and working across, there's the Dark Z Riser (from Ultraman Z), Saki's Gyro (Ultraman R/B), D-Flasher (Ultraman Decker), the Sparklence (Ultraman Tiga), and the Reiflasher (Ultraman Dyna). Those last two are tv-prop quality.
The next shelf down is entirely Ultraman Trigger stuff, including the Ancient, Dark, and GUTS Spark Lenses, and a bunch of Hyper Keys.
Below that is the Orb Ring and the Orb Calibur (From Ultraman Orb), and then the Geed Rizer, Ultra Capsules, King Sword, and the Neo Zero Eye (from Ultraman Geed).
Tumblr media
This is the old Ultra Monster Series shelf for figures 2012 and back. I have some vintage figures from the 70s mixed in there, all with the tags.
Tumblr media
This is the new Ultra Monster Series shelf, holding all of the smaller, less detailed figures from the new UMS line starting in 2013.
Tumblr media
Here is a big shot of the SH Figuarts shelves + the new and old Ultra Hero Series lines. The very top has New Gen DX-scale figures. The lower shelves have all the new Blazar stuff as well as some rarer boxed UHS figures.
Tumblr media
This one is kinda messy, I have to work on reorganizing them soon!
Left to right: Techtor Gear Zero, Ultrawoman Grigio, Ultraman Orb Thunder Breaster, Ultraman Geed (Royal Mega Master. Galaxy Rising, and Magnificent), Ultraman Regulos, Ultraman Ribut, Zetton, Gomora, Twin Tail, Ultraman Dyna and Ultraman Decker (With Baltan hiding behind them).

thoughts on geed royal mega master?
Ok, I thought the two-part episode introducing him was amazing!  The conflict between Riku and Belial inside of his heart and mind was really well handled and it finally gave Ultraman Geed his Big Damn Hero moment to truly become the lead of the series rather than be constantly upstaged by Ultraman Zero. This was the episode I had been waiting for all series.
However, I think you want my impression on the fusion form itself.
Tumblr media
I like it. I like the mantle, the Gold sections and even the weapon.  It is very regal as befits a form granted by Ultraman King.  The shoulderpads don’t bother me on this one because they serve a function and don’t stick up too far. The name is a little silly but I am not going to split hairs there. His powers are pretty great as well (though I won’t get into them too much to avoid massive spoilers) and though it might seem a little overpowered compared to a monster of the week, it was what was needed to deal with Ultraman Belial.
Overall, it’s a pretty great Final Form (if this is, indeed his Final Form) and I look forward to where the series goes from here now that Geed has been fully accepted by the population of the Earth and he’s seen as a real hero.
Also, his main body is purple.  I love purple heroes!

We are now down to the finale three episodes, and this time around Kei Fukuide prepares to launch his final attack! Riku is summoned to Okinawa to duel Kei, however he is unaware why it the location for their battle. Yet, Riku friends who in pursuit of him, slowly piece together this is a trap that he may not return from…
  Summary:
Laiha notices a letter from Riku explaining that he has left to battle Kei Fukuide. Furious at Riku’s decision, Laiha calls everyone to assist in locating where the battle may take place. AIB already has a suspicion that Riku is going to meet Kei at Okinawa, due to various maps found at Arie’s residence. The maps and additional notes indicate Kei needs to be at a specific location in Okinawa to receive some sort of power booth from his home world. Zena decides he will lead a small team, featuring Laiha, to Okinawa to stop Kei. Whereas, Moa will lead AIB with Zero and Reito, as a last line of defense if things go wrong.
Meanwhile in Okinawa, illusions of Kei lead Riku to their battlefield. Yet, each illusion reveals bits of information about Kei’s past; Planet Strum was a planet destroyed in a war, which Kei sees at fault with his own race’s weakness. Zena and Laiha are still in pursit, as Moa and the others slowly begin to pinpoint their desired location, Naka Gusuku castle. Riku finally arrives to Kei’s location and questions Kei’s decisions that lead them to this point in time. However, Kei expresses he was not fooled by Belial, and followed him for the power he sought. This leads the two to transform and conduct what maybe their last battle, as Kei basks in the light of his home world.
For every second Kei baths in the Strum’s light he grows stronger and larger, but Riku manages to counter each attack. Eventually, Riku summons enough power to defeat Kei. Then as Riku and the others attempt to capture Kei, Arie reappears from the dead! However, it is revealed to be Ultraman Belial, himself, possessing Arie’s corpse. Belial reveals he was hiding within Arie the entire time, waiting for his moment to steal Kei’s Strum Organs. Belial then takes his leave, as Kei has a mental breakdown and makes his escape. Laiha then takes the time scold Riku, for leaving without his friends help. Yet, unbeknownst to Riku or the others his father, Ultraman Belial assumes his new demonic form… Ultraman Belial Atrocious!
  My Thoughts:
Episode 23 “Strum’s Light” is a decent episode to kick-off the finale, and a lead in for the battle with Ultraman Belial Atrocious. To start off I like the beginning with Riku’s letter to Laiha explaining his reasoning to go alone, while it may be a stupid decision it is a heroic trope. I personally enjoy moments like these in almost any tokusatsu, because normally one can expect an awesome fight as well as great character development. What the viewer got was not entirely development towards Riku’s progression as a character, but development on Kei’s past. The use of illusions to tell the story of Planet Sturm, and lead Riku right to Kei’s location is wonderfully coordinated; the scenes feel more like a supernatural dream than guided messages.
Now, as for Riku and Kei’s fight, I found it to be great. However, I would not say that it tops the first two battles with Pedanium Zetton, which means it is my third favorite fight for this Belial Fusion Beast. Yet, the fight still manages to standout! For starters, the two are seemingly even at the beginning with Kei eventually overpowering Riku. There is a cool moment when Kei pushes Riku up against a mountain side, and furiously Riku throws a rock at him; I did not catch the rock throw during my first viewing of the bout, but once I did it added to my overall enjoyment. Then when Riku uses his shield to deflect Kei’s blast to become Magnificent, and tackle him down it was incredible. Magnificent form’s contribution to the fight is maybe my favorite part, since they both did the anime-trope simultaneous punch to one another. In addition, Geed is forced to use the Geed Claw in the form, which I think was a first for the form. Once Kei enlarged himself I found the resolve slightly underwhelming since Riku defeated swiftly.
Belial’s return is another interesting twist because I did not think he was possessing, or latched himself onto Arie; had the light on Kei’s back not been explained as his organs, I still would have believed it was Belial. The reveal is rather shocking especially since Belial is walking around in a corpse, and makes viewers wonder was he in control of Arie the entire time. In addition, Belial strips Kei of Sturm Organs and absorbs them into himself before taking his leaving. Belial’s departure is a little awkward because he just leaves, without lashing out at his son or the others. However, Kei’s mental breakdown at the betrayal is incredible to behold; I think Kei’s breakdown is one of the more emotional scenes seen within the last few episodes. When that one tear trickles down Kei’s face it does not make the heroes pity him, but the audience too. Yet, due to the preview for the next episode Kei seemingly will overcome this betrayal, and attack Reito’s family.
Honestly, I think this is wonderful set-up for the final two episodes! I like how it attempts to wrap-up most of Kei’s story before he eventually dies, or somehow redeemed; yet, I highly doubt Kei is truly redeemable though because of the various crimes he committed. The preview for Episode 24 excites me with all the action, but has me wondering where this is all leading to! Will this finally be the end of Belial? Will Kei die a hero, or as a villain? Also, will Moa be stuck in the friendzone?! Find out either in the next episode, Episode 24, or in the finale with Episode 25!

Riku (Ultraman Geed) passes on his Galaxy Rising Medals to Haruki
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ultraman Geed aka, Riku lets Haruki keep the Belial Medal along with Ginga, X and Orb Ultra Medals for a special attack or other fusions to comes, due to the fact that Ultraman Hikari had already fixed Riku's Geed Riser for Geed to acquire Primitive, Solid Burning, Acro Smasher, Magnificent, Royal Mega Master and Ultimate Final once again.
WHY DID YOU DO THAT, RIKU?!?!?! You could have just kept it so you can use them against any powerful kaijus and seijins if any of your Geed Riser forms don't work on them. But still, at least you still have your Z-Riser with you so you could use it as a weapon against them. So, Haruki.... since Geed entrusted his medals to you, USE THEM WELL, FOR ULTRA-SAKE!!!!!
Well, seeing that Haruki has Ginga, X and Orb Ultra Medals, it is highly likely that Ultraman Z could perform Galaxy Burst now seeing that Galaxy Rising is impossible as this form is only granted to Geed to access it. But it may be possible that Haruki and Ultraman Z can access more fusions now since he has these Medals given to him by Geed/Riku. Hmmm.... wonder what fusions will Z form next..... or Zero form next,.... or Geed form next with the current Ultra Medal collection we have in Haruki's Medal Holder and in wiki (Breaking the fourth wall of this review, lol), lmao.

Hey you know what I realized, you think it’s possible that Geed could also have the unique traits of the Ultramen his fusions are made of? You know like having Ultraman’s uniqe skin or Ultra Fathers Clairvoyance.
Hi!
I actually debunked this theory last year in this post with RMM used as an example:
Royal Mega Master: A Contention
This is likely due to the fact that the Capsules themselves can only contain a very limited amount of energy as explained by either REM or Kei
(Though that final scene of King being able to materialize from his own capsule can be attributed to nothing short of King’s own innate abilities or else it’s a MASSIVE plothole of the Geed series which has already alot of issues)
Thanks for the question!

Ultraman Geed only has four episodes left when including episode 22 among them. However, after this episode we come down to the final three. Now, Episode 22 “Repossession” seems to be the set-up for what seems to be a three-part finale; this is due to Kei commencing his plot to acquire the Alien Empera and Dark Lugiel Capsules…
  Summary:
Arie returns home where Kei appears to her, before he contacts AIB to hand over the Alien Empera and Dark Lugiel Capsules. In his message, Kei flaunts Arie as his hostage, and wishes Riku to exchange the Capsules to save Arie’s life. Zena is hesitatent to bring in Riku for the mission, but Riku easily complies as well as Laiha. However, AIB plans to set-up a sting operation to takedown Kei at the exchange. This operation forces Zena and Moa to pull Reito away from a very important meeting.
At the exchange, Kei has Arie hang from a construction tower as collateral. Riku proceeds to hand over the Capsules; where Kei explains he is now inheritor of Belial’s will, not Riku. In the middle of the exchange Zero appears to fight Kei, and he is joined by Zena. However, Zero is forced to rescue Arie, as the tower she is on collapses. Moa then takes Arie away, as Laiha rushes to assist Zena. Kei gets overwhelmed in the fight, and become a new Belial Fusion Beast, King Galactron. This transformations forces Riku and Zero to Ultra Rise to fight this new threat. King Galactron proves to a mighty opponent, and during the battle one of the blasts hit Moa’s AIB vehicle causing her to crash.
Geed and Zero assume to their strongest forms, and even then, are rivaled by Kei’s new strength. Laiha and Zena arrive to check on Moa, and Arie, but soon discover Arie is a part of Kei’s plan as she’s missing. In addition, Arie took the Ultra Capsules! Geed and Zero eventually defeat King Galactron, and pursue Kei who meets up with Arie. Arie present the Capsules to him, and confesses her love for him. However, Kei thanks Arie by killing her and reminding Riku, either one of them can bring forth “the end.” Within the next few days, Moa is seen to take Arie’s death seriously and blames herself. Whereas, Riku decides he will be the one to end it all…
  My Thoughts:
Episode 22 feels oddly paced then again, the entire series moves too dang fast. With the finale looming most of the events within the episode make sense. Kei needs to acquire the Ultra Capsules that AIB possess so he can ‘bring forth the end.’ However, we, the viewers, are not too sure what that ‘end’ is. The process to obtain the Capsules seemingly makes sense, and easily pulled off with the assistance from Arie. Now, what follows is not too surprising, by having Kei kill Arie. Yet, a part of me expected Kei to either kill Arie episodes from now, or she would die giving her life for him; I legitimately believed Arie would be character we would see all the way to the finale!
Now, Arie’s “early” death maybe the only shocking thing about the episode overall. Whereas, Arie’s infatuation with Kei is not shocking, as it has been oddly developed since her debut. Early on viewers see Arie’s interest in Kei as a method to become famous. Yet, viewers could also notice Arie had a psychotic disorder with the indication she loves Kei, or the destruction that follows. Arie love for Kei is truly a mysterious one, and I am unsure if it is left to be a mystery or it was unintentionally mismanaged. Furthermore, Moa’s sense of guilt for Arie’s death seemingly feels uncalled for however, because Moa is established to be a pure individual she must feel guilty. It is terrible to view because Moa’s friends, and the audience see Arie’s death, as something practically unavoidable due to her allegiance to Kei. To be honest, several fans as well as myself wanted this outcome!
Then as for the action, it is honestly the best part. I found all the fight sequences to be executed amazingly. Yet, Riku still does not seem to partake in the action, which I find odd seeing that Laiha has been training him. It makes me wonder if there is some unseen agreement that when Riku is not Ultraman Geed that he should reserve himself? The reason I wonder this is because Riku’s lack of involvement feels like an edict production places, so the other characters have something to do. Now, that is not uncalled of in series, but without an in-canon reason to leave Riku out makes it odd. However, seeing Zena, and Laiha fight Kei was worth it. In addition, I am glad production managed to fit King Galactron into the series; King Galactron was a stage-show character that several fans thought would not appear at all in the series. It is just unfortunate that this Belial Fusion Beast maybe the least seen of the four. Also, Ultraman Zero Beyond’s Twin Giga Break attack is the probably my favorite attack in the series thus far!
Never the less, I seriously hope the final three episodes do a lot for the series. Ultraman Geed has felt like it has just flown by, and questionably sustains itself; with all that said I want the final episodes to be fulfilling, and well-paced. I do not the finale to be action on top of action, especially if this is meant to be the conclusion to Ultraman Belial’s story. Yet, currently it is unsure how Belial will be revived from his previous battle with his son! Could it be that the light on Kei’s back is Belial recovering, or is it just Kei’s organs overloading from his new found power?
  Rating: 2.5 out of 5
