“My Thoughts Are Silent” ( «Мої думки тихі») is a Ukrainian 2019 comedy-drama film by director Antonio Lukich. Vadim is 22, works as a sound engineer and musician, encounters a lot of problems and has many setbacks. A Canadian company assigned him to record the sounds of various Ukrainian animals and a very rare bird, which dwells only in the Transcarpathian mountains of Ukraine. He’s ready to fulfill the assignment with enthusiasm and creativity, but his plans go awry when his problematic mother decides to tag along. Watch on Netflix

Apparently, ukrainian series "There will be people" are avaliable with english subtitles on Netflix! I personally haven't seen this show so I can't vouch for its quality, but the reviews seem to be very positive)

Synopsis from IMDB: "The series is built in the form of saga and depicts the turbulent periods of the beginning of the 20th century through the eyes of ordinary people: the First World War, the revolution, the emergence of Soviet regime. Each of the characters faced the changes in their own way through their concept of truth. However, all of them shared fundamental desire to live, love and find their own place in the new era."
