I thought that Kagekatsu(Kenshin's nephew and adopted son) being the older brother in the diary entries was a typo.
But it seems like they really made Kagekatsu Kenshin's brother. (Wouldn't Kagekatsu be quite old then, since Kenshin is supposed to be one of the older LIs???)
And there's Kagetora(Kenshin's adopted son and son of Hojo Ujiyasu) too. I suppose that he's not in Kenshin's route just for the sake of avoiding succession drama between the brothers.
Kiku isn't in Shingen's route for some reason. It would have been nicer if she was there. :')

Hakuoki x Sengoku Night Blood Crossover - A Fleeting Vision A Fortuitous Meeting with a Samurai Episode 4
One of the downsides of my old laptop is that I can't really run things on it, so I haven't been able to really play Warframe, and have instead been doing more translating... only one part remains now!
Also I think I pinched a nerve in my left leg so that sucks.
Anyway, enjoy!
Hakuoki x Sengoku Night Blood Crossover - A Fleeting Vision A Fortuitous Meeting with a Samurai Episode 4: A Change of Heart
Translation by KumoriYami
As soon as I received the information that Yakuma were inside the town, I immediately headed to Kenshin-san, who was by the town's gate.
Heroine: (Although I already have a full understanding of my powerlessness… but… over there!) Kenshin-san!
Uesugi Kenshin:...Why are you here. We're going to fight the Yakuma now, you stay in the town——
Heroine: Kenshin-san, please. Please let me come along.
Kenshin-san frowned slightly.
Heroine: The Uesugi Army is currently short on manpower, right? I should be able to help in some way.
The attacks from the Yakuma have been constant since yesterday, and Kagekatsu-kun and Kanetsugu-san were away from the army. It would not be easy to fill in the gap left by the two of them.
Uesugi Kenshin: Although what you say is true, it is not enough to justify me taking you with me.
Heroine: Just in case anything happens, my blood can be of use. Regardless of what it is, I want to help… please.
I sincerely looked at Kenshin-san, and lowered my head.
Uesugi Kenshin:...Can you promise me that you won't give us your blood under any circumstances and won't be reckless?
Heroine: Y-Yes...!
Amakasu Kagemochi: As expected, even Kenshin-sama can't convince you.
Uesugi Kenshin: Kagemochi...
Amakasu Kagemochi: I have explained to the visitors from another world that only we will be the ones heading to the battlefield this time.Because it would be too unreasonable to ask them to go fight. And just in case, I asked Kageie to watch them.
Uesugi Kenshin: Is that so. Let's go then.
---------------
As soon as we got to the town, you could hear the low roars of the Yakuma everywhere. The resentful roars kept on coming one after the other, and no matter how many times they were heard, they were so chillind that I inadvertently frowned.
Heroine: (At times like these, I really can't complain about not being able to fight alongside them…)
While l was telling myself that I was responsible for the rear support, I was pacifying the crowd of people who didn't know where to go and guided them into a safe direction.
Crowd: Run! The number of Yakuma is still increasing!
Heroine: It's safe over here: Please calm down!
Crowd: Uwah! A Yakuma has appeared!
Heroine: Huh?
Nagakura: Keep your head down! HEYAAAAA!
Just as I felt a shadow pass over my head, the Yakuma chasing after the crowd had fallen.
Naoe Kanetsugu: That strength... Hey, why are you here!?
Kanetsugu-san was about the chase after the man who had struck down the Yakuma when he noticed me, and stopped.
Heroine: It's because we're short on manpower than I'm helping.
Naoe Kanetsugu: Are you stupid…! There are enough people, go back to the castle right now!!
Uesugi Kagekatsu……In this situation, it would instead be more dangerous to have her go back.
Heroine: And I'm not going to go back. If there's something I can do, I want to do it.
Nagakura: Hey! I can just keep cutting these down, right!?
Naoe Kanetsugu:...Che, hold it! Don't act on your own! Listen, don't go charging straight into danger.
I nodded lightly, and Kanetsugu-san ran over to the man wearing the light blue haori.
Uesugi Kagekatsu:That was amazing… then he's one of their companions. There have been others helping as well.
Heroine: Really... that's great...
Uesugi Kagekatsu:That's why you should stay in a safe place… please.
Heroine: Nn, I understand. But Kenshin-san went to where there were the most Yakuma…
As soon as I looked in the direction Kenshin-san was in, Kagekatsu-san sighed slightly.
Uesugi Kagekatsu: There will be no problems with my father's skills, and.... their commander is rushing over there , so it'll be fine.
Kagekatsu-kun's calm words carried a strange sense of trust...
---------------
Upon noticing the silver light flashing in the corner of my vision, I realized that the monsters were falling one by one.
Each time the man at the front swung his tachi [it says "long sword", so...] a monster's body would split into two then disappear, like a ghost descending onto the world.
Kazama: You're fairly skilled.
Before I realized it, Kazama, who had been cutting the Yakuma down while by me, muttered in admiration.
Uesugi Kenshin: This place has been taken care of.
The man didn't even look at us and walked into the direction where there were more Yakuma. Despite how the fight just now had been quite fierce, he wasn't the slightest bit out of breath.
Kazama: There are still many things I want to ask about.
Hijikata: About the existence of the so-called Himemiko? I'm afraid that the explanation we heard is all we know.
And if you wanted to talk, you still had to wait until the Yakuma were defeated.
Truly fascinating, I whispered in in a voice that the others couldn't hear, and then brandished the sword in my hands again——
---------------
That night——all of the people who were believed to have been sumooned to Shinga by Himeko-sama gathered in the castle and a feast began.
Their leader, Hijikata-san, agreed to Kenshin-san's request, likely because he intended to deepen the exchanges between us.
Everyone had their own ways for drinking sake, though they had mostly been divided into two groups. One group was of people who were calm drinkers who enjoyed drinking in silence, while the other group was——
Toudou: Is this sake from Shinga? As expected, sake is delicious no matter where it's from!!
Nagakura: This is an opportunity we have to take advantage of!!
Toudou: Hey, Shinpat-san! Don't go stealing my sake while we're in this sort of place/Don't come to this sort of place and steal sake! [or something like that?]
Nagakura: Hahaha, a man should never let anyone take advantage of him!
Uesugi Kagekatsu: Please take my sake...
Toudou: Y-You... are seriously a good person/seriously what a good guy! Alright, let's each take half of this sake!
Uesugi Kagekatsu: No, I already...
Toudou: C'mon let's drink! Or is it that you don't want to drink sake with me!?
Naoe Kanetsugu: Hey! Kagekatsu said he wasn't going to drink anymore. Don't pour him more sake!
Nagakura: : Alright, alright, exactly what's wrong? Drinking requires everyone to be having a good time, don't you think so!
Naoe Kanetsugu: Don't talk about yourself! Wait, Kagekatsu!?
Uesugi Kagekatsu:...I drank it.
Toudou: Ooh——!This sake really tastes great!
Nagakura: Not bad, not bad! Things are starting to get interesting. Hey, Sano-san, it's almost your turn, right?
Harada: There's really nothing I can do about you. Today, I'll bring out a different level of energy than before.
Naoe Kanetsugu: HAAH!? What are you going to do!? Don't drag Kagekatsu into anything weird!?
Harada: Don't worry! This will be the best belly art!!
The aroma of wine in the great hall gradually thickened in the large hall, and in the same way, everyone’s voices grew proportionally louder.
HIjikata: You bastards! Show some respect!! Don’t go disgracing the Shinsengumi!!
Toudou: Wait, Hijikata-san! What are you doing! Give me back my sake!
I had never witnessed such a noisy scene before, even in my original world, and I couldn't help but stare.
Heroine:...Seriously ridiculous...
Yukimura: I understand your feelings very well... but this also makes me happy, everyone’s smiles have always cheered me up.。
Heroine:...I think I can understand that. (Although this aspect of everyone is somewhat surprising to me, I do think this feels fun to watch from the side…)
The great hall was filled with a mix of laughter cursing/scolding, and the banquet continued late into the night…
---to be concluded in part 5 here---
Will edit later. Finished this chapter around 3:10 a.m.

The Hunted (1995)
“I can’t keep running away. If anything I’d learn from her is that you’ve got to accept your fate with courage.”
A tech executive, Paul Racine (Christopher Lambert) goes to Nagoya to close a business deal with a Japanese company. Following the success, Racine declined his two colleagues invite to have fun to celebrate as he simply wants to retreat to the hotel bar to drink before turning in.
Until he met Kirina (Joan Chen) at the bar where they chat for a while before heading out to see a traditional Japanese performance. He began to fall for her and wishes to see her again the next day but she politely declines. Racine was on his way out when he remembered he left something.
Upon returning he witness a group of Ninja trying to kill her. He tried to stop them but the next thing he knew, he woke up in the hospital where he was questioned by a detective before he was visited by a man named Takeda who believes his life is in danger for having seen the Ninja (John Lone).
They offered to give him shelter but Racine declines feeling assured that the presence of the police officers at the hospital is enough. He changed his mind later when he was almost killed by a group of Ninjas who kill every single police officers on sight in the middle of the night trying to kill Racine.
Racine raced against time to save his own life as he tries to find Takeda. He learns that Takeda (Yoshio Harada) and his wife, Mieko (Yoko Shimada) are descendants of a Samurai whose clan was almost destroyed by the same Ninja clan hundreds of years ago, and now wants to destroy the clan for good.
youtube
It’s interesting that they based the Samurai clan that of Takeda Clan. While the symbol is the same, the colour is different as the Takeda Clan is red.
Interestingly, in history, Takeda Shingen was rumoured to have been killed by a Ninja just when he was making a bold move towards Kyoto which could’ve turn the tide of the war against Oda Nobunaga. The only formidable Daimyo left in the way of Oda’s expansion was Uesugi Kenshin who also dies and rumoured to have been killed by a Ninja as well. Some would say it was Oda’s doings.
While the Takeda Clan was weakened after the death of Shingen and his son, Katsuyori who was defeated by Oda. His daughter survives and marries Kenshin’s son, Uesugi Kagekatsu. So I’d like to think that in this movie the Takeda bloodline continues which explains why the character, Takeda, wants to wipe out the same Ninja clan, fearing them as a threat even today.
The movie is quite “real” in a sense that Christopher Lambert is not the typical knight in armour to the rescue as the character, Takeda, is the one who does all the real fighting with the Ninja. Christopher Lambert’s character is more of a supporting role, helping out where he could, aiding the Takeda in defeating the Shinobi, which I think is realistic than some hollywood movies.
I mean you couldn’t expect an office worker with no combat experience to defeat the entire Ninja clan who had trained their entire lives just by training with a Katana for a week right? While the story takes place in Nagoya, the second half takes place at Hikone Castle. If you like the 80s Sho Kosugi Revenge of the Ninja and Michael Dudikoff American Ninja, this one is for you.

Warriors Orochi: The Recollective Redux Part 8.1: Jin - Sima Zhao Story A
So now, we move onto the Jin Sima Zhao story. In this story, Sima Zhao initially serves Orochi with his family before his disapproval over their ways leads him to rebel and go his own path. The original version initially showed the first four stages of both Jin stories being the same from Sima Yi and Sima Zhao's perspectives, but this version splits them into their own stories and adds original stages to fill the games. The new stages took me some time to write, so I hope you enjoy them.
Initial Characters: Sima Zhao, Wang Yuanji, Jia Chong
Chapter 1: Battle of Mt. Kasuga Castle 春日山城の戦い (uses SW3XL Otate Rebellion map)
Orochi Army vs. Resistance Army Allied characters: Sima Yi, Sima Shi, Sima Zhao, Zhang Chunhua Enemy characters: Shingen Takeda, Kenshin Uesugi, Kanetsugu Naoe, Kagekatsu Uesugi
Unlocked characters: Zhu Ran
Following their defeat at the Wuzhang Plains, Sima Yi surrendered to the Orochi Army and his son, Sima Zhao, surrendered with him. Sima Zhao did not seem pleased with his army working for Orochi as he disagreed with the ways of his family, yet he reluctantly obeyed his orders. One of his missions was to combat a unit of the Resistance Army led by Shingen Takeda and Kenshin Uesugi.
Your main objective is to fend off the Takeda and Uesugi cavalry in the central castle town with the help of pyrocannons. The enemy generals will be located clockwise in the northern castle town, Otate, the southern garrison and Mt. Kasuga Castle. Defeat Shingen and Kenshin to win the battle. They will escape to fight another day.
In the aftermath, Zhu Ran, a captive of Orochi, will be released and assigned to Sima Zhao’s army.
Chapter 2: Battle of Izumo 出雲の戦い (uses SW3XL Original Career Mode map)
Orochi Army vs. Resistance Army Allied characters: Sima Zhao, Wang Yuanji, Jia Chong, Zhu Ran Enemy characters: Takatora Tōdō, Masanori Fukushima, Kiyomasa Katō, Okuni, Goemon Ishikawa
Unlocked characters: Takatora Tōdō
Some Resistance armies were formidable and would not topple easily, but other Resistance armies were disorganised and prone to petty squabbles. That was the case for a Resistance army led by Takatora Tōdō, who took refuge in Izumo following a defeat at the hands of the Orochi Army. He was joined by Masanori Fukushima and Kiyomasa Katō when Sima Zhao’s armies arrived to suppress them, forcing their armies to take up arms and make a stand…
When the battle begins, Masanori and Kiyomasa’s officers will besiege the main camp in the centre from the southwest and the castle town in the southeast. Accompany Zhu Ran as he prepares a fire attack on the castle town. Okuni and Goemon will appear three times in the north, west and southwest, soliciting donations for the shrine, retreating each time they are defeated.
With the enemy morale crippled by the fire attack, Masanori and Kiyomasa are defeated and they retreat. Takatora decides to charge on Sima Zhao’s army. Defeat Takatora to win the battle.
In the aftermath, Takatora will voluntarily join Sima Zhao, impressed with his might in battle, but he refuses to serve Orochi. Sima Zhao sympathises with Takatora’s sentiment and wonders if he has the strength to turn against his father and Orochi…
Chapter 3: Battle of Zitong 梓潼の戦い (uses DW8 Tianshui map)
Orochi Army vs. Resistance Army Allied characters: Sima Yi, Sima Shi, Sima Zhao, Zhang Chunhua,Zhuge Dan, Wang Yuanji Enemy characters: Guanqiu Jian, Wang Ling, Gongsun Yuan, Wen Qin, Wen Yang, Ma Dai
Unlocked characters: Wen Yang, Ma Dai
In his previous missions, Sima Yi had suppressed the Cao imperial family and the Ashikage shogunate under Orochi’s banner. Responding to the threat, officers like Gongsun Yuan and Guanqiu Jian gathered together in preparation to raise an army against Orochi. Sima Yi set off to their base in Zitong to supress the rebellion, but they were surrounded by many rebel officers…
The Orochi Army begins in the centre, surrounded by enemy officers. Your mission is to defeat the four enemy generals in any order, with the ultimate objective being to defeat all enemy officers.
Guanqiu Jian will be in the northern castle and his officers will charge you when you enter. Wang Ling is in the western castle and he will set fire to the castle when you or your allies enter. Defeat Wang Ling and his officers to extinguish the fire.
Gongsun Yuan will be in the south and he will send units to ambush you as you approach his camp. Wen Qin will be in the eastern castle and when you or your allies approach it, his officers led by Wen Hu will attack you, then Wen Yang will fight alongside his father.
After all four missions have been completed, Ma Dai will arrive with reinforcements in the far-northwestern garrison. Defeat him to win the battle.
In the aftermath, Wen Yang and Ma Dai will both join Sima Zhao, having been captured during the battle. It took some persuasion from Sima Zhao to save them from execution.
Chapter 4: Battle of Kizugawa 木津川口の戦い (uses SW3 map)
Orochi Army and Da Ji Army vs. Resistance Army Allied characters: Sima Yi, Sima Shi, Sima Zhao, Wang Yuanji, Deng Ai, Zhong Hui Third-party characters: Da Ji, Motonari Mōri, Takakage Kobayakawa Enemy characters: Motochika Chōsokabe, Koshōshō, Gracia, Muneshige Tachibana, Magoichi Saika
Unlocked characters: Motochika Chōsokabe, Muneshige Tachibana
An army was gathering on the ships at Kizugawa. The army was led by none other than Motochika Chōsokabe, a notable naval leader. By quietly building his army near the sea, Motochika could stay independent of Orochi’s rule until he was ready to rise in rebellion. Joining him was Magoichi Saika with his Saika Renegades and Muneshige Tachibana, who was left wandering after the Shimazu and Tachibana clans were scattered from Orochi’s attack. Orochi ordered Sima Yi and Motonari Mōri to head to Kizugawa and suppress the rebellion. Accompanying them was Da Ji, who was quite interested in seeing Sima Yi’s collaboration with Motonari…
In this battle, some of the Resistance Army soldiers will be powered-up due to being seduced by Koshōshō. She will send two waves of officers at the Orochi Army before advancing with the third wave.
Sima Yi and Motonari concoct a plan. They decide to use Koshōshō as a hostage in order to lure the enemy officers into rescuing her, then when they get close enough to the main camp, they will set a fire. First, defeat Koshōshō and capture her, then guide the messenger to the ship in the centre, where Koshōshō’s capture will be announced to the enemy. After this, quickly head back to the main camp and wait for the enemy to gather. The fire attack will then be triggered and the morale of the enemy officers will drop dramatically. Clear the officers in front of the main camp.
Muneshige Tachibana will arrive with reinforcements in the southeast while Magoichi Saika will ambush the main camp to save Koshōshō. Gracia will charge at the main camp as well from the northwest. Defeat Motochika to win the battle.
In the aftermath, Magoichi, Koshōshō and Gracia manage to escape while Motochika and Muneshige are assigned to Sima Zhao’s army, which he accepts.
Chapter 5: Battle of Xiangping 襄平の戦い (uses DW8 map)
Jin Army vs. Orochi Army Allied characters: Sima Zhao, Wang Yuanji, Jia Chong, Wen Yang, Motochika Chōsokabe Enemy characters: Sima Yi, Sima Shi, Zhang Chunhua, Zhong Hui, Zhuge Dan, Hisahide Matsunaga, Masamune Date, Kojūrō Katakura, Da Ji, Mitsunari Ishida, Dong Zhuo, Keiji Maeda, Diamondback
Sima Zhao had made his decision. With the number of allies he gained from the previous battles, he was ready to turn his back on Orochi and his father. He assembled his army and left the Orochi camp. When Orochi heard of this, he sent Sima Yi to pursue them. Sima Zhao was pursued to Xiangyang, where he was determined to fight his father…
The Jin Army will directly attack the Orochi Army by ambushing them. Join them by advancing south and attacking Zhuge Dan’s unit. Motochika will advance east and attack Zhong Hui.
Hisahide Matsunaga will then set fire to the east and west. Defeat him to extinguish the fires. Head south to defeat the rest of the Sima family. Da Ji will then arrive with reinforcements. Defeat Sima Yi and Da Ji to win the battle.
Chapter 6: Battle of Ōtsu Castle 大津城の戦い (uses SW3 Oshi Castle map)
Jin Army vs. Hōjō Army Allied characters: Motochika Chōsokabe, Takatora Tōdō, Masanori Fukushima, Kiyomasa Katō Enemy characters: Ujiyasu Hōjō, Kai, Lady Hayakawa, Kotarō Fūma
Unlocked characters: Kai, Ujiyasu Hōjō, Lady Hayakawa
The Hōjō Army were one of the first clans to fall to Orochi as he swept through the lands. With their leader, Ujimasa Hōjō, and many of their officers surrendering to Orochi, their past leader, Ujiyasu Hōjō, led his remaining officers into exile. Forced out of their home at Odawara, the remants of the Hōjō made their refuge at Ōtsu Castle. Motochika Chōsokabe heard of this and suggested to Sima Zhao that they join forces with the Hōjō remants. Sima Zhao agreed and Motochika set out for Ōtsu Castle, where the Hōjō forces mistook them for the Orochi Army…
In this battle, you need to defeat the enemy officers and make your way to Ōtsu Castle. Upon entering the top floor of Ōtsu Castle, Ujiyasu will be revealed to be Kotarō Fūma in disguise, having decided to come back to protect his former clan on a whim. All Hōjō officers, defeated or surviving, will reappear and charge at your main camp alongside Ujiyasu. Defeat Kotarō to escape Ōtsu Castle, then aim to defeat Ujiyasu while defending your main camp.
Following his defeat, Kotarō will leave again to follow the winds of chaos. Ujiyasu will be convinced that Motochika is not part of the Orochi Army, and so, he and his army join the Jin forces.
Chapter 7: Battle of Jiange 剣閣の戦い (uses DW8 Hanzhong map)
Jin Army vs. Lu Bu Army → Orochi Army Allied characters: Sima Zhao, Wen Yang, Ma Dai, Zhu Ran, Kai, Muneshige Tachibana Enemy characters: Lu Bu, Lu Lingqi, Keiji Maeda, Dong Zhuo, Jia Xu, Kiyomori Taira, Sima Yi, Sima Shi, Deng Ai, Zhong Hui, Zhuge Dan, Zhang Chunhua
With the amount of allies he gained from previous battles, Sima Zhao was ready to take the fight to Orochi. He led the Jin Army to Orochi’s main camp at Koshi Castle. But on the way, they were stopped by Lu Bu at Jiange.
Start in the centre of the battlefield. Firstly, advance to the north and eliminate Dong Zhuo’s army. There will be cannons in the northeast. Defeat Xu Rong in order to deactivate them. Next, advance to the south and defeat Lu Bu’s officers to isolate him, then defeat Lu Bu.
After this, Kiyomori and Sima Yi will arrive with the rest of the Orochi Army in the southern forest caves. As you advance, Kiyomori will unleash poison gas into the southeastern area. Defeat the four sorcerers in the area to clear it.
Finally, advance to the enemy camp and defeat Kiyomori and Sima Yi to win the battle.
Chapter 8: Battle of Duangu 段谷の戦い (uses DW7 map)
Jin Army and Wei Army vs. Orochi Army Allied characters: Sima Zhao, Wang Yuanji, Jia Chong, Wen Yang, Ujiyasu Hōjō, Lady Hayakawa, Takatora Tōdō Third-party characters: Xiahou Yuan, Xiahou Ba, Guo Huai Enemy characters: Kiyomori Taira, Sima Yi, Himiko, Sun Wukong, Sima Shi, Deng Ai, Zhong Hui, Zhuge Dan, Zhang Chunhua, Masamune Date, Kojūrō Katakura, Motonari Mōri, Takakage Kobayakawa, Hisahide Matsunaga, Kojirō Sasaki, Dodomeki, Gyūki
Despite their best efforts, the Orochi Army were unable to completely repel the Resistance as they were able to get through to Orochi’s main camp at Koshi Castle. Sima Yi along with Kiyomori Taira, Orochi’s secret weapon, were ordered to send reinforcements, however Sima Zhao managed to intercept them at Duangu, wanting to settle the score with his father.
Wen Yang will advance through the west, engaging Hisahide and Kojirō while Takatora will advance through the valleys in the centre, not knowing of enemy forces atop the cliffs. Follow either route or advance along the cliffs and cover Takatora’s advance by defeating the Date and Mōri enemy units.
Upon reaching the northern area, Himiko will summon clay effigies while Sun Wukong will summon doubles of himself. Sima Yi’s army will also begin advancing from the northeast. Defeat Kiyomori and Sima Yi to win the battle.
In the aftermath, Sima Zhao receives word that Orochi has been defeated at Koshi Castle. Kiyomori and Sima Yi decide to withdraw and regroup their forces, but Sima Zhao’s newfound confidence drives him to give chase to them…

FunFact: Nagao Kagetora may've been a woman! some records claim that they were the aunt of Uesugi Kagekatsu. also some sources say he died of colon cancer, other sources say she died of ovarian cancer, and a few sources say they died from being stabbed in the bum from a toilet ninja (no, i'm not joking)
Oops I should answer some asks. lmao. every time I’m at a keyboard I forget.
This actually came up in stream right around the time this was sent so it’s wild the psychic vibes of ‘maybe was actually a woman’ Kagetora had permeated the air so thoroughly it manifested twice out of the blue on different platforms. Anyway yes I was aware but thank you for spreading the good word.
Also, you have to be very careful of butt-stabbing ninjas. Everyone’s on the look out for backstabbing, but there’s other equally vulnerable points on the body.

Sakura has prepared an appropriate evening for her and Kenshin, sake and a meal prepared by her for the two of them. Upon him joining her, she smiles softly. "Happy Valentines Day, Kenshin. Care for a drink?
Kenshin did not require anything of Sakura but her companionship to be content, though the carefully prepared meal and the sake they both liked to drink was certainly appreciated.
He had, to always remind him of her, planted more cherry blossom trees around the castle. But that was not his gift to her. Rather, he had found a hairpin from his mother. A beautiful yet simple one that he felt would suit Sakura, complimentary to her. Lovely for formal occasions or to add a touch of elegance to more casual wear. But more than useful, sentimental. Kagekatsu, too, approved of giving it to Sakura. He would have done so sooner had he known where it was.
So, as he smiled and poured a drink for them both, he thanked her for everything she had done. Not just the meal and the drinks, but everything, everything since they had first met. And then he slid the box over to her.
Kenshin could not wait for the day her name would be inked into the records of the Uesugi Clan, marking down for the people of Echigo to know generations into the future that Uesugi Kenshin was lucky enough to become her husband.

An Interesting Marriage
Few rivalries are as famous as that of Uesugi Kenshin and Takeda Shingen. The war between the Uesugi and Takeda clans has been dramatized across every kind of media you can imagine throughout the centuries. But, here is a fun fact you probably didn’t know. After the deaths of these two titans of the warring states period a marriage was carried out between their clans! The year after Kenshin’s death, which is six years after Shingen’s death, his successor Uesugi Kagekatsu was married to Shingen’s daughter Kiku-hime! The marriage was agreed too and arranged by Shingen’s successor, his son Takeda Katsuyori.

Kenshin took a deep breath in, his shoulders visibly tensing as he listened to Yona speak about her past. She endured things no child should have to endure. He did get asked, now and then, if he intended to marry.
In a time when the country was at war, no, he could not put a target like that on the back of someone he loved. He refused to allow himself to get too close to anyone new. It was bad enough that his sister’s son, now adopted as his own son, was next in line for the Uesugi title and thus a prime target. If he were simply a low-rank warrior, but still his son, the anxiety would not be lessened.
It truly felt like a double-edged sword. Kagekatsu was his heir, and thus a strong political target on and off of the battlefield. Kagekatsu was a warrior, meaning he would be on the battlefield and exposed to more danger than he would have been if he were simply a scholar who stayed inside studying books, but one the other hand… it meant he knew how to defend himself.
“You were protecting your people. You are protecting yourself. He would have every right to be upset, to wish you did not need to, but he would be a fool not to be proud of you. I may regret the lives I have taken, but we should never regret protecting what is important to us. Losing your mother and almost losing you… I understand why he was scared. But we cannot let our fear rule us. He did not fail to love you, but he failed to guide you and prepare you for your future because of that fear.”
As they got closer and closer to the temple, however, and Yona mentioned hearing things… Kenshin stepped in front of the them, blocking their path. He readied himself to draw his sword, listening intently.
His ears moved side to side picking up on sounds as he slowly crept further up the stairs, trying to see if there were any threats.. After a few minutes, he relaxed, turning back to Yona and Kagekatsu.
“I do not hear, see, or smell anything unusual.”
For Yona, however, several female voices could be heard further up the stairs, talking about someone named Seishin. The air would grow heavy, as if it were harder to breathe, and the moment she crossed beneath the torii gate, the shrine changed. Instead of the empty shrine, devoid of people, she saw coming up the path, this one was quite lively. Bird songs, music, people talking. A few women in shrine maiden’s attire were walking across the main path toward some smaller buildings when they spotted her, coming up to greet her.
“Welcome back! Did you finish gathering the herbs we needed?” one of them asked, and if Yona were to look down at her hands…
She was holding a basket of plants. And wearing the same shrine maiden clothes as they were?
“You are right.” She smiled softly realizing his words were completley right and glad she realized this now. “Thank you.” She commented against with a kind smile. The princess watched intently as Lord kenshin held his hands out in order to stop his son and she from moving any further, Yona could still hear the sound of running water as She was bit perplexed why the others couldn’t . But just as she was about to tell Kenshin what she was hearing it seems the Atmosphere Shattered into a Abysal void. No horse or Men were near her now? “Hello?” Fear slowly tremebled upon her heart as the world was shifting around her. unsure what had happened or where the lord and Kagekatsu has went off too, The dragon let out a soft temble of a sigh. should she traverse further and wait until this vision melted. However despite her questionings, the eagerness of curiosity began to flutter around her as the sounds a female came closer to the clearning. the air was heavy and Odd, but despite this a yearing in her soul forced her to step up further and further om the odd occurence. CLICK ... CLICK... CLICK. her footsteps eched beneth her as she now stepped through the once old and worn out tori gate.
“!!??” With a heavy filled Breaths She moved even further. Shesaw people, a ton of people mostly women dressed in fine clothes, the old shrine was now sparking and lively. . A soilence of awestrucked gasped her to marvel at the beutify within. however all this was paused as she was approached by another. “Herbs?” she thought in her head.
“Im sorry I think you... “ suddenly she looked in her hands as a basket bloom with herbs were craddled into her arms. “I think your absolutly right I completely spaced what you were asking.” her voice seemed diffrent as she was getting confused.
“Umm here they are.” She handed the female the basket. . wait her clothes.. the basket, what in Hiryuu was going on here? Despite her completely odd situation Yona played along as she followed the woman up the stairs and played the role she was ment to play.

Chapter 9: Battle of Luosang Village 楼桑村の戦い
Coalition Army and Yellow Turbans vs. Dong Zhuo Army Allied characters: Sakon Shima Third-party characters: Zhang Jiao, ??? Enemy characters: Dong Zhuo, Goemon Ishikawa
Unlocked character: Zhang Jiao
Sakon Shima walks in a village. He decides to visit Shingen Takeda, but he sees an explosion up ahead. Dong Zhuo is attacking the Yellow Turbans led by Zhang Jiao. As Zhang Jiao cowers in fear, Sakon jumps in to save the day…
Following the defeat of Orochi, numerous skirmishes continued to break out across the land. Lu Bu, Masamune Date and Cao Cao all mobilised their armies in an attempt to seize power. On top of all this, Dong Zhuo suddenly made a play for power. Sakon Shima had to face Dong Zhuo’s army and rescue Zhang Jiao…
The Zhang Jiao Army 張角軍 is known as the Yellow Turbans 黄巾党 in this version.
Defeat Goemon and Dong Zhuo’s troops to rescue the Yellow Turban officers. Additional troops will arrive to assist them.
A mysterious man will arrive to assist Zhang Jiao. If Sakon reaches the man, he will only introduce himself as a friend. Defeat Dong Zhuo to win the battle.
In the aftermath, Zhang Jiao will thank Sakon for his “miracle from the heavens”. Sakon asks Zhang Jiao if he knows the mysterious man, but Zhang Jiao does not.
Sakon will comment that they are heavily outnumbered compared to the other armies in the land. Officers such as Musashi Miyamoto, Toyohisa Shimazu, Yoshihiro Shimazu, Xu Huang, Kanbei Kuroda, Huang Zhong, Guan Ping and Muneshige Tachibana will join him.
Chapter 10: Battle of Ji Province 冀州の戦い (uses DW5 Yellow Turban map)
Coalition Army vs. Da Ji Army Allied characters: Xu Huang, Musashi Miyamoto, Muneshige Tachibana, Zhang Jiao Enemy characters: Da Ji, Himiko, Kojirō Sasaki, Hisahide Matsunaga
Unlocked characters: Yukimura Sanada, Shingen Takeda, Kojirō Sasaki
Dong Zhuo and his army were left with no choice but to retreat. As Sakon went to visit Shingen, he wondered if the mysterious man from the last battle was driving him towards something.
Sakon comments that they need the assistance of Shingen, Kenshin and Nobunaga to defeat Orochi. He decides to start by talking with Shingen. In the meantime, Xu Huang and Musashi are attacked while they are training. They find Da Ji, along with a mysterious girl…
After defeating Kojirō Sasaki at the eastern altar, enemy ambush troops will appear at the central altar or in the southeastern area depending on where you go. Hisahide Matsunaga will appear in the opposite area as reinforcements.
When Himiko arrives in the south, Muneshige Tachibana will appear in place of Gao Sheng to stop her, but she will escape to the west as enemy reinforcements arrive to assist her (instead of later on in the original). As Himiko arrives in the west, however, Zhang Jiao will appear in place of He Yi to stop her. Defeat Da Ji and Himiko to win the battle.
In the aftermath, Kojirō will join Musashi and Xu Huang. Meanwhile, Sakon meets with Shingen, who agrees to lend assistance to him.
Chapter 11: Rescue at Hasedō 長谷堂救出戦

Sakon tells Shingen that he is also asking for help from Kenshin. Yukimura Sanada will report that Kanetsugu Naoe is under attack from forces unknown. Shingen suggests to Sakon that this is a wonderful opportunity. Sakon heads out with Yukimura.
Kojirō Sasaki will appear in place of Zhang Jiao in this battle.
When Sakon reaches Kanetsugu in the flaming forest, the mysterious man from Luosang Village will arrive to reveal that the fire is an illusion. He reveals the position of the sorcerers causing it. Defeat them to extinguish the fire. The man will introduce himself as Fu Xi. He also states that Sun Wukong is also from the mystic realm like himself, working for a half-man, half-demon, Kiyomori Taira, to recruit troops for his army. Their plan is to revive Orochi.
Break through the northern gate out of the forest and defeat Sun Wukong to win the battle.
In the aftermath, Kanetsugu takes Sakon to Kenshin. He agrees to join Sakon along with the others. Fu Xi also complements Sakon for uniting the Takeda and Uesugi, saying that he is the one who can stop Orochi’s resurrection. He also joins Sakon as atonement for “testing” him.
Chapter 12: Battle of Changban 長坂の戦い
Coalition Army vs. Date-Da Ji Army Allied characters: Shingen Takeda, Kanetsugu Naoe Enemy characters: Masamune Date, Da Ji, Motonari Mōri, Keiji Maeda, Kojūrō Katakura, Takakage Kobayakawa
Sakon suggests having Masamune join his army along with Nobunaga. However, Kanetsugu believes that Masamune is still loyal to Orochi. Sakon decides to have Shingen set off for Changban in order to convince Masamune to join them.
Motonari Mōri will appear in place of Sima Yi in this battle and therefore, will not be unlocked when the battle is cleared in this version. Takakage Kobayakawa will appear in place of Dōkyū Yamagami in the ambush unit alongside Kojūrō Katakura.
In the aftermath, Shingen talks to Masamune, but he declines the offer, saying that no one has been able to keep the peace since Orochi’s death. Shingen gives the bad news to Sakon, who then remembers that there is someone that they can ask. Kanetsugu reports that Lu Bu and Kiyomori have joined forces and are laying waste to the men of Wu. Huang Zhong, Yoshihiro and Kanbei offer to assist them.
Chapter 13: Battle of Liang Province 涼州の戦い
Coalition Army and Lu Meng Army vs. Lu Bu Army Allied characters: Kanbei Kuroda, Yoshihiro Shimazu, Huang Zhong Third-party characters: Lu Meng, Gan Ning Enemy characters: Lu Bu, Sun Wukong, Diaochan, Chen Gong, Lu Lingqi
Unlocked characters: Lu Meng, Gan Ning
Lu Bu and Kiyomori had joined forces to attack Liang Province, which was being defended by the warriors of Wu. Kanbei set off to Liang Province along with two veteran warriors to save the Wu Army, for if they were rescued, their assistance could be procured.
Kanbei Kuroda appears in place of Sima Yi for this battle. Han Dang will be replaced by another Wu generic officer when reinforcements arrive.
Lu Lingqi and Hou Cheng will appear with Chen Gong’s reinforcements when they arrive.
In the aftermath, Lu Meng and Gan Ning will join Sakon’s army on behalf of Wu.
Chapter 14: Battle of Hulao Gate 虎牢関の戦い
Coalition Army and Toyotomi Army vs. Taira Army Allied characters: Katsuyori Takeda, Sakon Shima, Guan Ping, Toyohisa Shimazu Third-party characters: Hideyoshi Toyotomi, Nene, Masanori Fukushima, Kiyomasa Katō, Hanbei Takenaka, Mitsunari Ishida Enemy characters: Kiyomori Taira, Diamondback, Sun Wukong, Hisahide Matsunaga
Unlocked characters: Hideyoshi Toyotomi, Nene, Mitsunari Ishida, Hanbei Takenaka, Kiyomasa Katō, Masanori Fukushima
Sakon moved to the next phase of his plan. He set off with Guan Ping and Toyohisa Shimazu to gain the cooperation of Hideyoshi Toyotomi. They spot Kiyomori and Dong Zhuo up ahead at Hulao Gate.
As I stated previously, Nobunaga Oda originally appeared in both the Wei and Samurai Warriors stories for Part B, which is illogical and it robs Mitsunari Ishida of any relevance; in addition, it also robs Hideyoshi Toyotomi of prominence as he was only seen in the original games as an underling of Nobunaga. As such, Nobunaga and Nō only appear in the Wei story, leaving Hideyoshi and Mitsunari for the Samurai Warriors story.
Zhang Ren does not appear in this battle. Toyohisa Shimazu and Yoshihisa Shimazu will swap places in this battle, meaning the former will be defending the main camp alongside Guan Ping while the latter advances with Sakon.
The Hōjō officers among the enemy are replaced by Mōri officers and Hisahide Matsunaga will appear in place of Dong Zhuo.
When the Toyotomi Army arrives, Mitsunari Ishida, Masanori Fukushima and Kiyomasa Katō will appear alongside Hideyoshi Toyotomi, Nene and Hanbei Takenaka.
In the aftermath, Hideyoshi joins Sakon’s army. Sakon asks him to assist Mitsunari and Kenshin at Baidi Castle.
Chapter 15: Battle of Baidi Castle 白帝城の戦い
Coalition Army vs. Taira Army Allied characters: Kenshin Uesugi, Kagekatsu Uesugi, Aya, Mitsunari Ishida, Masanori Fukushima, Kiyomasa Katō, Hideyoshi Toyotomi, Nene, Hanbei Takenaka, Hideie Ukita, Muneshige Tachibana, Lu Meng, Gan Ning Enemy characters: Kiyomori Taira, Sun Wukong, Dong Zhuo, Kotarō Fūma
The alliance to prevent the resurrection of Orochi was finally complete. In response, Kiyomori quietly concentrated his forces at Baidi Castle. Believing that Kiyomori was now attempting to revive Orochi, Sakon immediately ordered Hideyoshi and Kenshin to attack Baidi Castle…
Kenshin, Kagekatsu and Aya will advance to Baidi Castle from the east, Mitsunari, Masanori and Kiyomasa will advance from the south and Hideyoshi, Nene and Hanbei will advance from the west. Muneshige Tachibana, Lu Meng and Gan Ning will appear as the ambush troops engaging Dong Zhuo’s officers in the central path to the northwest.
Defeat Kiyomori to win the battle, but he will say that it is too late…
In the aftermath, Sakon is depressed over his failure to prevent Orochi’s resurrection, but Fu Xi convinces Sakon to put his final plan in place to defeat Orochi. Shingen accepts Sakon’s offer to join him again on the battlefield.
Chapter 16: Battle of Sekigahara 関ヶ原の戦い
Coalition Army vs. Orochi Army Allied characters: Shingen Takeda, Sakon Shima, Fu Xi Enemy characters: Orochi X, Da Ji, Masamune Date, Kojūrō Katakura, Hisahide Matsunaga, Motonari Mōri, Takakage Kobayakawa
Unlocked characters: Kiyomori Taira
Some variations have been made for the Chapter 16 battles against Orochi X. In each faction’s version, they will fight four of Orochi’s main generals. In this version of the battle, those generals will be Da Ji, Masamune Date, Hisahide Matsunaga and Motonari Mōri.
Orochi had been resurrected and was surrounded by Da Ji and Masamune. The final battle lay ahead at Sekigahara…
Hisahide Matsunaga will appear in place of Keiji Maeda with his sneak attack unit in the northwest. At the same time, Motonari Mōri and Takakage Kobayakawa will also appear with their sneak attack unit in the centre. Due to the fog around Sekigahara, both sneak attack units will reveal themselves as they approach the main camp.
Defeat Da Ji and the officers outside the enemy camp, then enter the camp and defeat Orochi X to win the battle.
