THAT LAST CHAPTER!!!!???!!!!! SO BEAUTIFUL!!!! THE DIALOGUE IS INSANE, THE COLORS, THE LITTLE DETAILS AND HIDDEN THOUGHTS THE CHARACTERS HAVE, I COULD SPENT HOURS TALKING ABOUT IT.

But... i won't (at least for now) because there is another thing that i wanted to talk about that this new chapter made me think, the artistic improvement of the oopsie!omens comic, specially on the designs!!

Let's start with Azazel's owl forehead. Yes. His forehead. That's a very important topic for me, the way his forehead is drawn has improved significantly over the time. When i was reading the first chapters, i noticed that his forehead mark was drawn in the same way regardless of his facial expressions or the camera angle.

BUT as the story went along, I began to notice that this has started to change... for the better!!! His head mark started to be drawn attached to his eyebrows and IT LOOKS SO MUCH BETTER!?! Not only does it look more realistic ofc but it also looks a lot more expressive, SO IM TALKING ABOUT IT. CUZ IT DESERVES TO BE PRAISED.

Uurrrrgh ok so idk if you guys can see what i mean so i drew a little example to make it easier:

I know that i should go back to paying attention to more important details like character development, dialogue, etc but im just way too obsessed about every single detail i cant control myself im SORRY

to be quite honest, I only actually have around 2 days to work on each update; the first day I spend writing and sketching it out, and the next day I line it, colour it, and do all the text and paneling, so it's really hard for me to keep things improving, some updates look better than others, unfortunately. so i just really appreciate that you guys can see small improvements like this!!! <3

GASP!!!! No primas-hermanas?!?!?! 😱 (I’m just kidding.)

Anyway, here’s my unpopular opinion: We Don’t Talk About Bruno is overrated, even more so than Let it Go. Now, don’t get me wrong, Let it Go was also overrated, it’s probably been played more than We Don’t Talk About Bruno was or ever will be. But the difference is that with Let it Go and Frozen in general, people appreciated the other songs just as much, so it wasn’t like people only cared about Let it Go. Growing up and being a Frozen fan, I saw lots of covers and appreciation for songs that weren’t Let it Go that got lots of attention and views: Do You Wanna Build a Snowman, Love is an Open Door, For the First Time in Forever, etc. All the songs got the recognition they deserved. There was even an acapella cover of Love is an Open Door that came out not too long ago. Meanwhile, when it comes to Encanto and it’s soundtrack, despite all the awesome songs, I just feel like the attention given to it is 85% We Don’t Talk About Bruno and 15% every other song, and it’s kind of exhausting. Especially since What Else Can I Do is my favorite song and that gets nowhere near as much attention as…pretty much any other song, tbh. Maybe it’s just me but it seems like that song is overshadowed by every song in the soundtrack, Surface Pressure, Waiting on a Miracle, Dos Oruguitas, All of You, etc. Sometimes I’ll even find We Don’t Talk About Bruno covers when looking for What Else Can I Do covers! I think it’s awesome when a song is so good that it explodes! But it feels annoying when people act like it’s the only song in the fanbase and ignore all the others, I’ve even heard people say that it’s the only good song in the movie(or it and Surface Pressure, which I’ll get to later). Uurrrrgh!

Also, Surface Pressure is overrated as well. It’s not as bad as WDTAB, but still. If someone’s favorite song isn’t Bruno, chances are it’s Surface Pressure. But personally I find the song mid, honestly. It’s cool, but I’m less likely to repeat it.
