Whoaaaa that's right Act 2's Alpha/Early Access has a SEXY OFFICIAL RELEASE DATE! Come on down to bonertown (non-gender-specific) this Feburary 14th for Part 2 of America's Horniest Horror Movie University!
youtube
WHAT'S NEW IN ACT 2:
Main Quest: Continue solving the main murder mystery!
Dateables Storylines: Tons of reactive choices, scenarios, and quests abound as you continue each dateable's storyline! (Currently Implemented: Tate, Juno, Hex, Laila)
The Passage Of Time: Experience a whole gore-geous Fall world palette (and events!) when Football Season hits during Act 2!
Side Quests AND New Quests: Finally get around to managing and decorating that speakeasy - and more!
Pass Your Midterms with new major-specific questlines and bigger scenarios - like Paisleigh's timed Saw trap (with contextual differences based on who you're dating)!
Brand New Layered Outfit System & Wardrobe UI: Outfits are now layerable with separate parts - design your fit with tops, bottoms, jackets, facewear, and more!
Piercings and Tattoos: Enter the body mods shoppe for realistic piercings (get pierced and swap out jewelry!), or get a tattoo! Story events will trigger characters to possibly get tattoos, as well!
New (Huge) Zones: Explore a world beyond campus, from Juno's hometown of New Ontario, to the bustling cyberpunk town center Slasher U is nestled next to, to the elaborate Final Girl Ball at the mysterious Heatherington Mansion!
New Minigames: Explore the art of slushie-making, fight Mr. McGillicutty to the death, and more!
New Characters: Tons of new folks integrated reactively into the Slasher U campus ecosystem!
New Scenarios: Just like Sawyer's big party and Hex's Rapture blowout, there's tons of new adventures, inset scenarios, and puzzles with brand new mechanics within the world!
ROADMAP: COMING SOON IN THE NEXT FEW MONTHS
Sawyer Main Quest - just like in Act 1, since Sawyer is a later addition, his content's just a little bit behind! Expect the full Sawyer suite to be up in the next few months.
New Repeatable Scene Content: New text messages, hookup scenes, dorm scenes, and more!
More Common Chats: Topics for each dateable to talk about, now that Act 2 is underway!
More Customization: Empty holes in those UI slots in your Wardrobe window are waitin' to be filled!
ROADMAP: COMING IN THE NEAR-ISH FUTURE
Steam Version: Once the game's out of beta and as un-buggy as I'd like it, it's off to Steam!
Headless Horsemike Hookup: You'll notice the START of a Horsemike flirtationship in there already, but the full thing's yet to come! (This was a reach goal from the Crowdfundr!)
This is an ALPHA / EARLY ACCESS game, so there'll be some chunks missing, things will ALWAYS been changing and be added, and bugs will feature aplenty - but as Just One Guy (tm) I could always use your help hunting them down so I can fix 'em! If you were here for Act 1's launch, it'll be almost entirely like that! (Although with more people here. Hi, people!!)
Thank you SO SO SO MUCH for all your support, love, playthroughs, and absolutely unhinged fanart throughout these last two years! May your campus always be horny and your goblet always full (of blood, maybe), Student Disembody!!

Two recent Hallmark movies to report on (‘recent’ referring to the watching, not necessarily the release date).
Last week I watched last fall’s The Christmas Charade, with Rachel Skarsten (whom I’ve enjoyed in everything) as an overly cautious children’s librarian with a hidden longing for adventure. On a blind date gone very wrong, she ends up paired with a loner FBI agent (and former orphan) trying to crack a series of thefts of priceless artifacts, and she gets sucked into the maelstrom.
Skarsten’s character ends up being surprisingly adept at various facets of the mission planning thanks to her life experience—and her apparent love of spy action/romance movies. The event or scenario that ends up driving the almost-couple apart before the happy ending is maybe the best I’ve seen…completely unexpected yet made perfect sense…and it didn’t involve anything either of them did.
This would be an easy two thumbs (or five stars) but for the fact the vaguely Asian best friend had an even smaller role than usual. (Made even more glaring by the promos for the following week’s The Five-Year Christmas Party with Katie Findlay and Hamilton/Liv and Maddie’s Jordan Fisher—I wish I would have watched The Christmas Charade the week it aired so that I would have known to record that one the next week.)
§
Tonight during dinner I watched Return to Office starring PLL’s devious Mona, Janel Parrish, as Liv, a tech company’s head of corporate strategy. She’s yearning for that actual VP title following the company’s acquisition of an artist-focused social network/media platform (for which her male costar serves as Head Designer). It’s a classic clash of personalities with a shared desk mystery correspondants twist (not so much “enemies-to-lovers” as “people who don’t know each other well and who rubbed each other the wrong way a little during early interactions-to-lovers”).
Three very high points of this movie:
The thing that keeps Liv and the male lead character, Tom, from getting together despite their growing attraction feels very organic and even multifaceted. There was one spot where I didn’t completely pick up on the intent, but even then I had enough context to get the general thrust. If this and The Christmas Charade are anything to judge by, these films are really upping their game in regard to this once-annoying feature of the genre.
Tom’s mother and her new friend at her new senior living facility are fantastic. I’d watch those two “old” ladies in something!
Liv’s boss Walter, the founder and head of the company, is a charming, slightly-eccentric middle-aged white guy—who is an extremely sanitized version of the familiar, real-world so-called white men “tech geniuses” who happened to get lucky with daddy’s money and end up with a portfolio of social and tech companies that they manage with their own “quirky,” egocentric styles that they believe are responsible for the company’s success. Like his real-world analogues, Walter eventually shows his true colors, however; his chaotic management strategy drives a wedge between Liv and Tom (his design team made to report to Liv on basically a whim). Walter then dismisses Tom’s logo redesign* for the acquired firm for which Tom has been lead designer since Day 1 and decides it’s his vision for the future, so he’ll design it himself. Spoiler alert: Walter has no vision, and he can’t design. But, to complete his transformation to (revelation as?) a greedy Silicon Valley villain, he uses AI to generate something so garish I wanted to gouge my eyes out—and decides he’s going to go all-in on AI, gutting the acquired company/social network, stealing its UI, and slapping that UI/design on top of some AI, thereby saving him thousands and thousands of dollars and making him millions from people needing art/designs (who would have formerly connected with artists/designers on the acquired network and paid actual humans for real, human-made designs/art)! At which point he goes one step further, declaring that no one needs artists and designers any more, hooray! Walter looks exactly like a spate of AI-loving, employee-hating, American social media CEO villains at this point. My biggest regret is that we don’t get to see him hoisted on his own petard at the end. * It…was not spectacular. In all fairness, we never saw the existing logo that needed a refresh for going global, but slapping on a section of map/globe showing North and South America is hardly “global.” The new logo was on screen for such a short amount of time, but it was at a critical plot moment, so with all due respect to the design staff on the production team (and given the ultimate messaging of the film), I do wish the filmmakers would have gone with a real-world logo designer.
This movie was a pretty bold statement on Hallmark’s part; they generally appear fairly conservative (in the small-c, non-political sense, but, still), don’t-rock-the-boat types. (Witness, for instance, my repeated commentary about the overload of straight white leads and token persons-of-color.) Yet, at the same time, Hallmark is undoubtedly creatives through and through, from the trademark greeting cards all the way to the television/movies side. (And, perhaps, lovers of people.) So it’s refreshing to see them on the right side of this existential battle for our souls as human beings and creatives.
There are some great messages for our time in this film—and a charming Janel Parrish and a fun romance, to boot. Full marks.

I don't have any specific questions to ask so just rant about anything about DB/Z/GT/S that you constantly think about
Well I pretty much think about alot of DB constantly but lately whats been on my mind, outside stupid shit the fandom says, is that my tinfoil hat theory about DBS.
Now this isnt saying anything bad about Super despite my negative feelings on it, just something I noticed.
Something is absoultely going wrong behind the scenes in modern Dragon Ball's production. For one, the manga stuff is nowhere in sight merchandise wise. You'd think Bandai would have pushed out a dozen figures of SSJ Purple Vegeta and Black Freeza by now but nope. Nothing. Not even in the games like Dokkan or Legends. For reference, UI Goku got announced in Dokkan not even 24 hours after the episode aired.
Secondly, the horrible marketing for DBSSH makes me think they almost wanted it to fail. I know there was that leak that pushed back the release date, but the complete and utter lack of promo material leading up to the movie was wild. This is the same series that has episode titles like "Transformed at Last" so theyve never shyed away from spoilers. even DBS Broly showed soooooo much in the promos, there was TONS of merch everywhere. For Superhero? we had the same ~minute of footage from first teaser up until launch iirc. little to no merch. Theres been a few Gohan Blanco figures, but like, barely anything for Piccolo, 1 or 2 for the Gammas, nothing for Gotenks, 1 little figure for Trunks and Goten, ((and apparently one big Goten model coming soon but the movies been out for over a year by the time that drops))
Thirdly, the manga. Again, my feelings aside, its just strange. After the most recent big arc, they took like 3 months off, only to come back for a slice of life arc about Trunks (Goten was marketed but he was barely there, it was really just Trunks and I'll die on that hill), and then just retell the movie we just saw. They took 3 months off for ANOTHER retelling? What makes thigns even more weird is that the manga skipped right over the Broly movie. it was like "yeah this happened" and thats it. So??? EOZ is still clearly going to be the end to me, so I think theyre gearing up for one big final battle against Freeza but theres just so many strange decisions made these past 2 years.
And dont forget the "DBS 2 confirmed" leaks that run rampant on twitter. People keep saying their 'inside source' are telling them its coming, and then it doesnt come. Back when the movie was coming out, it was July confirmed! Then August. September, October, Novemeber, December, January, etc. and the story changed constantly, its honestly fucking hilarious and the longer it goes the funnier it is every time it doesnt get announced
TLDR modern Dragon Ball is a fucking mess production wise and has been literally since day one

The Full Crunchyroll Breakdown
Tumblr media
When it comes to anime streaming services, Crunchyroll stands head and shoulders above the competition, providing avid fans with access to the latest releases and beloved classics. Originally established in 2006 as an illicit anime site, Crunchyroll has since transformed into a dominant force within the genre as a result of a series of strategic deals, partnerships and mergers. Following its official merger with the industry giant Funimation in 2022, the platform has become a global destination, delivering viewers in over 200 countries a remarkable collection of more than 40,000 episodes. With an impressive user base of 100 million registered individuals, Crunchyroll continues to captivate anime enthusiasts worldwide.
Upon my initial use of Crunchyroll, I found the app’s navigation and UI to be exceptionally reliable and smooth. The search engine is intuitive and simple to use, which is essential given the vast array of content available. Plus, the platform operates seamlessly as it barely ever glitches. One of the app’s biggest features is its well-curated content. This is because movies and TV shows are perfectly curated by genre, which makes browsing satisfying and straightforward, while also facilitating the discovery of new shows. Additionally, Crunchyroll offers HD options in 720p and 1080p, with automated streaming at the best quality appropriate for your device. The picture quality is excellent, and the anime looks fantastic even in standard HD.
Crunchyroll stands out as one of the top streaming services, thanks to its 7-day trial option. This allows users to test out the app without any financial commitment. Once the trial period ends, users can make an informed decision about whether or not to continue using Crunchyroll. Additionally, Crunchyroll’s price subscriptions provide more than simply basic streaming services. The fan subscription, which is the cheapest, is priced at $7.99 per month. This plan provides so much like ad-free, unrestricted access to the Crunchyroll collection, new episodes immediately following their Japanese launches, and digital manga. While giving over 1,000 series available, Crunchyroll caters to both seasoned anime enthusiasts and newcomers, making it an excellent choice for any TV watcher. One standout feature of Crunchyroll is its broadcasting of new anime episodes on the same day as their Japanese broadcast, which allows viewers to stay up-to-date without the fear of spoilers.
Crunchyroll, despite its merits, does fall short in terms of providing a complete collection of classic anime that viewers often seek. Popular titles such as Death Note, Sailor Moon and Bleach are notably absent from its library. Just to name a few. Another limitation is that it’s purely an anime streaming platform , so it doesn’t have the diversity of a streaming platform like Netflix, which has regular TV shows, movies and anime.
The experience and the amount of features you get for the price, makes crunchyroll an absolutely bargain. It’s by far and away the best anime streaming service and it’s not even close due to it beating its competitors in pretty much every category. Furthermore, it is one of the best streaming platforms available, competing in every way with the juggernauts like Netflix, Amazon Prime and Apple TV.
Overall, despite being predominantly an anime streaming platform, Crunchyroll stands out as one of the top choices for streaming. This is due to its extensive range of diverse programming, a vast catalogue and a wide range of genres, all delivered at an unbelievably low price. Making it undoubtedly one of the most meticulously crafted platforms available. So, if you are already an anime enthusiast, there is no need for us to convince you further. However, if you have yet to experience the world of anime, we highly recommend giving Crunchyroll a try because it caters to a wide spectrum of interests.
