IM SHAKING I'M ROCKING BACK AND FORTH AND HITTING MY HEAD AGAINST THE WALL...

I initially thought round 7 would be something emotional in the sense that it would be more gloomy and depressing, but no--this is literally some crazy ass upbeat techno-disco rave-themed music....in other words, It feels like a concert this time.

The atmosphere is so energetic I WASN'T EXPECTING IT.

It's interesting how they stand on a stage that symbolizes themselves equally in a meshed sort of way, blue and green, in equal distance and on equal footing, unlike round 5 when Luka used elevation to his advantage a lot, it feels different here. Round 7 feels like a mix of their styles; even the song has a soft tempo with a mix of Till's roughness in there, but the idea that they'll fight for the stage feels somewhat pushed here. They both stand on the stage like they own it, and given their nature, Luka's manipulative personality allows him to dominate the stage with his presence, and Till's unwillingness to be overshadowed and made inferior this feels like on the flip side this round will be a real, and intense competition.

Round 7 is very different because, unlike the other rounds, Luka and Till are rivals. They have no chemistry of any sort. The reason why I say round 7 will be a real competition is because all the rounds before weren't, round 1, 2, 3, and 6 focused on the intimacy and relationship between characters, they were telling a story, pouring their hearts out through their songs, while round 7 will be made into a true death match.

In typical fashion, Luka establishes himself with a sense of superiority as he spreads out, fills the arena with his presence, absorbs the energy of the stage, and captivates the aliens' attention. It's because he's confident, at least outwardly. He sets up the illusion of power this way, but truthfully, he is more controlled than ever. The strings on his costume look akin to puppet strings to me. That kind of symbolism has been shown in his other costumes before, but this feels overbearing, and trapping.

Till is more reserved in the teaser, at least in this example, he's hidden in the shadows, and how he's feeling is ambiguous, though obviously, it isn't anything good, given that he was just thrown on the stage while he's mentally unstable and confused I'm sure that's an understatement.

When Vivinos mentions Till's emotional journey...what mindset Till will bring to the stage...this round is gonna be chaotic as hell

To me, Till looks all sorts of things, and anger is most prominent. He's flashy and loud, and the colors he's represented with are his own, Till embodies rebellion, and symbolizes that he's fighting to push the barriers of his cage, while Luka embraces his. after everything he's been through I'm sure his mind is a thunderstorm of mixed emotions, even just the look in his eyes.. so considering that--his side of things will probably be a lot more messy, but there is a good sign here that shows he seems to have regained his fighting spirit he doesn't look like he'll be going down without a fight at all.

And their body language here in the last frame--The lighting in this frame looks intense, like the weight of those lights is gradually bearing down on them, Till looks strangely slouched over like he's out of it (I believe he may have been drugged by the aliens again..) while Luka, for once, isn't even looking at his audience, he's looking to the side, seemingly distracted. It's notable just how detached they look from their performance and the moment. The detached and performative nature of round 7 highlights how this performance is all merely a high-budget spectacle, entertainment for the aliens as it always was. It's a fitting vibe for Luka and Till, who had gone through the most to make it here just to have every aspect of their personalities marketed, and to be paraded around like trophies by their guardians.

And now the title--FOUL. Is how i'd describe it based on my reading of it.

"Blink gone" could be connected to the other teaser, "Never come back again" as in --> "blink gone--and never come back again" is maybe a reference to the things (or people) they've lost in their lives, in seemingly the blink of an eye.

In general, blink gone is related to something fast-moving. So how will that sentiment be expressed in round 7 through their perspectives?

And YET AGAIN. I come back to this official art for another more parallel, I have no idea what the bands around Tills arms are about, but these two seem to correlate. (Or they could mean nothing at all. absolutely nothing at all. But fun fact: wearing black bands on your arm can be representative of mourning)

And Luka's design here, Luka still hasn't changed his aesthetic, so nothing noteworthy other than the fact that his outfit just got more revealing, I can probably see why, if there is an alien equivalent of fan service in the universe of Alien stage. There are lines on his chest that I assume are meant to be scarring? Luka has been said to have had surgeries and experiments before so that little detail they included...ughhhh.

And Mizi will seemingly be showing up for another rescue attempt, but as expected, the area is heavily guarded, more so than in round 6, so this may be a little tricky, and I have no idea how they'll pull it off this time with the atmosphere so intense and the aliens so close to them...

I've been following this post for a dog on the euthanasia list for a couple days. Maybe bc it's a breed I really like, that's why I feel pretty intensely sad about it? Or because the dog looks genuinely miserable.

Should I get a dog? That would be so inconvenient. I love sleeping in and NOT having to take a dog to the ground floor to pee at bedtime and early in the morning and building my schedule around its needs and uhhh paying hundreds of dollars to transport this dog to me and I'm about to go on multiple work trips and like I know my mom would both judge it as a bad decision and make sure she tells me 20+ times and also demand to be a part of the process and uhghghhhh

But that poor fucking dog I keep thinking about her. She's going to die. So many dogs die in shelters, constantly, for lack of interest or space. Tons of lives snuffed out, dead, dead, dead and why does the plight of this one strike me more than an average "sad dog" post? Think how Demi died this year and it wounded me so badly, but so many died before her and after her and many more will die after this dog does and almost every last one of them without me knowing or thinking of them at all. This is a nearly 10 year commitment for fuck's sake.

I'm leaning towards "no" but I feel so bad. I can't just upend my life because I feel bad but I FEEL BAD!!!

nom yen and its place in BLs

Good morning/evening/night to all of you where ever you are.

Today I am going to make the most obvious point and realization ever. This point has probably been made a million times over before and yet here I am to make it once again.

I recently had the opportunity to try nom yen. I live in [NOT THAILAND] and finding sala syrup was really hard for me and I did NOT want to give money to amazon (especially not upwards of 30 dollars). But anyway, recently I found sala syrup in a corner store near me and I tried making nom yen (I didn't use any recipe because they all seemed to be pretty different and used no formal measurements so it was just sala syrup, condensed milk, 2% milk and my heart).

I tried it and....... it's not as sweet as I had been expecting it to be. I mean I have a bit of a sweet tooth but the way this drink was talked about in all the shows I had seen it in I was expecting it to be super duper sweet. I mean, it was for sure a sweet drink but whatever, that's not the point of this post

as the title says I wanted to talk about nom yen and its place in BL. More specifically I am going to talk about SOTUS solely because I can not, for the life of me, remember what other show it was featured in to the extent that it was in SOTUS (i swear theres another character that had Arthit levels of obsession with the drink but I CAN'T REMEMBER!!!!!!! UHGHGHHHH)

Anyway, in SOTUS we are introduced to Arthit, the LITERAL ASS OF AN UPPER YEAR (arguably not the meanest upper year but shhhhh) who can't help but be mean to Kongpob and his friends. And well, obviously the freshmen see him as a huge dick. And he does have to uphold this image (duh) but he does drop it occasionally.

When they run into each other for the first time (OUTSIDE OF THE SCHOOL AND ALONE) guess what GUESS WHAT!!! THATS RIGHT, ARTHIT GETS A NOM YEN. At first, we see him try to play off this drink, I mean he's embarrassed that he's getting this "childish sweet drink" he's supposed to be this evil manly mean guy.

HELL even kong mentions how it's "interesting that a hazer like [him] likes to drink nom yen" AND ARTHIT DOESN'T LEAVE THE DRINK WHEN HE LEAVES (which like always happens in BL) HE TAKES THE DRINK!!! HE DOESN'T WANT TO LEAVE THAT PART OF HIM OUT IN THE OPEN!!! HE NEED TO HIDE IT. (yes i am maybe reaching)

Anyway, we see this evil mean guy drinking a SWEET CHILDISH DRINK. ARTHIT IS A HUMAN!! HE IS MORE THAN THIS EVIL HAZER!! and like, this is even more so true because when he gets sick he ASKS HIS FRIEND, WITH NO SHAME (i haven't watched the show in a while so maybe there was some shame), TO GET HIM A NOM YEN. and then he sees kong getting him the drink instead and EMBARASSED, TRYING TO HIDE IT. LIKE HE DOESN'T CARE THAT HIS FRIENDS KNOW THAT HE IS A NORMAL AND SOMETIMES SWEET AND NICE GUY BUT THE FRESHMEN???? THEY CAN'T KNOW

because, like I said, I tried the drink, it really isn't that sweet. But they keep bringing up how sweet and childish it (the drink is). Why would they mention all that constantly if not to make a point about arthit?

The nom yen is more than just nom yen, it is his inner self (omg im so uh smart or whatever)

Anyway out of fear of this getting too long and me making less sense than I already do, I am going to end it here lol :3

TL;DR: nom yen is a narrative device used to humanize arthit

Also, keep an eye out maybe for more of my thoughts on show episodes as I am watching perfect 10 liners right now (like it so far but thats probably just book and force) and I want to watch pluto too but who knows

(ALSO I FINALLY FINISHED LAST TWILIGHT AND I CRIED LIKE MANY TIMES OVER (I had like 3 or 4 episodes left and i couldn't bring myself to finish it because of uhhh reasons and I CRIED instead) i also finished a boss and a babe (i had like 9 episodes) i also started and finished be my favourite and i liked that too (i was not expecting to) but those three shows are neither here nor there i suppose)

for MONTHS now probably most of a year ive had this like. pressure in my lower jaw. and my lymph nodes have been a little swollen. its At Most a little annoying and w everything else my body gets up to it was both like...didnt seem that serious, and was kind of one of those “guess its just another one of those things” and since so many people w EDS have jaw problems i figured it was just that and it didnt really need to be looked into more

i have also not been to a dentist in like two years bc of issues like physically getting there until this week i caved and just went to a local one out of pocket and APPARENTLY

my bottom wisdom teeth are partially impacted so like it never got painful or uncomfortable enough for me to be like Oh This Needs Medical Attention but now that i know what it is im just GET THIS SHIT OUT OF MY FACE!!!! IMMEDIATELY
