Here I come with the finished Ennard furnace scene part 1 (from AFLH Chapter 77) comic practice. This is one of my favorite ones yet, I gotta say all those wires... uah

Oh my GOD THIS IS INCREDIBLE! 8D I don't know how you keep pulling this off- I haven't thought about this scene in a hot second and now I just CAN'T stop thinking about it! I LOVE it! I love the details of the Moltens getting more visibly agitated and aggressive through Ennard's speech, I love the cutting and getting to see the other characters, I EVEN LOVE MICHAEL'S LITTLE FALL WHICH I ONLY JUST NOTICED!

I am NOT going to be sleeping tonight but I am so happy! And this was, ironically, perfect timing because I've got an Ennard section on a tough chapter that I have to type up and this has given me that sweet, sweet pep.

I can't put into words how fantastic your art is, and how just- enthralled I feel when I see it! I really do love, LOVE it and AGHAGAGGH I DON'T KNOW HOW YOU KEEP PULLING THIS OFF! 😆 Thank you so, so much- you are the best!

Prompt 18 - Saltwater

“Ahhh~ the beach, finally!“, James stretched his back and closed his eyes, the sun felt awesome on his skin.

“Last one in the water is a wanker!“ Peter sprinted off towards the water, taking off his shirt while running, followed closely by James, who yelled how unfair it was because Peter started early.

Remus chuckled and lightly squeezed Sirius’ hand, who instinctively planted a kiss on Remus’ shoulder. They strolled towards the sea and watched as James tackled Peter, splashing the water around them.

“Wanna go in the water too?“, Remus asked after they sat down in the sand.

Sirius scoffed: “And let the saltwater touch my hair? No thank you.“ 

Remus smiled and rolled his eyes sarcastically, how could he forget about his boyfriend’s precious hair?

“True, you put a hair mask on this morning.“, He remembered and looked at Sirius, whose eyes lit up.

“You remember that? I thought you were asleep?“, he tried to suppress a grin. 

“Half-asleep, I just smelled it.“, Remus shrugged.

“Awww, you knew because of the smell that it was my hair mask?“, Sirius lay his head on Remus’ shoulder.

“Of course. And, because I know how much you love your hair and don’t want it to get damaged, I brought this with me.“

Remus pulled out a black hair tie.

“Can I?“

Sirius mouth formed into an open smile and he quickly shifted infront of Remus.

“Yes, please!“

Having done this thousand of times before, even before they had become a couple, Remus expertly bound Sirius’ hair up into a bun.

“Are you coming?!“, James shouted in their direction before being wrestled into the water again by Peter.

Sirius jumped up and then pulled up Remus. 

“On our way!“, he screamed back. “Let’s go!“

Remus dipped forwards and gave Sirius a quick peck on the lips before scooping him up in his arms.

“Uah!“, Sirius slung his arms around Remus’ neck and laughed.

“Yep, let’s go!“, Remus chuckled and ran off to the sea with a shrieking Sirius in his arms.

OKAY- so im watching pd ( i just finished the last episode of season one i know im a little behind lol) and i was reading comments and i saw someone say (of course i cant find it now) that they liked that over time the logo at the start got progressively more cracked as the boys went through harder stuff. first of all I AM SO MAD I DIDNT COMPREHEND THIS AT FIRST like yeah i noticed it got more cracked but it didn’t even register that it was on purpose😭😭 but this is SO COOL OH MY GOD- i have screenshots of some of the episodes so yall can see what i mean . im going to put what episode there from under them.. my mind is blown and yall need to see this

EPISODE 24‼️ JUST LOOK AT IT AHHH- the colors are muted, shit flying everywhere, not to mention the music and how it was slowed and muffled a ton UAH- (it scared the shit out of me at first lol) and the episode itself?? i nearly cried lol “i would let the world burn before id watch my friends die” SHIVERS “its all right guys- i had a feeling it would go like this.. but you guys are safe.” IM CRYING. LITERALLY SOUL CRUSHING. (yakko good god my heart cannot take this please spare me) but it was SO GOOD im going nuts-o over here man-SCREAMING AND THROWING UP. Bizly props to you because it was so subtle that i almost missed it but i could FEEL it wowowowowow sooosososos good i could go on for ages-

#tristampparty day 6, episode 6: once upon a time in hopeland

THE HALFWAY POINT OF @tristampparty BABY!!! this is another episode i've watched multiple times on its own so... LET'S GOOOOO

and we start right out the gate with

i don't think i need to keep saying that masaya onosaka is the radio dj... he's been a constant...

LOL, LMAO, EVEN

"disposal," though... we know all about the last run, but what else does disposal entail. like what do they do with the. um. the corpse? and the word "disposal"... yeesh...

so they say, even though it's obvious bullshit. but i do wonder. conrad is in charge of july, EoM's base is in july, etc etc... but how many people actually know what's going on? who does "the july government" consist of besides conrad? what about the civilians living in the city? EoM's cover is flimsy at best, they're suspicious as hell, so how deep and how far does the propaganda machine reach that this can just... keep going on?

all this planet has is radio and newspapers, no TV, no internet, and everyone is struggling just to survive... we saw just last ep how EoM had a grip on one village to the point where it was normalized to sacrifice children... just how good are they at controlling information? jeez. roberto and meryl's job as reporters is more important than ever.

we see that part of wolfwood's designated role is to go after deserters and traitors, so that's another way of controlling information, but. he's just one guy. so they probably have more assassins than just him. maybe the rest of the ghg that we haven't seen yet? there's livio, too, but... how long has he been with EoM at this point? the timeline's so unclear on this, i don't know... we know it took "months" between wolfwood being taken by them and his escape attempt + livio(/razlo) joining, but we don't know how long ago that was either... presumably it would also take "months" for the experiments to be done on livio, or maybe even less time? uhhhhh (steam comes out of my ears from thinking too hard)

......i'm less than 3 minutes into the episode. let's continue.

it's cute that they shrug simultaneously. mad at each other but still in sync... :')

no idea why the orphanage would be highlighted on the map except for foreshadowing purposes, but it looks like the steamer stops at... uh... *squints* taradiddlescoast... deucedump?!... orange bazoo... who tf is naming these places?!

we already know that the sandsteamer route passes by the orphanage. so i like that there's a sandsteamer visible in the distance. very nice subtle attention to detail here

i feel like people are always quick to point out that livio and wolfwood being siblings is specific to stampede only but i DON'T care, this is my FAVORITE interpretation of their relationship, i really love it so much and think it enhances the narrative and nicely contrasts the relationship between vash and knives. orange was SO big brained for this and i'm not kidding. they're brothers in the manga too, to me.

the dub line here is "stop, livio! he's not who hurt you!" which just tears me into a million pieces, thanks!

...if i remember correctly... the "great sand ocean" is called as such because things just sink into it, right? (hmm... wonder how many crashed ships sank into the sand ocean...) hence the boat-like vehicles that are used to cross it. as we can see, the bad lads gang uses what look like windsurfers. and yet wheeled vehicles seem to fare just fine...?!

we never see what the test is. huh... i'm reminded of the promised neverland all of a sudden

nicholas gets selected and the bell rings... can i point something out? the bell's presence in scenes... what the bell represents... it has the EoM logo on it. well, so does the building. but notably, we see the bell in the scene with livio and wolfwood on the roof at night and also in the scene of them cuddling which i posted above. they're bonding and they love each other but the eye of michael is quite literally looming over them... and over the orphanage as a whole...

i've already talked about this in my bookclub posts but i want to talk about the orphanage's relationship with EoM again. it's literally run by them... there's NO cover story here, they're CLEARLY suspicious as hell. in the manga, chapel came by himself to pick wolfwood up and the cover story was that they would be repairing churches, right? and everyone genuinely believed he was going off to live a better life. here it's just. a bunch of guys in suits and masks. obviously suspicious. they run the place, so i guess there's no need for a cover story...? but iirc in the manga EoM was also using the orphanage as a "source" for soldiers, right? like i think chapel says something like that, doesn't he? am i misremembering?

i have so many questions. there's no confetti. what does that mean. this is a lot more lowkey than wolfwood's departure in the manga. no cheering, no invitation to come back/saying this is always his home, just... polite waves. and melanie looks... unhappy. how much does she know? how much of a choice does she have here? ...huh. i'm reminded of the promised neverland again.

what does this mean for... y'know. The Scene. like. the confetti is important. the kids loving nicholas so much and cheering while saying goodbye is important. why did orange take those out what are they planning what does it MEAN!!!!

wolfwood is "test subject HL1-06" and i have no idea what that means and we can't determine from this how many kids came before him either.

see this gets the gears turning in my head regarding the timeline again. legato says this, and we see some flashforwards (i guess in this context that's what they are) to wolfwood killing people, including the guy from the beginning of this episode and monev from the last episode... (over which legato calls him a loser, lol?! even though that's very much not the reason why wolfwood killed him, and we know it) so how long was wolfwood working for EoM before he was given the job to "babysit" vash?

i already talked about this in one of my bookclub posts but there's the change in livio's motivations, too... he's chasing after wolfwood... as opposed to (razlo) wanting to be needed... what does it mean. man, i really hope orange doesn't do razlo dirty whenever he shows up for real.

THIS CLEARLY ISN'T STRINGS. WHY IS LEGATO'S POWER DIFFERENT IN EVERY VERSION OF TRIGUN I SWEAR TO GOD like it's telekinesis, right?! what does this mean for legato?! and his backstory?! strings are so fitting for him thematically, so i don't know what they could be planning here!!

kouki uchiyama will see a guy with blue hair covering one eye and say "is anyone gonna voice him" and not wait for an answer (and then fight akira ishida over it)

whenever legato talks about his confusion over fraternal love i can't help but remember nightow's comment about him maybe having a younger sister. which is interesting to think about but has never been relevant for any version of legato ever... buuuut... with orange's attention to detail, hmmm, who knows...

also i'm obsessed with legato driving hands-free and I AM ONCE AGAIN ASKING HOW HIS POWERS WORK IN THIS VERSION.

Pretend boyfriend - Chapter 3

Summary:

Chat Noir tells Ladybug in a spaz that he has a boyfriend and asks Luka to pretend and fill in for the role for a double date with her and her boyfriend. The problem is he's trying to make Ladybug jealous… and Luka is caught in the middle of it when he's also the spotted hero's date.

Chapter 3: Chat Noir finds out

A knock on the window alerted Luka. He wasn't expecting a superhero visit that early afternoon. Especially not-

"Chat Noir?" He stood up to open his window and let the cat hero in. He looked concerned. "What's wrong?"

"Luka… I- yesterday evening… In the greenhouse of the Liberty… I've seen…" he nervously scratched his hair. Until he dared to ask. "A-are you dating Marinette…?"

"Oh-" it escaped Luka. He and Marinette had agreed to date in secret. For now. Just in case her secret identity could be compromised. But some days had passed since then and they became less careful lately. And if Chat had seen them yesterday evening, when they had been cuddling and kissing while they had some relaxing music on, then… there was no point in hiding it anymore. "Yes, I am."

"Oh… Congratulations." He struggled a little to say those words. He had feelings for him, after all. And now… 

"Thank you. I'm sorry you found out like this. We wanted to tell you, but we didn't know when or how."

"No, it's okay. You made your feelings very clear the first time. It wasn't unexpected." Even if it still hurts… he mumbled to himself. "You two seem happy, so I'm happy for you."

"Thank you."

They shared a hug- one last hug, Chat Noir feared, so he lingered in for a bit longer than necessary. Luka understood that and allowed him to. After they separated, Chat Noir suddenly got stiff and nervous again.

"What's wrong?" Luka asked, noticing his unusual behavior.

"Actually… I wanted to ask you something…" His voice trembled a little. Why?

"Sure." Luka showed him full attention. 

"Well…" Chat gulped nervously. He’d had that idea since he found out about Luka dating Marinette… That idea that had never actually left his mind since a long, long while ago… He took a deep breath and launched the question:  "Do you think Ladybug will date me now that you're dating Marinette…?"

"NO." 

"Eh?" Luka's answer was so direct and flat that it startled the cat hero. "B-but-! If I keep trying- then someday-! We're meant to be and-!"

"NO," Luka repeated, shushing him. "That's not how it works, Chat." He sighed and then patted his bed, inviting him to sit down. "Come here, I think you have a few things to learn about consent, boundaries, and love…"

Chat Noir nodded and took a seat as he listened attentively to Luka's eye-opening lecture.

An hour later, Marinette crossed the gangplank of the Liberty and moved towards Luka's room with little excited skips. 

"Luka!" She happily entered her boyfriend’s room and- "UAH! Chat Noir!?" She jumped backwards, and, for a moment, she forgot she was Marinette. "Why are you here!? I told you to leave Luka alone and-" 

Chat Noir turned to her and Marinette was astonished at the sight; he was bawling, full of tears and snots. "Marinette…"

"Uah! What's wrong?" It took her aback.

"I'm so sorry- I will leave Luka alone- I will leave Ladybug alone, too- I didn't realize I was hurting them with my insistence and lack of tact…" He sobbed. "I realize now how selfish I was, thinking I was the only one hurt out of it- not thinking enough about others’ feelings or Parisians' safety! I’m so sorry- so sorry," he bawled.

"Chat…" Marinette gasped in surprise.

"I need to go! I have to apologize to Ladybug!" He wiped his tears and snots with a handkerchief Luka gave him and left through the window. "Thank you, Luka! Bye!"

The room stayed silent for a minute.

"What was that about…?" Marinette finally asked her boyfriend, still trying to process the situation.

"You heard him. He wants to apologize to Ladybug. I think you should go." He winked.

"I can't believe it. You put some common sense in his brain? Amazing." She kissed his lips, to his delight. "I'll be right back. You can eat some macarons meanwhile." He nodded. "I won't believe this until I see it… Tikki, Spots on!"

Ladybug jumped through the fisheye window of Luka’s room after Chat Noir. She wasn't back until one hour later.

"Luka! I can't believe it! He really did apologize!! He said he'll be professional and prioritize Paris now instead of flirting!" She detransformed, giving her boyfriend a big hug. "I mean- I'm probably not going to actually believe it until I see it with my own eyes but this is such a big step! Thank you so much, Luka!" she leaned in to give him an effusive kiss he gladly accepted.

"You're welcome." He kissed her back. 

 “I have the impression things are going to get so much better while fighting akumas now. I’m so relieved the message finally got through his thick head.” She giggled. She clearly felt a weight off her shoulders. 

"Well, it's not like I wanted him to flirt with my girlfriend. There's that, too." He winked playfully. She giggled, pleased at that. 

"So- how can I thank you? With kisses?" Marinette sat on his lap, one hand on his face while the other was on his shoulder for stability. His hands found comfort surrounding her waist. 

"Kisses sound great." He leaned in, giving her a peck on her cheek.

��Okay then,” she started. “This one is for Ladybug.” She kissed him once. “This one, for Marinette.” She kissed him again. “This one is for you.” She made it last longer than the previous ones. Warm. Intense. Passionate, too. Filled with lots of love and gratitude. Love he absolutely reciprocated. She panted a little when they broke the kiss, feeling a swarm of butterflies in her belly. 

“I’m loving these ‘thank yous.’ Best ‘thank you’ I’ve ever received,” Luka joked, pulling her closer, their noses touching with matching breathing. 

“There’s more,” Marinette giggled, playfully. “This one is for ugh- for Chat.” That one was a quick peck on the cheek. He couldn’t help but laugh at her reaction. Cute. “And this one is for Paris.”

Now- that was a KISS. A deep kiss that brought both of them on top of the Eiffel Tower- the world theirs, at their feet, but only them existed. They separated due to their lack of air.

“Wow… That was-” Luka panted. “Tell me there’s more.” 

“There’s… more…” Marinette hummed between deep breathing. “I’m going to give you a kiss for each one of Paris' citizens,” she smiled playfully. “Every one except Hawk Moth.”

“Uah-” Luka blushed in anticipation, his smile going wide. “As I said- Best. Thank you. Ever.” She giggled when he pulled her to lie down on his bed, making Marinette fall on top of him. “Bring it on.”

Marinette giggled as she kissed him again and again, and he couldn’t help it but to kiss her back every time, despite her occasional protests: “I’m the one thanking you!” and he would chuckle and kiss her again. They kept going on until Juleka kicked them out for being too embarrassing. They laughed at that. Many kisses remained, she was sure, despite having lost count of them a long time ago. They parted ways with one last kiss. “See you tomorrow.” 

Back at home, in her bed, Marinette couldn’t wait for tomorrow to come so she could keep showing him all her love and Paris’ gratefulness. Luka couldn’t wait either.
