I'm glad some readers have picked up on this little detail on The Witch Door: earlier Tzofiya's hair would mostly stay away from her face but when she becomes worried it starts to cover it partly.

(It's not a super meaningful thing but just a little change in her character.)

okay, i got a bit dramatic with this one, but can you blame me? after all, everything was bigger in the eighties. hair was bigger, shoulder pads were bigger, everything was bigger. music was bigger, and music related subcultures gained a super heavy footing. while the punk movement had already existed and the goth subculture had started to build in the late seventies, they both hit their heyday in the 1980s! glam rock was huge in the eighties, and there was actually a fair bit of androgyny in rock styles and subcultural styles. far before the athleisure trend we see today (i still dont understand what athleisure is?), was the athletic fad of the eighties, heralded by olivia newton john's "physical". this athletic fad is where we see the legwarmers and the spandex that you'll see in every modern day 80s-themed halloween costume. much like in the 1930s, fashion drew from film and hollywood, and john hughes' teen films influenced the fashion of the youth, which in turn inspired more teen films.

guys, we're getting super close to modern day, and i have to admit: i have no fucking idea what modern trends are. i have like five outfits and most of them involve band tee shirts.

My SCP Au with my Bright Rewrite (Dr Abirt Kravitz | O5-7) needs a name so I can organise my shit better but also I can't keep calling it "My AU". I like names.

I can't really choose between those 4 options even if they all technically have the same meaning.

Anyways I'm opening up a poll just to see which one people likes the most and maybe even get opinions to see which one is easier to remember, pronounce and stuff.

Context of the My AU:

Dr Abirt Kravitz (Bright Rewrite/Amulet Variant) is currently O5-7. He's romantically involved with Dr Simon Glass. Alongside the two in their shared apartment is Atticus Kravitz, someone who just appeared and claimed to be one of Abirt's Kids.

Other things in this AU include:

Yoric working his way to be the new Tamir (Tamlin)

Tzipora and Terach (Claire and TJ) being twins and having more concepts and relationships with their own family (referring to Sera, Claire II/Tzofiya and Claire III/Tziviya)

Some of the more popular/older senior staff being O5s themselves (including Clef, Mann, Gears)

I should probably make a Google Doc and note thingy for my AU tbh.

WIP snippet

So like I promised, have a snippet from my fanfic wip! This is a bit I really like from part 1, the beginning of chapter 4 (so it's on AO3 already, in case it seems familiar to you).

After an evening round flying over Lintukoto, Tzofiya lands on her balcony, transforming back into her human form. She goes inside and is just thinking about making herself a nice cup of tea to round off the day, when there’s a knocking on her door. She turns around again to open it quickly, half expecting Lintuemo or possibly Ken, but it’s Jousia.

“Oh, hello. You are lucky Jousia, I just got home a minute ago.”

“Actually I’ve been knocking on your door for at least the past half hour. May I come over?” Jousia is holding a mug of coffee and wearing an odd, slightly worrisome expression.

“Sure.” Tzofiya steps back to make room for her friend. “Are you alright? You look a bit… frazzled.” She hands him a large cushion to sit on. “Let me just make a quick cup of tea for this.”

Jousia doesn’t say a word while she putters around with the teamaking, finally settling down on her bed opposite him with a large cup. She regards him with a keen eye. “So… what’s up?”

He lets out a long sigh, staring off into the distance. “I don’t even know where to begin. And I don’t really feel like talking either.” He shifts around on his cushion. “I’m confused and I feel shitty and I don’t know why.”

Huh, that’s new, Tzofi thinks to herself. Out loud she says, “How about you start with the things you do know, and then maybe it will help if I ask questions?”

“…alright then.” Jousia looks at her for a moment, then stares out of the window again. “So… there’s this other witch, Jesse. We’ve been friends for a while now. And he has a crush on me.”

Tzofiya narrows her eyes. “How do you know that?”

“I asked him because Katariina had a hunch, and he told me. That was quite some time ago though.”

Sounds about right, Tzofi thinks to herself. You wouldn’t notice anybody’s heart eyes even if they actually changed shape anatomically.
