This was my first Pride March I’d ever attended and I forgot to post the screenshots after it happened

There were so many people and it was quite an experience!

I usually tried to stay at the back with @callumthorn and @theauseer haha

It was a lil overwhelming to be in the sea of names itself, ya?

I hope to take part again this year though - it was fun! :)

Tyria Pride 2019 is on, everybody!

Citizens of Tyria! You are invited to join us in celebrating Tyria Pride 2019 this June 22nd and 23rd, starting at 16:00 CEST on EU and 4 PM EDT on NA on both days! We march primarily to show our support for gender and sexual minority players, some of which have found Guild Wars 2 to be one of a few safe places to simply be themselves and get away from the hardships they face in the outside world. In other words, we march to spread the message of positivity, acceptance and love! Allies and proponents of equality for all are especially welcome to attend, as are those who are members of LGBTQIA+ communities! In addition to having fun in-game, we also want to make a positive impact in the world by supporting a fundraiser! For the second year in a row, we are teaming up with Gamers Giving Back, who is leading the organisation on the NA side, and together we are raising funds for Rainbow Railroad, a charity focused on providing support to LGBTQ individuals seeking a safe haven from countries where their lives are at risk for simply being who they are.

Tyria Pride Parade 2019 - Day 2 Screenshots

Tyria Pride is an event I love every year but I have to say this day was the best one I had. I got to march with a bunch of friends in our own little squad. Shoutout to @sparkyopteryx @elisketching @rata-whitz @radioactivesoda-gw2 @adurolobe @ependadrawsguildwars2 and two others in our squad I don’t know your tumblrs (please tell me yours)! I also saw more friends along the way!

Thanks again to @opencommunity for organizing the event. From this gay trans man to everyone in this game, LGBT+ and allies, thank you for making this game community the best I’ve ever been in!

So many beautiful people came out for Tyria Pride 2019! I was in the parade both days and it was a blast! @commanderyes was in attendance and 2, if not 3, ArenaNet devs joined us as well! As always it felt like I didn’t take enough screenshots but I’m sure tumblr would disagree. Above are pics from the march on both Saturday and Sunday.

🏳️‍🌈💕 Nondorir went to Tyria Pride 2019! 💕🏳️‍🌈

This was my first time at Tyria Pride March, and at any pride march (because I haven’t gathered the courage to go to a real-life one before)! The athmosphere was so warm and accepting, funny banters were all over the place, with the occasional reminders that we are all valid! I couldn’t stop smiling for the entire 4-5 hours. 💖 Definitely gave me courage to go on a pride march in my city next year! Donate to Rainbow Railroad here!
