I couldn’t help but experience some kin feelings during my stay, only a bit disturbed when my friends wanted to talk with me because they had visited the museum many years before, ^^; Well, they weren’t that strong but I got some decent vibes.

Needs to get in front of a Daspletosaurus mount in the foreseeable future...

Sometimes, I want to bare my fangs, but then I realize they are unimpressively small. However, I sense the primordial being in me, an echo from a pastlife when my jaws were lined with those long and thick teeth.

Ah lovely, my books arrived today in the mail. :) I think the books are the ideal literature for my therioside / kintype, although Tyrannosaurus as a bigger relative of Daspletosaurus is prominently featured.

The graphic novel to the right was recommended by a very close friend, who is also a dinosaur therian, and I have to say I thank her for that recommendation.

Hi!! Also gonna put it under a cut but I'll tag some mutuals first, @ciarashoggoth @ochremutt @wynterwulf7 @theros but also @paracosmic-gt I'm curious to know you more!

1/ "Which category of alterhumanity do you belong to?" I don't think there's really an answer for this question because I personally think of alterhumanity as something that can't be broken down into very neat boxes and squares, even if you allow room for overlap and unlabeled folks. I could sit here for a while naming labels I identify with and sub-labels of those labels but at what point does a Category™ become a (ˢᵘᵇᶜᵃᵗᵉᵍᵒʳʸ), y'know? If therian is a category, is cladotherian, or nonhuman? TL;DR I'm too autistic for open-ended questions like this

2/ "What/who is/are your type(s)? (if you have any)" Uuh. I have a lot, some I'm still questioning, some I'm not sure of the full nature of, some I don't have words or names for, etc. I'm a conceptual darkness cryptid / birdbugbeastfishthing glowy alien computer with heartedtypes, hearthomes, fictotypes, and somewhere between 1 and 100 archetypes. Hopefully that satisfies.

3/ "Do you experience shifts? If so, can you tell us your most common shifts and your strangest cameo shift (if you've ever had a cameo shift)?" Most common shifts would be mental and phantom like most therians but I also experience a lot of different types of shift, some of which I named myself because I never saw anybody talking about them but happened to me with enough frequency to be worth personally naming. Strangest cameo shift? Ketran which is an alien from Animorphs and that should suffice as an explanation. But I've had all kinds of weird cameo shifts, I think my brain is way too open to experiencing incompatible biology lmao. Snake, tyrannosaur, theow (which is a mythical creature that's like a wolf with hooves and a mane), seal. Thing is I'm already a centipede and a fish-reptile so few physiologies are as "weird" as my normal

4/ "How do you experience your alterhumanity in everyday life?" I don't know I just… do? How do people with blue eyes experience blue eyes in everyday life? It just is a fact of life.

5/ "What do you think of the community?" Depends on when and where. But I think I'd be fine without it. I barely consider myself part of it to begin with but that's just because I'm kinda schizoid and I'll exist on the fringes of any community I'm ever part of and just be OK with that Checking in like are ya winning son and the room is on fire like usual

6/ "What are the things that make you most comfortable and euphoric in your alterhumanity?" I'm a simple critter and i love to be called or even just compared to my species and fictotypes. I still remember the one time in freshman year of college when I said something I don't even remember and my roommate jokingly called me a computer in response. One of our other roommates who was also autistic immediately reacted by admonishing her because "you can't say that to an autistic person!" while meanwhile I was just like Me? 💻🥺 you really mean it?

7/ "Are you experiencing species dysphoria?" Like at this very moment? Or

8/ "What advice would you like to say to a young alterhuman who has just awakened?" Nothing. Is. Permanent. I know that's easy for me to say because my archetype is change, but it's not just true for me, it's true for everybody. Even if your philosophy is that you have One True Kintype, you can still be wrong, and everybody is at one point or another in their journeys. Absolutely everybody. So really, take it as slow or as fast as you want, as long as you take it easy. Be forgiving and patient with yourself.

9/ "Do you have/want to have gears?" I used to have a fox tail, real too, from back when I was a fox and when I thought having gear was the win condition for the point game that is alterhumanity, right alongside coming out to people and having Tumblr followers. In essence I was 19. But it was still such a cool get and I'm still upset by losing it. One of my favorite moments was walking outside with it for the first time, on a trail in the woods, and I passed a woman who I caught looking over her shoulder at me and grinning ear to ear, an earnest, non-mocking grin like it was the first time she'd ever considered people wearing tails lmao it was so cute

As I walked past the trees, a peculiar smell wafted into my nose as the scents were amplified by the humid air and tiny rain drops fell on my face. I stopped mid-walk to sniff again, memories flaring up briefly of an ancient world I once called home with trees dwarfing me by both size and age. Was I on the prowl or just passing by? All I enjoyed were the familiar and soothing scents, while the distant form of a smaller Ceratopsian took another route away from me.

The first bite hit the base of the neck, mistakingly left unattended. The second striked the throat, each teeth opening a gash, colliding once again underneath the flesh. The hooks grasped the back while the talons collided against the flanks, making the beast topple over the foliage it once was eating. There was no need for a third bite. The pressure dropped, its fading throbbing evicting the fluids through the fresh wounds until it tinted the ground in crimson. The last ~Thump~ could still be felt, if not heard, when the mouth of the monster ripped it off the now silent chest. It was now a gift, a signal of interest, the symbol of a courtship caked in blood and bones that would, hopefully, bring forth more lives to compensate for the loss of this one heart.

Damn, I did it again  Can’t get 'nuff of ‘em. So darn handsome, I want to be one. But stuck in the Cenozoic, I dream of the Mesozoic.

Drawing with paper and pencil, I get a Daspletosaurian feel. The mighty beast has awaken, back from times long forsaken. I draw in full tyrannosaur glory, beautiful, and at times gory.

Is the drawing shaded and done, I proudly roar as one. This one is called Pete, hungry for dino meat. A Daspletosaur again, and not enough of them.

Another few questions- I've had kin feels as allosaurus for a very long while now, and I've also had kin feels for tyrannosaurus. I don't know if I was either though. Any tips?

I had a long phase of feels that bore an initial resemblance with Allosaurus. To be honest, it was also the beginning of my Theriantropy, all was so new and I tried to identify the dinosaur, that I felt in me and which is actually me. At the beginning, I knew it was rather a mid-sized (something around 8.5 m - 10 m in length) theropod and not one of those super-sized ones. And I knew for certain that “she” was a female.

Luckily, I met other (dinosaur) therians and their questions about how my Allosaurus life was, helped me to think about it. I felt always a bit vague in that aspect as if the image of my Allosaurus was rather blurry.

In dreams, I shifted more into a tyrannosaurid (which had similarities to a Daspletosaurus) than into an Allosaurus. In November 2016, I got stronger vibes that pointed toward being a tyrannosaurid. This also fits into a dream, I had as a pre-teen, where I had the body of a tyrannosaurid which looked superficially like a Tyrannosaurus but the proportions were different. I still remember, that my arms were longer in proportion, but still they looked small compared to the rest of the body and my hands had the typical two fingers.

I then ended up looking at tyrannosaurid remains to look for features, that I associate with my tyrannosaur species. I could also remember some of my prey animals, which always appeared to be blurry in case of my assumed Allosaurus kintype. Plus, the environment where I lived seemed to be distinct.

Hi! I saw your reply on my kinexperiences submission and it's great to meet another dinosaur (especially a tyrannosaur)! I'm a zhenyuanlong, which isn't the best known, but it's nice to find something that fits. I wish there were more dinosaur therians around; I thought it'd be a popular kintype but apparently not :c

Hi and welcome to my blog!I’m very glad too, even to know there are others out there, who are able to relate to one’s feelings. Well, I sensed my Daspletosaurus at a young age, but due to my lack of knowledge, I assumed to be a Tyrannosaurus with proportionally longer arms than usual. But in dreams, I got more clarity and realized that Tyrannosaurus doesn’t match, especially when I got to see the features of my head more clearly. With that information, I could have a look at fossils and skeletal drawings. And Daspletosaurus was the closest match as I also felt a strange familiarity when I looked at mounted skeletons.

That would be nice to have more dinosaur therians around, maybe there are but some of them might not be sure if they had a past life as a dinosaur.
