What are dead man walking tornadoes? :O

it’s a multi-vortex tornado. i dont remember the tribe it originates from (i think it was cherokee), but there’s a native american legend…? saying? that goes “if you see a man in a tornado, you are about to die.”

it did so much damage to the town it caused the scale that tornados are measured by, the fijita scale, undergo revisions, and it made anchoring buildings in the tornado alley region pretty much mandatory. (it took the entire town off the map. only those who had taken shelter outside of the town or in underground bunkers survived.)

How do you draw scavs so Shaped… I want to push mine more but they just look like they’re suffering and in pain and Not Having A GooD Time

There still pretty rough for me to be honest, but I do have a good idea of how I think they 'work' in terms of anatomy and physiology and I think that helps a lot.

In generally I just keep a big head and a big chest and build around that. If you watch them move around in game, they tend to barely use their hind legs and instead swing themselves around and pull themselves forward with their arms. Their almost always bent forward in that gorilla-esque stance, and I think keeping that helps a lot to maintaining their shape and vibe. It's a big part of why I kept that even when doing 'anthros'- they just don't feel right if you treat their spine like a human spine! Otherwise you can stylize the anatomy quite a bit Really though, I think fully thinking out how you think fake animals work and what theyre similar too, what is most comfortable for them in terms of movement compared to things like humans and cats, etc helps a lot

Some animals I pretty directly pull inspiration from: Gibbons: Long armed apes, although I dont think scavenger's move exactly like them. They are mostly just a good reference for how something with such weirdly proportioned arms would use them

Hares: Just overall vibes, but also their resting posture translates nice to how I consider the body to work. Greyhound (and other lean sighthounds): Large chested but very lean. Weight and fat distribution and limits between species is a neat detail to consider. With something like a greyhound, their healthy weight is very thin looking- to the point they can often *look* underweight or overweight individuals can look 'normal'. I kinda think scavengers are similar! Healthy scavengers just naturally look kinda thin and scraggly. (In contrast, I like to think slugcats are more like humans in that they have a huge range for healthy weight, but tend not to visibly show weight gain/loss unless its pretty extreme.)

Actually Emil Pagliarulo deserves to get shit on for a lot of reasons not least of all the fact that he was apparently the brains behind having a character in 4 who calls you the r slur no matter how you interact with him

Agreed that some of the writing things in fallout and Bethesda are awful, like you said, the r slurs credit card guy, awful horrible stupid why ugh. I hate that interaction so so much.

But I personally think that there is an important difference between A. Rightfully yelling about Bethesda’s garbage writing (and documentation process) and by extension, Emil’s weird / dumb takes and his apparent lack of understanding of fallout’s core themes. And B. Hating on Emil or the other Bethesda writers and sending them hate / pointless nasty tweet etc. Just because someone sucks as a person and writes garbage quests doesn’t mean they should be getting attacked constantly in my opinion.

I’m not and won’t defend him, there is a lot of awful and garbage and downright stupid writing decisions in Bethesda, and him being lead has a LOT to do with it, and I hope he either gets some understanding of the series, the fans and being a decent person, or is replaced by someone who does understand those very important things!

My point it “Your writing is awful” and “you are awful” are very different sentences!

We probably don’t see eye to eye Anon, and that’s ok!, I don’t mind, it is only MY opinion after all.

kinda! they're mostly from drabbles that i'm thinking of starting or finishing up. however, you can interpret these any way you want to since you're technically the main character 🥰

here was what i had from the drabbles. [note: toji and choso mostly go by baby for now, but there will be special nicknames from them later once i figure something out.]

- when you were a transfer to jujutsu tech in tokyo as a teacher, satoru called you 'pretty girl' during arguments to fluster you. he loved your reaction, and never missed an opportunity to playfully tease you. he keeps the nickname when you two start dating, because duh, you're very pretty.

- suguru calls you 'angel' because you met him when he was at his lowest point mentally. he felt like he'd never win against the loud, horrible thoughts in his head. then you came along. you helped him with nanako and mimiko, and you listened to him when he finally, finally opened up to you. you saved him. you're his gift. his angel.

- nanami called you 'sweetheart' once to keep you awake after a mission had gone horribly wrong and you were moments away from passing out due to your injuries. a simple nickname, but you finally saw for yourself how much you meant to the serious, 7:3 sorcerer. each time he calls you it, you remember how soft his eyes were that day.

- shiu calls you 'princess' because of the way you always, always get what you want. it started as a small joke because he, your handler, takes you around so you can complete your jobs with toji. even before you two started dating, he was spoiling the hell out of you, lol. princesses get taken care of. he doesn't like you handling anything when he's around.

- sukuna calls you 'petal' after your first meeting, which was in battle. there was fire, destruction, blood, then you, standing out and looking so pretty. a strong, powerful fighter, yet so delicate, like a rare flower he just had to have. he couldn't just kill you, that would be a waste. nope, you're joining him.
