Not to be even more of a Denathrius simp on main but can I just go off a second about how much I love the fact he’s written as having a façade the entire time, and we only see through the cracks a few times, but when we do, we see how terrifying this proper, polite and noble king can be..??? The first time he raises his voice properly at the Accuser? Shooketh. During the Revendreth cutscene at the end of the zone @ Renethal??? yikes.  and my personal favourite: how in each phase of his fight he loses more and more of that façade per phase until he’s roaring at you the entire time how badly he wants you to just die, and that you will. He was just playing with you at first, and now he’s done with it when he starts losing. Makes me think though, was he always like that? is it the excess of Sin such as wrath showing itself? Is he just done being nice and wants to go apeshit? Is it guilt? 

I dunno, I just really enjoy that in a character, particularly in a villain role. Their true colours peeking through, even as obvious as it may be, that they are not someone you want to get on the bad side of, because that side is ugly and probably be the last thing you’ll ever see.

My favourite piece of canonical Venthyr lore is that if any documentation given to them isn’t in caligraphy or some other similar art style typeface they will completely disregard it as fraudulent- even something as simple as a shopping list to orders from the high Court; if it aint fancy, it aint real, that’s sus.

Ok so, personal rant below about my absence and tw depression

First I want to apologise for lack of content recently, for the past few months my physical health has been bad and my mental health has been worse and .. still in decline. I have good days and bad days but I have no doubt that i'm in a pretty deep depression right now.

Small things set me off in anger or upset and I have been isolating pretty hard too. I've Also been struggling to keep interest in things, Guild Wars among those because frankly- dumb or immature as this may sound to some of you (I don't care if it does sorry) but it's also been a large factor to my mounting depression. I'm upset with where the story's at right now, how characters are being handled and how we're just forced to watch like nothing we do even matters. It's upsetting to me and i've been inching further away from the fan base because even seeing content is pissing me off or upsetting me too because i'm reminded of where things are at and how stupidly helpless we're made to be, how helpless our characters are made to be too, and how helpless that makes me feel as a person. It makes me feel pointless, like I’m just wasting time, time I could be spending doing other things, things that might not make me happy but what does it even matter in the end?

Correct! it is just a video game, but i'm just a writer and just a character designer and somebody whose work centers around video games, that one largely included. I am very close to my and my friends' characters and I am left to feel like everything we worked to build is ground to dust or completely unimportant and that hurts a lot. On top of real life issues, something I took solace in as an escape feels jeopardized and I don't find it... nice like I used to. Which also hurts a lot too. One of my escapes from real problems just saddles me up with more. That’s not ok, and I’m not going to let something avoidable hurt me for the sake of loving it.

a dumb idea:

I want there to be like, a GPS navigation system voice-over which is just Trahearne’s voice, and he addresses you as “Commander” with each prompt, and when you arrive at your destination he just commends you. “Well done.” (based on a conversation with @spacekeet and @nonsense-with-sottises once on a car trip)

SO I’ve decided to be brave and reblog some of my older art to try and give it a boost and also some more “regular” content.... because going through my art tag made me realise I really do only post like 1 in every 20 pictures I do D:>

A bunch of my posts were incorrectly flagged or automatically MARKED as sensitive, which is really upsetting. I had to scroll through my ENTIRE tumblr page to make sure all of my works (which are NSFW-free!!!!) weren’t flagged. 

If anything else of mine gets flagged in the next few days please please let me know so I can get it fixed, I’m not breaking any of the rules with my art... 

Also if there’s a faster way to check these things can someone let me know? They don’t seem to show on my page itself only on the preview-feed which is very annoying.
