DHIKR தமிழ்
" ASHHADU ALLA ILAHA Illallah "
◽Ashhadu Alla Ilaha Illallah
▫️The phrase “ashhadu alla ilaha illallah wa ashhadu anna muhammadarrasulullah” is known as the shahada (testament to faith) and is has a significant importance in Islam.
▫️It is a represents a fundamental concept of Islam being one of the five pillars, it’s also recited by Muslims daily during the five obligatory prayers, it is a necessary statement that must be said and understood by people who convert to Islam, and it is a form of prayer (dhikr) which should be said during ablution (wudu).
◽WHAT EXACTLY DOES ASHHADU ALLA ILAHA ILLALLAH MEAN?
▫️The meaning of ashadualla ilaha illallah wa ashhadu anna muhammadarrasulullah is “I bear witness that there is no deity (none truly to be worshipped) but, Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah”.
◽These are two testaments or professions to one’s faith:
▫️la ilaha illa llah
There is no deity but Allah.
▫️Muhammadur Rasulullah
Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.
IN ARABIC:
◽The Shahada in Arabic text,
أشهدُ أنْ لا إلهَ إلاَّ اللهُ وأشهدُ أنَّ محمّداً رسولُ الله
▫️Pronounced: Ash-hadu alla ilaha illallah, wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadar-Rasulullah
◽SAID TO BECOME A MUSLIM
▫️To join the Muslim Ummah you would recite the shahada and have 2 witnesses present. Now, having witnesses are not strictly required to convert — Allah knows all things, so a Shahada said alone, with conviction, would make you a Muslim. To become legally recognized in your local mosque and get acquainted with those in your community, you generally must make your Shahada in front of witnesses—two Muslims or an Imam. A complete understanding of the Shahada must be understood and said sincerely in order for the conversion to be taken seriously. Tricking other non-muslims to recite this phrase in a joking manner does not establish them a Muslim.
◽SAID DURING PRAYER (SALAT)
▫️During salat before the taslim (concluding portion of prayer where you recite salam) you would recite attahiyat. This dua also contains the testament of faith while you raise the index finger signifying the Tawhid or the oneness of Allah.
▫️At-Tahiy-yatu lil-lahi was-salawatu wat-tay yibatu, As-Salamy ‘alika ay-yuhan-nabiy-yu wa rahma tullahi wa barakatu, As salamu ‘alayna wa ‘ala ‘ibadil-la his-saliheen ashadu an la ilaha illallah wa ashhadu anna muhammadan rasulu llah.
◽ALSO TO BE RECITED DURING WUDU
▫️It is the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad to recite Shahada during Wudu.
▫️It was narrated that ‘Umar bin Al-Khattab said:
◽“The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘Whoever performs Wudu’ and does it well, then says: “Ashhadu an la ilaha ill-Allah was ashhadu anna Muhammadan ‘abduhu wa rasuluh (I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is his slave and Messenger),” eight gates of Paradise will be opened for him, and he may enter through whichever one he wishes.'”
Grade: Sahih (Darussalam)
Sunan An Nasai (632) and Sunan Ibn Majah (470)
▫️To a devout and practicing Muslim this one phrase would be said and heard multiple times a day as remembrance of Allah Azzawajal and his messenger.
▫️“Verily, the hypocrites seek to deceive Allah, but it is He Who deceives them. And when they stand up for As-Salat (the prayer), they stand with laziness and to be seen of men, and they do not remember Allah but little” An-Nisa ayat142
▫️Let us not get lazy and understand the meaning of what we are saying and not just pay lip service to these words.
“Take on only as much as you can do of good deeds, for the best of deeds is that which is done consistently, even if it is little.”
– Sunan Ibn Majah 4240

KALIMAH SHAHAADAH لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّٰهُ مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ ٱللَّٰهِ
The benefits of zikr Laa Ilaaha IllAllah are countless. One by reciting this professes the monotheism (the belief that there is Only One ALLAH and none is worthy for worship except HIM). ALLAH The Gracious, likes this the most. The regularity of saying Laa Ilaaha IllAllah keeps a person away from any kind of distress and hurdles.
La Ilaha Illallah Muhammadur Rasulullah Meaning And Benefits
The article will help you understand and learn the meaning of Laa Ilaaha IllAllah Muhammadur Rasulullah. Bearing witness Laa Ilaaha IllAllah” and that “Muhammadun Rasul Allah” is the first pillar of the five (5) pillars of Islam.
Laa Ilaaha IllAllah Muhammadur Rasulullah In Arabic
In Arabic (Laa Ilaaha IllAllah Muhammadur Rasool Allah is written as,
لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّٰهُ مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ ٱللَّٰهِ
Laa Ilaaha IllAllah Muhammadur Rasulullah Meaning In English
The meaning of Laa Ilaaha IllAllah Muhammadur Rasulullah is There is no deity but Allah. Prophet Muhammad is his messenger of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala.
Laa Ilaaha IllAllah means nothing worshipped is worthy of worship except Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala. Muhammadun Rasul Allah is the assertion of the message of Prophet Muhammad SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam and to believe in it and to adhere to it by speech, action and faith.
What Is Laa Ilaaha IllAllah Muhammadur Rasulullah?
As mentioned above, this statement of tawheed encompasses two concepts.
Meaning Of Laa Ilaaha IllAllah
The first phrase has two parts:
Laa Ilaaha: Which negates that anything or anyone deserves to be worshipped other than Allah.
IllAllah: Which affirms that Allah alone truly deserves to be worshipped.
Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala said:
“And (remember) when Ibraheem said to his father and his people: “Verily, I am innocent of what you worship, except Him (i. e Allah alone I worship none) Who did create me and verily,
Laa Ilaaha IllAllah Muhammadur Rasulullah Pronunciation
Here is the correct pronunciation of this phrase
Therefore it’s not sufficient to worship Allah rather you must worship Him alone.
The Tawheed of a person is not correct except by singling out Allah in worship and freeing one’s self from polytheism shirk and those who commit it.
It has been mentioned in a narration that “Laa Ilaaha IllAllah” is the key to paradise. But does everyone who says it deserve to have the door of paradise opened for him?
Wahab ibn Munabbih was asked: “isn't the statement “Laa Ilaaha IllAllah” the key to paradise? He answered:
“Yes but every key has a set of teeth. If you come with the key that has the correct set of grooves the door will open for you. If you come with a key that doesn’t have the correct set of grooves the door will not open for you.”
Many narrations have been reported from the prophet which explain the correct grooves which it must have.
For instance he SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam said:
“whoever says Laa Ilaaha IllAllah’ sincerely and he also said “with certainty in his heart and he also said “truthfully from his heart and so on.
These narrations clarify that in order for this key to open the gates of paradise ‘Laa Ilaaha IllAllah’ must be said with submission to what its meaning entails remaining firmly upon it throughout ones life and with other characteristics.
Based on evidence from the Holy Qur’an and the Sunnah, the scholars of Islam have concluded that certain conditions must be fulfilled and certain factors must not be present for this phrase to serve as the key to paradise and to benefit the person who utters it.
These conditions are as follows:
Knowledge: Its opposite is being ignorance.
Certainty [the opposite of which is doubt, and
Acceptance
Compliance: to Tawheed completely
Truthfulness: the opposite of which is lying.
Love: The believer must love this phrase, what it necessitates, and also those who act according to it.
Purity of Intention: This means to only say this statement seeing the face of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala and his pleasure.
Meaning Of Muhammadun Rasulullah
In the grave the deceased will be tested with three questions. If they answer them correctly, they will be saved, and if not, they are doomed.
One of these questions is ‘Who is your Prophet?
No one will be able to answer correctly except those who have fulfilled the conditions of this testimony, and those who Allah inspires with the answers and bestows upon him firmness in the face of this severe test.
These are the people who will benefit on that day when one’s money or relatives will be of no avail.
The conditions of the testimony of Muhammad SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam is the Messenger of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala are as follows:
Obedience to what the Prophet SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam commanded, as Allah Subhanahubwa Ta’ala commands us to obey him
“Whoever obeys the Messenger, has obeyed Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala.” Surah Nisa 80
Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala also said:
“Say if you love Allah, then follow me: Allah will love you and forgive your sins. Verily Allah is forgiving and Merciful.” Surah 3: 31
In addition to this, entering Paradise is conditional upon obedience to the Prophet SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam as he said:
“All of my community of followers will enter paradise except for those that refuse.” They said: “ Messenger of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala and who refuses ” he said: “Those that obey me will enter paradise and those that disobey me refuse”.
Bukhari
Those that truly love the Prophet SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam must obey him, since obedience is the natural outcome of love.
Those who claim to love the Prophet SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam do not follow and obey him are not true to their claim.
Belief in all what the Prophet SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam informed us.
Whoever believes anything which has been authentically confirmed to be of his statements as false out of desire has given lie to Allah and his Messenger SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam
.
The Messenger was protected from erring in religion, as Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala said:
“He doesn’t speak from his own inclination. It is indeed a revelation revealed (to him from Allah).” Surah 53: 3-4
Avoiding everything he prohibited and reproached.
The first and foremost thing that must be avoided is shirk, then the major sins, ending with the lesser sins as well as those things that are makrooh (disliked).
The more the believer loves the Prophet SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam the more his faith increases.
When a believer’s faith increases, Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala places within him the love to perform good deeds and the hate of disbelief, wickedness and disobedience.
Not worshipping Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala except by what has been legislated by is Prophet SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam
This issue is critical, for it is not allowed to worship Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala by any act except what has been shown by His Messenger SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam, as he said:
“Whoever innovates an act of worship in our religion, that thing is rejected” (Muslim).
Thus, all types of unprecedented worship is not acceptable to Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala.
Note:
Be certain that loving the Prophet SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam is an obligation. Rather, it is not enough that one merely loves him; one should love him more than erything else, even his own self.
If someone loves something, they prefer it over their self and strive to be in agreement with it.
Thus, the one who truly loves the Prophet SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam is the one upon whom this love can be seen. He obeys him, implements his Sunnah, implements his commands and imitates his deeds.
He stays clear from what he forbids, tries to behave like him both in times of ease and hardship, and in times when he feels motivated to practice Islam and otherwise.
Obedience is the fruit of love, and without it, love can never be true. There are signs which show that one loves the Prophet. From them are the following:
Mentioning him a lot and sending praises upon him. If one loves something he mentions it often.
Longing to meet him. Anyone who loves another longs to meet his beloved.
Respecting him when he is mentioned. Isha said: The companions of the Prophet SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam would not mention him after his death except that they would fall still, the hairs of their skin would stand, and they would weep.
Hating those who Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala and His Messenger SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam hate, and showing enmity to those who show enmity to them. You also should stay away from those who oppose his Sunnah and introduce new matters in his religion, such as the people of innovation (bid’ah).
Loving those who the prophet SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam loved, such as the believing members of his family, his wives, and his companions from the migrants (Muhajiroon) and the Helpers (Ansar).
You should hate those who hate them, take as enemies those who show enmity to them and curse them.
From the signs that one loves the prophet SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam is that one emulates his noble character and qualities.
The prophet SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam was the most noble of humans in character. Aishah RadiyAllahu ‘anha said of him,
“The character of the prophet SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam was that of the Holy Quran,” (Muslim)
Meaning that he kept himself from committing any act which the Holy Quran did not command.
He was the bravest of people, and he would be most brave at times of battle.
He was the most generous of people, and he would be most generous in Ramadan.
He was the most sincere towards others and the most forbearing of people.
He never sought revenge for himself, but at the same time, he was the strictest of people in regard to the commandments of Allah.
He was the most humble of people and tranquil. He was shyer than a secluded virgin.
He was the best of people to his family, and the most merciful of people towards the creation, and encouraged others to have mercy as well.
O. Allah! Send your praises upon him, his family, his wives, his companions and those who followed them in righteousness until the day of resurrection, and remove them from all harm.

The Most Important Information You Must Know About the Prayer in Islam
Following is the most important information you must know about Salah (the Prayer in Islam), and how to perform Salah (with pictures and videos.)
There are five daily prayers in Golden Age Of Islam, and Salah is the most important of them. It is a chance to commune withAllah, and thank Him for His blessings. Muslims believe that prayer is a conversation with God and that it should be done with humility and concentration.
The specifics of Salah (Muslim Prayer) are that it must be performed facing Mecca, and is performed five times a day, with the hands cupped at the chest, and the head bowed in respect. There are four main positions: standing, bowing, prostrating, and sitting. The prayer is done in cycles of these four positions, and each cycle is called a rak’ah. There are different numbers of rak’ahs for the different daily prayers, but the minimum is two.
Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) On Salah The Messenger of Allah Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) said:
Islam is built on five (pillars): Testification of ‘La ilaha illallah’ (none has the right to be worshipped but Allah), that Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) is his slave and Messenger, the establishment of Salat, the payment of Zakat, the pilgrimage to the House of Allah (Ka’bah), and Saum during the month of Ramadan.
TheProphet Muhammad(Peace Be Upon Him) also said: “The root of this matter (foundation) is Islam, its pillar (mainstay is) As-Salat (the Prayer (Salah)) and its highest point is Jihad (fighting in the Cause of Allah).”

https://www.youtucom/watch?v=ZJoMFD1kwcQbe.

TEFSIR ibn KATHIR: Surah Al-Ghashiyah Ayah 17-26
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
17 Do they not look at the camels, how they are created.
18 And at the heaven, how it is raised.
19 And at the mountains, how they are rooted. 20 And at the earth, how it is outspread. 21 So remind them -- you are only one who reminds. 22 You are not a Musaytir over them. 23 Save the one who turns away and disbelieves. 24 Then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment. 25 Verily, to Us will be their return; 26 Then verily, for Us will be their reckoning.
The Exhortation to look at the Creation of the Camel,  the Heaven, the Mountains and the Earth
Allah commands His servants to look at His creations that prove His power and greatness.
He says, Do they not look at the camels, how they are created? Indeed it is an amazing creation, and the way it has been fashioned is strange. For it is extremely powerful and strong, yet gentle, carrying heavy loads. It allows itself to be guided by a weak rider. It is eaten, benefit is derived from its hair, and its milk is drunk. They are reminded of this because the most common domestic animal of the Arabs was the camel. And at the heaven, how it is raised. Shurayh Al-Qadi used to say, "Come out with us so that we may look at the camels and how they were created, and at the sky and how it has been raised.'' Meaning, how Allah raised it in such magnificence above the ground. This is as Allah says, Have they not looked at the heaven above them, how we have made it and adorned it and there are no rifts on it? (50:6) Then Allah says, And at the mountains, how they are rooted? meaning, how they have been erected. For indeed they are firmly affixed so that the earth does not sway with its dwellers. And He made them with the benefits and minerals they contain. And at the earth, how it is outspread, meaning, how it has been spread out, extended and made smooth. Thus, He directs the Bedouin to consider what he himself witnesses. His camel that he rides upon, the sky that is above his head, the mountain that faces him, and the earth that is under him, all of this is proof of the power of the Creator and Maker of these things. These things should lead him to see that He is the Lord, the Most Great, the Creator, the Owner, and the Controller of everything. Therefore, He is the God other than Whom none deserves to be worshipped. The Story of Dimam bin Tha`labah These are the things Dimam swore by after questioning the Messenger of Allah. This can be seen in what Imam Ahmad recorded from Thabit, who reported that Anas said, "We were prohibited from asking the Messenger of Allah anything. Thus, it used to amaze us when an intelligent man from the people of the desert (Bedouin Arabs) would come and ask him about something while we were listening. So a man from the people of the desert came and said, `O Muhammad! Verily, your messenger has come to us and he claims that you claim that Allah sent you.' He (the Prophet) said, (He told the truth.) The man said, Who created the heaven He (the Prophet) replied, Allah. The man said, Who created the earth He (the Prophet) replied, Allah. The man said, "Who erected these mountains and placed in them whatever is in them" He (the Prophet) replied, Allah. Then the man said, `By the One Who created the heaven, the earth, and erected these mountains, did Allah send you He (the Prophet ) said, (Yes.) The man then said, `Your messenger claims that we are obligated to pray five prayers during our day and night.' He (the Prophet ) said, (He told the truth.) The man then said, `By He Who has sent you, did Allah command you with this' He (the Prophet ) replied, (Yes.) The man then said, `Your messenger also claims that we are obligated to give charity from our wealth.' He (the Prophet ) said, (He told the truth.) Then the man said, `By He Who has sent you, did Allah command you with this' He (the Prophet) replied, (Yes.) The man then said, `Your messenger claims that we are obligated to perform pilgrimage (Hajj) to the House (the Ka`bah), for whoever is able to find a way there.' He (the Prophet ) said, (He told the truth.) Then the man turned away to leave while saying, `By He Who has sent you with the truth, I will not add anything to these things and I will not decrease anything from them.' The Prophet then said, If he has spoken truthfully, he will certainly enter  Paradise. This Hadith was recorded by Al-Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Dawud, At-Tirmidhi, An-Nasa'i and Ibn Majah. The Messenger is only charged with delivering the Message Allah says, So remind them -- you are only one who reminds. You are not a Musaytir over them, meaning, "O Muhammad! Remind the people with what you have been sent with to them.'' your duty is only to convey (the Message) and on Us is the reckoning. (13:40) Then Allah says, You are not a Musaytir over them. Ibn `Abbas, Mujahid and others said, "You are not a dictator over them.'' This means that you cannot create faith in their hearts. Ibn Zayd said, "You are not the one who can force them to have faith.'' Imam Ahmad recorded from Jabir that the Messenger of Allah said, I have been commanded to fight the people until they say La ilaha illallah (none has the right to be worshipped except Allah). So if they say that, they have safeguarded their blood and wealth from me - except for what is rightfully due from it - and their reckoning is with Allah, the Mighty and Majestic.'' Then he recited, So remind them - you are only one who reminds. You are not a dictator over them - This is how Muslim recorded this Hadith in his Book of Faith, and At-Tirmidhi and An-Nasa'i also recorded it in their Sunans in the Books of Tafsir. This Hadith can be found in both of the Two Sahihs. The Threat for Whoever turns away from the Truth Concerning Allah's statement, Save the one who turns away and disbelieves. meaning, he turns away from acting upon its pillars, and he disbelieves in the truth with his heart and his tongue. This is similar to Allah's statement, So he neither believed nor prayed! But on the contrary, he belied and turn away! (75:31-32) Thus, Allah says, Then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment. Allah then says, Verily, to Us will be their return; meaning, their place of return and their resort. Then verily, for Us will be their reckoning. meaning, `We will reckon their deeds for them and requite them for those deeds.' If they did good, they will receive good, and if they did evil, they will receive evil. This is the end of the Tafsir of Surah Al-Ghashiyah and all praise and blessings are due to Allah.

How can we strengthen our faith? Could you give information about the increase and decrease of faith, investigative faith and imitative faith and the importance of faith?
Faith is a light, a blessing from Allah. However, faith is knowledge at the same time, which must be necessarily learnt. There are two ways to strengthen our faith:
The first and the primary one is to learn the rules of the sunnah and to investigate it in accordance with the Quran and the sunnah, as required by our time.
The second one is to advance in spirituality through performing good deeds, purifying the heart and soul by avoiding sins.
However, the course of this century makes the second way really difficult to take. For this reason, it is very important to read books which teach investigative faith. It has also become essential to study science as a feature of our century, besides studying religious knowledge. This is because the light of the mind is science as the light of the heart is religious knowledge. We can state that one of the most important books which teach both of them together is Risali-i Nur Collection. In addition, one can benefit very well from books of significant people such as Imam Ghazali, Imam Rabbani, Imam Mawardi and Imam Qushairi.
Protecting and enhancing faith is a Muslim’s most important issue. It is necessary to attach importance to taqwa (God-Consciousness) in order to protect faith. Faith can only be protected within the castle of taqwa. Without taqwa, faith tends to deteriorate. It is necessary to read and make research on books about faith a lot in order to enhance faith. Issues about faith which result from knowledge do not have effect on one’s feelings unless it is filtered through reasoning. Firstly, mind must be satisfied.
Contemplation is very important. The fact that Prophet Abraham found his Lord by watching the moon and stars and contemplating is narrated in the Quran. Faith improves with thinking. For this reason, it is stated in hadith that “One hour of contemplation is superior to one year of nafilah (supererogatory) prayer.”
Environment has a great influence on human being. Sins suggest people infidelity. Suggestion has a great influence on human beings. It infuses infidelity into one’s sub-conscious though people are unaware of it. For this reason, one must keep away from from sinful places as much as possible. Sins committed outside carelessly suggest people that there are not hereafter and punishment. To be protected from the negative effects of such suggestions, one must keep away from sinful places as much as possible and try to suggest people goodness and prevent them from evil as much as s/he can. One needs to study issues about faith a lot and pay attention to delivered messages in order to compensate for the damages of the negative suggestions which s/he has been imposed to. It is necessary to meet often with people who care about good deeds and live in accordance with taqwa. In this sense, the importance of a community (jama’ah) becomes more obvious. Just like sins suggest infidelity, good deeds suggest faith.
What is the essence of faith?
Faith, in its essence, is the greatest and kindest blessing from Allah to human beings. Allah bestows it upon whomever He wishes. However, it cannot be said that human beings do not play a role in this bestowment. Contrarily, first of all, a human being must be willing to have faith and righteousness using his/her choice and free will. Allah will bestow faithfulness and righteousness upon him/her because of this will and demand. For this reason, Islamic scholars described faith as “It is the light that Allah places in His servants’ hearts after servants display a partial will and choice.
Are There Degrees and Development in Faith?
Faith develops like a seed develops and grows into a tree. Islamic scholars divided faith into two levels firstly:
1. Imitative faith, 2. Investigative faith…
Imitative Faith: having faith in the pillars of faith in the way one has seen from parents, hodjas and people around, without any reasoning about them. As imitative faith is a kind of faith that one believes without comprehending the pillars, consciousness and details of faith, one can be subject to some doubts and misgivings especially in our time and it may lead to the destruction of faith.
Investigative Faith: having faith in all issues about faith in a detailed way with proofs, and confirming them. Such a faith can prevent itself from being destructed by doubts and misgivings. Investigative faith has got many levels. Islamic scholars have classified those levels in three parts:
1. Certainty at the degree of knowledge: knowing issues about faith together with all of its details, with proofs and having faith in them.
2. Certainty at the degree of witnessing: knowing issues about faith and having faith in them as if you have seen them with your own eyes and witnessed their trueness. Believing with knowledge and witnessing are very different in terms of giving one a precise conviction. One can know something exactly without having any doubts, yet if s/he witnesses it, his/her conviction increases. Like the difference between knowing that America exists and seeing it… So, certainty at the degree of witnessing is the state of believing in the pillars of faith as if one has seen them with his/her own eyes.
3. Absolute certainty: Accepting and comprehending issues about faith by experiencing them in person, apart from witnessing. An example can be given in order to explain those three degrees of faith: A man who sees smoke coming from somewhere knows that there is a fire burning over there. Knowing that there is a fire by seeing smoke from a distance refers to “certainty at the degree of knowledge”. Then he goes to the place where the smoke comes from and sees the fire with his own eyes from a distance. It refers to “certainty at the degree of witnessing”. Then he goes close to the fire and feels its warmness, and it refers to “absolute certainty”.
Is Imitative Faith Enough in Our Day?
As we have mentioned above, imitative faith encounters many misgivings and doubts and eventually is subject to breaking down because of those doubts in our day. One scholar explains why imitative faith is not enough in our day though it was enough in the past as follows:
“People were in need of religion and power of spirituality in every period of time. However, this need has become an obligation in our day. Our ancestors used to live peacefully with quite a simple knowledge of religion and traditions, that is, with imitative faith; because, all social neighborhood around them suggested them religion and morals.
Today, everything has changed. Religious feelings have weakened and good manners of religious respect have been replaced by an insolent disrespectfulness. Families have gotten smaller and family relations have loosened. Financial burden of the family have been placed merely on spouses and parents have started to neglect to educate their children in terms of religion because of financial needs of the family. On the other hand, schools and universities have become places of anti-religionist propaganda. Today, a simple knowledge of religion has become inefficient in the atmosphere which has become hazier because of the invective words and resistance of obstinate deniers.
Questions such as “What is religion?”, “What is the relationship between religion and science?” and “What should religion do and what should be its place compared to science today?” preoccupy minds more than ever now. Especially educated young people need to know the answers to those questions.”
The knowledge of religion and faith to be given to people today must have an investigative content that combines science and religion and that convinces the mind and reason about the issues of faith. Otherwise, simple knowledge of religion and imitative faith in the form of traditions will be far away from satisfying the people especially the young people of today.
What is the Importance of Faith for Human Beings?
1. Faith is the reason why human beings were created. That is to say, they were created so that they would recognize the Creator through faith and worship Him. If one acts in accordance with this reason of creation, s/he will reach eternal bliss in the Hereafter and will enter Heaven. Otherwise, s/he will enter Hell and be subject to eternal misery and unhappiness.
In this sense, faith is a means of gaining eternal happiness and the key to Heaven for human beings. Without faith, there is no Heaven. For this reason, it is a more precious blessing than the world and than anything in the whole world for a human being to have faith and to keep this faith until his/her last breath without losing it or letting it weaken. Our Prophet said in one of his hadiths “renew your faith by saying ‘la ilaha illallah” because of the importance of faith and emphasized the importance of renewing and keeping faith. One can come up with a question like “Is there a possibility of faith to weaken or to get lost since it is suggested to renew it continuously?”
Badiuzzaman, explains the issue of renewing faith as an answer to the question above, as follows: “Since man himself and the world in which he lives are being continuously renewed, he needs constantly to renew belief. For in reality each individual human being consists of many individuals. He may be considered as a different individual to the number of the years of his life, or rather to the number of the days or even the hours of his life. For since a single individual is subject to time, he is like a model and each passing day clothes him in the form of another individual. Furthermore, just as there is within man this plurality and renewal so also is this world in which he lives in motion. It goes and replaced by another. It varies constantly. Every day opens the door of another world. As for belief, it is both the light of the life of each individual in that person, and it is the light of the world in which he lives. And as for ‘There is no god but God’, it is a key with which to turn on the light. Then the instinctual soul, desire, doubts and Satan exercise great influence over man. In order to damage his belief, they are much of the time able to benefit from his negligence, to trick him with their wiles, and thus to extinguish the light of belief with doubts and uncertainty. Also, man is prone to act and utter words which apparently oppose the Shari’a, and which in the view of some religious authorities are no less than unbelief. Therefore, there is need to renew belief all the time, every hour, every day.” (The Letters, 26th Letter)
Those statements emphasize the importance of renewing belief from three points of view:
The first point: one’s mood, ideas and understanding can often change depending on the period of time in which he lives, the place he is in and the neighborhood he is in contact with. Events he has been subject to, the things he has done and the people he has been in contact with impress him in a positive or negative way. Our Prophet states the following on the issue: “A true believer’s heart is subject to more changes than a boiling pot…” “The heart is like a sparrow. It can head towards anywhere at any time.” “The heart is like a bird’s wing thrown to the fields. The heart can change like wind turns this wing upside down.” It is ordered to renew faith by saying “la ilaha illallah (there is no god but God)” in the hadith because of the fact that human heart and mood are subject to external influence.
The second point: Human beings have got negative feelings such as instinctual soul, desires and doubts, and Satan constantly tries to deceive them and suggest them evil. It is possible that those negative suggestions will make people to have doubts about faith while they are careless. It is necessary to renew faith in order to avoid such a state.
The third point: One cannot totally keep away from some words and sayings which are against Shari’a and also considered to be disbelief by some Islamic scholars. For this reason, renewing faith by saying “la ilaha illallah” is essential. Another way of strengthening and keeping faith is to save it from imitative level by turning it into investigative faith. And it can be realized only by reading works about faith which teach the realities of faith in an investigative way and respond to all doubts and misgivings one can think of, and by making conversations on faith constantly. If a person upgrades his faith from imitative level to investigative level, there is no possibility for him to lose faith and to pass away to the Hereafter as an unbeliever. Islamic scholars stated that Satan will come and try to deceive people with all of his tricks and misgivings in order to take their faith away while they are about to die. For this reason, Islamic scholars stated that they were afraid of the moment of death. People can be protected from such suggestions at the moment of death with the help of investigative faith; because, in investigative faith, faith is not only in mind, but also in heart, soul, other senses and feelings. Even though Satan may damage the faith in one’s mind, he cannot manage to take the faith in other senses away. In this way, that person remains and dies as a believer.
2. Faith is also a great source of high spirits and endurance. A person who gains true faith can challenge the world and escape the suppression of the troubles he has encountered with the power of his faith. Our victories, which honor the history and inspire authors to write legends, are doubtlessly a good example to the power and might which faith earns a person. A faithful person can react to events and troubles he has been through with sturdiness, can be patient and put up with them, with the help of trust in God which faith earns a person. A faithful person does not become hopeless and pessimistic, does not choose to rebel and complain. It results from the power and might the faith has earned him. Faithless people can easily end their lives by committing suicide when they encounter an insignificant trouble as they become desperate and hopeless. While in Islamic countries committing suicide is so rare, it increases day by day in the world’s most civilized and wealthy countries, which confirms it. The Prophet points out to the power and endurance the faith earns a person in his hadiths: “A true believer resembles green plants. The continuous winds of trouble bend them, yet they cannot break them down. Contrarily, they enable them to pursue their lives and become healthier. However, hypocrites (and infidels) are like faded plants. Their leaves fall down and their body breaks down and they die with the winds of trouble.”
“How astonishing a true believer is! If he encounters goodness, he gives thanks; if he encounters evil, he endures. And this way he makes both of those states good for himself.”

I think the only reason you have an advantage mom, is because Allah still rewards disbelievers in Allah and the Last Day in this world.  Even though if you die not confessing with your tongue and not believing in your heart "la ilaha illallah" there is no God but Allah.   Those good deeds you did will not help you after you die unless you start these first two pillars of Islam at least.  The shahada and salat.
But the reason you have an advantage over Monica, is because you are assisting in charity that is defined by Islamic texts, and is not nullified by any of the nullifiers.  When i do some of my secret or open acts of sadaqah.  And the one who helps facilitate the charity is you,
So that's why when i have dreams of Mom's household, and then Coca Cabra household.  Mom's house had cute cats and animals.  And even though in real life the Coca family is keeping cute animals too.. I believe the dream is symbolic of hidden intentions and Coca Cabra family household was surrounded by death and gloom,.and the house was completely bare and empty.  And Raquel was pretending to be nice till the rest of the family returned to abuse me.
But mom's house in the same dream, was full of cats and cute animals.  We are rewarded for our intentions.  I believe this dream i had around the end of 2019 is symbolic of intentions, and Coca Cabra family is not sincere in one single action they do, and not truthful in one single word they say, and not sincere in one single intention, there is always an ulterior motive.
You don't want your Hereafter Home to be like death and gloom of a family of narcissistic predators i interpret the dream that there's a chance that you aren't going to continue behaving like the Coca Cabra family.  May Allah guide thou.  Ameen.

The journey that changed my Life
My first time in Prang was, five years after Shaykh Abdullahi Maikano (ra) has transitioned to (Barzakh) isthmus. I had had so much terror, heard so much rumors growing up in the area of New Fadama, Accra. Enough, after a 7 hour journey with my paternal Brothers from Bawku living here in Nima, they chanted so much Dhikr as the vehicle moved non-stop till we got to our final destination, Prang in the Brong Ahafo Region. I said to myself, Indeed there's more terror ahead. Lo and behold, it was an adventurous journey and a rebirth into a mystical world, Sufism. We arrived on Thursday Morning, I established contact with a friend Romeo and Mohammad Ahmad Abu Faili whom were already there, whiles my brother Basiru Ali who connected me to the Caravan at Achimota, was on his way to Prang on a motorbike. I was overwhelmingly overwhelmed!! With so much horrors withheld, different misconceptions and doubts, I saw people but with a different view. People welcomed me, but inwardly I never did welcome them. I saw Brothers and I sense their strong Brotherhood which seems heavenly endowed but weird to me. They love extending hands for a shake, You escape one without seeing the other smiling, rejoicing, excited, I mean super-excited. I began to get relief. Bought some kebab, two guinea fowls, yams, tomatoes, onions, garlic and some peppers on Friday Morning at a fairly price. It was a Market day and the brothers we went along were good shoppers and bargained well. As Brother Sly, Romeo and others prepare the food, I went to bathe at the River ''Gulbi'', which is connected to River Pra. The town was about to lit, we counted over 200 cars as they arrive till we got tired and counted no more. The town was over-crowed, network connection seized and the area was jamming with Dhikr, as passengers get down from their various caravans with their leader or Muqaddam to sign a register at the Secretary of Shaykh Abdullahi Maikano (ra). This register generated was to account for the people in catering for their water, food needs, I heard from a source where a man said ''Were Mallam Maikano not be a saint and miracle worker, with his strict orders and principality, he will indeed have made a mighty nation.'' I believed what I saw and it affirmed what the Man said earlier. We had a powerful Jumuah led by Khalifa, People went back to their various lounges and apartments. The street was choked, what a Human traffic. Some people living in close towns like Ejura, Atebubu, Yeji went back to relax as they prepare for Hailallah, Wazeefah and other activities. Whiles some just came in to observe Jumuah amidst tens of thousands of Muslims. It was all beautiful, till we went to the Mawlid ground, as Brother Basiru got in, we went around and made some visitation (ziyarah) to friends, family and Shuyukhs, I wasn't aware nor informed about the practices and norms there so I joined when I felt like, asked different questions from different people and received answers to either clear my doubts and misconceptions or increase it. Around 12am as the Family of the Grand Shaykh (ra) arrived in, I heard a soothing and angelic, Tajweding in a supra voice reciting a verse (ayah) from the Holy Quran in a way I had long longed for, I was stroke and I could barely stand on my feet. I questioned my brother who that reciter was ''Shaykh Nasrullah'' he responded, my mind was trembling and inwardly I recited: Iza ja'a nasrullahi wal fath* wa ra'aytan nasa yad khuluna fi dini Allahi afwajan* fasabih bihamdi rabika wastagfiruhu innahu kana tawwabah. Then I was guided, I was divinely attracted, pulled and hence enraptured to the affairs of Awliya'Allah. Surah Yusif Chapter 12 Verse 21 Reads ''...And Allah hath full power and control over His affairs; but most among mankind know it not.'' We thank God for his light, It is true Men will see the light, if they walk in that light they will someday be the Light. As our Guide, Shaykh Abulfaid Maikano keeps hammering ''This Mawlid is for our benevolent Master, Shaykh Ahmad Tijani even Shaykh Abdullahi Maikano was also invited.'' Let us join hands and receive this invitation, save the date; 4th November, 2017 lets go along. -------
2 years before this illustrious journey of mine to Prang, I had traveled with my Mother Sayyidah Lailah, tracing back to Our roots, where our Ancestors lived, talked, walked, taught, fought and were buried to rest. They were Gurus and their spirit needs rejuvenation to fill the born and unborn Children to dine and shine. Typical example was the father of Musah Gunguma, the khebab seller in our hood (unguwan Adarawah), New Fadama, Who fought with a Lion all my Himself and came home victorious. Alone in a thick bush, despite having a deficient eye which was caused from an attack by gang of thieves on their way to Nigeria by Road. He slew the lion with his mighty Sword (takobi), the very place that event occurred was cited to me, it still rings in mind, that; My Ancestors are Warriors, I must grow to be a Warrior too! My Ancestors are Warriors, I must grow to be a Warrior too!. Whiles in Niger we toured 2 Regions, Niamey and Tahoua. We visited many places and introduced to family and relatives and they helped and oriented me into things I cannot pen. I am really indebted to Mom, for taking me home with little Sister Ruqayya. She is a kind and generous mother, No amount can describe a Mother's worth, I love you Mom! I was told Kaolack, Chota, Bagay, Sokoto and Katsina do commemorate Mawlid sameday in Rabi'al-awwal (3rd Hijri Month). My father's village, Bagay had a grand and mini-grand Mawlid presided by the household of Shaykh Ahmad Yaluna (ra) with a week intervals, so I said to Myself, since we missed the grand Mawlid, the semi-grand we must not miss. Mawlid in Niger is followed by slaughtering 100s of cows, 100s of Camels, and unlimited number of goats and sheeps, shared to households to host and accommodate guests. Celebrated the 1st Mawlid outside the perimeter of Ghana with my senior Sister, Nasara who leads, as Brother Tahiru (May his soul rest in Peace) follows, Myself, Habiba and Hafsa Abdu our last born. We talked and shed moment whiles preparing, a family Re-union and Mawlid Day!. I rode back on my Uncle's Camel to the Mawlid ground, the Camel was adorned, I was dressed all white and received a Royal treatment, Home is Home it was a journey to record, a fragrance to inhale. Surprisingly on arrival I saw a vast spacious land, thus the parking lot for the Caravans; Camels, Donkeys Horses and a few cars and royal motorbikes, as my Uncle rested the Camel we joined the Celebrants. Amazed to see another acres of land being filled with grains, roots, animals, sack-bags, different species of foods, raw materials and business Capitals. I questioned what was this for? My Uncle replied. ''They are all seeking to be touched and receive the active blessing (barakah) of the blessed birth (ayhuwan) of the Holy Prophet respectively.'' The Women birthed good children, Farmers make good harvest, those business capital regenerate more income, upon the Blessing of Muhammad. May Allah grant us that blessing too, we need it now more than ever. The Mawlid was interwoven with Dhikr. I remember a few lines in mind ragingly'' Allah Allah Rabbana Salli ala Mustafa Allah Allah Rabbana Salli ala Mustafa Wa kukaso, Mustafa!, wa mukabi Mustafa!! (O God, Dear God Shower Blessings upon our Master the Chosen one, Whom we dearly love, whom we dearly follow guidance to your Majestic Presence). La ilaha illalah Allah, la ilaha illallah, lailaha illallah Allah la illah illallah (Profession and attesting of faith, the first Pillar of Islam). After my ether has been soaked by Shaykh Nasrullahi Maikano with recital of al-Quran, I reflected on some settings in Prang, which tuned with that in Bagay. I was really moved. I thought it was raining unknowingly it was tears dropping from my eyes, rather than from the sky, Subhan'Allah!!!. I thought that, for a Man to cry openly was a weakness, or thus being too emotionally, something like a girlish thing, I wiped that tears hurriedly. The settings in Prang; The Mawlid ground was grouped into groups, chairs arranged orderly, roped fence, women on the other side as men on the one side, The venerable and honorable guests in a section (VIP) and family of Shaykh Maikano Jallo (ra) in front line as the Khalifa sits on the Throne, majestic seat of the Father, as Heir and Viceregent of the Secret. A few Caravans were packed on the Mawlid ground, with many prayer mats and water ready to be supplied for ablution, when the time was due for Subhi Prayers. For the 2nd time I prayer in between multitude, People from different countries, who spoke unanimous languages, look different than I am but we were One in the Spirit-of-Allah, the Most High. Raised hands in Surrender to the one true God (Allah) saying ''Allahu Akbar'' (God is the Greatest), as Imam lead we followed, prostrated and knelt in line, what a perfect unison that was, this performance of religious ritual prayer amidst tons of Believer reminds me of Hajj; the Holy City, Mecca and Illuminated city Medina, as taught in my early days in Makaranta. May Allah grant us means to visit there someday. The celebration was wit and blended with Dhikr different than that of Bagay, except the profession of faith, which is a Universal tone for Muslim. I remember one Dhikr they chanted and danced and Others were making money rain on the Singer ''La illaha illallah allah Shaykh Tijani kaakan Awliyah. (An elegy in Praise of the Grand Shaykh by Tijanis with so much reverence to Him). The one who experiences the most wins, I believe with no doubt Love is the goal of our Shaykh and that is the reason for visiting the Shaykh, to obtain the love of God and spread it forth. Wassalamu Alaykum.
--------------
If my memory served me right, was it in 2010 that the Museum(interim) displayed stuffs of Shaykh Maikano? ah, well I was opportuned to see, touch and feel some of the stuffs of the Shaykh; his ring, sun glass, hair, some of his books, Tesbihs, Holy Qurans, turban, clothes, mighty sword honored to Shaykh from the Royal Kingdom of Hijaz (Saudi Arabia), a portfolio bag in-which he made his last contribution of 50 million Cedis from, towards the Mosque renovation of Zaweyatu Shaykh Ahmada Tijani al-qubra in Kumasi, the blue-black thick robe (al-kebba) which he was gifted at Medina Fez, Morocco as a sign and indication of Him being a regent and a bearer of the Saintly Seal al-Tijani (ra).
In my early twenties, as a freshman indoctrinated and afflicted by the Salafi/Wahhabi syndrome, surrounded by people who bad mouth Shaykh, I grew to dislike Shias, Sufis and was unpleasant hearing Dhikr aloud (jahran), hated Salat al-Fatihi, neither was I encouraged to recite Salatul Ibrahimiyyah or any other Salawat on the Prophet like the Tijanis and other Sufis are mandated to do. The Most High God and His Angels bless and honor the Prophet, and ordained Believers to follow suit. In the Holy Quran.;
''Allah and His angels send blessings on the Prophet: O ye that believe! Send ye blessings on him, and salute him with all respect.the Believers.'' Surah al-Ahzab 22 verse 56.
I being traumatized hated the Tijani folks, most especially Sidi Muhammad Bakr (the discipline whom Allah reflected Salatil Fatihi on a golden card mystically engraved after his 13 years in khalwa, a Spiritual retreat). Later, I found-out that Imam Ali Ibn Abi Talib (ra), The cousin and son-in-law of Muhammad used to recite Salatil Fatihi but in a different form, Imam Sulayman Jazuli, the author of Dala'ilul Khayrat cited Salatul Fatihi in his magnum opus, with unlimited Prayers and benediction in Praise of the Prophet, until recently I never knew that. Little did I know, how systematical misinformed have I been, O Wretched Poor me!!!!!!!!
I had consumed much for myself from my first journey, my mind was so terrified and flavored with the good, bad and ugly. I still recount around Prang Post Office, whereby some guys were quarreling and to the extend of using weapon, Incredible speaking it takes a man to fight a man but that scared the hell out of me, The woodencrafts (janfal), ambulates (layyoyi), theft occurrences. Already been scaled to measure everything with haram and halal, I became judge of everything that I saw, how pitiful that was.. In recent times, things have change, Khalifa shutdown the cacophonyical misconduct, all matters and issues causing chaos and confusion is brought forth to the Authority, Police and security forces.
Angola base launched an album of Dhikr, and it was all seasoned over in Prang, La ilaha illa allah, La illaha Illah Allah. Our entrance in the resting place (tomb) of Shaykh Abdullahi Maikano was never a new thing to me, some People say, ''He is being worshiped, revered and raised high as a deity'' I challenge them because of my upbringing, I knew the importance of visiting the dead especially the pious one, in my area New Fadama, On Fridays we used to follow Mallam Abdul-Qadir (Mallam Thousand) chanting Dhikr 'Allah la ilaha ilallah Allah la ilaha illah'' to the tomb of Imam Abass and his Brother Imam Mukhtar (rtanhum) as kids and the Mallam inturn reward us with biscuits, toffees, and freshly 1000 cedis notes each. If Mallam Thousand can reward us with toffees and extra money, then the Almighty Merciful God will reward us abundantly. We prayed on the Tomb of Shaykh Maikano and asked for Allah's blessing upon this Pious servant of His, May Allah reward him by Himself.
I thank Allah for my experiences and how it has helped in reshaping me into a better person than I used to, I seek refuge from Allah from the accused Devil and the evil whispering from my lower-self. Astagfirullah wa atubhu ilayhi.
---------------------
The long time deprivation was coming to it's end, grew much fondness and passion for Shaykh Abdullahi Maikano and his Community. Walking flanking like an airwaves who have become an Ambassador of Light, Crusading and reaching out to family and friends (hal yaran al-naasu ma 'ara?) Do you not see what I'm seeing lovely people? My first trip to Medina Jallo shrinked and ingested so much into me, time was much needed, to get it all digested, for my mind to settle down and to be distill.
It took me two years to get back to Prang after my first appearance there, I saw new developments too, I had fathomed much as from the first. I missed a lot, the group Dhikr (sama), the taste of Dhikr tailoring the community, the coming of Shaykh Kabiru Kano (ra), Sharu Ahmed Bello (ra) and their Praise singer ''Madha Mei-Annabi'', and the speech by Shaykh Aliu Kalamul Faidah Ibn Maikano (ra) that clamored controversies in the Community ''Son Baaba ba dooley ba ne'' he said, which means, ''Loving Shaykh Maikano is not compulsory''. Actions are judged by intentions, and Allah knows best!
I heard a man on the Radio praise shopping. I swear. He said that shopping is the modern version of going to the marketplace. It's the way we see each other, get a feeling for each other, feel included in the social fabric. This reminds me of a brother we met Last week, Salihu. ''Muslims are back from Hajj, we are going for our Hajj.'' He passionately said. I have heard many at-times where ardents refer Prang to as ''Paris'' is it because of The Eiffel Tower? I think not, it might be because of the City's fragrance and nice interwoven smell and taste of things. Our Shaykh has made Hajj and Umrah with His family, disciples many many times, yet still the community admonishes us, not to be heedless and strive to perform Hajj or Umrah once in our lifetime, the least.
My point is, to meet people from all walks of life, to perform religious rites, celebrate and connect in the Divine Line is very rewarding be it in Saudi Arabia, Africa, Asia or Europe. As part and parcel of Hajj's obligatory is ''Arafah'' which is the recitals, performance of religious acts on Mount Arafah in Mecca. Arafah Literally means to know! and if the real substance of Hajj is know, then whom must we know? and for what reason?
The activities in Prang envelops us in the world of colors, textures, fragrances. You don't have to buy anything. But you can touch everything. Variety of books, fabrics, fragrances, tesbihs, Islamic prayer accessories and essential displayed stuffs you can't skip without having a second look. All your senses can be used when you shop--hearing, seeing, smelling, tasting, touching. In recent years I have met more family and friends from my area (New Fadama, Accra) joined us in Commemoration service in Prang, I am overwhelmingly delighted with that, I believe we are the future, unless we are well informed or oriented we will end-up fighting.
A group of 7 men with 3 powerful ladies, gave Shaykh Maikano one big couch as hadya, which has an engravement of this ayah ''Fas'alu Ahla Adh-Dhikri In Kuntum La Ta'lamun" (Quran 21:7), ''So ask the People of the Reminder if you do not know''.
My story focuses on someone from one side or the other who needs to get out or who lives for the glory of their side and is blindfolded by the Reality. I urge us to Wake up, get out, it's never late. Sides are the problem but truth is not, may we spot truth and Goodness wherever it is.
Congratulations for staying with me and reading through my journal, it was such a tough journeying together with you in my past-present.

Two pillars of La Ilaha illAllah
Two pillars of La Ilaha illAllah
Two parts of 'La ilaha illallah'. The main demand of La ilaha illallah is to reject Taghut. One must first deny or reject Taghut and then believe in Allah. Otherwise your Tauhid will not be pure. The simple meaning of لا إله إلا الله (La ilaha illallah) is - La ilaha: there is no god, IllAllah: besides Allah. La-ilaha illallah is the complete, greatest and most perfect and pure kalema..

Tafsir Ibn Kathir: Surah Al-Baqarah Ayah 198
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
198. There is no sin on you if you seek the bounty of your Lord (during pilgrimage by trading). Then when you leave Arafat, remember Allah (by glorifying His praises, i.e., prayers and invocations) at the Mash`ar-il-Haram. And remember Him (by invoking Allah for all good) as He has guided you, and verily you were before, of those who were astray.
Commercial Transactions during Hajj
Allah says;
There is no sin on you if you seek the bounty of your Lord.
Al-Bukhari reported that Ibn Abbas said,
"Ukaz, Mijannah and Dhul-Majaz were trading posts during the time of Jahiliyyah. During that era, they did not like the idea of conducting business transactions during the Hajj season. Later, this Ayah was revealed: (There is no sin on you if you seek the bounty of your Lord), during the Hajj season.''
Abu Dawud and others recorded that Ibn Abbas said,
"They used to avoid conducting business transactions during the Hajj season, saying that these are the days of Dhikr. Allah revealed: (There is no sin on you if you seek the bounty of your Lord (during pilgrimage by trading))."
This is also the explanation of Mujahid, Sa`id bin Jubayr, Ikrimah, Mansur bin Al-Mutamir, Qatadah, Ibrahim An-Nakhai, Ar-Rabi bin Anas and others.
Ibn Jarir reported that Abu Umaymah said that; when Ibn Umar was asked about conducting trade during the Hajj, he recited the Ayah: (There is no sin on you if you seek the bounty of your Lord (during pilgrimage by trading)).
This Hadith is related to Ibn Umar with a strong chain of narrators.
This Hadith is also related to the Prophet, as Ahmad reported that Abu Umamah At-Taymi said,
"I asked Ibn Umar, `We buy (and sell during the Hajj), so do we still have a valid Hajj?'
He said, `Do you not perform Tawaf around the House, stand at Arafat, throw the pebbles and shave your heads?'
I said, `Yes.'
Ibn Umar said, `A man came to the Prophet and asked him about what you asked me, and the Prophet did not answer him until Jibril came down with this Ayah: (There is no sin on you if you seek the bounty of your Lord (during pilgrimage by trading)).
The Prophet summoned the man and said: You are pilgrims.''
Ibn Jarir narrated that Abu Salih said to Umar,
"`O Leader of the faithful! Did you conduct trade transactions during the Hajj?''
He said, "Was their livelihood except during Hajj!''
Standing at Arafat
Allah said:
Then when you leave Arafat, remember Allah (by glorifying His praises, i.e., prayers and invocations) at the Mash`ar-il-Haram.
Arafat is the place where one stands during the Hajj and it is a pillar of the rituals of Hajj. Imam Ahmad and the Sunan compilers recorded that Abdur-Rahman bin Yamar Ad-Diyli said that he heard Allah's Messenger saying:
Hajj is Arafat, (thrice). Hence, those who have stood at Arafat before dawn will have performed (the rituals of the Hajj). The days of Mina are three, and there is no sin for those who move on after two days, or for those who stay.
The time to stand on Arafat starts from noon on the day of Arafah until dawn the next day, which is the day of the Sacrifice (the tenth day of Dhul-Hijjah). The Prophet stood at Arafat during the Farewell Hajj, after he had offered the Zuhr (noon) prayer, until sunset. He said, "Learn your rituals from me.''
In this Hadith (i.e., in the previous paragraph) he said,
"Whoever stood at Arafat before dawn, will have performed (the rituals of Hajj).''
Urwah bin Mudarris bin Harithah bin Lam At-Ta'i said,
"I came to Allah's Messenger at Al-Muzdalifah when it was time to pray. I said, `O Messenger of Allah! I came from the two mountains of Tayy', and my animal became tired and I became tired.
I have not left any mountain, but stood on it. Do I have a valid Hajj?'
Allah's Messenger said:
Whoever performed this prayer with us, stood with us until we moved forth, and had stood at Arafat before that, day or night, will have performed the Hajj and completed its rituals.''
This Hadith was collected by Imam Ahmad and the compilers of the Sunan, and At-Tirmidhi graded it Sahih.
It was reported that the mount was called Arafat because, as Abdur-Razzaq reported that Ali bin Abu Talib said,
"Allah sent Jibril to Prophet Ibrahim and he performed Hajj for him (to teach him its rituals).
When Ibrahim reached Arafat he said, `I have Araftu (I know this place).'
He had come to that area before. Thereafter, it was called Arafat.''
Ibn Al-Mubarak said that Ata said,
"It was called Arafat because Jibril used to teach Ibrahim the rituals of Hajj. Ibrahim would say, `I have Araftu, I have Araftu.' It was thereafter called Arafat.''
Similar statements were attributed to Ibn Abbas, Ibn Umar and Abu Mijlaz.
Allah knows best.
Arafat is also called Al-Mash`ar Al-Haram, Al-Mash`ar Al-Aqsa and Ilal, while the mount that is in the middle of Arafat is called Jabal Ar-Rahmah (Mount of Mercy).
The Time to leave Arafat and Al-Muzdalifah
Ibn Abu Hatim reported that Ibn Abbas said,
"During the time of Jahiliyyah, the people used to stand at Arafat. When the sun would be on top of the mountains, just as the turban is on top of a man's head, they would move on. Allah's Messenger delayed moving from Arafat until sunset.''
Ibn Marduwyah related this Hadith and added,
"He then stood at Al-Muzdalifah and offered the Fajr (Dawn) prayer at an early time. When the light of dawn broke, he moved on.''
This Hadith has a Hasan chain of narrators.
The long Hadith that Jabir bin Abdullah narrated, which Muslim collected, stated,
"The Prophet kept standing there (meaning at Arafat) until sunset, when the yellow light had somewhat gone and the disc of the sun had disappeared. Then, the Prophet made Usamah sit behind him, and in order to keep her under control, pulled the nose string of Al-Qaswa' so hard, that its head touched the saddle. He gestured with his right hand and said, "Proceed calmly people, calmly!"
Whenever he happened to pass over an elevated tract of sand, he lightly loosened the nose string of his camel till she climbed up and this is how they reached Al-Muzdalifah.
There, he led the Maghrib (Evening) and Isha (Night) prayers with one Adhan and two Iqamah (which announces the imminent start of the acts of the prayer) and did not glorify Allah in between them (i.e., he did not perform voluntary Rak`ah).
Allah's Messenger then laid down till dawn and offered the Fajr (Dawn) prayer with Adhan and Iqamah, when the morning light was clear.
He again mounted Al-Qaswa', and when he came to Al- Mash`ar Al-Haram, he faced towards Qiblah, supplicated to Allah, glorifying Him and saying, La ilaha illallah, and he continued standing until the daylight was very clear. He then went quickly before the sun rose.''
It is reported in the Two Sahihs that Usamah bin Zayd was asked, "How was the Prophet's pace when he moved?''
He said, "Slow, unless he found space, then he would go a little faster.''
Al-Mash`ar Al-Haram
Abdur-Razzaq reported that Ibn Umar said that all of Al-Muzdalifah is Al-Mash`ar Al-Haram.
It was reported that Ibn Umar was asked about Allah's statement: (...remember Allah (by glorifying His praises, i.e., prayers and invocations) at the Mash`ar-il-Haram), he said,
"It is the Mount and the surrounding area.''
It was reported that;
Al-Mash`ar Al-Haram is what is between the two Mounts (refer to the following Hadith), as Ibn Abbas, Sa`id bin Jubayr, Ikrimah, Mujahid, As-Suddi, Ar-Rabi bin Anas, Al-Hasan and Qatadah have stated.
Imam Ahmad recorded that Jubayr bin Mut`im narrated that the Prophet said:
- All of Arafat is a place of standing, and keep away from Uranah.
- All of Al-Muzdalifah is a place for standing, and keep away from the bottom of Muhassir.
- All of the areas of Makkah are a place for sacrifice, and all of the days of Tashriq are days of sacrifice.
Allah then said:
And remember Him (by invoking Allah for all good) as He has guided you.
This Ayah reminds Muslims of Allah's bounty on them that He has directed and taught them the rituals of Hajj according to the guidance of Prophet Ibrahim Al-Khalil.
This is why Allah said: ...and verily, you were, before, of those who were astray.
It was said that this Ayah refers to the condition before the guidance or the Qur'an or the Messenger, all of which are correct meanings.

Could you please give me information about the Oneness of Allah? Explain Allah with "proofs". What does Burhan al-Tamanu (Reductio ad Impossible) mean?
Islamic theology scholars mentioned various proofs in order to prove the oneness of Allah. The most important of them is the proof called Burhan al-Tamanu (reductio ad impossible) that refutes the claim that there is more than one god. When we assume that there are two equal gods in the universe, it is definite that there will be discussions between them and conflicts between their wishes.
In the end of such a conflict, for instance when one god wanted something to happen and the other wanted it not to happen, one of the following three possibilities would happen.
1. Both of the gods’ wishes would take place.
2. Neither of the gods’ wishes would take place.
3. One of the gods’ wish would take place and the other’s wish would not.
All of those possibilities are rationally invalid and impossible.
If the wishes of both of them took place, a state in which something would happen and would not happen at the same time would take place, that is, two opposites like existence and non-existence would come together, which is logically impossible.
If neither of the gods’ wishes would take place, it would mean something would be deprived of existence and non-existence, that is, the opposites would disappear, which is also rationally and logically impossible.
In addition, the gods would suffer weakness when their wishes were not realized. Weak beings cannot be divine beings; they cannot create anything.
In the third possibility, the wish of one of the gods would take place and the other would be prevented; then the god whose wish did not take place would become weak. A weak being cannot be a god.
Moreover, we mentioned that the gods would be equal; when one of them turned out to be weak, the other would be weak too because they were equal. Then, both of them would be weak. Weak beings cannot be gods.
Thus, all of the possibilities turned out to be invalid; and the theory that there are two or more gods is proved to be invalid spontaneously.
Then, the divine being that created the world is one. And that being is Allah, the Exalted, who has absolute perfection, power and greatness as a necessity of the existence of His pre-eternal and post-eternal personality.
There are other proofs that prove the belief of oneness. Let us mention some of them that we regard as important:
• Proof that “His sovereignty does not accept any partners”:
The most important and indispensable law of the truth of sovereignty is independence and freedom. That is, rejection of others’ intervention and partnership in sovereignty.
It is obvious that even weak men who have a slight shadow or part of sovereignty reject the outer interventions in order to protect their independence and they act aggressively when others interfere in their business. In history, kings who were full of love and compassion killed their innocent children and beloved brothers lest they should intervene in their sovereignty. It clearly shows that the truth that no intervention is in question in sovereignty is dominant so absolutely and essentially.
Since the shadow of the feeling of sovereignty in weak and needy men rejects intervention so much and does not accept partnership in their sovereignty and try to protect their independence by all means, it will be understood that God Almighty, ‘who has absolute sovereignty in the form of being the Lord of the worlds, absolute dominance in the form of divinity and absolute independence in the form of oneness’ is free from having a partner, counterpart and rival.
Therefore, independence and uniqueness is an indispensable principle of the absolute sovereignty of Allah.
• Proof of order:
The perfect order and unerring system seen in the beings on the earth from atoms to stars in individuals and in all of them is the greatest proof and the brightest evidence of oneness. If anybody other than the Maker intervened in the divine activities and creation in the universe, that highly delicate order and balance would be spoiled and the marks of disorder would be seen everywhere.
• Proof of “ease at oneness and difficulty in plenitude”:
If the creation of things is attributed to only one Maker and Creator, it will be easy like the creation of one thing. If it is attributed to the nature, a fly will be as difficult as the skies, a flower as difficult as a spring and a fruit as difficult as an orchard. Since an eternal ease is seen in the creation of things in the universe, it is understood that the Creator is one and single...
PROOFS OF ONENESS (TAWHEED):
One of the most beautiful metaphors about this world: the Palace of the Universe
There is oneness in this metaphor. There cannot be two sultans in a palace. The floor of the palace cannot be owned by someone and the ceiling by another person. It is impossible for the outer walls to belong to the sultan and the inner partitions to the vizier. When there is one palace and one sultan, the things in it cannot belong to someone else.
The carpets, lamps and other furniture of that palace of the universe have not been brought from another world and placed there. Everything in the palace, and the most significantly, every guest is born in the palace. Let us have a look at a flower: Everything, from the soil to the sun, has a share in it. Let us have a look at the human body: The elements that are the cornerstones of the palace exist in him.
The mountains have settled on the plains like armchairs. However, they have not been brought from somewhere else; they rise from within the plain itself.
The fruit holds on to the branch. It has not been imported from another place; it rises from within the tree.
A baby is on its mother’s lap. It has not come from another country; it has grown in her womb.
The sun has become the lamp of the palace. It has not been brought from somewhere else; it was created together with the sky.
Oneness is the belief of knowing the sultan of the palace as One, accepting Him as One and not associating any partners with Him.
That oneness in the universe manifests itself in everything.
“There is a oneness in everything, and the oneness shows the One.”
The universe is a single palace and the sun is a single lamp. Every tree is an independent being… Man is an exclusive world.
Man is said to be a small model of the world. You cannot say that his hand was created by some someone and his foot by someone else; you cannot say his inside was created by someone and his outside by someone else.
Allah is the exclusive owner, single possessor and the Creator (without any partners) of the world of all of the beings.
“…There are no partners in His sultanate and He does not need any assistants or partners in His divine activities. Nothing can intervene in anything if His order, will, strength and power are not present.” (Mektubat) (Letters)
We learn two levels of the oneness from those statements: the oneness of divinity and the oneness of Lordship.
The oneness of divinity means to know the personality of Almighty God as one and to free him from all kinds of partners. That is what is thought of when oneness is mentioned. The word “La ilaha illallah” (There is no God but Allah) expresses that oneness.
When the name of Allah is mentioned, all of the perfect attributes and beautiful names are remembered together: Allah is pre-eternal, Allah is post-eternal, Allah is Rahman (the All-Merciful), Allah is Rahim (the All-Compassionate), etc.
Thus, it will lead us to the oneness of divinity to think about all of those meanings expressed by the name Allah. That is, what trains everything gradually and elevates them to a point of perfection is only Allah. That training, that lordship is carried out through all divine attributes and holy deeds; and a work on which divine names are manifested comes out. Allah is both the Creator and Lord (trainer) of that work.
What was an egg yesterday flies today. What was a seed yesterday produces fruit today. What was a nutfah (a drop of liquid) yesterday studies science today. The latter ones have been trained. All of them have been trained by the Lordship of Allah.
Let us think of a building. Someone laid the foundations; another person put up the walls; different workers installed the electricity and water system, plastered and painted; yet another one fixed the glasses. The creation of man is not like that. The building of man was recorded with all of his systems and parts, with the places and numbers of organs in the divine code called nutfah, with the providence of Lordship. The Being that recorded the information is the One that created the body with all of its parts. It is Allah who created the nutfah and it is He who decoded the code and it is He Who arranged the body with that He produced from it. All of the deeds belong to Him and exclusive to Him.
To know that all of those deeds belong to or come from Allah is called the oneness of deeds. Those deeds are carried out by the divine attributes, that is by the same science and knowledge, power and will. The one who knows and the one who wills are not different beings. The one who sees and the one who produces with his power are not different people.
The same power produces trees from seeds, creates fish in the egg, creates the young in the womb, holds up the sky without any pillars, makes the world rotate in a system, makes the wind blow, and sends down rain. The same will and knowledge directs and knows those deeds.
We call the attribution (isnad) of all those worlds of deed to the same attributes as the oneness of attributes.
There is also oneness of the being: to know the endless knowledge and science, limitless power, absolute will and the other attributes that are active in the worlds of the beings and to attribute them all to Him.
The mind becomes satisfied with oneness like the heart does. If someone else paints your building, can he claim to be the owner of the building? He can only ask a wage for it. That man is neither the owner nor the possessor of that building. He is only an assistant, a worker, an employee.
No other god can adorn the body that Allah created. If we suppose for a moment that such a god existed, that god cannot own or posses that body. He is only an assistant. An assistant cannot be a god and Allah does not need any assistants.
Then, He is the one Who creates and gives life. He is the one Who shapes and gives food. He is the one Who trains and organizes. He is the one Who makes things rotate and stop…
The outside and inside of everything belong to Him. Then Allah is both Zahir (the manifest One) and Batin (the Hidden One).
He created the beginning and the end of everything. Then, He is both Awwal (the First)and Akhir (the Last).
He is the one Who owns all of the creatures and Who provides them with their needs. So, He is both Malik (the Absolute Ruler) and Razzaq (the Sustainer).
All men have a common point; they are human beings. The one Who created one of them created all of them. Men and animals have a common point; they are living beings. The one Who created the fly also created the whale. All of the stars are similar because they are stars. The one Who created one of them created all of them. All of the beings have something in common. They are creatures (they were created). They are all works of Allah; they are His art.
God Almighty united the leaves, branches, the trunk and the roots, and a tree appeared. He united seventy trillion cells; and a human body appeared. He united the mind, imagination, memory, love, fear and so many other feelings in the spirit.
And eventually, He united the spirit with the body as man.
He established strong relations between the body of man and the universe. He made the lungs dependent on air and the stomach dependent on food. He made the light of the eye travel in the sky and the feet on the ground. Thus, man became, so to speak, united with the universe. Thus, the heart becomes satisfied by knowing its Lord as one, by accepting His oneness.
Some scholars divide oneness into two as theoretical and practical. According to that classification, all of those that were written up to this point are theoretical oneness. Practical oneness is the domination of the belief of oneness over the world of deeds of man fully.
The sentence “iyyaka na’budu wa iyyaka nastain” teaches us a lesson of practical oneness.
“Thee do we worship, and Thine aid we seek.”
We turn only to the direction that you tell us; we stand putting one hand over the other on the navel only in your presence; we bow down and prostrate only to you.
We think about only things that you give consent to and we love only those that you give consent to.
We uttered: “Inna lillah” (we belong to Allah). We speak for you and we keep quiet for you. We sit for you and we stand for you.
A person who worships only Allah is freed from the abasement of worshipping idols; similarly, a slave who seeks help only from Him is freed from becoming the slave of incidents. He seeks refuge in Allah with full tawakkul (absolute trust in Allah). It is both a lofty elation and a superior power.
Besides, does it not depend on reaching perfection in both theoretical and practical oneness to become a perfect believer?
ONENESS OF DEEDS
The shape of the nightingale is so different from that of the camel. The palm tree does not resemble the poplar tree. The most beautiful face belongs to man. Every individual human being has a different shape. Even the fingerprints are different. It is impossible to find two completely identical stars in the sky and two completely identical fish in the sea. All of those different shapes originate from one deed: Taswir (making pictures and shapes).
To hold, to maintain is one deed but it manifests itself in different shapes in different creatures. The cat carries its young in its mouth; the eagle picks up its prey with its claw; the mother carries her baby in her lap. The way the tree holds its fruit does not resemble any of them; it, so to speak, sticks the fruit to itself. The way the sun holds the planets is different; the sun cannot sacrifice them; it holds them from a distance. Those manifestations are actually the different activities of the same law and the different manifestations of the same light in different mirrors.
To give life, to kill, to cure, to guide, to provide with food are all separate deeds. Those numerous deeds are based on the same attributes. Hayah (life), ilm (knowledge), qudrah (power), sam’ (hearing), basar (sight), irade (sight), kalam (speech), takwin (creation). To base all of the numerous deeds done in the world of the creatures on those divine attributes is called the oneness of deeds. To attribute them to a single being is called the oneness of the being.

LA ILAHA ILLALLAH MUHAMMADUR RASULULLAH MEANING, PRONUNCIATION, AND BLESSINGS
What is it to be a Muslim?
The answer is not as complicated as you may think.
To be a Muslim you must sincerely believe in the absolute oneness or uniqueness of God, this is an Islamic concept known as Tawhid. A true believer sees Allah as the only entity worthy of worship, there’s no other, no partnership, nor idols that is deserving of praise.
Allah is the ultimate creator, there’s no close second. It is only through his will that things happen.
The other condition of being a Muslim is the belief in his messenger, Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alaihi wasallam).
That’s all there’s to it.
At the heart, this is what Islam is about.
This concept is known as Shahadah and is emodied by the saying “laa ilaaha illAllah Muhammadur Rasulullah”.
In Business, there’s something called a north star metric, this is used by a company to make sure all employees understand what’s most important to the success of the company. For Quora, it’s the number of questions a user answers. For a company like Facebook, their north star is the number of monthly active users (MAU).
In Islam, for a Muslim believer, the guiding principle is the Shahadah or declaration of faith. It’s embodied in the recitation of, “laa ilaaha illAllah Muhammadur Rasulullah”.
This is why the Shahadah is also called the first pillar or tenet of Islam. It’s the basis for which the foundation of Islam is built. Built on-top of this foundation is Zakat (charity), daily prayers, fasting during month of Ramadan, pilgrimage to Hajj, and other practices. But the whole building is compromised if you don’t believe in the basic tenet.
In Surah Al-e-Imran, ayat 19, Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala says,
“Indeed, the religion in the sight of Allah is Islam.”
LAA ILAAHA ILLALLAH MUHAMMADUR RASULULLAH IN ARABIC
In Arabic laa ilaaha illAllah Muhammadur Rasoolullah is written,
لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّٰهُ مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ ٱللَّٰهِ
As mentioned before this encompasses two concepts:
There is no deity but Allah.
Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) is his messenger.
The Shahadah is a declaration, it adds the phrase ashaduallaa which means “I bear witness”. In Arabic the complete Shahadah is written as:
أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّٰهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ ٱللَّٰهِ
The transliteration: Ashhadu allaa ilaaha illAllah wa ashhadu anna MuhammadarRasulullah
TRANSLATION IN ENGLISH:
The exact translation of the saying is, “I bear witness that there is no deity (worthy of my worship) but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.”
