its so fucking funny seeing someone get cancelled on twitter (invariably it's for harassing and bullying other users) and their oomfs being like "leave them alone they're a minor you're harassing a minor" and it's just like cool! they still did those shitty things! being a minor does not exempt you from the consequences of your actions

and then you look at the accounts involved and the "minor" is 16-17 and the person who called them out is 18-19 and they're all absolutely losing it over "weirdo adults harrassing kids" god it's so funny

If on twitter we have people complaining that Andrew Garfield is not hugging hundreds of strangers with whom they have no intimacy - when on the convention’s website it says no handshakes or hugs *unless* the celeb chooses otherwise? Yeah, we do. How could we not? After all, many people have the morbid pleasure of trying to destroy reputations and turn twitter into an ante room of hell. People take pleasure in being unbearable online. Only people complaining about it are people not actually there. People are still having lovely experiences with him. No one is entitled to touch him. You know the stereotypes of Facebook being filled with grandparents that don't know how to use it? I feel like the same is happening to Twitter, but with a younger demo.

Any popular thread I saw got derailed by self centred blue ticks with either nothing interesting to say or have everything unrelated to say. Some treat threads like they were unrelated general chat rooms.

There's also the general bitching of shit that doesn't matter, which was always a problem. I don't need petty negativity in my life, it's already crap as is.

There's also matter of the awful animal abuse, spam & propaganda that bubbles up more often.

All I wanted was to like & share some cool images & videos with some mates on twitter...

Watching the difference between the Twitter migration mentality vs. the Reddit migration mentality is fucking hilarious.

Like, when Twitter users started moving over here everyone was pulling out all the stops and bringing back old fandoms that they were into and basically firing rent lowering shots by being super cringey.

And then all of the sudden when the Reddit refugees start showing up we're like, "ah yes, pull up a log and gather around the dumpster fire.
