Hey Raven! Sorry for my lack of presence lately. My laptop broke and my new one just arrived.

I just realized that the twst anime will probably be in JP. Do we have any idea when the EN Sub or Dub will be released?

Hello and no worries 😅 I don’t expect or demand like... a minimum amount of participation from any of my readers. Please interact with this blog on your snazzy new laptop whenever it feels comfortable for you! There has currently been no news for an English dub. There's just been fan speculation about it, as well as some English VAs excited to hear about the project and expressing interest in participating in a dub, if there ever is one. But for now, no official plans announced for a dub. We don't even know if the Twst anime will be avaliable on Disney+ worldwide either. It has only been announced for JP and implied to be avaliable for various other Asian countries due to a series of 2022 tweets from the Disney+ accounts of Singapore, Indonesia, Taiwan, Malaysia, and the Philippines. If you watch the anime legally (ie on Disney+ JP), I believe the platform does offer English subtitles for whatever content is on there.

There's more anime news set to drop on March 22nd, so maybe they'll touch on these topics then?

I don't know if I should be sharing this. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy with the Twisted Wonderland anime adaptation and I hope it's awesome!

This is just a purely personal thing but I wonder if anyone else feels this way. When the main character in a game is the player, I end up being the type of player who inserts themselves into the story, so I think I ended up creating a very personal connection with this game.

For the same reasons that I'm not very interested in reading the manga, I also don't know if I'll watch the anime. I think… seeing someone else as Yuu kind of... triggers some abandonment issues that I may have. It's a bit like, "Oh yeah, I forgot that I can be easily replaced."

Once again, I'm happy that the anime is being made and for all the fans who are eagerly waiting for it, I know and hope it's the majority of the fandom and that it's very successful.

I wish I didn't feel this way because I also really want to see what this whole story is like in animation. I'd be happy to see clips of it at least.

I was just wondering if… am I the only one who feels this way?

Not gonna lie... Ever since the official announcement of the twst anime, I'm genuinely terrified. Not only because the fandom will grow, but because of the people who will join in. Even if I want us to gatekeep the franchise, it's going to be difficult because it'll be in Disney+. Which means Disney adults will see the anime and watch it in curiosity. As much as I want people to acknowledge and check out the game or anime, the main problem is the gooners. Remember, half of the cast characters are MINORS, and it's most likely they will simp over them.

For all I know, once the anime is out, things are going to get really messy. With mischaracterization, over sexualized towards characters, especially minor characters, and shipping wars already happening in the fandom, it might get worse.

Or maybe I'm just paranoid. But who knows what will happen? Let's all be prepared once the time comes...

Disney Japan Unveils "Twisted Wonderland" Anime Cast.

Disney has announced some new details on its upcoming anime series, “Twisted Wonderland: The Animation.” This adaptation of the hit mobile game will be coming to Disney+ around the world in October 2025.

The show has already been renewed for three seasons: “Episode of Heartslabyul,” “Episode of Savanaclaw,” and “Episode of Octavinelle.”

The cast includes:

-Natsuki Hanae as Riddle Rosehearts

-Seiichiro Yamashita Deuce as Ace Trappola

-Chiaki Kobayashi Trey as Deuce Spade

-Ryota Suzuki as Trey Clover

-Tatsuyuki Kobayashi as Cater Diamond

-Mitsuru Miyamoto as Dire Crowley

-Noriaki Sugiyama as Grim

The cast will be making a special appearance at Anime Japan in March to share details on the upcoming anime.

twst anime news!! (finally, lol)

The Twisted Wonderland anime is confirmed to be an adaptation of the main story!! The animation will be handled by Yumeta Company x Graphinicia and can be streamed on Disney+ (unsure if globally, but definitely in JP).

Seasons 1-3 have been greenlit. The first season, Episode of Heartslabyul, airs in October of 2025!! 🌹

Seasons 2 and 3 are dedicated to Savanaclaw and Octavinelle, respectively. No dates have been announced for those yet.

UPDATE: According to this tweet from Yana, it sounds like the anime will be an adaptation of the comics/manga.
