My Birthday is today!
Tumblr media
I thought it would finally be the right time to use this quote. And since im using a sponge bob quote I thought it would be fun to make my birthday picture SpongeBob themed. I was almost going to draw myself holding a regular sponge bob plush but doodle bob is more fun of an idea in my opinion. Even though it is my birthday, I hope you all have an amazing day!

When you turn 25, there's a constant battle between having absolute freedom and settling down.
And by that, I don't mean exploring avenues or getting married.
The battle is having to choose between eating an ice-cream with a bowl & spoon OR a mug & fingers.
Or maybe choosing between going for a late night movie or sleeping early for next morning's exercise.
Sometimes you want to have all the amenities that you can afford, and all those other times you just want enough to keep you going peacefully—with yourself by yourself.
And in all of this, nothing's right and nothing's wrong. It is just is, whatever it is.
We just want what feels good in the moment. Maybe the battles, of any kind, are meant to make you feel good in the end. Or maybe not.

I turned 25 today but I feel like I'm 17 again.
I think I was supposed to change since then, but maybe I should never have to.
Maybe I still am the same person, not changing, although growing.

"Come on, youre almost 25"
But you cant let it get to you the way 16 and 18 and 20 did
You have to ignore it, the way you tried to at 21

5 Life Hacks for Someone Turning 25!!
At age 25, you already have a few of life’s biggest milestones behind you: the day you took your first steps; your first “words”, your first day at school; graduation… and then comes 25. 25 is the unsung heroes of milestones: the age at which most people have a little more life experience behind them and start feeling like “adults”. (If you don’t, yet, that’s totally fine, too!) When it comes…

Its crazy how I had such a visceral reaction to turning 24, but turning 25 just feels like turning 22. It happens and its going to continue to happen.
I think it is because 24 is the offical start of my mid-twenties. 24 is where the clock turns on biologically and people stop asking if I have kids and start asking if I will EVER have kids.
I only just started to live my life, and Im only just starting to explore the world in a way that makes sense. Ive always been okay with being alone, but this is the first time in my life that I am now being judged by that solitude. I was encouraged in my early twenties to stay single, to not have kids, to go on my adventures. Then covid happened and literally took over my life from 21 to 23. Covid stole my early twenties and now I am left to my adventures and my childfree years during a time when other people think I should be starting said family.
It just makes me really reflect on the idea of youth and responsibilty. While my biological clock may be ticking, my youth is still very much present and I can still do everything I want and more with the time I have.
