Turkish Airlines Overload Cost? Read This First
Many people think that flying on Turkish Airlines is a cost effective way of traveling. In fact, it can be as much affordable as any other airline around the world. If you have an international flight booked with a travel agent or a regular airline company, there will not be any hidden costs. You will have to pay the standard ticket cost for the plane ticket. You cannot get any cheaper than that.
However, when you book online, there are some things that you can do to reduce the cost. In fact, many airline companies offer discount coupons or online rebates on their websites. This can help you save some money. The coupon will also entitle you to a reduced flight schedule.
One more trick is to book early. When there is a great deal of demand for a flight, many airlines offer huge discounts for the flight. So, try and book your flight as soon as possible.
Check whether there are any early bird deals هزینه اضافه بار ترکیش ایرلاین. This is the best time to get the cheapest flight tickets. Some airlines even provide discounts this way. If you follow this rule, there is no reason why you should pay any extra money when you travel by air. You can use this money to buy snacks and drinks on board as well.
Try and avoid last minute travel. There are certain times when the demand for flights is very high. Therefore, if you want to fly at that time, you should book the flight in advance. You should make sure that your luggage will get through check-in properly. This will help you avoid the over-limit fee and other charges that some airlines apply to late travelers.
If you do not have much baggage allowance, you should consider getting carry-on luggage. A small pack will allow you to save some money. You can also consider getting a small carry on bag. By doing this, you can keep your valuables at home and avoid spending unnecessary travelling expenses on hotel rooms.
Turkish Airlines always has offers and discounts available online. You should take advantage of the offers being made available. There are many online agents who can assist you in buying cheap Turkish airline tickets.
You should also ensure that you have the best airline tickets possible. If you are prepared to pay some extra money for buying Turkish Airlines airline tickets, you should do so. You will be able to save more money this way. Make sure that you compare the flight tickets that are being offered by different agents. Do not hurry to make a choice; it is important that you spend enough time researching to get the best deal.
It is possible to get discount fares when you buy Turkish airline tickets online. However, you should remember to compare the price with other agents as well. Some websites may cut the price for online booking and therefore you may end up paying more for luggage and other items. The bottom line is that you will still be able to travel with your regular luggage to get to your destination without having to pay an excess cost.

Routes: Where can I fly now? More long-hauls return to SFO United refunds
A weekly roundup of airline company and airport route and service news

A new online map helps travelers learn more about COVID-related arrival restrictions worldwide; more foreign providers are returning to San Francisco and Los Angeles, but one most likely will not return up until next year; United reduces stringent rules limiting refunds when it cancels flights; United and Alaska will require travelers to complete health assessments; tourists to Alaska have a new method to get around the state’s mandatory 14- day self-quarantine; and New York LaGuardia cuts the ribbon on a roomy, shimmering new arrivals/departures hall.
Like lots of, you are most likely questioning where you can and can’t fly these days. To cut through the confusion, the International Air Transportation Association this week launched an interactive world map of COVID-19 guidelines
In path news, more worldwide carriers are coming back to San Francisco International in the weeks ahead. Worth and New York JFK; it is currently flying from Tokyo to Los Angeles, Chicago and Vancouver.
Air France’s latest schedule for July 6 to Sept. 1 reveals the airline company coming back to SFO with three weekly flights (Monday, Thursday, Saturday) to Paris CDG– although it will utilize a 777-300 ER rather of the A380 it formerly operated (Air France has actually permanently grounded all its super-jumbo A380 s).
KLM revealed last week that San Francisco is one of destinations where it plans to restore service from Amsterdam in July, along with Washington D.C., Vancouver and Calgary, although it didn’t offer specific schedules.
Emirates has actually a little revised its schedule for a resumption of San Francisco-Dubai service from what we reported last week.
At Los Angeles International, Virgin Atlantic now prepares to reboot its dormant London Heathrow path on July 21, together with service from LHR to New York JFK and Orlando– although it noted that it is keeping an eye on governmental travel restrictions “extremely carefully,” consisting of the U.K.’s new mandatory 14- day quarantine for showing up foreign nationals. And Turkish Airline Companies, which had closed down all long-haul flights, plans to start flying some of them once again this month, including three weekly Istanbul-LAX flights since June24 (Note: Turkish is providing a 40%discount to health care workers who schedule its website by Aug. 1.) Another airline company that closed down all long-haul routes is Air New Zealand, however don’t anticipate to see them return anytime soon CEO Greg Foran said this week the airline is not likely to resume any considerable long-haul flying up until 2021.
Thinking about flying to Hawaii or Canada? Listen to Chris discuss summer trips on KCBS Radio.
Perhaps it’s due to press from the Transport Department and customers, or maybe it’s due to the fact that the airline is including more flights to its schedule, however United is now making it much easier for consumers to get a full refund when the airline company cancels its flight. At the height of the industry’s pandemic-based flight cancellation tsunami, United was offering to supply refunds to travelers whose flights were cancelled just if it couldn’t get them on another flight leaving within 25 hours– assuming the traveler didn’t accept the rebooked plans. (Rather of money refunds, United used electronic travel coupons.) Then United lowered that rebooking time requirement for refunds to six hours, and now it is down to 2 hours— back where it was prior to this all started. Phew!
United had actually enhanced the rule to 25 hours since it was facing a flood of refund demands at a time when income from new reservations was dropping through the floor. Like other airlines, United was desperate to hold onto as much money as it could, so it had a huge incentive to make cash refunds harder to get.

Meanwhile, United today added a brand-new step to passenger check-ins, asking consumers to complete a personal health assessment type Passengers are anticipated to attest to the fact that they haven’t experienced any coronavirus-like signs in the 2 weeks prior to their flight and have actually not been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past three weeks. They are also asked if they had contact with anyone who evaluated positive in the previous 2 weeks and need to accept United’s other safety procedures like using a mask on board.
Alaska Airlines stated it will add a similar requirement beginning June 30, asking fliers to submit a health arrangement during check-in (it can also be filled out on the airline’s mobile app). Alaska guests will have to confirm that they have not had any COVID symptoms in the previous 72 hours, or come into contact with anyone who did, and accept use a face mask. The health agreement becomes part of the airline company’s ” Next Level Care” program revealed today, which likewise guarantees that Alaska will block out middle seats at least through July 31 and will stop taking reservations when a flight has actually reached 65%of its seating capability. Boarding is now done by row number from back to front, and in smaller groups, Alaska stated.

New York LaGuardia this weekend cuts the ribbon on a huge brand-new Terminal B Arrivals/Departures Hall.
Speaking of Alaska, anybody flying into that state faces an obligatory 14- day self-quarantine.
The new Terminal B Arrivals and Departures Hall– serving United, American, Southwest and Air Canada– covers 850,000 square feet in four stories.
LaGuardia’s brand-new departures level has four check-in islands with 75 individual check-in kiosks and a central oversize bag check-in station, as well as 16 security screening lanes– three times more than the terminal’s predecessor. Last week, United opened a brand-new United Club located post-security near its gates; it’s 30%larger than the previous LGA Club.

In the return and change policy, we have worked and are working to be more flexible and future ahead of all airlines. All our citizens who bought tickets before 20 March 2020 can change their tickets until 31 December 2020 until the end of the year. The date of your tickets is 28 February 2021. ECONOMY
News from Turkish Airlines President Aycı that pleases the flight crew: We have no idea of staffing
“WE HAVE NO PLAN FOR DISCONNECTION OF ANY FRIEND”
First of all, we agree on this issue. We do not want any of our friends to leave during this crisis. We have no plans to dismiss any of our friends.
We will make all kinds of sacrifices to protect our employees' employment contract. All we have to do is, we have told our friends: We will succeed together, we will get out of this crisis together.
Of course, we will make some sacrifices and move on to some partial working models. In other words, with the partial working models, maybe alternately or by making certain adjustments in wages by reducing working hours, such as bonuses such as bonuses or paying part of the salary. We will not drop them below the minimum income level so that their basic needs can be met.

Arrival Under Cover of Darkness
Tumblr media
My first interaction with Romania happens in the Frankfurt airport, as I try to make my tight connection to Bucharest. The gate agent for Tarom Airlines asks me how many bags I have checked.  I say, “Six.” He exclaims, “Six?!”  I nod, and the man asks to see a receipt. I proffer up my printed receipt. I paid $700 for my checked bags back in Portland to Condor Airlines. This receipt does not appear to satisfy the gate agent. He asks for something larger, more like a coupon. I tell him that’s all I have, and he tells me to go talk to a different gate agent, a woman, who appears to have greater authority. She gets on the phone with someone above her and describes the situation.
The situation is that Tarom Airlines, the national carrier of Romania, needs proof that they will receive compensation for my 6 checked bags. Condor Airlines apparently shares routes with Tarom, but does not share information regarding baggage. The woman tells me that I will have to pay again. Nevermind that I could have lied and said I didn’t have any bags. Nevermind that these bags were (theoretically) being loaded onto the aircraft at that very moment. It soon seems that I have no recourse but to pay the $700 again, and all I have is a credit card, and there is no way to process my credit card. So the woman hands her mobile phone over to me, and a man speaking to me says that I will have to give my credit card information to the gate agent.
The gate agent has me write my credit card number, email address, and expiration date on a scrap of paper. I sign the scrap of paper, and board the flight. This is ridiculous, I think, but not totally unusual.
More ridiculous is the fact that my bags did not even make the connection. As I sit on the Tarom aircraft, looking like it hasn’t seen updating since the mid-90s, with tired flight attendants who look like they need a cigarette, I don’t even suspect that my bags are not flying with me. After we de-plane onto the tarmac, at 10:15pm, I wait at the baggage carousel until I’m sure my bags are not going to appear, then I go talk to the Tarom baggage agents, in a poorly lit corner office. They look up my information on an ancient Texas Instruments computer, circa 1989. A message for me: Condor/Lufthansa has my bags in Frankfurt, and they will fly them out to me the next day on a Lufthansa flight. Tarom does not carry my bags, but they pocket my cash.
I take all this in stride. I give my information and am told to return to the airport the next day after 1:00pm. I walk through the Customs gate, declaring nothing, and the AISB driver, Steffan, is still there with his sign. He is on his mobile phone, no doubt about to give up. I walk right up to him and say, “Buna ziwa.” It is 11:00pm.
Steffan reminds me of my Uncle Steve, and he gives me my first round of advice as we drive into the city. “Do not pay with credit cards here,” he says. “Nothing but trouble.” He says he only pays in cash. “Nothing but cash.”
Steffan is impressed that I know which streets to turn down to get to my apartment. I tell him I have studied Google Maps obsessively. We drive around the Triumphant Arch and it hits me: I’m in Europe! The Google Street View has been supplanted by the real thing. The air is thick with humidity and the heat of an 84 degree F night.
At my apartment, I meet with Catrinel, the rental agent who secured my apartment. She gives me a large bottle of water. “I heard you did not have your bags.” At one point, as she’s showing me around the apartment, she remarks that I’m so calm. She says, “If my bags did not arrive, I would be crying right now.”
I tell her that there’s no reason for me to cry. These things happen, and there’s only one way to be: optimistic. I go to sleep that night wrapped in my airline blanket (saved from a Turkish Airlines flight from long ago) on a bare mattress, using my neck pillow for a pillow. The next evening I go to the airport and all my bags have arrived, perfectly intact.
New beginnings in new lands often require a night arrival, when things are more mysterious and confusing than they appear. If things do not make sense now, just wait for day.

Latest story from https://movietvtechgeeks.com/super-bowl-ads-didnt-make-buy/
What Super Bowl ads didn't make me buy
For me, Super Bowl ads have a hard time living up to the hype. This year I was unimpressed for the most part as usual.
Maybe the second half commercials that lacked luster were a result of my disgust at the meltdown that was in progress from the Falcons. Either way, here are some products that I’m not running out to buy this Monday after the Super Bowl commercial blitz.
– Futuristic cars from Ford that won’t leave me stuck. Nice shot of the kid with his helmet stuck on a “big wheel.” Still, I don’t need a car with a hologram on the windshield.
– Even though I saw multiple ads for idiotic devices I can talk to in order to start music or get the weather forecast, ummm I’m good. These are just more devices to keep humans from speaking to one another.
– I thought about downloading a war app like “Mobile Strike.” And “World of Tanks” did a nice job of clowning reality tv. What stopped me? The lack of wifi and no free time to plot attacks on my ancient iPhone.
– I did enjoy Cam Newton’s appearance as a baby football player in a pee-wee league. Not a hard role for the preacher’s kid. It did not, however, convince me to run out and finance a Buick.
– One product I will buy is “bai.” Not due to the funny Timberlake ad. I just like the taste.
– The smartest ad I saw was the Tide spot with Terry Bradshaw’s stained shirt. I’m sticking with Arm and Hammer though.  Better value and…..coupons.
– I was sold on Lady Gaga at halftime. Even though the extra long performance allowed New England to reset at the break. Momentum switched sides after the third quarter and broke Atlanta’s collective heart.
– Snoop and Martha Stewart? Cute but I have no idea what they were pimpin.
– Mr. Clean softcore porn. Good one but I didn’t need a $5 million dollar ad to alert me about this brand.
– The wild hair commercial was cool. Yet, I was an emotional wreck at this point with 22 Falcons choking in front of the world. So I have no clue who paid for the advertising time. – The happiest I felt in the second half was seeing “Stranger Things” season 2 slated for Halloween 2017. Awesome show that may help me forget about what happened to my Dirty Birds. Eventually.
–  I’d love to take up Turkish Airlines on their invitation to explore this beautiful world with them. It may take a trip around the world to forget all the ugliness I witnessed in the Super Bowl though.
-The last ad I can recollect before I spiraled into an emotional train wreck…..ghost Spuds MacKenzie. I will never drink a Bud Light again after that ridiculous ad. Not even if the beer is free. Share with me any ads that did move you to chuckle or run out and buy their junk. I hear there were a couple of epic ones after the game. At that point, I had blacked out and threatened to dig up General Sherman so he could burn down the city of Atlanta once more.
