I used to listen to this section of the mix every day on my way skateboarding to work when I worked at a weed dispensary in Vancouver.

Really rough period of my life, the year after I graduated from university I had the worst depression and anxiety of my life. I hated that job. Canna Clinic. I made $13 an hour but I couldn't find a better job for the life of me after graduating from UBC. I graduated top of my class, BA Economics, Business minor with like all 90s, then I full-time tutored and TA'd for a year after. I got 99% in 3rd year statistics for christs sake. Cursed from birth I tell you...

I applied for jobs for months and months but couldnt even get an interview. Lol except for one that was like a 45 min train ride out to Burnaby, I didnt even know what the job was, I put in so many applications I couldnt remember applying for it. I got to the interview and it turned out it was to be a phone solicitor trying to collect donations for the Liberal government. I was like....please just shoot me.

I was so sad, I felt like I did everything right... I worked so hard in school and got the top mark in my upper year courses probably 5-10 times, sometimes in 200 person lectures.

I was so smart and hardworking, so why did nobody want to hire me? I felt like there was no place for me in the world. Everything I worked so hard to achieve in school was futile.

I moved in with Madi in this dingy dark basement suite, we called it the Rabbit Hole because it's where we both lost our minds. 2017 was a big wave of awakening, that's when we started to wake up on the summer solstice.

Life feels very unfair when we don't understand. When something is not meant for you, life will put you through the ringer. It's best to just let it go. Something better is waiting.

When one door closes, another one opens.

A labrynth is not a maze. There is only one path.

This is exactly why I can't pick a favourite song. I thought I had my top 2 but then today I was like wait no - Indie Rokkers.. and now I'm like no this one:

End of this month marks 1 Year of not being able to swim, due to COVID. And I legit bought this new suit last year, and only got to wear it once before all pools shut down. Super lame. I’ve also lost about 10lbs in the year, which is pretty sad as well—losing all the progress.

Am hoping things will be opening up again by summer, but CA is pretty awful when it comes to this sort of thing.
