(7 years after Bendy ch. 2's release) The buff Sammy model was a downgrade, for real.

#em.txt #man. give me back the potato sack man #HIS ASS WOULD NOT BE BUFF #what's he lifting all day? fucking heaviest thing in that dept. is the fucking tubas & he isn't regularly a tuba player #as he is the fucken director & song writer. it is valid to think he may stand in but C'MON #the lost ones are all twigs. skeletons with ink coating. why he is the only one who is buff..?#The ink perfectly moved around his chest preserving his abs but taking his ass. this is why sammy is flat cardboard back there #i also miss like. he didn't have feet. the pants were the only thing keeping him for having legs.#he did a stupid fucking trudge when he walked bc he can't lift his feet very high or his legs fall off #that first model was ugly. had a bad mesh seam bc it was a searcher model in pants & that searcher had an ugly uv seam #the new model is objectively better. but it is not... good....#that is a good summary of most of my comments on bendy & bendy 2

i have already made peace with the fact that ill never find the perfect d minor requiem (tempi-wise). but bernstein's comes pretty close <3

#also it has jerry hadley my beloved and maria ewing <333 the soloists are really Good which doesnt happen often #(the bass is a bit too baritonish for me but its nothing jarring)#introitus is too slow.#kyrie is great. could be a little faster but it's perfectly fine like this too.#dies irae is PERFECT #tuba mirum is great too tho i could also see it also work with a little faster tempo but nothing wild #rex tremendae is great tho i also dont mind when its a little slower (and i very rarely say this about mozart)#ricordare is just right too. any slower and it would be unbearable lol #confutatis is PERFECT #lacrimosa is HORRIBLE. it SHOULD be slow but lenny is really just taking the piss here.#karajan and abbado go a tad too fast for me. böhm's is fine tho the rest of his requiem is way too slow for me #domine jesu is perfect #and i dont usually much care for the rest of it but its fine too #forever bitter and heartbroken over the unfinished amen fugue </3

Underappreciated aspect of Commander Tartar: Tuba

#I LOVEEEEE the marching band aspect to the initial telephone theme. the dinky sounding tuba + snare combo is really really good #It’s so bouncy. love it. and then. THE TUBA COMES BACK IN THE BLENDER COMPLETION THEME!! it’s a little hard to hear but it’s there you can #definitely hear the funny tuba in between the two repeats of the melody it’s great.#In general I love the octo expansion soundtrack so much it’s easily my favorite splatoon soundtrack out of anything #it does such a good job scoring everything and it all sounds so good. love everything in the end bit especially #I’m listening to it right now I love the new version of the cuttlefish theme with the snaps it’s cute. I loveee how it transitions into the #character creation theme too it’s so good..#IM A SUCKERRRRRR FOR THAT MILITARY SNARE ITS SO GOODDDDD I love it in anything

OH BOY

There's gonna be a lot so I might pop it under a read more cause I'm nice like that

So my boy Salem was a vampire hunter (monster slayer ranger/battle master fighter/one level in rogue for skills, he was a mess), our other players were a light cleric (the halfling lady at the front of the art), and a human vengeance Paladin who was our version of Strahd's love interest (the lady in armour in aforementioned art).

We DID have a fourth member, a triton Warlock that Salem fell in love with and had so many issues dealing with because he was supposed to be a monster SLAYER. For a long time the campaign was just them trying to figure out their angst. Eventually the triton betrayed us to Strahd because Salem broke his heart so the party killed him. That set off a chain of events of Salem finding Strahd's evil diary and deciding he was going to kill her, take her place, and then use his powers to bring his sort-of boyfriend back from the dead.

I made a secret deal with a Dark Power (idk how much you know about curse of Strahd but Dark Powers are like, the unknowable entities who are really running the show behind the scenes), and hide to hide that my character was literally insane for like, months. I was sweating at most sessions cause I was terrified that the party would figure it out and kill me lol

EVENTUALLY we got to Strahd's castle. Our goal was to bring Strahd's body back to a temple where it would be sealed away to trap her Dark Power patron. Instead, I made a deal with her patron to take over Barovia (So now I had 2 patrons lol) and staked her through the heart so she would get dusted. It was like midnight irl when this happened so everyone was yelling at me and crying at the betrayal.

We wrote epilogues for how we thought our characters would live after the campaign, I assumed there was no way the Dark Powers were going to be nice and let Salem bring his boy back because *I think* they feed off of misery. So I decided he would probably figure that out, go to the temple himself and seal himself away so that Barovia could finally be truly free of dark influence. Saddest ending for the world's tragicest character.

We didn't know if we'd finish the campaign proper because like, right before the last session our DM broke up with her boyfriend (who played the Triton character), but we did eventually spend a whole day on it and get it done. 10/10 campaign, if you ever play it I highly recommend making Strahd a lady

this sure is a great commentary on how easy it is to do horrific things to people if you dehumanise them enough

#honestly didn't think much of season 2 although i loved lake #but season 3 is so well written #these kids straight up started a cult #because they were lost and scared and had nothing real to guide them #nothing except numbers #so they decided that numbers gave them power #grace's ability to manipulate people is incredibly realistic #she makes people feel special and makes them feel like they need HER in order to feel special #and the things they tell themselves about the train denizens #calling them 'nulls'#believing it doesn't matter what happens to them bc 'nulls dont feel pain'#it was so clear that tuba was nothing but kind and gentle and loved hazel very deeply #and never did a damn thing to hurt anyone #she was ready to give her up to protect her #there was no justification for what simon did #but she doesn't matter because she's not a real person.#GOD this season is so fucking good but also so fucking brutal to watch #i hope hazel tears him to shreds with her claws #kokiri watches infinity train #infinity train

i'll never understand people who refuse to watch cartoons because they think kid shows can't be serious or cover mature topics. ignoring that not every cartoon is for kids, do you know how many cartoons i've seen where the main character straight up deals with realistically portrayed mental health issues?? this singing lion cub is prescribed medication for his chronic pain & PTSD. monkie kid tried to kill himself & his friends weren't strong enough to stop him. the dino kids have PTSD & OCD. these guys held a funeral for a purple gorilla that was brutally murdered & it was heartbreaking to the point I can no longer hear the phrase "easy peasy lemon squeezey" normally. the singing horse also tried to kill herself. not even a metaphor. just straight up. & it's all played seriously & consistently. crying

#had to go back & rewatch that scene from Infinity Train & yeah still crying #anyways i feel like every time i see a ''for adults'' show try to handle this kind of stuff it always falls flat for me #like. a lot of the time it almost feels like they're trying to remember they made the character that way in the first place #their disorder or illness or whatever just keeps. fading into the background randomly when it's convenient for the writers #but every single episode of s3 of The Lion Guard reminds you that Kion is on medication #he's got mood swings & brain fog & confusion & pain & it doesn't go away just because it would be easier to write him without that #it would've been easier for Infinity Train to just go ''okay'' & move on from Tuba but they didn't. because it was important to mourn her #there is so much art people refuse to look at because of some preconceived notion that it's not good enough #that will always kill me just a little bit i think. like what makes you better than Centaurworld. what makes you better than Monkie Kid #what makes you better than the people who made these shows. nothing i think #imagine being so insecure you can't even watch a fucking cartoon. loser behaviour
