Went on a little adventure to the Inland Empire and came home with these lovelies. This was one of those girls who took SUCH good care of her dolls which makes me so happy. She told me they were untouched since she packed them up at twelve.

The besties have their dollies! I’ve never seen Charlotte in real life and she is so detailed.

They have their acessories too. Felicity’s are called her “new accessories” on the box. I’ve never seen Elizabeth’s accessories either.

It’s interesting to see how the products were labeled and packaged at this time. Felicity and Elizabeth are in the windowless boxes but Kit and Samantha are in boxes with windows. Some boxes have labels on top of other labels with slight name changes of the products. I’m guessing these are from around 2005-2007 ish.

Help me help others?

Okay, so this isn't really my usual type of post, but I recently was hired as a peer support specialist. They hired me specifically for my lived experience as a queer, trans person in the Midwest and a big part of my work will be providing resources.

I was hoping to compile a relatively exhaustive list/database of resources for a myriad of different issues and I intend to do a lot of research on my own but I was hoping you all might give me a hand by replying with some resources that have been helpful to you. They don't have to specifically be LGBTQIA related, of course, but those are especially helpful.

I'm talking about things relating to college, housing, transportation, childcare, etc. A huge part of peer support is helping people traverse barriers and I know that some of you have an experience that is valuable in that area.

If you can, please reply below with websites, hotlines, or otherwise that have been helpful to you in transitional periods of life and if you don't have anything, please consider reblogging. I plan to create some sort of organized document and when I have something composed, I'll make it available here as well. I really want to do well by my future clients and I know that with your help, I can do even better.

Hey Friends!

If you're in the GTA, you'll know we've had some pretty unpredictable weather. Snow, storms, warmth, Sun, and sometimes all at the same time. While we're not really strangers to this weather, it never ceases to amaze me every time we experience it. This is just another transitional time in the year where we move through the rebirth and awakening stage of the Earth.

Weather aside, you can slowly feel the world coming back to life as we do every Spring. Pay attention to the subtle signs of #growth and rebirth all around you. Pay attention to the way your own body experiences these changes. It's now that we plant any seeds we wish to cultivate later in the year, and set our intentions. Remember to grow with your projects and passions - if you're waiting for opportunity, I promise it's right in front of you.

Be kind to yourself this Spring - you don't water a seed and yell at it to grow faster. Be patient, be understanding, and enjoy the subtleties of the process.
