Transiting Saturn stations direct
Timeline (current events in bold)
Sunday, March 24, 2024, 02:26 UT - Saturn enters pre-retrograde shadow, 12°42’ Pisces
Saturday, June 29, 19:07 UT - Saturn stations retrograde, 19°26’ Pisces
Friday, November 15, 14:20 UT - Saturn stations direct, 12°42’ Pisces
Tuesday, February 18, 2025, 13:25 UT - Saturn exits post-retrograde shadow, 19°46’ Pisces
+++***===***+++
If you live in the US, you’re well acquainted by now with the Saturn/Pisces emphasis on fear and guilt. After all, so many of us voted for the DonVict. Denial of reality as a consequence of Saturn/Pisces? The Piscean fog made “up” seem like “down” and “wrong” seem like “right.”
Others of us have been working on spiritual discipline and responsibility - taking more mature approaches to what we believe. In The Book of Earth, Steven Forrest wrote about establishing“the habit of regularity in meditation and spiritual self-care, along with a commitment to acts of kindness, humility, and charity in the world.”
If you didn’t manage that, take heart! Saturn isn’t finished with Pisces. Although it will move on into Aries next May 24, 2025, it returns for a final dip back into the Piscean oceans on September 2, 2025. It will also be conjunct Neptune - beginning the 10° orb in February 2025, and remaining within 10° until March 2027. That conjunction, if we work hard (Saturn) and keep the faith (Neptune), we can make tremendous spiritual progress.
Sunday, January 26, 2025 - Saturn/Pisces (16°54’) semi-square Pluto/Aquarius (1°54’). The third of three; #1 was back on May 6 (Saturn at 17°06’ Pisces, Pluto Rx at 2°06’ Aquarius), while #2 happened September 25 (Saturn Rx at 14°42’ Pisces, Pluto Rx at 29°42’ Capricorn). This is more of a global thing, although if it dinged something in your chart it felt/feels a lot more personal! Any obstacles that have been holding us back will shortly become irrelevant, especially later in 2025 - Saturn/Aries will sextile Pluto/Aquarius, bringing new opportunities to build on whatever seed was planted back in January 2020 (Saturn-Pluto conjunction at 23° Capricorn).

Energy Update: December 2024
December is a “2” Universal Month (12 (December) + 8 (2024) =20 = 2+0 = 2] in an “8” Universal Year. Two is a movement number – things begin to balance out from the pure creation of the energy of the “1” month prior, and decisions start to present themselves. This aligns poorly with the astrology of the month, which is dominated by two major personal planet retrogrades (Mercury and Mars). In order to seek out balance or come into alignment with what is, we may need to work backward.
The Set Up
We begin the month with the Sun and retrograde Mercury in Sagittarius, Venus in Capricorn, Mars deep in its pre-retrograde shadow in Leo, retrograde Jupiter in Gemini, Saturn and Neptune in Pisces, retrograde Uranus in Taurus, and Pluto in Capricorn. This month, we will only have two planetary ingresses: our Sun will enter Capricorn, and Venus will enter Aquarius. This is due to Mercury’s retrograde, which ends on 12/15, that keeps our planet of Communication, Travel, and Technology in the sign of its exile for an exceptionally long time.
The Details
All eyes are on Mars, which will retrograde on 12/06 at 06° Leo. This retrograde will stretch into the new year; it ends in late February, but the post-retrograde shadow will continue until the beginning of May. This is the Big News Bear of the month as it will impact our entire holiday season, but it also sets the tone for 2025.
Mars
Mars gets top billing this month due to its upcoming retrograde on 12/6. This isn’t a post specifically about the retrograde (that’ll be out later – look for it in your email if you’re signed up for my mailing list), but it is significant enough to warrant a brief discussion. Mars is the slowest moving of our personal planets and tends to retrograde every 26 months or so. Because this planet dictates our modes of action and energy levels, we can expect forward motion (as a whole) and output to be lower during Mars’ retrograde periods. This is business as usual and the expected result of a Mars retrograde, but that doesn’t mean that people will be comfortable or accepting of this outcome.
Therein lies a lot of the struggles of a Mars retrograde cycle. Many of us (especially those ruled by Mars – Aries and Scorpio – or those with strong Martian placements) rely on accomplishments and consistent action to regulate our nervous systems. When thwarted, the Martian temperament can get aggressive and moody. Some types can be pushy or overtly forceful, and if one thing is for sure, it is that nothing should be forced during a Mars retrograde. Let it unfold slowly, and try to enjoy the ride.
This retrograde starts in fixed fiery Leo and ends in cardinal watery Cancer. A lot of people are going to fuck some shit up so that they can feel like they are still sitting on their throne and likely cry about it later.
It’s wise to remember that the planets aren’t here to hurt us, no matter how much our dysregulated brains might try to tell us so. Instead, if we look at planetary retrogrades as an opportunity to review, restart, realign, reassess, and rejuvenate, they can actually be valuable times of othered space. Each planet in retrograde adds a layer of the liminal to the space soup, and the more planets in retrograde at a time, the more liminal our space becomes.
It’s worth noting here that Mars’ retrograde overlaps with Mercury’s in December by five days (from 12/6-12/15). These are powerful days to slow down and assess where your life is and what you need to change to move forward. This is especially fortunate for those who celebrate the new year in January, as it is an early chance to align yourself with your goals for the year ahead.
Mars will station direct on 2/23, so this is a long-game transit – much longer than Mercury’s month-long retrogrades. Other than slowing us all down (and probably causing some significant tifts over the holidays), Mars won’t be doing much this month as – during the time when a planet stations (changes directions) they tend to hold their position in the sky for an abnormally long time. If you have a personal planet in the early degrees of the fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius), you might feel the strain of Mar’s lack of movement all month. Expect things to get angsty. Expect divas to be on the very biggest tears. It is what it is; I find Leo’s energy pretty easy to walk away from if it’s getting to be too much, but your experience may vary.
Iron gate boundaries might be in order, especially with that incredibly demanding family member who never figured out that they aren’t the main character in your life. You might find that you need to do less; if you do, know you are right on time.
Mars retrogrades are almost inevitably challenging. Even if you can manage your own life slowing down (some of us even like it this way), you still have to deal with the absolute temper tantrums of those who can’t stand still for whatever reason. Stay aware of the Aries, Scorpio, and Capricorn types in your life (Sun, Moon, Ascendant, and Mars placements mostly here) or anyone with Mars in Cancer or Leo. They may be seriously losing their shit (and, if so, iron-clad boundaries, as I said), but they may also just need support as to what to do when you can’t do.
This retrograde aligns well with the season of withdrawal (lovingly called Fallowtide by some) but less well with our hustle-and-bustle holiday season. It’s okay not to do anything, especially if you are prone to low energy for any number of reasons. Take care of yourself often and early.
Our Lights: The Sun and the Moon
Our big win for the month is our two new moons – the first in Sagittarius on 12/01 and the second in Capricorn on 12/30 – which bookmark our month. Our Capricorn moon is especially auspicious because – as I have mentioned elsewhere – in 2024, we had two Capricorn new moons and two full moons. If, as I suggested, you have worked the Capricorn moons this year, this is your fourth and final chance to do so. Even though it is early from a calendar perspective, I would do any magic working or intention setting for 2025 during the hour of the new moon on 12/30. Capricorn is THE sign of long-term planning. Use that to your advantage.
We begin the month on 12/1 (always significant as the 1st dictates the energy for the month ahead) with a new moon at 09° Sagittarius in a t-square with Saturn at 13° Pisces and retrograde Jupiter at 16° Gemini. It’s worth noting two things here. The first is that Sagittarius, the sign of our lunation, is ruled by the planet Jupiter, which is currently in the sign of its exile, Gemini. Luck is on the fritz right now, and all that glitters is most certainly not gold. Additionally, this square between Jupiter and Saturn is Ascendanting meaning that the two planets haven’t actually met at a 90° angle; we are working towards this square, not away from it.
This square between Jupiter and Saturn, currently in Pisces and Gemini, will be a major player in the energy of 2025. The planets meet in an exact square on the Pisces-Gemini axis and the Aries-Cancer axis. Luck may have gone awry, but this is an opportunity to glimpse what lies ahead.
So you are saying, there is a chance. On this day the answer is almost irrevocably yes.
Our Sagittarius new moon is a 9/2 new moon. 9 (Sagittarius moon) + 9 (Sagittarius Sun) = 18 = 1+8 = 9. 9 (Sagittarius new moon) + 2 (December 2024) = 11 = 1+1 = 2.
We are in the midst of some big endings, symbolized by the “9” energy, but the “2” echoes the glimpse into the future and the choices that lie ahead. This is a day well spent in divination or pathfinding of all kinds.
Our Sagittarius Sun squares Saturn on 12/04, which should not surprise anyone. Everyone is being held accountable for their actions in some way or another. This is business as usual; the Sun squares Saturn twice a year, but I’ve always noticed that it seems to show up like clockwork when the world needs it the most. Any Sun/Saturn transit adds a lot of power to magic used for justice and to hold people accountable for their actions. The sign of the archer can be especially helpful for Justice spellwork as Sag has a natural desire toward the highest good. If you work with runes, the Tiwaz rune would be especially useful during this time.
Our full moon falls on 12/15 at 23° Gemini. It is mostly unaspected besides a square to Neptune in Pisces, which carries energy similar to a major lunation anyway. This is also the day that Mercury stations direct at 06° Sagittarius. The twofold nature of switching, Mercury in direction and the Moon in purpose (wax on/wane off if you will) can be used to enact many types of magic for change. Mars is retrograde by this point, though, so be careful how you word anything focused on movement in the physical world during this time. Think Road Opener rather than a spell to force direction.
Our Gemini full moon is a 3/5 full moon. 3 (Gemini moon) + 9 (Sagittarius Sun) = 12 = 1 + 2 = 3. 3 (Gemini full moon) + 2 (December 2024) = 5.
3 is our Manifestation number (useful for all types of magic), and 5 has the go-to-itsness to break through nearly all barriers.
Once the Sun enters Capricorn, it squares the lunar nodes on 12/23. Our lunar nodes will leave the Aries-Libra axis for Pisces-Virgo at the end of January; this is the end of the line for this cycle. Capricorn, ruled by Saturn, can work too hard to keep the peace at times; where are you saying “yes” when you really mean “no” in your life? This might be one less thorn in an old wound or pass less painfully. Cardinal signs are the most likely to notice this transit.
It all comes full circle to our new moon at 09° Capricorn on 12/30. This lunation is still in a wide square to our lunar nodes and is also sextile to Saturn, echoing the energy of that early Sun-Saturn square. Both Saturn and the lunar nodes rule something you could classify as fate or destiny. But in a less woo way than many would use the terms today. Some things are meant to be. You live. You die. A volcano erupts. A major plague races across the land. Because you took your first breath at this exact time in that exact place, you will live through these things. Because our Moon touches on both, but not in exactitude, I would expect all of us to be contemplating our place in the universe a bit during this lunation. Both where we have been – our place in this existence – and where we are going.
What can we can do to help? (Helping is the best way to actualize Capricorn energy)
Our Capricorn new moon is a 2/4 new moon. 10 (Capricorn Moon) + 10 (Capricorn Sun) = 20 = 2+0 = 2. 2 (Capricorn New moon) + 2 (December 2024) = 4.
I have to giggle at this because I consider Capricorns to naturally carry a lot of “4” energy around with them. “4” is a very balanced number; it is all about structure. What are Capricorns doing if not shoring up their world to protect it from the elements? (as is their nature, being born in the deep winter months) When considering the power of the Number 4, I would ask you to think of the older man-made structures still standing. Did the Egyptian pyramids come to mind? That is “4” energy; it grounds in all directions; it has longevity. Again, this 4 energy makes this a great day to do magic or set intentions for the new year ahead. You may wish to set an intention that will become manifest by the Capricorn full moon on 7/10/25.
Mercury
For the first half of December, Mercury will be moving backward in retrograde towards 06° Sagittarius, where it will station direct under the light of our Gemini full moon. This is notable because Mercury is the ruling planet of Gemini; this will be a day highly invigorated with Mercurial energy. We should all realize by now that Mercury retrograde is business as usual and simply a change in the expression of our “normal” Mercury energy. I’ve written more about this particular Mercury retrograde here.
It’s worth also remembering that Mercury is in exile in Sagittarius because Sagittarius is the opposite sign of Gemini, the sign of Mercury’s domicile. In Sagittarius, thoughts can be demanding, and people can become convinced that their way of thinking is the only right way. We all need to watch out for intellectual elitism and educational superiority, two bad behaviors of Mercury in Sagittarius. Every lived experience brings a different story and background to the table, and we need each to function together rather than separately. This is the first hit on this lesson, and it will take on a greater meaning as our North Node enters Pisces next month.
This retrograde cycle involves big hitters Jupiter in Gemini and Saturn in Pisces. This circles back to what I said above about Jupiter square Saturn having a big part to play in the year ahead. We often visit troublesome aspects through Mercury first. This cosmically makes some sense because when presented with a problem, to proceed, the best course of action is usually to think something through. Keep in mind that in firecracker Sagittarius, Mercury does not seem inclined to take that kind of time.
It is an oversimplification, but Jupiter brings the Go/Expansion energy and Saturn the Stop/Retraction energy. This is interesting because Jupiter gets nothing but space to expand in formless, airy Gemini, which you would think it would like, but it really doesn’t (it is the sign of Jupiter’s exile), and amorphous watery Pisces does nothing to give Saturn the form it so desperately requires. Neither giant is at its best, making them more demanding. In this case, Saturn will always be the rock, and Jupiter is playing the role of the hard place.
Mercury has to pass through this vice three times. We’ve done this once while Mercury was in forward motion and when Jupiter and Saturn weren’t in a very tight square. The second pass happens early this month between 12/04 when Mercury opposes Jupiter (each planet in its exile, a nasty untethered opposition) and 12/06 when Mercury squares Saturn. We might want to expand during this time (or just jump out of the way of the rocks rolling downhill toward us), but there’s nowhere to go. This is the hole of Mercury’s retrograde cycle; I’d bet most people fall into it somehow.
Alternatively, you could be trying to get your ball rolling, and one thing after another keeps getting in the way. This kind of aspect works both ways, sometimes both ways in the same situation, which can be extremely uncomfortable.
That the Mercury-Saturn squares goes exact as Mars retrogrades on 12/06 tells us a lot about the character of that day. Just don’t. If it’s not Essential, emphasis on the Capital E, do it another day. Things generally grind to a halt for a reason. You can force the wheels or look for a rock in the tires. The choice is, of course, up to you.
And then, just in time for Christmas, we get our third pass-through of this rough t-square between Mercury, Jupiter, and Saturn between 12/24 and 12/26, this time with Mercury in forward motion. If you need to make amends for anything you said out of line earlier in the month, this is the time to come clean about it. The more you take responsibility for your own part in this mess, the less pressure Saturn will put on you. Always placate Saturn first; Jupiter is too all-important to care about turn order.
Things will feel a bit easier after Mercury’s retrograde ends mid-month, but Mercury remains in its exile all month long as it tracks its way all through its post-retrograde shadow in Sagittarius. The benefit of Sagittarius is that most Sag will tell the absolute truth as they see it. Sometimes, that includes coming clean about things, too. It should be no surprise that this will be a holiday season full of hard conversations; we can hope that at least they include honesty and words spoken from the heart. (Sag sometimes needs to be reminded they have a heart, but they will come in strong once encouraged there)
Mars will greatly overshadow this retrograde, but keeping it in the back of your mind is still important. If that person is just talking out of their ass, maybe make a snide comment to yourself, blame Mercury, and walk the fuck away. If it takes an extra two hours and a detour to get to Gramma’s house, that’s two hours less of talking to Uncle Eddie. Make sure you are sending those nudes to Tara in Sales and not Tara, your boss, if you know what I mean. Things tend to go awry during a Mercury retrograde cycle when we are on autopilot and not paying attention.
The easy and obvious anecdote to that is to pay attention. Standard Mercury retrograde advice applies: save often, double-check before you hit Send, and expect delays. Your friendly neighborhood Geminis and Virgos will be down for the count like they are every Mercury retrograde. The energy of all things communication, technology, and travel will be slower and deeper as Mercury wanders the low road. The more you can work with Mercury’s energy rather than against it, the easier your life will be.
Mercury exits its post-retrograde shadow in early January. We will have relatively smooth sailing with our planet of communication until the end of March and early April.
Venus
Venus is almost two full signs ahead of our Sun and Mercury all month long as it begins the month in Capricorn and ends it in Aquarius. It is on its own journey, which doesn’t really include stepping in to help out with the inevitable squabbles that are bound to come up all month long as both Mercury and Mars retrograde in fire signs. Venus can be pretty far out there in the fixed air sign of Aquarius and, at times, even unattainable.
Venus makes two major appearances this month. First, Venus will conjunct Pluto at 00° Aquarius on 12/07. Pluto is our outermost planet and seems responsible for the erosion of all things through the lens of time itself. Of course, in Roman mythology, Pluto was the god of the Underworld. On a long enough timeline, all things end: nations, marriages, lives, and this world.
Pluto has never before been in the sign of Aquarius when astrologers knew of the planet’s influence, so we can only surmise what this new journey will bring to humanity. But we will taste it through a Venusian lens this month.
Then, on 12/12, Venus opposed retrograde Mars in Leo. This is pretty big break-up weather, but that shouldn’t be anything to worry about if you are in a safe and secure relationship. Leo and Aquarius aren’t that different from one another (Sun sign opposites are and should be ready as a pair), but where they differ is very stark. Where Leo is a traditionalist, Aquarius is pointed straight toward the wildest of infinite possibilities. Leo wants the world, and Aquarius wants the universe. They can become aligned but often choose not to out of ego and the inability to step off their respective daises.
Fixed signs aren’t inclined to move; that much is for sure, and this will go doubly for all Martian and Leo types during this time. If anyone is going to give an inch, it will have to be Aquarius.
Although I specified break-up weather, I want to clarify that relationships do not always involve love, sex, or romance. We are in a relationship individually with each of our family members, with our best friends and our worst enemies, and with our bosses and coworkers. American culture puts a huge emphasis on love and sex, but relationships exist of all kinds. We talk about wars between nations but rarely about wars within families or workplaces. The interplay between Venus (receiving) and Mars (giving) shows us how our relationships are flowing – even international ones between nations. Together, they give us an idea of how easy it will be to get along.
Oppositions are fidgety and difficult to read, even for the most seasoned astrologer. Sun Sign opposites can differ in specific ways but are also quite similar and desperately need each other. The conflicts that will arise during this time CAN be resolved, but it calls for somebody to step down and let the other by. Neither planet looks well poised to do so, which is generally unfortunate. We still get free choice, though; that’s the beauty of how the above is reflected below: the planets dictate that there will be conflict, but WE still get to choose what we do when it happens.
What is worth fighting for? Is it worth standing up to the one you love the most? Is it worth standing up to your family? Is it worth standing up to the world?
Many of us have to grapple with this right now, and I think many people will say resoundingly, “Yes.” I’m not here to give you the correct answers because my trials and choices will differ infinitely from yours.
What I am here to say is that there is a reason (in the skies and our lives) why people are going to choose Fight this holiday season, and we should think about both how we are making those choices for ourselves AND how we should respond when someone decides they want to fight with us. The big flex all month will be to pick your fights, but we all know that will be easier said than done.
I’m choosing to discuss conflict in the Venus section for a reason. Diplomacy plays as important a part in conflicts as Action, though culturally, we often downplay this. Venus in Aquarius can be talked into looking back at the rest of us earth landers, but only if you speak to her higher nature and propose something new and innovative. Venus in Aquarius doesn’t have time for momentary peace; it wants the whole package or nothing at all. The craziest idea might be the one that is the solution all month long.
Jupiter and Saturn
Our two intermediate planets, Jupiter and Saturn, play a major role in dictating the pace of our lives. Jupiter, the planet of Luck and Expansion, quickens everything it touches, while Saturn, the planet of Time and Consequence, slows or halts. We need both of these forces in our lives. They are moving in and out of squares for the next year.
The first square happens on 12/24 with Jupiter in Gemini and Saturn in Pisces. Neither planet is at its strongest here, but Saturn probably wins out due to Jupiter being in its exile. Expect things to be slow. But that’s also indicated by our Mars retrograde, so let’s say it’s extra slow. This first square includes Mercury in Sagittarius square to Saturn and opposed to Jupiter. This is a harsh mutable t-square, which will have everyone scrambling but few finding solid ground.
You may notice this repeating cycle of three squares (one in December and two next year). If it sounds awfully like a retrograde cycle, that’s because it is. This is happening because Jupiter (being the faster-moving sign) has caught back up to Saturn (by degree) and is now going to retrograde forward and back again thrice across Saturn’s path. Jupiter and Saturn will both change signs in 2025 in synch with one another – this will put a lot of stress on the line between Gemini-Cancer (for Jupiter) and Pisces-Aries (for Saturn). We will be in this push/pull cycle for a while; this is just the first pass.
Looking Forward
Hello January! Hello 2025!
The big deals in January will be our Mars retrograde and the changing of the guard as our lunar nodes slide onto the Pisces-Virgo axis. The big deal for the year is that Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune all change signs in four months. As we move into each new sign in 2025 with our Sun, Mercury, and Venus, we are forced to confront all of our outer planets in unison. We are on the event horizon now.

Looking at Nicola Coughlan's current transits--
Right now, with Saturn retrograde at 16° Pisces, this means that she's experiencing a sextile to her natal, 16° Capricorn Mercury. With Saturn retrograde, it moves slower than usual, so this sextile will be taking place for about another [two months], before applying again in late January, as Saturn goes direct. There's a few different things I want to point out about this pattern:
1- in the moment, i think this 16° sextile is what's bringing us closer to her, her personal life, and helping her sell her brand. 16° is a Cancer ruled degree that represents hometowns, where people come from, and a major theme in her life is "authenticity".
1.1- 16° can be secretive, reserved, and I think we see that energy displayed through the photoshoots that she's been releasing. I think this mostly speaks to her enjoying a soft r*ch life, (SEXTILE) not bragging, but showing off
2- Saturn stations at 13° as the retrograde ends, meaning that the sextile still distantly applies, but i think this may be a time of people questioning her, or her opening herself up to questions from people directly? this would be in [December]
2.1- 13° can be an aggressive degree, but it can also represent something being built, so 13° Pisces makes me lean more toward the idea that she'll be trying to reach out to help people. If at all, this would be the time to call out people being invasive in her personal life
3- In [late January] Saturn will be direct, at 16° will be in exact sextile with her Mercury again. I think this signals the "end of a season", like her current publicity campaign will come to an end, possibly to lock down for other work she can't talk about.
3.1- [January] has a very busy energy for her, but it's profitable. This could be a time for her bringing back money to her hometown, her family, maybe specifically her mother, but "paying it back" will be a big theme. Right now, she's preparing for the Sun to enter her 7H. Venus and Mercury are already there, [Mercury] people have praised her, she's [Venus] shown her abilities, but Sun in the 7H is the time for commitments to be made and contracts to be signed.
Sun transits are naturally about a month each, so i wouldn't expect immediate change, but [September] is a good time for 'promises' to be made. As Mercury enters Virgo, she may try to make more of an effort to show the public what she's doing, but also express she struggles to. Hopefully it's not a personal struggle, it could just be that so much work makes it difficult to open up about really anything, but i think it will be an affirmation that she's still invested in sharing herself with everyone.
In [one week] Mars will be entering her 4H, eventually opposing her own Venus, and I think this is a time we can expect more assertive energy from her. Mars in Gemini, I think there may be jokes about how demanding she can be, her pushing people around as a joke, but more importantly I think she may be coming up on a time of facing rumors. I really don't think it's anything that will stick with her, but her ability to respond to an invasive or weird question may be tested. maybe a questionable interview?

Taurus Full Moon 24°(Pisces degree)
This full moon is special!
Why?
Because this is the last full moon in Taurus we will have while Pluto in Capricorn, they will trine each other by 5° orb(distance)
This Full Moon is also conj Uranus Taurus and fixed star Algol!
But wait.. there’s more!!
Now based on astronomy, a Full Moon can be up to at least 3 days. So even though, the full moon is in Taurus, it will also be in Gemini.
Jupiter is currently in Gemini 19°(Libra degree) and its retrograded.
Now whenever we have a Taurus or Libra transit, we have to look at Venus. Whenever we have a Gemini or Virgo Transit, we have to look at Mercury
Venus is currently in Capricorn 4°(Cancer degree)
Mercury is currently in Sagittarius 16° (cancer degree). Mercury is also pre-shadow period before it goes rx on the 25th.
With Venus being Capricorn, let’s look at Saturn.
Saturn is currently in Pisces at 12°(Pisces degeee) and it just stationed direct this morning!
What to Expect?
Something shocking or unexpected happening the next few days. It could be related to our economy, personal finances, our home such as selling or moving.
This is really a good time to journal or reminisce everything you’ve been through the last 16 years as we start to wrap up this Pluto Capricorn transit. You are completing a long cycle. What have you learned during this time. You may be quitting a long term career but isn’t happy, maybe you’ll get promoted or finally recognize for your hard work. Having a difficult conversation with your parents. You’ll probably learn something new about their past or they’ll reveal something to you.
For the past few months, you may have felt lost or didn’t know where or what to do with your life at the moment. There’s a level of fear and uncertainty in the air. Starting today and the next few days, it’ll hit you randomly, you’ll get that “Aha!” Moment. You may start to see things a bit clearly and some sort of path to your future. There’s thunderclouds are slowly disappearing.

astro notes: daily transits & horoscopes 11/15
Friday marks a pivotal moment as Saturn stations direct in Pisces after a five-month retrograde, bringing a heightened focus on realism and structure. While Saturn’s influence may feel slow at first, its gradual forward momentum will support the achievement of career goals and practical aspirations over the coming weeks. Today’s Full Moon in Taurus, closely aligned with unpredictable Uranus, challenges our desires for stability and comfort, presenting unforeseen disruptions. However, the Moon’s supportive sextile to Neptune and trine to Pluto later in the day offer resilience, helping us adapt to change with grace. As the Moon moves into communicative Gemini late tonight, conversations become lively and connections multiply.

15 November, 2024 — Full Moon in Taurus.
The Taurus-Scorpio axis is activated by November’s Full Moon, which brings our attention to the ongoing dance between resisting change and embracing it, between seeking stability and pursuing evolution. Accepting impermanence is a central theme associated with the Taurus-Scorpio axis and this Full Moon will offer us chances to refine our ability to discern when it is time to hold on to something and when it is time to let it go. Tightly conjunct with Uranus, the Great Awakener, this Full Moon will mark an increase in our desire for freedom, and our urge to rebel from constriction and injustice. Many individuals will experience breakthroughs and turning points around this time and make decisions that revolutionize their lives according to what is true for them.
As the Full Moon peaks, Saturn stations direct in Pisces. As the Lord of Karma resumes his forward motion in Pisces, we have an opportunity to implement practical and tangible adjustments based on the insights we gained during the retrograde period. Saturn’s transit always highlights areas where greater maturity and responsibility are needed. In Pisces, Saturn invites us to mature spiritually, emotionally, and creatively. This shift challenges us to move beyond the roles of victim or savior and take practical steps to ground our dreams and visions in reality, rather than remaining stuck in fantasy, imagination, or hope. --Moon Omens

TRIGGER WARNING: mentions of death, violence, and self-harm
CASE STUDY 5: The Death of Liam Payne
One Direction was the American heartthrob boy band that delivered the hits that became the soundtrack of many of our adolescent years. Whether you loved them or not, their influence on music, band culture, and pop culture as a whole is undeniable. Though Liam Payne may not have always been the most prominent face of the group, his death is undeniably tragic—but not without deeper context.
disclaimer: the following birth chart is not 100% accurate.
Payne’s 9th house Chiron in Leo points to challenges with self-expression, especially in areas tied to education, learning, and exploring the world. The placement suggests that seeking knowledge and expanding his worldview may have been accompanied by feelings of inadequacy or wounds related to expressing his authentic self. With Gemini ruling the 8th house, there’s a potential indication of death related to lung issues, smoking, or asphyxiation.
Since he was in an 8th House profection year, these themes were likely emphasized, placing matters of shared resources, transformations, and even mortality at the forefront of his life. It seems he may have been trying to counterbalance the intense energy typical of an 8th house profection through travel or seeking new experiences. However, with transit Mars moving through his 8th house, it could have activated conflicts or incidents involving aggression, accidents, or volatility. The opposition between Mars and transit Pluto would have only intensified this energy, heightening the potential for violent or extreme events.
it is said that Payne was dropped from Universal Music Group just days before his death, indicating a loss of resources from others / corporations.
Payne’s Scorpio Ascendant reinforces the idea that he may have faced significant struggles before his death. Scorpio risings often experience hardships, mistreatment, or even abuse at the hands of others early in life, shaping their resilience but also leaving lasting emotional scars. With Saturn stationed near direct on his IC and opposing his Midheaven, this suggests potential challenges both at home and in his public life, hinting at possible abuse or difficulties within his family environment that extended into how he was perceived by society.
This dynamic creates tension with his 10th house Sun and Mercury in Virgo and his 11th house Mars and Jupiter in Libra. Although his chart suggests he was meant to be active in the public sphere, the weight of a difficult upbringing may have made it hard for him to fully embrace his potential. The opposition between his private and public life likely resulted in a lifelong struggle to balance personal challenges with his aspirations for recognition and community involvement.
With transit Venus and Mercury moving through his 12th house and the transit North Node in his 5th, this trip appears to have been intended as a healing escape that took an unfortunate turn. The 12th house, linked to self-undoing, and the 5th house, associated with pleasure, suggest a dynamic where seeking enjoyment and release may have led to unintended consequences.
The influence of both Scorpio and Aries—two Mars-ruled signs—likely intensified his pre-death behaviors involving alcohol and drugs. These energies often amplify impulsivity and risk-taking, serving as a catalyst for activities that reflect both escapism and reckless indulgence. While the trip may have been an attempt to heal or disconnect, it seems these Martian forces ultimately exacerbated the challenges he was facing.
Overall, I hope he is in a better place and condolences to Payne's family, the One Direction group, and fandom.

Astro observations: celebrity edition part 2 aka latest news roundup
⭐️ Dua Lipa announced on her instagram that she's actually a Gemini rising as opposed to Libra. Now my Gemini detector told me that ages ago but I accepted the Libra rising just because it's my default token "plain good looking and polite" sign BUT it actually now makes much more sense in terms of house placements. Her Venus is now cazimi in the 3rd house - house associated with creative writing and thinking. The ever-changing and fast-moving Mercury is now in her 4th house of family and home situation and she's actually been always moving a lot between England and Albania. That healthy domicile Mercury as well as the Sun-Venus conjunction in the 3rd shows her close connection to family overall.
Funnily enough, her discovery took place during Mercury station in her 4th house. Talk about finding out your true roots (astrological, in that instance).
⭐️ We also now have the birth time of Elon Musk, who turns out to be a Cancer rising. Jupiter in his 5th house of children now makes perfect sense with his 11 kids (and probably counting).
⭐️ If you're wondering why Ariana Grande is the way she is, look no further than Moon conjunct Jupiter - aka her 7th house ruler multiply; as well as both being square to the Sun. Usually Sun square Jupiter can point to legal issues and excess while Sun square Moon often points to broken families. Now add that together and you have… a homewrecker, yaaay!
⭐️ I was thinking a lot about Blink 182 and Tom Delonge (his chart resembles mine a bit) due to him rejoining the band last year and now releasing a new Blink album. Natally, he has a retrograde Gemini Mars so I looked at his progressed chart to see the stationary period. Turns out his progressed Mars stationed direct early 2014, followed by progressed Sun entering Aquarius. Early following year the band announced that he left permanently. One of the things he focused on was research on the UFOs and work with the government. Of course, keep in mind progressed Mars stations for quite a while and his issues with the band lasted throughout the whole 2014 so it makes sense that the final split occured a year later. And why Mars? Well it can literally speak about our focus in life and our direction - where we put our energy. Not to mention Mars rules his MC so it brought him a massive turn in his career. So makes sense.
⭐️ Britney Spears just released a memoir book. Putting aside the questionable fact on who really wrote it, it stirred up a lot of drama. Her chart is one big mine but today I'm only focusing on current transits: she just had an eclipse in her first house of Libra. That eclipse landed right on her Pluto, which natally squares Venus (talking about toxic relationships and exposing them). Pluto itself is making last hits to those degrees as well as it's stationing direct in the late Capricorn. Interestingly I think Jupiter being in her 8th house can point to this as well - it lights up all the secrets and talks about working on past traumas. Now, you're also probably thinking, why was she involved with so many iffy people in her life? A lot of things in her chart point to that but what always struck me was her 7th house ruler - a malefic Mars - being in her 12th house of enemies. And it squares Neptune so they're also liars and exploiters.
⭐️ There's been A TON of celebrity breakups during this Venus retrograde season but I'm gonna quickly focus on Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner because their charts are an interesting example. Their synastry is mostly having planets in sister signs but this also means that if one of them gets hit with a transit, so is the other. Involve Saturn in that transit and you get trouble. Saturn is currently in early Pisces, where Sophie has some of her planets in the 12th house (loss, enemies). Her Mars (disputes, cutting) is at 4° of Pisces while Joe's Mars is at 7° Virgo - right opposite that. Saturn transit stirred up some proper drama: and Saturn is also coldness, being restrained and cut off. On top of that they also have their rising signs in the opposite signs of Aries and Libra and we just started having eclipses in those signs earlier this year.
Not to mention Joe's Leo Sun got hit by Venus retrograde and a Uranus square. Among other stuff.
FUN FACT: according to my research they met for the first time in October of 2016 when Jupiter was in Libra. So, interestingly, not only they had Jupiter going through their angles but Jupiter in their Davidson chart is in Libra.
⭐️ Taylor Swift is currently going through her 10th house profection year (Leo). It would make sense then that her career would take a turn this year considering that Venus was retrograding in Leo. Of course as it turned out she had a massive succes with her ongoing world tour, which is said to become the highest grossing tour of all time.
⭐️ A Vogue article popped up about Rita Ora's and Taika Waititi's wedding that took place a year earlier (they kept all the info and date private until now). Jupiter played a huge role in them getting married (as it often does, especially for a couple like them, who have it strong in their charts, which I wrote about HERE). At the time of their wedding Jupiter was at 8° Aries, which for Rita is that sweet spot between her Sagittarius Sun and Venus (4° and 10° respectively) and Leo Jupiter (13°) - as it completed a grand trine in her chart. Transiting Sun was also 12° of Leo, highlighting that trine even more.
Man I love astrology.
For Taika it was pretty prominent as well although his Jupiter aspects were more sign-based. He had a Jupiter return; his Moon is somewhere in the middle of Sagittarius so he received these fire trines as well. Interestingly, at the time of the wedding Saturn was at 22° Aquarius - exactly opposite his Leo Sun but also sextile his natal Jupiter. So for him it had a bit of a Saturnian flavour that called for stability and maturity.
⭐️ Similarly, I just read the other day that Frances Bean Cobain got married earlier this month. She has a Venus-Jupiter conjunction on top of her Virgo ascendant (interestingly Kurt had the trine between Venus and Jupiter - so seems like a family pattern). Also interestingly, transiting Jupiter is currently trining both her Venus and Jupiter (on the day of the wedding it was trining Venus exact), thereby her natal pattern got repeated. Jupiter is also her 7th house ruler.
Her now husband, Riley Hawk is having a nice transit of that Jupiter over his Taurus Moon - and remember, Moon rules the women in your family as well as your wife.

July 2024 Astrology Forecast: Crises as Opportunities
July 2024 Astrology Forecast:
The Astrology of July 2024, colored by the double activation of the 29º degree, indicates that significant changes are on the way and emphasizes the role of crises as opportunities. The month begins with Neptune stationing retrograde at 29º of Pisces, just a few days after Saturn stationed retrograde, also in the sign. During the upcoming months, both planets are going to travel backward through the sign of the Fish, offering us an invitation to reflect on what is dissolving in our lives and what effort is required on our part to materialize our dreams in the 3D reality.
Throughout the month of July 2024, we experience a gradual shift from Cardinal Water energy to Fixed Fire energy as Mercury, Venus, and the Sun leave Cancer and enter Leo. This shift invites us to leave our comfort zone, open up to the world, and consciously choose to wholeheartedly participate in life. During the upcoming weeks, we are going to experience a New Moon in Cancer and, just a few hours before Leo season begins, another Full Moon in Capricorn, this time at 29º of the sign and conjunct Pluto at 0º Aquarius. Around this time, deep insights into our emotional and psychological makeup and opportunities for radical transformation will be available.
Here are the main Astrology events coming up in July 2024.
Neptune stations retrograde in Pisces & Mercury enters Leo
Jul 2, 2024, 06:40 AM EST & Jul 2, 2024, 08:50 AM EST
The new calendar month begins with Neptune stationing retrograde at 29º Pisces and Mercury entering Leo. Neptune’s shift of motion invites us to direct more energy inward and question our existing approach to inner and spiritual exploration. This transit supports a contemplative and internal focus and inspires us to search for answers within. Neptune retrograde in Pisces is an opportunity to redefine our relationship with our spiritual practice and our spiritual values and refine our attunement to our intuition.
Mercury’s ingress into Leo invites a shift in our thinking and communication styles and inspires us to express ourselves more confidently and creatively. During this time, we are encouraged to share our ideas with the world and embrace opportunities to be heard. Mercury in Leo inspires us to communicate enthusiastically and think creatively while being aware of the value of sharing our opinions and ideas. This combination of energies favors creative endeavors and artistic projects as well as all forms of self-expression connected with language, writing, and speaking.
New Moon in Cancer
Jul 5, 2024, 6:57 PM EST
The New Moon in Cancer is an opportunity to come into a new relationship with our emotions and our vulnerability. It is an opportunity to renovate our relationship with our past, our family, and our emotional needs. This event begins a lunar cycle centered around renewing the way we approach self-care, self-nurturance, and emotional self-awareness. The New Moon in her domicile offers us an invitation to create our personal definition of “home” and invites us on a journey inward, reminding us that it is our responsibility to make decisions that honor our hearts and protect our sensitivity.
Venus enters Leo
Jul 11, 2024, 12:19 PM EST
Venus’ ingress in Leo brings a desire to feel seen and appreciated and reminds us to value celebration, creativity, and authentic expression. This transit represents a powerful time to work on our social skills, creativity, and ability to find pleasure in life. Venus in Leo is an opportunity to reclaim our connection with our radiance, with our childlike enthusiasm, and with our joy. Venus in Leo reminds us of the value of creative expression, the power of being intentional about aesthetics, and the importance of play: this transit inspires us to experiment and make art for art’s sake, without worrying about how it looks or about whether we are doing it right.
Mars enters Gemini
Jul 20, 2024, 4:43 PM EST
Mars’s ingress into Gemini marks an increase in the pace of our intellectual activity and fuels our desire to learn more about everything. This shift suggests a growing intellectual restlessness as well as an experimental and open-minded approach to sexuality. Mars in Gemini transit can be associated with stronger tendencies toward impulsive and tactless speaking. During this time, we are reminded of the power of words, we are reminded that words can be weapons and that it’s our responsibility to use them with awareness. Mars’ journey through the sign of the Twins is also a reminder of the power of our thoughts and of how our thinking can either energize us or deplete us.
Full Moon in Capricorn
Jul 21, 2024, 06:16 AM EST
This month’s Capricorn Full Moon happens on the 29º degree and conjunct with Pluto at 0º of Aquarius. This lunation marks the culmination of a journey of psychological and emotional transformation and facilitates revelations and insights about structural changes that need to be made in our inner and outer lives. During a collective and personal time of transition, we are required to gain awareness of how we need to mature and get better at discerning what is our responsibility and what isn’t. The Full Moon in Capricorn conjunct Pluto invites us to release defense mechanisms, layers of protection, and unconscious strategies we employ to indirectly have our needs met.
July 2024 Astrology Forecast
Leo season begins
Jul 22, 2024, 03:45 AM EST
The Sun’s ingress into his home sign of Leo reminds us to nurture our connection with the creative impulse, keep our inner flame burning, and invest our energy in what gives us energy back, in what we are passionate about, in what brings us joy. While the Sun is in Leo, we are inspired to explore our creative urges without expectations, without goals, andwithout seeking external approval. The Sun’s yearly transit through Leo inspires us to connect with our inner child’s playfulness, lightheartedness, and joy and reminds us to celebrate life and ourselves more often.
Mercury enters Virgo
Jul 25, 2024, 6:42 PM EST
As the month comes to an end, Mercury enters its Earth domicile of Virgo. Here, the Messenger supports our ability to focus on what is most important and inspires us to delve into self-analysis and self-improvement. This transit invites us to incorporate more discernment into our lives and to distinguish between what serves us and what doesn’t. During Mercury’s journey through Virgo, we will be motivated to focus on solving problems, improving functionality, and managing daily tasks efficiently. This transit inspires us to explore a new way of thinking about health and try taking care of our wellness considering all the dimensions of it.
July 2024 Astrology Forecast: Our Invitation
During July 2024, all the planets entering Leo are also going to oppose Pluto in Aquarius, highlighting power struggles and control dynamics, especially within relationships, while suggesting a higher likelihood of experiencing intellectual confrontations. In the upcoming weeks, we will have chances to gain awareness of how we manage the dance between fear and desire when it comes to being seen, being in the spotlight, and being authentically and creatively expressed.
Before leaving Taurus and entering Gemini, Mars is going to cross Uranus, marking a surge in our desire to rebel from constrictions, assert our freedom, and make drastic changes. Around July 15, when this aspect goes exact, we can expect rebellions and disruptive turning points, both on the world stage and in our individual lives.
Lastly, as previously mentioned, the anaretic 29º degree will be activated twice in July 2024, by Neptune stationing retrograde in Pisces and by the Full Moon in Capricorn. The 29º is a point of both crises and opportunity: the activation of the “anaretic degree” highlights the fact that a change is soon due, that we are going through a potent collective transition. The energy of completion, culmination, and transformation will be strongly present for the entire month of July 2024, a month likely to be filled with opportunities to make life-changing decisions, solve unfinished business, and create space for new beginnings. -Moon Omens

November 2024 Important Dates
AKA my notes on The Astrology Podcast's November Forecast hosted by Chris Brennan and Austin Coppock. It's been a minute and I'm glad to be back!
November 1st - New Moon in Scorpio
This lunation at 9 degrees of Scorpio highlights the two big oppositions that will dominate the month: Venus (17♐)-Jupiter(20♊) and Mars (29♋)-Pluto (29♑). These aspects culminate just 2 days later on the 3rd. Placements in mutable signs will see great help while late cardinal signs are getting challenges, and these two configurations aren't very connected--our hosts predict about half the population will be exuberant and the other half distressed. Jupiter and Venus bring enthusiasm, hope, rewards, victory and triumphs over long struggles, especially in the vibrant signs of Gemini and Sagittarius (although it may be a little too much chatter and information or putting too much faith in limited data with Jupiter retrograde).
November 2nd - Mercury enters Sagittarius This is the sign where he'll retrograde (discussed at the end of the post).
November 3rd - Venus opposite retrograde Jupiter, Mars enters Leo Venus-Jupiter discussed above under the lunation. Meanwhile, Mars (29♋) opposes Pluto (29♑) right before he enters Leo...a story that has been connected on the world scale to ruthless warfare and excessive deployments of military force. It's the first of 3 Mars-Pluto oppositions we'll get in the upcoming months, but the only one in Cancer-Capricorn. Mars presides over conflicts generally, and Pluto brings in the shadow element--think sneaky power plays, spying, and information warfare. On a personal level, Austin cautions us not to confuse feelings of powerlessness and paranoia with the real thing and be aware that this configuration will make us blow things out of proportion. One piece of advice for working through such a transit is to name or shed light on the metaphorical demon--don't let your worries stay nebulous, oppressive and all-encompassing. Seeing things for what they really are will bring it back to scale.
There will then be a huge tone change as Mars ingresses into Leo (for example, Mars in Gemini and Cancer brought big shift in US politics). Until the 19th, Pluto and Mars are no longer opposing each other by sign. The volume is turned down for a couple weeks...but it'll be back. Mercury will also join Mars in retrograde later this month (enters the shadow period, or the degrees it will revisit, on the 7th), so we're definitely going to be revisiting things. For example, we can expect delays and complications around the US election. Overall the Mars retrograde story doesn't wrap up until April (plus some personal zodiacal releasing stuff for Trump), which means some part of this story isn't gonna be over until the spring. Probably this means events we don't think are important now will come back to haunt us months later.
We're going to have 2 months of Mars in Leo regardless of anything else going on. Mars in Cancer is very emotional and internal and in personal lives can show up as being concerned for the safety of one's home or family, while on a larger level has indicated turf wars and disputes over origins or homeland. Mars in Leo will externalize and move very quickly; think showmanship and exuberance. Mercury is also moving from a water sign (Scorpio) to fire (Sagittarius), moving us from defense to offense and thinking forward. Additionally, as a fixed sign Leo usually has more certainty and staying power, but because of the retrograde it may take awhile to see what will last and what won't.
November 11th - Venus enters Capricorn She'll apply to a sextile with Saturn that culminates on November 21st. Though sextiles are weak aspects, Saturn is receiving Venus, making this a notable positive aspect of the month. Venus-Saturn helps us set and enjoy good boundaries.
November 15th - Saturn stations direct, Full Moon in Taurus
This lunation occurs at the same time that Saturn stations in Pisces, intensifying its significations. (For example, the Titan submarine disaster occurred during the first Saturn station in this sign). Positive manifestations of Saturn in Pisces involve setting necessary boundaries and restrictions: the Mars-Saturn conjunction in this sign included the first US laws about restricting forever chemicals in the water. Bet on problematic water stories in the news around the 15th.
The other major signature of this lunation is that the Moon (24♉) conjoins Uranus (25♉) immediately after, so there's a curveball or unexpected twist set to happen mid-month. Uranus and the Moon are also both on the fixed star Algol (as they were together in July), a star with dark and gory associations. Usually an exalted Moon in Taurus would be stabilizing, but something is disruptive this time around. In personal charts unexpected disruptions and plot twists can turn out to be exciting or work for our benefits--great news, you don't have to go to school because a pipe burst and it's closed for 3 months!
November 16th - Sun opposite Uranus
November 19th - Pluto enters Aquarius This is a major shift in world astrology. Pluto's been going back and forth between Capricorn and Aquarius for the past few years, but now he's in Aquarius for good (he won't return to Capricorn for ~237 years). Chris says cyberpunk dystopia scenarios are playing out, such as billionaires controlling mass media and other hi-tech means of control. The flipside of major corporate control is people using the technology available to them to improve their own lives. Unlike the noir unhappy endings of cyberpunk media, though, we know that there will be a new phase after this: Pluto in Pisces 15-20 years down the road. Thus the adaptations we make today can lead us into the future. Pay close attention to what happens around this ingress to see what the next decade or two will be like. Pluto's ingress to Capricorn in 2008 coincided with the banking crisis/recession and creation of bitcoin--things like AI, robotics, and possibly space flight will start coming into serious play.
November 21st - Sun enters Sagittarius
November 25th - Mercury stations Retrograde Placements from 6-22 degrees of Sagittarius (and other mutable signs) will start something this month that will be revisited, revised, or repeated on December 15th, the day Mercury stations direct. The story won't completely wrap up until Mercury exits his post-retrograde shadow period (that is, goes past 25♐, where he stationed,) on January 2nd. With Jupiter and Mercury in each other's signs there is mutual reception, bringing us victorious and enthusiastic messages...maybe too much so. Be wary of announcing good news too soon. With Neptune squaring them both from Pisces, there's an element of deception or confusion imparted to the beginning of this retrograde. Especially with Mercury in detriment in Sagittarius, there's a risk of telling tall tales or confusing myths for facts. Also coming up during this retrograde: Mercury has his cazimi (exact conjunction to the Sun) on December 7th at the same time that Mars stations retrograde, 12/6-12/7 is an important turning point. Overall, November ends on a cliffhanger that will resolve partway into December.
November 26th - Electional chart (if you must...!)
Between the Mars-Pluto opposition at the beginning of the month and Mercury retrograde at the end, so it's a difficult month to do things. But if you have to while Mercury is stationing, Chris recommends the 26th around 9AM. Having Capricorn rising in your location means the Ascendant ruler Saturn is in the 3rd house in a day chart with a sextile from Venus (17♑) as well as a square from Jupiter (17♊). The Moon is in Libra in the 10th house, applying to a square to Venus with reception (Moon is in Venus's sign) and applying to a trine with Jupiter. Thus, even though Mercury is stationing, the Moon is in good condition and you can get a halfway decent rising sign. It's also about as far away as we can get from the Mars-Pluto opposition. The downside is that with Mercury static you'll probably have to do revisions or run into delays with what you're starting, so keep in mind that you'll have to redo things. (It's still better than having to work with the Moon squaring Mars a few days later.)

December 2024 Astrology
December 2024 ushers in a dynamic blend of energies that balance optimism and vision with discipline and structure. As the year comes to a close, the cosmos presents opportunities for new beginnings, deep reflections, and transformative realizations, all guiding us toward a purposeful and aligned path forward.
The month begins with a New Moon in Sagittarius on December 1, inviting us to set intentions rooted in adventure, truth-seeking, and stepping out of our comfort zones. This fiery lunation, harmonized by a trine to Mars in Cancer and challenged by a square to Saturn in Pisces, sets the tone for balancing emotional alignment with practical ambition.
Mid-month, the Full Moon in Gemini on December 15 illuminates themes of communication, intellectual curiosity, and the interplay between facts and beliefs. A powerful T-square involving the Sun in Sagittarius and Neptune in Pisces highlights the need to reconcile logic, intuition, and spiritual ideals, offering clarity amidst potential confusion.
As the Sun enters Capricorn on December 21, marking the Winter Solstice, the focus shifts toward grounding, responsibility, and long-term planning. This transitional energy is amplified by a New Moon in Capricorn on December 30, providing the perfect opportunity to set ambitious, tangible goals for the new year ahead.
With Chiron and Neptune stationing direct, December also marks significant shifts in healing and spiritual clarity. These transits remind us to integrate lessons learned from introspection and align our actions with deeper emotional and spiritual insights.
December 2024 is a month to balance dreaming big with taking practical steps, grounding expansive visions in realistic plans as we prepare to welcome 2025 with clarity and purpose.
New Moon at 9º Sagittarius
December 1st, 2024
The New Moon in Sagittarius marks a fresh cycle in the optimistic and adventurous realm of the Archer. Sagittarius is a fire sign ruled by Jupiter, representing expansion, belief systems, higher learning, and travel. This lunation encourages setting intentions that align with exploration, truth-seeking, and stepping out of comfort zones. It's an excellent time for embracing new opportunities, expanding horizons, and reflecting on personal philosophies.
Mars Stations Retrograde at 6º Leo
December 6th, 2024 - February 24th, 2025
Mars, the planet of action, motivation, and assertion, begins its retrograde at 6º Leo, traveling backward into Cancer before stationing direct at 17º Cancer. While the retrograde period officially spans December 6, 2024, to February 24, 2025, the full cycle extends from October 2024, when Mars first entered its shadow, to May 2025, when it exits the shadow. This lengthy cycle emphasizes a deeper, prolonged period of reflection and recalibration.
General Themes of Mars Retrograde
Mars retrograde disrupts forward momentum, urging us to reassess actions, motivations, and desires. In Leo and Cancer, this retrograde focuses on reevaluating:
Personal identity and self-expression (Leo): How do we assert ourselves authentically?
Emotional roots and security (Cancer): Are we pursuing actions that honor our emotional needs and foundational stability?
Mars retrograde is not ideal for initiating new ventures but supports revisiting unfinished projects, realigning goals, and addressing unresolved conflicts.
Key Aspects
Opposition to Venus in Capricorn at 29º
Mars opposes Venus, creating tension between action (Mars) and reception (Venus). This dynamic highlights:
Reassessing relationships: Venus in Capricorn prioritizes commitment and structure, while retrograde Mars questions motivations and desires. Relationship dynamics may feel out of sync, requiring reevaluation of mutual goals.
Creative block vs. structure: Mars in Leo craves dramatic, bold self-expression, while Venus in Capricorn focuses on grounded, practical aesthetics. Finding harmony between passion and responsibility is key.
Financial recalibration: Venus rules finances and values, and this opposition may prompt reassessment of how resources are allocated or how financial priorities align with deeper motivations.
Opposition to Pluto in Aquarius at 0º
Pluto brings intensity and transformation to Mars’s retrograde journey:
Power struggles: Pluto’s influence can trigger conflicts rooted in control, power, and hidden motivations. This is a time to confront what’s buried beneath the surface, whether in relationships, career, or personal identity.
Transformational reevaluation: Mars retrograde combined with Pluto’s energy asks us to release outdated patterns, especially around how we assert ourselves and pursue power.
Innovation vs. self-expression: Pluto in Aquarius highlights collective transformation, contrasting Mars’s focus on individual creativity. This tension may push us to balance personal goals with societal contributions.
Understanding the Shadow Period
The shadow phase encompasses the degrees Mars retrogrades over, extending its influence. Key dates include:
October 5, 2024: Mars enters shadow at 17º Cancer
Themes of emotional security, home, and family begin surfacing.
December 6, 2024: Mars stations retrograde at 6º Leo
Reflection on personal creativity and identity becomes central.
January 6, 2025: Mars re-enters Cancer
Shifts focus back to emotional roots, home, and nurturing.
January 16, 2025: Sun opposes retrograde Mars
A turning point, illuminating what needs to be realigned or released.
February 24, 2025: Mars stations direct at 17º Cancer
Resolution and forward momentum begin.
May 2, 2025: Mars exits shadow at 6º Leo
Full integration of lessons learned during the retrograde cycle.
This cycle demands patience, as the full spectrum of Mars’s retrograde unfolds over months. Challenges encountered during the retrograde may not fully resolve until Mars exits shadow in May 2025.
Most Impacted by Sign
Leo (Creativity, Leadership): Redefining personal identity, confidence, and how you show up in the world.
Cancer (Emotional Foundations, Nurturing): Revisiting family dynamics, emotional security, and connections to home.
Capricorn (Structure, Discipline): Venus’s influence emphasizes reevaluating long-term commitments and professional goals.
Aquarius (Collective Transformation): Pluto’s presence prompts integrating individual desires with collective evolution.

Venus, the planet of love, values, relationships, and aesthetics, enters the innovative and unconventional sign of Aquarius. During this transit, relationships and values are infused with a desire for freedom, individuality, and connection to the collective. Venus in Aquarius encourages exploring new ways of relating, appreciating unique perspectives, and focusing on broader social dynamics in love and partnerships.
Key Themes of Venus in Aquarius

Humanitarian Values: Venus in Aquarius prioritizes fairness, equality, and collective well-being, emphasizing causes and relationships that align with higher ideals.
Conjunction to Pluto at 0º Aquarius
This Venus-Pluto conjunction in the early degrees of Aquarius amplifies the intensity and transformative potential of this transit. Pluto, the planet of power, transformation, and rebirth, adds depth and complexity to Venusian themes. Key influences include:
1. Deep Transformations in Relationships

3. Intensity Meets Innovation
Passion for Progress: The Aquarian backdrop energizes this aspect with a focus on revolutionary changes in relationships and creative expression.
Balancing Power and Freedom: The conjunction asks for careful navigation between independence (Venus in Aquarius) and deep emotional entanglement (Pluto).
Guidance for Navigating Venus in Aquarius and the Pluto Conjunction

Prioritize Authenticity: Focus on connections that support your individuality while respecting collective ideals.
Watch for Power Struggles: Be mindful of manipulation or control dynamics in relationships. Instead, seek mutual empowerment and honesty.
Innovate Creatively: Use this energy to explore new artistic or aesthetic avenues, focusing on unconventional or futuristic styles.
Reflection for Venus-Pluto in Aquarius
How can you embrace authenticity and innovation in your relationships and creative endeavors?
What outdated patterns in love, finances, or self-worth are ready to be transformed?
How can you balance personal freedom with the intensity of deep emotional connections?
Guiding Question: How will you use Venus’s transit through Aquarius and its conjunction with Pluto to embrace personal and relational transformation while aligning with collective ideals?

As Neptune resumes forward motion, the energies of this mystical planet shift from introspection and inner processing to outward expression and integration of spiritual insights.
The Effects of Neptune Retrograde
Neptune retrograde occurs annually, typically lasting about five months. During this phase, the nebulous and otherworldly energy of Neptune turns inward, prompting self-reflection and deeper exploration of illusions, spiritual truths, and subconscious patterns. Key themes during retrograde include:
1. Dissolving Illusions
Clarity through Disillusionment: Neptune retrograde often reveals where we’ve been deceived or self-deceptive, pulling back the veil of illusions. It can be a sobering time as fantasies are confronted with reality.
Facing Escapism: Coping mechanisms such as avoidance, denial, or escapist behaviors (e.g., excessive dreaming, substance use) are brought to light, urging healthier ways of addressing life’s challenges.
2. Deep Inner Work
Heightened Intuition: Neptune retrograde enhances introspection, encouraging connection with one’s inner guidance system, spiritual practices, and subconscious mind.
Healing Wounds of Compassion: This is a period of reassessing relationships, boundaries, and the balance between giving and receiving.
3. Revisiting Creativity and Spirituality
Reconnecting with Art and Spirit: The retrograde phase supports re-examining creative projects and spiritual beliefs, often uncovering hidden depths of inspiration or dormant talents.

Heightened Imagination: Neptune direct supports visionary thinking, allowing individuals to align their actions with their ideals and aspirations.
2. Renewed Faith and Hope
Spiritual Awakening: Faith in the universe, one’s purpose, or a higher power may feel revitalized, providing a sense of peace and optimism.
Compassion in Action: Neptune direct fosters outward expressions of empathy, encouraging charitable acts, forgiveness, and understanding in relationships.
3. Beware of Returning Illusions
Potential for Idealism: While Neptune direct restores a sense of wonder, it can also reintroduce tendencies toward over-idealization or escapism. Staying grounded in reality is essential.
Reflecting on the Retrograde Journey

Spiritual Depth: How did your connection to intuition, meditation, or spiritual practices evolve?
Reassessed Boundaries: Did you notice where compassion needed to be balanced with self-preservation?
What Can Be Done Moving Forward?

Anchor Compassion: Turn inward growth into outward action, focusing on forgiveness, kindness, or humanitarian efforts.
Pursue Your Vision: Allow yourself to dream big but take practical steps to manifest those dreams.

Transiting Saturn stations direct
Timeline (current events in bold)
Saturday, March 11, 2023, 23:06 UT - transiting Saturn enters pre-retrograde shadow, 0°31’ Pisces
Saturday, June 17, 2023, 17:27 UT - transiting Saturn stations retrograde, 7°13’ Pisces
Saturday, November 4, 2023, 07:03 UT - transiting Saturn stations direct, 0°31’ Pisces
Wednesday, February 7, 2024, 15:01 UT - transiting Saturn exits post-retrograde shadow, 7°13’ Pisces
===+++===
Per Martin Bulgerin at www . biopscinst . com:
Saturn retrograde is probably the least pleasant influence around. Saturn is a hard-nosed, Mr. Brass Tacks himself, the teacher with the big ruler that insists you dot all your I’s and cross all your T’s before recess. He teaches us about responsibility and claiming our authority in the world, a class (Character Building 101) many of us would rather skip. Needless to say, this kind of discipline and skill is very useful later, even though the cycle itself is rough to get through.
Saturn moving through Pisces is bound to take on a spiritual flavor. We have been taking spirituality very seriously - probably not talking about it much, preferring to work it out quietly. Some of us are learning to trust our own psychic abilities (or maybe even admit we have any). I suspect that for most people it’s been more of a personal, inner process - Saturn hasn’t made any aspects to the outer planets - this changes in 2024, though, with a series of semi-squares to Pluto.
But that’s next year. For the rest of 2023, and 2024 up to Saturn’s exit from its post-retrograde shadow, we can focus on manifesting all the hard work. If we have anything important between 0°31’ to 7°13’ (or between 15°31’ to 22°13’ of Cardinal signs), we need to put into practice what we’ve learned.

Energy Update: September 2024
September is an “8” Universal Month [9 (September) + 8 (2024) = 17 = 1+7 = 8] in an “8” Universal Year. 8 months are represented by the infinity symbol and the ouroboros – they are everything, and nothing, all at once. Everything comes full circle in an 8 month, often represented by the highest highs and the lowest lows. What comes up must go down. But, alternatively, what goes does must come up. In this way, 8 months can be seen as a type of equalization. This is very in line with the astrology of the month, where we return, on an astrological level, to what has gone before – in more than one case, for the last time. This will be a month to revisit unfinished business.
The Set Up
We begin the month with the Sun in Virgo, Mercury moving through its post-retrograde shadow in Leo, Venus in Libra, Mars and Jupiter in Gemini, retrograde Saturn and retrograde Neptune in Pisces, Uranus in Taurus, and Pluto just barely in Aquarius. By month’s end, the Sun and Mercury will have entered Libra, Venus will have moved into Scorpio, Mars into Cancer, and Pluto backward into Capricorn.
The Nitty Gritty
Everything comes full circle this month as we enter our first “8” themed month in our “8” themed year. This may feel like a homecoming for some, but for others, it will be a roller coaster ride straight into unfinished business. If the feeling of the year has been “change before you have to,” this is your astrological reminder that we are approaching eclipse season, which always strongly emphasizes the HAVE To side of that equation. Not only will we be experiencing a lunar eclipse, but we will also see all of our personal planets change signs and Pluto transition back into Capricorn for the very last time. The world is shifting again, and we may need to find that solid ground will be difficult to come by in the weeks ahead.
Pluto
This year has been colored by Pluto, our dwarf planet of death, change, and transformation, which has been slowly transitioning from the cardinal earth sign Capricorn (where it has been sitting for the last 15 years) into the fixed air sign of Aquarius. Our outer planets move very slowly and dictate the overarching feeling of the times; their transitions from one sign to another generally coincide with intense societal changes and times of turmoil and transformation. On the 1st, Pluto moves back into Capricorn for the very last time.
Pluto plays the long game. Like its namesake, it slowly degrades the area of life it touches. In Capricorn, Pluto has been breaking down our outdated systems of government and institutions. Pluto is a cosmic reminder that all things must die in their time so that something new can be born in its place. We are experiencing the final death throws of what was – but it won’t be pretty. Like all earth signs, Capricorn can get exceedingly stuck in its ways, and it often takes more than one quake to shake things loose.
Because this happens on the first, the energy of Pluto entering Capricorn from the back end will set the tone for the entire month. You may feel like you are regressing in some way in your life. A situation may arise that you thought was taken care of. This will be strongest felt by those with personal planets around 00° in the earth or cardinal signs. Where Aquarius rules innovation and the future, Capricorn rules the past and tradition; society may take a step or two back away from progressive measures or future-focused thinking.
The good news is that this Pluto in Capricorn retrograde won’t last long. Pluto will station direct in October and reenter Aquarius for the final time (for the next 248 years) on 11/19/24. The 80 days in between may be quite challenging, though. Something may need to change – inside your life and in the world. It’s decision time. The big flex throughout September (and into October and November) will be to let go of what needs to leave your life.
Our Lights: the Sun and the Moon
Our Sun will be in Virgo and Libra all month long, which means that this month marks the transition from Summer (Virgo) to Autumn (Libra) on 9/22. Also, because our lunar nodes will remain on the Aries-Libra axis through the new year, we are entering our second eclipse season. The Sun in Virgo will oppose retrograde Saturn in Pisces on Sunday, 9/8, which may show up in our lives as a check-in with our goals and what we must do to stay in alignment. Remember, we are in an “8” month in an “8” year, so things may feel all over the place at times – it’s okay, now come back to the center.
Virgo season tends to be about cleaning up, physically and metaphorically. The summer is drawing to a close, and it is time to prepare for the new season. As mentioned above, this whole year has been about endings and the hint of new beginnings (represented by Pluto’s planetary movements), and it may feel like we are down to the wire. This month’s big flex will be to take the new moon on 9/2 to clean up what you can and then let the lunar eclipse on 9/17 take you where it’s going to.
Our new moon on 9/2 is at 11° Virgo and is a 3/2 new moon.
6 (Virgo Moon) + 6 (Virgo Sun) = 12 = 1+2 = 3. 3 (Virgo New Moon) + 8 (September 2024) = 11 = 1+1 = 2.
The new moon is relatively unaspected, so we look back again to the numerology. Notably, the new moon carries “11” energy twice over; first, it falls in the 11th degree of Virgo, and, secondly, it is an 11/2 new moon. This is one of three Master Numbers in numerology – it heightens the energy of the final number (2). The number 2 is one of movement and connections – with the number 2, you are either adding (1+1=2) or subtracting (2-1=1). Through this, we can infer that this is a new moon that will get things moving.
Remember, Virgo is a sign of refinement. As the second of our two Mercury-ruled signs, Virgo lives in the mind, but rather than being the Idea Man (Gemini, nongendered), Mercury begins the work of perfecting and honing down in Virgo. This can feel like criticism (especially if you don’t have Virgo in your natal chart), so stay aware of touchiness in yourself and others around the new moon. Clean it up. Fix it up. Do what you’ve been putting off. Future-proof your life. Virgo’s new moon energy has a lot in common with the energy of Mercury retrograde, but it will pass far more quickly.
The Sun in Virgo will square off with Jupiter in Gemini around 9/12, which may feel unlucky but is, more likely than not, simply a bit challenging. Remember, Virgo is LOOKING to refine. That challenge is there so that you will better understand what you have to do.
Our lunar eclipse on Tuesday, 9/17, will be at 25° Pisces and is a 9/8 full moon.
12 (Pisces Moon) + 6 (Virgo Sun) = 18 = 1+8 = 9. 9 (Pisces full moon) + 8 (September 2024) = 17 = 1+7 = 8.
This is the real deal (even by Eclipse standards) due to a couple of major planetary aspects happening around the 17th, most notably Mars in Cancer forming a rough cardinal square with our lunar nodes in Aries and Libra.
But wait, Minx – how come the lunar nodes are in Aries and Libra, but the eclipsed moon is in Pisces? This is our first indication that our lunar nodes are reaching the end of their stay in their current signs. The lunar nodes are sitting at 06° and will move on to the Pisces-Virgo axis early in 2025. While this switch happens, we often see off-element eclipses that fall in the “wrong signs.” In this way, we can use this early Pisces lunar eclipse as a bit of an augury of what will come in the three years ahead when the lunar nodes transit Pisces and Virgo.
The eclipse won’t be close to the lunar nodes (11°), but Mars will be in a tight t-square, so expect tensions to be high. This is undoubtedly red-flag weather, so lie low and stay out of the arena if possible. When Mars is poorly aspected, the chance of violence goes up. We are also experiencing two strong oppositions on either side of the eclipse – Venus in Libra will oppose Chiron on Monday, 9/16, and Mercury in Virgo will oppose retrograde Saturn on Wednesday, 9/18. Note that all three of our personal planets are involved in the days around this eclipse – it will feel personal for most of us.
Standard eclipse advice applies here: Eclipses (like the sign of Virgo) tend to be a hit of instant alignment. The lunar nodes can be viewed as an arrow in the sky pointing from the South Node and towards the North. In our natal birth charts, the nodes show the natural flow of energy in our lives, and in the transits, they show the natural flow of energy happening at the time of the transit. Age-old astrological advice is to TRUST what happens on the days of the eclipses and, to a lesser degree, on the days between the set of eclipses, which dictates the “season.” Eclipses have a way of opening some doors and closing others. I’ll write more about the eclipse as we approach this lunar event.
Mercury
Mercury has finally exited its retrograde at the end of August and will chug its way quickly through the last bit of Leo, through Virgo, and into Libra by the end of the month. Virgo is the sign of Mercury’s domicile, so 9/9 to 9/26 will be an excellent time for all Mercurial pursuits (writing/language/technology/travel).
Keep in mind that before we get there, Mercury still needs to retrace the last dregs of its post-retrograde shadow. This includes the third of its trines with Chiron in Aries on 9/2 (the day of the new moon) – this could bring up some touchy bits from our total lunar eclipse back in April, which included a conjunction with both Mercury and Chiron not far from the spot where Chiron still sits in Aries today. Chiron spots can feel very touchy if you aren’t used to them (see also: don’t have a strong Chiron element in your birth chart or haven’t undergone a serious Chiron transit). A good way of looking at it is that the pain is there to show us what isn’t working so we can fix it. Again, this will be a month of refinement.
Mercury exits its post-retrograde shadow at 04° Virgo on 9/11 and doesn’t make any other aspects until it opposes retrograde Saturn in Pisces on 9/18. This is our planetary check-in or check-up. As mentioned in the section about our Luminaries, this happens a day after our lunar eclipse, so it may serve as the cosmic right time to take stock of what has happened and what we can do about it. Mercury in Virgo is very proactive, and Saturn wants us to be our best selves – we CAN use this opposition to our advantage even if, on the outside, it doesn’t seem advantageous.
Mercury squares off with Jupiter in Gemini on 9/22, making for a tense day of many misunderstandings. You may wake up the next morning to realize those mountains were mere molehills. Don’t take things too seriously, and it will pass quickly.
As Mercury moves towards its ingress into Libra on 9/26, they will trine Uranus in Taurus, oppose Neptune in Pisces, and trine Pluto in Capricorn – this is business as usual and will probably pass unnoticed.
Once Mercury enters Libra, they will meet up with the Sun and the South Node in an early stellium, which may illuminate (the Sun) new ways of thinking (Mercury) about our past (South Node). We are deep in eclipse season and should meet the last days of September with our eyes wide open.
Venus
Venus will be in the sign of her domicile, Libra, until 9/22, when she enters Scorpio, the sign of her detriment. In Libra, Venus can be entirely consumed with the ideals of traditional relationship roles, and in Scorpio, she turns her eyes towards secrets and – in the worst-case scenario – revenge! The first half of the month strongly supports relationships (at least the easily codified and societally acceptable ones), but things are not always what they seem with Venus. Keep in mind that Venus in Libra can sometimes be a bit controlling – especially regarding how she wants her relationship to appear. As Venus enters Scorpio, she can quickly become the scorned lover – even if she hasn’t actually been scorned!
In Libra, Venus can become so obsessed with her ideal of a relationship that she refuses to look at reality. This may come to a head on 9/4 as she meets up in conjunction with the South Node at 06° Libra. Relationships of all kinds will be on the chopping block that week, but most significantly, those that aren’t built on mutual support and understanding. Our lunar nodes on the Aries-Libra axis have been forcing us all to confront our personal biases around Independence versus Togetherness, and this time may be especially fraught for couples with different needs on this spectrum.
On 9/15, Venus trines Jupiter in Gemini, which is a good day to have a good day. On 9/16, she opposes Chiron in Aries, which might be a wake-up call to where we live in excess or otherwise outside our means or comfort zones. We may have to pay for the overindulgences of the day prior. She will trine Pluto in Capricorn right before she enters Scorpio, a reminder that we can’t always carry our past into the future.
While she is in Scorpio, we have to remember to watch our tongues and keep a check on our revenge fantasies. If the person did you wrong, fine, but if your own expectations just hurt you, you may need to check yourself through the end of the month.
Mars
Mars spends most of the month in Cancer, the sign of its fall. That means from 9/22 to 9/30, both of our relationship planets will be in uncomfortable positions. It’s worth noting that Mars will be in the sign of its fall earlier in the month, while Venus will be in her domicile.
Relationships may be tense all month long. Mars in Cancer is naturally square to Venus in Libra. Though the two won’t meet up in exact aspect with one another here, it still shows that partners in any given relationship may not see eye to eye with one another (regardless of gender). Mars will be better aligned with Venus in Scorpio, but neither is a peaceful or kind placement for relationship continuity. Just be aware and stay aware all month long. People, in general, are likely to be moody and a touch emotionally manipulative.
This spark exists all month long, and when Mars in Cancer forms a cardinal t-square in the skies as we enter eclipse season, we add the fuel. The problem that Mars in Cancer has is that Cancer’s natural motis apprendi is to move in a sideways direction (like its namesake, the crab), which often appears to be subversive or manipulative to others. Aries is all forward motion and wants nothing to do with this sidestepping, and Libra can tolerate it, but it’s not quite their way, either. This is a battle of the Cardinal Giants, and of any of the modalities, cardinal signs are the ones that don’t back down.
Mars is our problem child of the month; emphasis on the term child here. Mars in Cancer can be at his most petulant – throwing a full-on “Don’t tell me what to do! Don’t tell me what to do! Don’t tell me what to do!” temper tantrum because he didn’t get his way. Whatever comes up for us during this upcoming eclipse season, Mars is not going to like it. Not one bit.
Mars never likes giving up control, that’s for sure. It’s worth noting that we are working our way towards a Mars retrograde in Leo in December. You could say that the pumps are getting primed for a very real meltdown yet to come.
At the end of the month, on 9/30, Mars trines retrograde Saturn in Pisces, which is yet another cosmic check-up on ourselves to round out the month. We end the month in the middle of an eclipse season that spans the line between Aries-Libra and Pisces-Virgo, which means that from a lunar nodal perspective, we are about to pass from sign 1 back into sign 12. This mimics the energy of Pluto reentering Capricorn for one last stay. As above, so below.
The month ends much as it begins. The double loop of the 8 always completes itself.
Looking Ahead
October is Libra and Scorpio season. We will have an eclipsed new moon in Libra and a full moon in Aries later in the month. Jupiter will station retrograde, and Neptune will station direct. Once eclipse season ends, we will have a bit of a reprieve until Mars enters Leo in November.

april notes

i feel like march has been really intense... anyone else? i think the aqua/pisces/aries mix can be tough, and with the coming of spring it's a very impactful time of year. anyway, april starts out with the moon trine mercury, in sagittarius and aries. this is a nice transit, though very fast; your feelings and thoughts work together harmoniously to find the heart of the matter. complementing this is venus, which is currently conjunct neptune in ephemeral pisces, and sextile uranus in collected taurus. two very nice aspects here, bringing some much-needed calm and compassion to us before the storm that is mercury going retrograde hits. for general advice on mercury retrograde, see this post! throughout the first week of april, the moon will join pluto in aquarius. coupled with mercury in retrograde, i would say be cautious; not scared, but collect yourself and your thoughts before you speak up. don't go in blindly and don't give into your every desire. venus soon ingresses into aries, which can make it harder to ignore those desires, especially when the moon forms a conjunction. while it's good to chase your dreams, remember to stay grounded!
when the moon joins mercury in aries, we might be feeling pent up and ready to blow. if you can, look for an outlet that doesn't involve direct communication with others, unless you have a trusted person you can vent to knowing that they really get you. it's a good time to exercise or go hiking if you're into it, to burn off some frustration and clear your head. the new moon in aries on the 8th can amplify these struggles. again, i would say, do something physical (i like to clean my house around the new moon, it's a good workout and helps me feel calmer and less chaotic), and refine (or start to form) your plans. don't necessarily make any huge leaps right now though. later on, mars joins saturn to form a conjunction in pisces; this placement signifies immense inner strength and endurance. this is a good time to remind yourself that you're stronger than you give yourself credit for, and to be proud of how hard you are working to achieve your goals. it may bring up issues of balance, however; are you a workaholic? are you not putting in the effort/resources you could be? some reflection and a plan might be useful if you're feeling unbalanced.
later in the month, jupiter joins uranus in taurus. watch out for overindulgence and impulsivity! that being said, you've been working very hard, and it's okay to enjoy the fruits of your labour. just remember to appreciate the little things too, and not get caught up in sudden dreams and desires that, ultimately, steer you away from your goals. on the 20th, the sun ingresses into taurus, and we arrive at ox station! it's time to focus on our values and self-worth, our home life and environment, our work ethic and spending (or saving) habits, and take some time to enjoy the sweeter side of life. a little treat can go a long way, but let's stay focused. the sun square pluto in aquarius puts a bit of dampener on an otherwise warm and inviting transit, but it's nothing to fear; squares indicate a power struggle, yes, but they also indicate a lot of energy. how you channel that energy is up to you.
the full moon on the 24th could be quite tense, as pluto in aquarius makes it a t-square. while stress and tension aren't pleasant sensations or states to be in, this full moon could be a kind of catalyst moment; we often think of the full lunar phase as a time of release and reflection, and i think this will hold very true here. i'm personally expecting to feel like a wreck by this point, but often, for me at least, those "breaking point" moments help me gain clarity and rearrange what isn't working, or what's causing me stress. i hope that your full moon won't be stressful, but if it is, try doing something relaxing and just giving yourself the space to feel what you need to.
right at the end of the month, venus ingresses into taurus, which is a very comfortable placement. this transit asks us to lighten the load a little bit and get creative in life; to enjoy ourselves and find the balance between work and pleasure. to value ourselves the way we do our loved ones, and to build trust in ourselves and our inner circles. trust goes both ways of course, so we are tasked with being honest and reliable this month. wishing you all the best, as always.

Do you know something its happen in astrology this period? South Korea Martial Law , France Prime Minister, Bashar losing Allepo.
I'm not familiar with the charts of South Korea or Syria. I'd have to look them up.
The two prominent things happening right now is that a) Mercury is retrograde until 15 December and b) Mars is debilitated in sidereal Cancer.
Mercury went retrograde in November in sidereal Scorpio, which is ruled by Mars. It's being aspected by Saturn and Jupiter, also Rahu (north lunar node) if you give it the trine aspect. Scorpio is a tumultuous sign to begin with, but when Mercury went retrograde, it did so in the gandanta area of Scorpio. Gandanta means it can insinuate literal, symbolic, or metaphoric drowning.
Mars moved into its debilitation sign, (sidereal) Cancer, on 20 October. It will remain there until 20 January when it retrogrades into sidereal Gemini. Then it will pass through (sidereal) Cancer again from 02 April to 06 June 2025. Mars is also in the process of going retrograde right now. It stations tomorrow and then is retrograde until 23 February 2025. There generally tends to be more violence and anger when Mars goes retrograde.
What happened in France is less surprising to me given that President Macron appointed a prime minister from a party that didn't win the summer election. The Fifth Republic has a (sidereal) Cancer ascendant, which means Mars rules the 10th house (government). I don't know follow French politics closely, but I expect this situation to go on for a while. Not sure how long. Perhaps it is resolved before Christmas but perhaps not.
The healthcare CEO who was assassinated yesterday morning in NYC is a big story in the US. That may be the big thing that is related to the US, regarding these transits. I'm curious to see if it sparks any other copycat killings of CEOs or billionaires in the future. It might. They still haven't caught the guy yet as of this writing. The US could still have something else big happen in the next ten days.
I suspect the UK will also get hit with something surprising (not necessarily violent) before Mercury goes direct. UK has a (sidereal) Virgo ascendant, so Mercury rules the 1st (nation as a whole) and 10th houses. Given how many things have happened in the last week, I'd be surprised if they escaped this transit without anything significant happening.

Saturn stations direct in Pisces at 12° - moving forward, moving along, only dead fish follow the stream. Cultivating spiritual wisdom learned and earned during Saturns retrograde transit and then putting it into action. Focused intuition and trusting our feelings, giving structure and meaning to our creative lives and experiences. Who’s all grown up now? You are. Salud.
Full Moon in Taurus at 24° - conjunct the fixed star Algol, the head of the demon goddess Medusa. Punished for being beautiful, alluring and immortalizing, Medusa was transformed into a demon goddess by Athena due to her affair (defilement) with Poseidon. This full moon marks a culmination point in the areas of values, love and inner/outer security & beauty. Ideally we are better able to understand our needs in our relationships, better equipped to honor our standards and our true values, while also keeping our two feet on the ground. The full moon is also conjunct Uranus, so there can be curve balls & twist & turns, especially in our closest relationships. Change is constant, change can be fun, change is transformation. If you lose your head or if you’re realizing just how good of a head you have on your shoulders know that you’re right on time and your presence in this world is a gift. Happy Full Moon Friday.
Moon answers to Venus in Capricorn with a stationing Saturn. Mmmm. Very sexy, very distinguished.
