Transiting Chiron stations retrograde
Friday, July 26, 2024, 13:59 UT, 23°32’ Aries
Caveat: this may not have much of an effect on you, personally, unless Chiron is prominent in your birth chart (closely in aspect to the Sun, the Moon, &/or an angle).
Martin Bulgerin (www . biopscinst . com) wrote this about Chiron retrograde:
This is a time to discover previously unrecognized abilities within ourselves. Often, the most beaten down parts of ourselves are actually our greatest strengths. However, they've never been developed or cultivated and remain in that wounded, beaten down state. This lack of growth somewhere in our lives is now holding us back, preventing us from breaking through to the next level of our evolution. It's time to let these wounds heal, to let go of old grudges, to wake up to how powerful we can be if we cease being a "victim". Chiron is an initiator, helping us break through to possibilities undreamed of. However, you must be willing to take the initiative, consciously stepping out of life-as-usual.
In Aries, the “wounded, beaten down state” tends to be connected to our right to be alive at all.
Well, between now and December 29 (the direct station at 19°00’ Aries), we can work on that. Inner work (it’s retrograde) and important work.
One thing to note - Chiron is quite close to the TNO Eris, and in 2025 the two will be conjunct. We might want to plan ahead for that one?!?

Full Moon on Arcturus Talon Abraxas There is a very potent Super Full Moon in Aries that squares Mars in Cancer on October 17th. This is the last and biggest Super Moon for 2024. It is noted that Aries is also ruled by Mars.
The Sun, Earth and Moon are so closely aligned that it is almost a Lunar Eclipse - the Earth’s shadow just misses the Moon. In transit it may feel like a mini-eclipse. This ‘almost Lunar Eclipse’ follows the partial Lunar Eclipse on the 18th September and the annular Solar Eclipse on the 3rd October.
Neptune, Saturn, Uranus, Jupiter and Chiron are all stationed retrograde.
The Arcturus Gateway is open and peaking, as the Earth and our Sun come into alignment with the star Arcturus, which opens a powerful portal of Arcturian energy.
This Super Full Moon in Aries is bringing a powerful energy surge that will transform everything around us. This event is a cosmic turning point that will dismantle outdated systems and accelerate personal and global transformation like never before. It will influence manifestation and your spiritual growth
This Full Moon is all about courage, bold action and new beginnings. It amplifies the symphony of our emotions, rendering our sensitivity and intuition more acute. It encourages us to tap into our inner strength, confront what’s holding us back, and face challenges head on, transforming obstacles into growth opportunities.
Full Moons always illuminate what is hidden, bringing unresolved feelings to the surface for acknowledgment.
This Full Moon conjuncts retrograde Chiron in Aries. You may feel triggered by memories of your past.
Now is the time to release your fears, step into your power and ignite the inner warrior within you. Release deep emotional wounds/burdens. Trust your intuition. Be well grounded and hydrated. Tune in to your body’s needs and rest as required. Embark on a new journey of self-discovery and growth. Work through resistance and go with the flow. Get ready for a major shift and embrace the energy of change. -The Drakontas Connection

Energy Update: July 2024
July is a “6” Universal Month [7 (July) + 8 (2024) = 15 = 1 + 5 = 6] in an “8” Universal Year. Six months are connective and somewhat comforting; we tend to reconnect with our Others after the rough conflicts of the “5” month that came before. This is somewhat at odds with the month’s transits, which are pushing us forward and outward. We are in the liminal phase where something has ended, but the new beginning hasn’t happened yet; not really.
The Set Up
We begin the month with the Sun, Mercury, and Venus in Cancer, Mars and Uranus in Taurus, Jupiter in Gemini, retrograde Saturn and Neptune in Pisces, and retrograde Pluto in Aquarius. When you include our North Node and Chiron sitting in Aries, we still have a long line of planetary activation stretching from the last signs of the horoscope (Aquarius and Pisces) through the first signs of the horoscope (Aries through Cancer). After this month, the cluster will break, but for now, we are still stuck in this in-between energy.
By the end of July, the Sun and Venus will have moved on into Leo, Mercury will have moved all the way through Leo and onto Virgo (starting the pre-shadow phase of its next retrograde cycle), and Mars will enter Gemini. Additionally, Neptune will retrograde at 29° Pisces.
The Nitty Gritty
There is a notable lack of major planetary aspecting during July because all of our personal planets are still so closely stacked together. Instead, we see repeat activation between these planets and the lunar nodes in Aries. Cancer is the midway point between our North Node in Aries and our South Node in Libra, and we are at a turning point late in this lunar cycle. We have one last set of eclipse to get through before our nodes switch to Pisces-Virgo with the new year, and it’s starting to show. This is crunch time – whatever has been coming up in our lives around the themes of independence (Aries) versus codependence (Libra) is coming to a head.
We are experiencing these nodal hits thrice over: the first time through a sextile while the planets are in Gemini, a second time in square while they are in Cancer, and a third time in trine while they transit Leo. Things will be easier and then more difficult and easier again. But easy, when it comes to the lunar nodes, is really just a matter of perspective. The lunar nodes can be read as a compass pointing in the sky, away from the South Node’s current position and towards the North Node’s current position. Where the North Node is needs work – it is where we are heading.
Whether that’s a good or bad thing is up for debate. The lunar nodes happen to us—they create the eclipse cycles that enact the greatest moments of change in our lives. Like the influence of the outer planets, eclipse cycles are beyond our comprehension; at best, we can control how we react to them.
In essence, the days of nodal activation throughout the month (of which there are many) are days to watch out for. Let’s take a neutral stance here—eclipses help when we need doors opened but can also slam doors shut that we shouldn’t walk through. If you are on top of things and paying attention, you can use days like this to determine where your life is headed. Eyes wide open is the name of the game all month long.
Lunar Nodal Activation Dates:
7/2 – Sun in Cancer square the lunar nodes, 7/9 – Mercury in Leo trine the North Node in Aries/sextile the South Node in Libra, 7/12 – Jupiter in Gemini sextile the North Node in Aries/trine the South Node in Libra, 7/19 – Venus in Leo trine the North Node in Aries/sextile the South Node in Libra
Each of these dates will be highly liminal (7/2, especially as it is also the date that Neptune stations retrograde) and can be used for divination, pathworking, dreaming, and other magics with which this type of energy is naturally augmented. Stare aware of what happens to you during this time and believe it. Sometimes, difficult truths are revealed through lunar node activation; looking them straight in the eye is better than burying your head in the sand.
Likewise, Chiron – our Wounded Healer – is also in Aries and will be our other major player of the month. To gain a better perspective, we should take a wider step away and discuss how these move around the horoscope wheel. Chiron, like our planetary bodies, moves forward through the horoscope wheel while our North Node, as a mathematical point in the sky, moves backward through the signs. These two have already met and passed each other – Chiron is nearing the end of the Aries, and The North Node is nearing the beginning. This has made Aries (and, by default, the other cardinal signs) the seat of change in the world right now. And since it’s Aries, it is quite the hot seat.
I’ve written a lot about how this whole era we’re in has a major theme of “change before you have to,” which is running afoul of our very human urge to do the exact opposite of our best interests.
There’s a line between standing up for ourselves, allowing each other to BE ourselves, and being a collective that sees each other and cares for the whole that we’re just not getting right. This long-term opposition between the North Node and Chiron in Aries and the South Node in Libra fully represents this in the skies. Whatever this story means to you – whether you’ve been seeing it in the news, experiencing it personally in your life, or ignoring it all together; this chapter of it is ending.
And it fucking hurts. Let’s take a minute to stop and acknowledge the very real pain that most of us (I suspect it’s all of us) are feeling. The aloneness of the quarantine – that was Chiron in Aries. The way that it’s been triggering you every time you realize that your parents don’t actually see you as a separate human being – that’s this whole opposition coming into play. Has your friend group completely fallen apart? South Node in Libra. Has your relationship? Same. We can infer that, in general, what the South Node removes is for the greater good, but with Chiron so involved, it does not feel this way.
If every fiber of your being hurts, you are right on time. And I’m sorry. As somebody who has Chiron on my Ascendant, I can attest to how much it sucks to have to feel all of the pain that Chiron brings to the party.
We’ve got about six more months of this intense Chiron action interconnected with the lunar nodes, and then the nodes will move on. Sure, we all need to sit with this Chiron in Aries energy for another couple of years, but it won’t be involved in our eclipse cycles any longer. That will be a huge relief.
I can also say that, like eclipse/Node energy, Chiron is best faced with your eyes wide open. Chiron is the cosmic reminder that shit is compost and all decaying matter feeds life once more. Fields need to lie fallow. Pain is a signal that can be followed to a source. Sometimes, it’s faulty wiring. Sometimes, you can even replace that wiring. This tends to take a lot of self-compassion, and there doesn’t seem to be much going around – do what you can. Treat yourself like your favorite pet or houseplant.
Chiron days to stay aware of:
7/6 – Venus in Cancer square Chiron in Aries, 7/15 – Sun in Cancer square Chiron in Aries, 7/18 Mercury in Leo trine Chiron, 7/30 – Venus in Leo trine Chiron
All of these dates could be used for healing magic of all kinds.
This month, our big day to look out for is 7/15, when Mars conjuncts Uranus at 26° Taurus. This is an accident waiting to happen, so don’t do anything stupid. Avoid unnecessary travel, don’t play with fireworks, etc. The Sun is square to Chiron all day, too, so it has the potential to really hurt. This isn’t a reason to panic – this is an astrological weather report; whereas some days you might need to bring an umbrella, this is the kind of day where you might want to stay inside. Metaphorically speaking, of course.
Our day to look forward to for the month is our full moon on 7/21, which is a true astrological blue moon – meaning it’s the second moon in a row in the sign of Capricorn. This is highly auspicious and doubly so because we also have two new moons in Capricorn this year (one in January and another in December!). Sitting at 29° Capricorn, it will call in a lot of the energy of Pluto, who is sitting at 00° Aquarius, inching its way back toward Capricorn one last time.
Again, note the intense cardinal sign activation that is happening all month. This full moon will also tie in Chiron in Aries through a wider square. Heads up to anybody with their lights or personal planets in late Aries, Cancer, Libra, or Capricorn – now can be your time if you can get through the pain enough to see the change. Y’all are stubborn folks, so I have faith in your capabilities.
This moon, along with the full moon on 6/21 at 01° Capricorn, are great days to do any long-form intentional work towards money, finances, career, or any task that involves structure. Work with the moon’s cycles here: where do you want to be in six months when the moon is new in Capricorn once more? But stay aware that Saturn will crash your party whether you invite them or not, so you might as well extend an official invitation.
The numerology of this full moon is 5/2. [0 (Capricorn Moon) + 4 (Cancer Sun) = 14 = 1+4 = 5. 5 (Capricorn full moon) + 6 (July 2024) = 11 = 1+1 =2.] There’s a chance to break a cycle (5) that can become the start of something new (2).
Our new moon on 7/5 is at 14° Cancer and should be more low-key. The moon is in its home in the sign of the crab, making this day especially lunar and watery. If ever there was a day to wash wash wash it all away – either with a mop or the ocean waves, it is a Cancer Moon. The numerology of the day is 8/5 [4 (Cancer Moon) + 4 (Cancer Sun) = 8. 8 (Cancer New moon) + 6 (July 2024) = 14 = 1+4 = 5.] The innate 8 energy echoes that of the moving tides; it ebbs and flows. We see the echo of the 5 energy of change and movement throughout this month.
Otherwise, the seasons shift as we move deeper into summer energy all month. There’s an echo of egoic Leo energy in the air all month long as all three of our more moveable personal planets move through the sign of the lion. It’s summer when, most of all, we really start to feel ourselves. Remember, this isn’t a bad thing. Do a bit of magic to remind yourself how much of a badass you are. As a little treat.
Neptune will retrograde, but we won’t really notice as it’s so slow-moving anyway. We need to keep an eye on Mercury, though, as it is whipping through the summer signs before its mid-summer retrograde. The crossover from Fixed to Mutable signs is highlighted here as Mercury will retrograde from 04° Virgo to 21° Leo starting in early August. Be aware. I will be writing more about this soon.
Months that begin with the sign of the crab on the horizon are usually emotional and moody, and this is no exception. Remember that it’s okay to tread water when things get too deep, and you can let the rip current take you – eventually, it will let you go, and you can swim to shore. It’s when you fight it that things can go really wrong, really quickly.
Practice your very best self-care. Treat yourself with the same kindness that you would your most loved Other. If you’ve got anything left after that, extend it to as many of your Others as you can.

Shake-Ups, Fresh Starts, and Mercury Retrograde
As we wrap up the crazy astrology of July 2024, things only get crunchier in August, thanks (in large part) to Mercury Retrograde. The good news? Mercury doesn’t station direct until Sunday, which means you have all week to get your ducks in a row and prep for the backwards slide. Mishaps, miscommunications, and mysterious misplacement of your keys / phone / wallet will likely ensue; laughing at the missteps and backing up your technology, whilst giving into the reflective nature of the 3-week-long transit, is highly recommended.
The other good news? We have a lovely opportunity to start over and re-stoke a flame for your creative projects, passions, romantic life, and/or star power. And after a tense and restless jolt to your love life or wallet, these also get a reset come Sunday. Relationships move from dramatic and passionate to organized, efficient, and nurturing. Those are the main events of this week. Here’s the actual astrology:
July 30 – Venus in Leo trines retrograde Chiron in Aries (23°55)
Aug. 2 – Venus squares Uranus in Taurus (26°)
Aug. 4 – Leo New Moon (12°36)
Aug. 4 – Venus enters Virgo
Aug. 4 – Mercury stations Retrograde in Virgo
For the record, Aug. 4 happens in this order: Leo New Moon at 5:13 am MST, Venus enters Virgo at 8:22 pm MST, and Mercury stations retrograde at 10:56 pm MST. So, goal-setting, intention-setting, any sort of plan, publication, release or launch is still OK on the Leo New Moon, as Mercury isn’t technically retrograde yet. (Yes, Mercury is in its shadow phase, which many people say is MUCH WORSE than Mercury Retrograde, but I’m not sure how or why. Anyway!) Long story short: don’t let mercury Rx scare you away from living.

do u happen to know what sorts of astrology things are happening atm im trying to figure out y i feel poisoned and abandoned >_<
DUDE idk what it is about this day specifically but so many people i know had a really abnormally bad day. i'm thinking it has some connection to mercury stationing direct right ON the north node in aries that happened today ? because aries is ruled by mars & rn mars is in pisces getting really close to neptune. so all the bodies transiting aries rn (mercury NN venus chiron) are kind of being inhibited by a fog.. and mars conjunct neptune in itself is intense, it's a real dissolve of certain karmic contracts since neptune is getting ready to leave pisces this is the last time we'll ever see them conjunct in pisces, in our lifetimes. we're also still under a jupiter uranus conjunction which only happens once every 12-14 yrs, and the last time it happened in taurus was 1941. so there's that.. we're just barely coming out of eclipse season, merc retrograde too it's just been relentless. that whole aries season w/ mars in pisces, was not my fuckening cup of tea..
but hey we got some nice stuff coming up, in a few days venus enters taurus & mars enters aries, so they'll be in their home signs & WAYY more supported. mercury is direct again too. if life been feeling like u been trying to drive w the brakes on, all this shld help to lift some tension away. defnitely pay attention to what's calling u to surrender during these next few days w the mars/neptune merge. definitely rest a lot!! cus things are about to accelerate in May. defnitely look into the pisces/aries/taurus areas of ur own chart for more specific clues. Good luck, 2012-chan, stay safe out there... <3PMD9

week of january 8th, 2023
aries: the long sludgy trudge of mars retrograde comes to an end at last later this week. you feel some energy returning even in the midst of a semi-gnarly chiron interaction. but you may wish to hold off on any major actions for another week or two while your ruling planet gets back up to speed.
taurus: any money woes of recent months begin to resolve themselves after the astrological events of this week. venus makes a square with uranus in your sign, making it perhaps not the best time to shake up the look of your brand or reputation.
gemini: sometimes, long transits become easy to forget about, like background white noise. but the retrograde of mars in your sign was probably not one of these transits. while things may be a little chaotic this week as it gets back to its normal motion and heads onward to cancer, soon enough those mars themes will calm.
cancerians: if you've felt weary of soul since mars went retrograde, prepare to feel a little more vibrant. do not discount the possibility that you may have some confusion or agitation first, but you'll be re-energized soon enough.
leo: venus and the nodes cause tension in multiple facets of your life, and force you to confront where you're going and where you've been. fortunately you have good friends onside to help out. if you're not sure who that is, then extend some kindness yourself and see who appreciates you most.
virgo: stagnant career stuff gets a little shove of momentum with mars going direct this week. soon enough it picks up speed and your public sphere/impact return to their normal states.
libra: mental stuckness or a feeling of going stir crazy should begin to subside by the end of this week. perhaps you didn't even notice the feeling was there, but you feel the relief of its absence even so.
scorpio: a venusian square to the nodes as well as the resumed direct motion of mars both affect you quite strongly this week. it's tough stuff but you're well known to be the master of regeneration.
sagittarius: carefully curate your circle of friends and meaningful acquaintances. a trine with venus puts butterflies in the stomach of mars just before the end of his retrograde. likewise you get some relationship development this week, likely involving a person you already know fairly well.
capricorn: mars goes direct again this week in your 6th house and your routines can take a more external tone again. but perhaps more noticeably for you, since pluto in your sign since 2008 has taught you well the language of tectonic cthonic shifts, mercury retrograde makes the rumblings of the end of its recent backwards-seeming motion.
aquarius: sometimes it seems like no one lets you ever have any fun! if this has been the case lately it's about to lighten up around here. flirtation is a talisman this week. make some art, too.
pisces: even if you've hardly been out of the house since mars went retrograde, its station & direct motion this week likely have a distinctly "welcome home" kind of vibe to them. things feel more "right" again.

Moon transiting Gemini, Tuesday, August 27th, impulses you to find or to be an instigator, a partner in crime, or a creative and imaginative collaborator, as the moon rides the sky with wingmen Mars and Jupiter, in Gemini, while forming a Minor Grand Trine with Chiron retrograde in Aries, and Mercury retrograde in Leo, as well as a T-square aspect pattern with Venus in Virgo, and Neptune retrograde in Pisces conjunct the North Node in Aries. These patterns still convey some of yesterday's Wendy/Peter Pan archetype energy, but today the moon, Mars, and Jupiter interacting through a strong stand alone square aspect to Saturn retrograde in Pisces, as well as a square between Chiron in Aries and Pluto retrograde in Aquarius, and further square aspects between Uranus in Taurus and Mercury in Leo, as well as the sun in Virgo, increases the propensity for perverse, resistive, and rebellious thoughts and actions to surface. Choosing a time out for physical activity to burn off pent up frustration or anger, or to buy yourself some time to avoid saying or doing something that could hurt you or another, is your wisest course of action. If you suspect you might make a mess of things by becoming too involved, then take yourself out of the equation. You might clear your head, and have a positive attitude adjustment if you change the task or the scenery, and removing yourself temporarily from a difficult relationship could help you to see things from the other person's perspective. Mercury will station direct tomorrow at 4 PM EDT, but it often pulls its worst pranks just as that finish line is in sight. "If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all" - or at least make sure you can trust the people you vent to gossip with, or confide in. If you decide to be outspoken or break the rules, be aware of the ramifications, and prepared to pay the fine or price.

Transiting Chiron stations retrograde
Sunday, July 23 (19°57’ Aries) - Tuesday, December 26 (15°27’ Aries), 2023
Caveat: this probably won’t be a big deal for you unless Chiron is prominent in your chart: in close aspect to the Sun, the Moon, or an angle. (I’m a good example of what I mean by that: Chiron is conjunct my IC, trine my Sun, sextile my Moon, trine my North Node, and square my Asc/Desc.)
At www . biopscinst . com, Martin Bulgerin wrote (I’m letting him talk about it because I’m sweating too much to focus):
I’ll add that this work is all inward for the duration of the retrograde. A good time for some therapy or, if you can’t afford that, some long walks sans earbuds/airpods - journaling - anything that gets your brain open enough, without distraction, to consider how to turn a sore spot into a strength.
Chiron makes zero major aspects to any of the slower moving planets, during its retrograde months. Which is kind of nice; we can do the work without any pressure or interference from the wider world.

Intuitive Astrology: Chiron Retrograde July – December 2023
by Tanaaz
Chiron stations retrograde in Aries on July 23, 2023, in the midst of some incredibly significant and intense cosmic energies.
The Lunar Nodes changing signs, the Cancer New Moon, the Sun moving into its home sign of Leo, and Venus Retrograde all happen just days before Chiron, the asteroid known as the wounded healer, journeys into retrograde.
All of this energy combined will intensify the healing work of Chiron, allowing some of our most painful heartbreaks to be channeled into something new.
Chiron will remain in retrograde until December 26, 2023, and by this point, we are likely to have experienced some deeper wisdom, compassion, and understanding from whatever our wounds were trying to teach us.
Let’s dive deeper into what Chiron’s energy is all about and what you can expect as it journeys retrograde in 2023 –
Chiron, the Wounded Healer
Chiron, the asteroid, is named after Chiron, the centaur, and the story of Chiron can help us to understand the energy it radiates.
The myth goes that Chiron was abandoned at birth and left to fend for itself. Chiron was unwanted and unloved, but it was through this painful wound of abandonment and difficult upbringing that he was able to rise up and turn his wounds into powerful portals of healing.
It was Chiron’s wounds that paved the way for his role as a powerful healer, teacher, psychic, and philosopher.
Chiron was able to take his wounds and allow them to guide him in a direction of power. Chiron knew his wounds would never leave him, but he allowed them to become portals of wisdom, compassion, and learning. This is why Chiron is referred to as the wounded healer.
We all possess the same powers as Chiron. Inside each and every one of us has the ability to take our wounds and pain points and turn them into a source of power. As the poet Rumi says- the wound is where the light enters you.
Chiron in our Cosmic Skies
Chiron orbits between Saturn and Uranus. The position of Chiron between Saturn and Uranus is significant to understanding the energy it brings.
Saturn is a very grounded, rooted energy, whereas Uranus is considered a planet of a higher vibration. Uranus’ energy can also bring about awakenings and the rise of kundalini energy.
Chiron can act as a bridge between these two states of being and is sometimes referred to as the Rainbow Bridge.
The Rainbow bridge signifies the link between one state of consciousness and the next, and this idea is further amplified if we look at Egyptian Astrology. In Egyptian Astrology, Chiron goes by another name- Anpu or Anubis, the god of the afterlife and lost souls. Many of the myths and legends used in Western Astrology can be traced back to Egyptian and Babylonian astrology, and Anubis can be seen as Chiron’s counterpart.
Just like Chiron, Anubis was abandoned as a child. It was through this painful upbringing that Anubis was able to rise up into the noble profession of the Guardian of the Underworld.
Anubis’s job was to welcome the newly dead to the underworld and guide them as they transitioned to the afterlife.
It takes a special soul to be given such a position, and no doubt, it was Anubis’ own pain and suffering that allowed him to develop the compassion, discernment, and loyalty to walk souls through such a journey. As Chiron or Anubis travels retrograde, we can access our own wounds to reflect on how to use them as a source of power and healing.
This energy is not about obtaining a state of perfection through healing, rather it is about bringing acknowledgment and acceptance to our wounds in a way that allows us to access the wisdom they can bring.
Chiron Retrograde in Aries
Chiron doesn’t want us to heal because it will make us “better.” It wants us to learn how to source these wounds as powerful portals of wisdom, knowledge, and power. By extracting this information, we can step into a greater and fuller potential.
This level of healing work is about transcendence rather than trying to “fix” ourselves in order to be worthy. We are already worthy, regardless of the wounds that live within.
This energy is especially amplified, as Chiron is currently in the sign of Aries, the headstrong ram.
With Chiron in Aries, we are even more supported to find the strength, confidence, and courage that can arise when we face our wounds and look at them not as pain points but as points of potential.
Chiron in Aries reminds us that it is far more beneficial to allow our wounds to inspire, motivate, and offer strength, rather than to think of them as something that slows us down or makes us inferior in any way.
Wounds are painful, and some wounds cut so deep that they never truly leave us, but this is ok. We don’t have to be a neatly wrapped package in order to lead the best life possible.
We can use this retrograde energy not to sugar-coat our wounds, but to recognize that just like Chiron and Anubis, our suffering very often can lead us to the path of our destiny.
Use this retrograde energy to reflect on what your wounds have taught you. Sit with your wounds and get to know them. See if you can release any judgments and just sit with any pain they bring up. As you get comfortable with this, see if you can reflect on what these wounds have taught you, how they have shaped you, and what wisdom they may have for you.
Open to the wisdom and potential that your wounds have to offer.
Chiron Retrograde Exercises
1.) Identify a painful heartbreak you have been facing. See if you can step outside of this heartbreak momentarily, and challenge yourself to identify 5 things you can learn from this experience.
2.) Take a challenging situation you may be facing with another person. Putting all other emotions aside, see if you can just look at the situation from a place of compassion for the other person. Observe what comes up for you. Next, put all emotions aside and see if you can find compassion for yourself in this situation. Observe what comes up for you.
3.) Think of a painful wound from your past. How has this wound inspired you? How can it continue to inspire you moving forward?
4.) Journal Prompts:
* If my pain could talk, it would want me to know…
* When I think of my hardships, I am grateful that…
* I am stronger today because…
5.) Try this Chiron Ritual

April is a “3” Universal Month [4 (April) + 8 (2024) = 12 = 1+2 = 3] in an “8” Universal Year. 3 months are about connection and building – three can be a party OR a crowd, depending on your perspective. With all eyes on Aries season and the Sun, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Chiron, AND the North Node in Aries over the month, it’s more likely to be the latter. We’re focused on independence and our own journies during this time.
The Set Up
We begin the month with the Sun, Mercury, Chiron, and the North Node in Aries; Venus, Mars, Saturn, and Neptune in Pisces; Uranus in Taurus, and Pluto in Aquarius. That’s a huge cluster of planets all in sequential signs overstretching the last two and the first two signs of the horoscope. This shows that this is a fundamental shift and ending going on – likely in the world around us and our own lives. We’re also deep in between eclipses and entering retrograde season.
By month’s end, all of our personal planets except Mercury will have changed signs. The Sun will have moved on into Taurus, and Venus and Mars will have moved into Aries. Additionally, Mercury will have retrograded and stationed direct again.
The Nitty Gritty
All eyes are on the sign of Aries as it will be involved with most of the major astrological transits of the month. Ten of the fifteen total aspects in April are conjunctions and all but two will be found in the sign of Aries. That’s a lot. Expect the energy to be fast, dry, hot, and ornery all month long. Aries is a sign of endless ambition, or, at least, endless energy. Aries need focus (given by their ruling planet Mars) and an unobstructed pathway to be at their best. Neither of those two things will be in ample supply.
This is to say that this will be a rough Aries season. Everyone will want to be doing, going, and accomplishing but getting nowhere fast. There is a major culprit here as the energy of each astrological season is augmented by the planetary ruler of its sign (in Aries’s case, Mars). For most of the month, Mars will be mired in the watery depths of Pisces. While Aries is sign #1, Pisces is sign #12. Pisces has seen and done it all, or at least that’s what they like you to believe. Pisces doesn’t move fast, they abide like The Dude – they’d rather spend their time daydreaming and fantasizing than accomplishing much in the tangible world. Mars can’t find any solid footing in the sign of the fish and we all may end up feeling like we are treading water (or drowning) if we try to maintain too much control.
This is going to manifest as a shitstorm of epic-level temper tantrums.
Let’s be real here: Aries isn’t known for being the most mature sign. That’s not what they are here for. Astrology teaches us that all sign energies have a place and Aries’s is to be the trailblazer. As Sign #1, Aries is SUPPOSED TO step out into the world on their own. It is their cosmic design to run ahead and scout things out. Part of emotional maturity comes from the ability to stop and consider how your actions affect another – although it’s a powerful skill, it naturally inhibits some types of growth and innovation.
Aries tends to keep its blinders on for a reason. Nobody gets to the top of the mountain if we all slow down and keep pace with the person who can’t climb. The mature Aries knows that they are wearing blinders and when to take them off.
Most actual Aries types (Sun, Ascendant, Moon, or Mars in Aries, at least those that have lived long enough to have experienced a Saturn return) have learned this lesson. The problem comes when EVERYBODY ELSE has to stew in this thwarted Aries energy.
I’d say pack your patience, but I doubt there will be enough patience to go around.
April won’t begin with a bang but with a liminal whimper as Mercury stations retrograde at 27° Aries on the first. We’re already deep in this story – Mercury has been in Aries since 3/10 (in its pre-retrograde shadow since 3/18) and will remain there until mid-May. This is a very long stay for our fast-moving planet which normally takes 2-3 weeks to transit a sign. This shows us that there is work to be done around Mercury in Aries themes: notably owning our voices and speaking up for ourselves. You can read more about the Mercury retrograde here.
Important dates involving the retrograde: 4/1 Mercury retrogrades, 4/11 Sun conjunct retrograde Mercury, 4/15 retrograde Mercury conjunct Chiron, 4/19 retrograde Mercury conjuncts Venus, 4/25 Mercury stations direct It’s worth noting that from 4/15-4/17 and even a bit beyond that, we will be experiencing a major Aries stellium between retrograde Mercury, Venus, Chiron, and the North Node. These dates will be a big hit on your Mercury retrograde story, however that shows up for you.
Standard Mercury retrograde advice applies from 4/1-4/25 but most especially on the above dates: check your work twice, save often, think before you speak/send, and enjoy the strange winding path rather than worrying about your destination. Apply the above advice metaphorically and physically in equal measures. Mercury retrograde is a good time to focus on work you’ve already started: practice the words that start with re: review, revise, rethink, retrace…
As if to deepen the mood, Venus will conjunct Neptune on 4/3 in late Pisces. Que the mists and probably some waterworks, too. Even your emotions seem unreal. Neptune is considered to be the higher octave of Venusian energy – while Venus focuses on human love, Neptune can tap into universal love. Both are at home in the watery sign of Pisces (Venus’s exaltation and Neptune’s home sign). It could end up being a sweet day in amongst the muck. This transit will pass quickly.
On Thursday 4/4, Venus enters Aries and takes on her mantle as the Starlett. Venus is in her detriment in Aries which is a fancy way of saying that the natural (giving/receiving) energy of Venus is at odds with the aggressive cardinal fire energy of the Ram. Whereas Venus – especially in her rulership of Aries’s sun-sign opposite, Libra – is focused on connection and togetherness; Aries is focused on the self. If you want to get along with Venus this month (work in the arts, fashion, or need to get along with people at all), maybe throw here a little something-something on and around this date. Roses and red wine would do nicely.
Since we’re counting: Mercury isn’t at their best in retrograde, Mars isn’t at his best in the waters of Pisces, AND Venus is not at her best as she’s in detriment in Aries. We can presume that we will face some personal challenges with all our personal planets afflicted in some fashion.
Venus in Aries may make you want to make your mark or step out into the limelight. Spoiler alert: nobody is watching.
This leads to our total solar eclipse on Monday, 4/8 at 19° Aries. This is our major pain point of the month as it will be exactly conjunct to Chiron and closely conjunct to the North Node. This may be our major pain point for the entire year. Chiron is the Wounded Healer which shows that the pain can be healed but this comes with a major caveat: the way out of Chironian pain is THROUGH the pain. This isn’t the kind of situation that can be laughed away or repressed easily and there’s a huge danger here in trying to put a bow on a pile of shit and call it your new pet. Truth be told, with the North Node so closely involved, you may not be able to look away even if you want to.
This won’t apply to everyone, of course. And I don’t mean to be scare-tacticy here. If you don’t need deep soul healing, the above obviously doesn’t apply. But in this “post-pandemic” world, I’m not sure that I believe there is a person who doesn’t need some deep soul healing. This lunar event could really work for you, you just need to work for it.
As always, standard eclipse advice applies: eclipses occur on the nodes of fate – what happens in and around the dates of the eclipses should be weighed at least slightly more heavily than what happens during the rest of the year. If something suddenly enters or exits your life, pay attention and BELIEVE IT. This is our second to last eclipse cycle on the Aries-Libra axis and that puts a lot of strain on the dichotomy of selfness vs. togetherness. Stay aware of where you and your Others naturally fall on that scale. Retrograde Mercury is widely a part of this stellium (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Chiron, North Node) so try not to fight about it because there is no common ground to stand on right now.
If you’re traveling in the US to view the totality, stay safe out there and try not to travel on the interstate within 24 on either side of the event if you can. (and keep in mind retrograde Mercury rules travel so things may take longer than normal)
I wish I could say that we will get a reprieve but the consequences of whatever has just occurred are coming in hard on the back end with a rough Mars-Saturn conjunction at 14° Pisces on Wednesday 4/10. Saturn doesn’t mean to be nasty about it, but without lessons, you would never learn a thing. This will be a great cosmic pause. One of Saturn’s domains is time in the sense of limitation. As time passes, some choices become off-limits. Existence is fleeting.
Note whether that stokes fear or wonder (or both?) in your heart.
Situated in Pisces, the ruler of the 12th house, Saturn is working to reexamine some of our deepest-rooted trauma stories. The twelfth house rules the unconscious (where we store all of the things we don’t want to look at) and Pisces can sometimes be said to have accumulated all of the baggage of the signs that have come before it. This ties in with the pain point of Chiron in Aries which is getting triggered by all of our personal planets transiting over it.
The way to overcome some of Saturn’s inertia repeats the month’s themes: you’ve got to get into the shadowy bits of it and do that weeding. Saturn stops you so that you can dig into the ground and find the roots you have grown that are holding you back.
Cut them and grow new roots.
We won’t see another aspect for the rest of the week which is probably a good sign that we need to think about what we have done. (that doesn’t have to have a bad connotation)
There is a twisted-up knot that has something to do with the pain of aloneness that’s aching to come forth. A boil of some kind, even. On the week of 4/15, it comes to a head. The Sun has pulled away from Mercury, Chiron, and the Nodes but Venus has moved up to join them. In this way, that mid-Aries stellium stretches from 4/8 through to 4/19 as our personal planets apply stress and pressure to Chiron and the North Node. Or better said, Chiron and the North Node apply pressure to our personal planets.
Aloneness means a lot of different things to different people. An Aries type can think of nothing better, most Libras can think of nothing worse. That is the pressure we will be sitting under all month long. Aries and Libra are alike in many ways but, in this, they are divided. Errevocakly so. This will put a huge stressor on relationships between people with very different attachment needs and styles. I would expect some relationships to end permanently, especially those with one or more of the partners involved who have a personal planet Libra. Possibly Aries as well. I wouldn’t count out Cancer or Capricorn, either.
If it ends on the date of the eclipse, there’s no saving it. If it ends after that in the month, you may have a second or third chance. But what is happening right now has a reason. I think that is important to remember.
Spoken like a true Moon in Aries native: sometimes love ISN’T enough.
Sometimes you just need some space, yo.
it seems like everybody needs a healthy dose of empathy for their others but there is zero empathy to go around. Venus will be directly conjunct to the North Node AND Chiron this week – expect some theatrics. As I mentioned earlier, she’s in her Starlet form and let me tell you, she is not getting the attention she wants or deserves. Watch out. Venus certainly isn’t at her most vindictive in the sign of Aries, but she won’t think twice before slashing a few tires to get her point across.
The Sun enters Taurus on 4/19 which may be somewhat of a reprieve. It depends on how far you’ve pushed Venus though because she IS the natural ruler of Taurus, the Bull. Don’t wave any red flags for the rest of the month, okay?
Mars in Pisces sextiles Jupiter and Uranus in Taurus as well which is…interesting. Somebody could hit it big – Jupiter and Uranus form an exact conjunction on Sunday 4/21. If you need Chance to be on your side this month – on and around 4/19-4/21 are the days to choose. Watch out for overspending or overindulging during this time though, high reward tends to come with a lot of risks.
The Sun will be square to Pluto. Things are changing. If they are changing in your favor will depend on a lot of your perspective and your ability to duck and roll as the towers fall.
The rest of the month is a downward slope and as we shift out of eclipse season it may begin to feel quite pedestrian. It’s a much-needed break.
On Tuesday 4/23 we have a full moon at 04° Scorpio that may seem dark and dramatic, but it pales in comparison to the edgy eclipses. Just don’t actually tell Scorpios that I said they weren’t the best, okay? Stay aware of vindictive bitches, you know who I mean. Scorpio full moons can bring out the worst in people who are looking for somebody to blame. Mars, the ruler of our Scorpio moon is just barely still in Pisces, too. Expect it to be both heavy and wet. Maybe even a washout.
The rest of the month just rolls downhill as the energy finally begins to right itself. On 4/25, Mercury stations direct at 15° Aries. On 4/29, Mars enters his home sign of Aries. On 4/30, Venus enters her home sign of Taurus.
May will be a much easier month. We just need to get there.

astro notes: daily transits 7/30
Tuesday, 7/30, the astrological influences present to us this dynamic interplay between initiative, expansion, healing, and the potentiality of addressing emotional challenges. The day begins with the Gemini Moon conjunct Mars, promoting a burst of energy and new ideas, followed by a conjunction with Jupiter that encourages ambitious action. The heart-centered Venus-Chiron trine provides an opportunity for deep emotional healing, though the evening’s Moon-Saturn square may bring about feelings of isolation and melancholy.
Key Influences
Gemini Moon Conjunct Mars (2:00 a.m.): Initiative and Energy: This early morning conjunction between the Gemini Moon and Mars ignites a surge of mental energy and initiative. Mars brings action and drive, while the Gemini Moon enhances curiosity and communication, making it an excellent time for new ideas and planning.
Gemini Moon Conjunct Jupiter (3:44 p.m.): Expansion and Optimism: By mid-afternoon, the Moon’s conjunction with Jupiter amplifies our desire to expand and take risks. Jupiter’s influence brings optimism and enthusiasm, encouraging us to pursue ambitious plans, though it’s important to consider potential risks.
Venus Trine Chiron (23°31' Leo–Aries): Emotional Healing: The day’s main influence is the harmonious trine between Venus and Chiron. This aspect facilitates healing of emotional wounds, particularly those related to love and relationships. With Chiron recently stationed retrograde, the potential for deep inner healing is heightened, enabling us to address and mend past hurts.
Gemini Moon Square Saturn (11:41 p.m.): Emotional Challenges: Late at night, the square between the Gemini Moon and Saturn may bring about feelings of isolation, restriction, or emotional heaviness. Saturn’s influence can highlight our fears and insecurities, making it a challenging time emotionally.
Integrating The Influences
Morning Initiative: Channel Energy: Utilize the early morning surge of energy from the Moon-Mars conjunction to initiate new ideas and plans. This is a productive time for brainstorming, starting projects, and engaging in activities that require mental agility and action.
Afternoon Expansion: Seize Opportunities: The Moon-Jupiter conjunction encourages ambitious action and expansion. While optimism is high, it’s important to balance enthusiasm with a realistic assessment of risks. This is a favorable time for launching new ventures or pursuing goals with confidence.
Heart-Centered Healing: Embrace Vulnerability: The Venus-Chiron trine offers a powerful opportunity for emotional healing. Engage in activities that promote self-love and compassion. Reflect on past relationship wounds and consider ways to heal and grow from these experiences. This alignment supports transformative emotional work and can lead to profound insights and healing.
Evening Reflection: Acknowledge Feelings: The Moon-Saturn square in the evening may bring up feelings of loneliness or emotional heaviness. Use this time for introspection and self-care. Acknowledge any challenging emotions without judgment and consider practices that promote emotional resilience, such as meditation, journaling, or seeking support from loved ones.
Practical Applications
Morning Routine: Active Planning: Start the day with activities that channel the energy of the Moon-Mars conjunction. Engage in planning, problem-solving, or physical exercise to make the most of this dynamic influence.

These Four Zodiac Signs are Set to SHINE This Week
How are you feeling after that potent Summer Solstice and Capricorn Full Moon? Did you let go of something MAJOR or did something BIG catch your attention? If not, no worries—it happens. (Sometimes astrology hits hard, and other times, not so much.) Anyway, as we move past the Full Moon and the MAJOR shift of Cancer season, this final week of June kicks off with a little bit of evaluation, a dash of spice, and heaping serving of retrograde.
The week technically starts off sans astrology, giving you a few days to soak in the (BIG? MAJOR? Nonexistent?) shifts of the Solstice / Full Moon. Then, Wednesday arrives, and it’s a day for planning and plotting. There’s a sweet, sultry, and sorta spicy feel on Friday, which is good for spunky fun. Then, Saturday arrives and with it comes not one, not two, but FOUR transits. There’s a chance to heal a sore spot—if you're up for talking (or writing?) about it. But the real headline this week is astrology’s least-liked planet doing its most dreaded dance: Saturn Retrograde. On the same day, you might have an "ah-ha" moment from a seemingly meaningless conversation (maybe something about “dark” feminine since Lilith switches gears this day as well), but let’s be real—the topic of discussion all week long will most certainly be Saturn Retrograde.
Of course, that is the gist of this week. Here is the actual astrology:
June 26 – Mercury in Cancer trines Saturn in Pisces
June 28 – Venus in Cancer sextile Mars in Taurus,
June 29 – Mercury in Cancer square Chiron in Aries
June 29 – Saturn stations retrograde in Pisces
June 29 – Mercury in Cancer sextile Uranus in Taurus
June 29 – Lilith Enters Libra
