Siemens Velaro Novo High-Speed Train System Germany

Prime Minister Chris Hipkins and his team at Labor NZ are looking at Kiwirail buying Velaro Novo high speed EMU trains from German manufacturer, Siemens for the new "TranzCanterbury" suburban commuter rail service (nicknamed as the "Streamliner"), latter of Transdev Canterbury and Kiwirail Limited. The new service will connect the city of Christchurch to the wider areas of Canterbury and the upper South Island.

Workers at Metro Vancouver's HandyDART transit service are set to go on strike Sept. 3, according to their union. Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1724 said the work stoppage will begin at 5 a.m. PT after the majority of its membership rejected an offer earlier this week by Transdev, the contracted operator of HandyDART — a door-to-door shared transit service for people with permanent or temporary disabilities. The union said it represents about 600 HandyDART workers, including drivers, dispatchers, mechanics and schedulers who work in the Greater Vancouver area. Transdev and the union have been negotiating since last November. Key issues include staffing shortages, high worker turnover and higher wages, said Local 1724 president Joe McCann.

Whilst the majority of my fanfare was being focused on the Cuauhtémoc, I almost forgot about the Ovation of the Seas and the large amount of bus traffic this entails.

The lucky bus companies this time around were Howick and Eastern Buses (Transdev New Zealand) and Kiwi Coaches.

Pictured here is one of their most recent acquisitions. № 817 [Zhongtong LCK6112G] was new to Christchurch Bus Services Ltd as their №820. With their disastrous collapse bought on by questionable safety standards, it was sold to GoBus alongside the entire fleet.

Given that these Zhongtongs are not liked by commuters or drivers, it is not surprising that it was relegated quite quickly to schools and sold to New Zealand Coach Services in 2022.

It was sold to Kiwi Coaches, possibly at the beginning of this month, and has only now changed fleet numbers.

Brazil's rail sector private-public partnership to draw R$13bn in investments

São Paulo government to release tender in November; auction in late March

The São Paulo state government plans to release the tender for the PPP (Public-Private Partnership) of its railway company CPTM (Companhia Paulista de Trens Metropolitanos) Lines 11-Coral, 12-Safira, and 13-Jade, grouped under the Alto Tietê package, by the end of this month. According to people familiar with the matter, at least three groups are examining the project: CCR; a consortium of Comporte and the Chinese company CRRC; and a consortium comprising the French company Transdev, Perfin, and construction firms.

The concession involves R$13.3 billion in investments and R$22.8 billion in operating costs over the 25-year PPP. As is typical in mobility projects, the state will contribute part of the funding through a financial injection to support construction work and monthly payments.

The maximum state contribution is R$9.2 billion (70% of the investment volume), with compensation reaching up to R$1.49 billion annually—these figures could decrease depending on the competition. The auction will be awarded to the bidder proposing the highest discount on the monthly payments. If this discount reaches 100%, the company can suggest further reductions on the contribution. The auction is expected to be scheduled for late March.

Although the three CPTM lines are already operational, the new contract includes several expansions and renovations. One major extension is for Line 13, which currently reaches Guarulhos Airport and will extend to the Bonsucesso neighborhood in Guarulhos. On the other end of the line in the eastern part of the capital, an extension with at least two more stations is planned—potentially adding six more stations up to the Mooca neighborhood. However, this is not included in the initial mandatory investments. The project also includes an express line from the city center to the airport.

Hey, y'all it's been a while...yet again :)

So the last major event that has been going on I ended up losing my Job with Transdev/Waymo. Yes, I was very sad but more important worries. Living in the Bay Area is expensive (if you do not have a degree or anything) as of now I'm priced out. I know that the guy that I was with said to claim down everything is going to be okay. *rolling my eyes* yeah sure okay that's what all you ppl say to your pathetic attempt to make me feel better. Words don't make me feel better about anything action does!

Well, I'm so lucky to have the guy that I do know. I've been with him for over a year now. I met him at Protera. I've been shy to tell anybody. This is the 1st time any of my relationships had lasted this long. He did a lot for me. Be bought me a car. It's a 2010 Xterra. Now, now all I need is a second job to pay him back. Well, guess what he did for me. He got me in contact with a recruiter for Cruise and I ended up getting the job there paying 35hr.

By all means, he is no angle. We had our ups and downs. But some downs are not worth getting rid of all the ups. OMG does mean that dare I say... Adulting? Maturing? ewwww! Im so getting old. I'm even getting excited over kitchen appliances. Now, that's old! I'm over the hill now.
