How To Deal With A Very Bad Indoor Playground
This is a question that I get asked very frequently when I tell folks that I own a drama café. "Is that like an indoor play gym with both slides and rock climbing structures and trampolines?" I guess that's what happens if you introduce a totally new idea to your town. Indoor playgrounds have existed for a little while, and there are many of them in our city of Burlington and neighbouring cities of Oakville and Hamilton. They're the places that you take your kids to when they wish to burn off their energy if it's too cold out to go to the playground, or whenever you don't need them to tear your house apart. They are the places where your kids can run around through mazes, climb ropes, and slide down slides and let out all the crazy! It was actually at an indoor playground that the notion of Chickadee Family Cafe was born in my mind. I had taken my afterward two-and-a-half year old into a popular indoor play space in our hometown Burlington and tried to keep him up as he raced down slides and throughout mazes. I crouched into miniature corners chasing my little man around and came out completely exhausted (go ahead, insert jokes about just how out of shape I'm here). When I emerged from the play arrangements, I looked around me at the other parents. Many were standing around trying to maintain a visual on their own kids' whereabouts. Some were calling their kids' titles, trusting that they weren't stuck in a maze...'cause c'mon, most of us know no adult wants to have to climb all of the way up those arrangements to regain a crying child. Mostly, they looked exhausted and tired. Perhaps their children awakened at 6am too. I had fun with my son, which was the major aim of visiting the indoor playground sale playground, but at a place full of other moms and dads around my age with kids around my son's age, there was a massive chance for building connection with my community that I felt was completely overlooked. However, the atmosphere didn't really lend itself to using a real conversation. I began to research what was out there for a few quality mother -- son time which didn't need me to crawl on my hands and knees and squeeze my butt through a tunnel match for a toddler. I discovered play cafes. Play cafes are relatively new to Canada, but are around the UK, Australia and the US for several years. A play café blends the requirements of both parents and children, fueling parents with carbonated drinks while providing ample play space for kids to explore and have fun. Play cafes accept the community-focused way of a café and include a play area for children. In Chickadee Family Caféwe provide that coffee shop atmosphere that you're utilized to sipping your latte in as well as a fun child-friendly environment full of toys and imaginative based drama activities. Once the play area is closed along with the kiddos are in bed, our space can easily transform into an evening assembly space for parent workshops, a couples' date night or a meeting location for mompreneurs. While most indoor playgrounds either do not provide meals or function up fast food choices or vending machine snacks, a drama café is a full-service café with espresso based beverages and a hearty menu of healthy snacks and lunch items. A drama café is a bridge between an early years' centre and your local trendy café. Most play cafes provide child and parent classes and parenting supports through workshops and support groups, many things you can anticipate at Chickadee Family Café. I hope that helped to clarify the gap between an indoor playground and a play café.

Fun facts about trampoline that nobody told you
In the market for a new one? What do you know of Trampolines? Maybe you had one as a kid or played on one at an outdoor party. While some people stop using Trampolines simply because they grow up, kids still have fun.
Tumbling, bouncing and flipping around like a circus acrobat is such fun. Well, not always. Trampolining can be great fun but should only be done under safe conditions. There are rules and regulations regarding trampolines, and safety should always be considered when making decisions about operating a trampoline.
There are many types of trampolines, but the best one is a Trampoline from Kahuna. Australian kids have a love affair with trampolines, and you probably did too when you were a child.
· Did you know that a lot of children in Australia have a trampoline at their disposal? In fact, there are more than 1 million trampolines in Australian backyards! There is nothing quite like the exhilarating feeling on a Friday night when you jump on your trampoline next to the neighbours on their trampoline.
· Trampolines are arguably one of the most popular innovations in the last 50 years. They have been sold to over 30 million homes worldwide and represent one of the highest-selling pieces of sporting equipment. In fact, most people feel that a trampoline is a necessity rather than an option for those with children.
· George Nissen invented the first trampoline in 1936. He was an American physical education instructor who wanted to give his students the ability to practice their acrobatics safely at home, away from the high-risk environment of the gymnasium.
· NASA once used trampolining to train astronauts. Bouncing on a trampoline helps them get used to the constant bouncing on zero-gravity space flights.
· The largest trampoline in the world is in North Wales. Named Bounce Below, the bouncing surface is underground, and it is said to accommodate 100 bouncers comfortably. It is rumoured to have a vertical leap of 80 ft.
At Kahuna, we love trampolines. If you are looking for the best value, highest quality Trampolines, then Kahuna Trampolines Australia is the right place for you.
