San Francisco's historic streetcars pull out from the barn at Balboa Park via the J-Church line, usually picking up passengers along the way. We knew when the boat tram was pulling out and caught it along the way, wearing sailor hats.

Another in the series of photos celebrating last year's trips to some favorite spots. Here are some photos of the many that I took, along with many videos, of my trip up to the top of San Jacinto Mountain in Palm Springs. Loved every minute of it. The aerial tram is the largest rotating tram in the world. It rotates constantly throughout the trip and is supposed to hold up to 80 passengers. Thankfully there weren't that many on my trip. 12 and a half minutes up the mountain. Getting there first thing in the morning is key to a much less crowded trip. Amazing views all the way up and down the mountain. If you missed something on the way up, you can catch it on the way down.

While at the top I hiked for a bit and wasn't out of breath at that altitude. Some people were though. And it was cold but not brutally cold. At least not during the sunny day I was up there.
