FAMILIE GORDON of Birmingham, Alabama
For the purposes of the socmed, which has spawned lore in my horrible little rat mind
Obviously none of this is relevant or real, but this is just for reference when they come up in the socmed au. I also might change my mind on half this shit. never let em know your next move
oldest to youngest: Marcus, Jeremy, Tabitha, Ricky, Seth, Jessie, Michael, Jamie, Scotty
EC canon says 7 boys and Jeremy as second oldest who was basically in charge after Bryan Sr. left and Rebecca (mother) gave up when Seth was 8 and started going by Seth (Bryan Seth Gordon officially). Seth was 22 at the start of tfc i believe so the ages are going from there
Marcus (33) was born when Rebecca was still in high school so he’s a bit older than the others and had moved out, which is why Jeremy ended up raising the rest of them. Also because Marcus lowkey sucks. He means well and gets involved for big stuff but is generally just a bit unpleasant and directionless. He offers Seth his first joint at 11 years old and it doesn’t occur to him that maybe don’t do that
Jeremy (29) was the only one to leave Alabama. When Bryan Sr. left and Rebecca checked out, Jeremy ended up pretty much raising the rest of his siblings. Marcus didn’t, but the unofficial deal was that Marcus would deal with Rebecca- her stumbling in as the sun came up, her missed bills, her drunken vitriol about Bryan. This arrangement went on for years, and when Jeremy was confident they could take care of themselves, he packed his shit into the car and didn’t look back. He drove to Atlanta and stayed in Georgia, where he now lives with his fiancée May and his dog Pedro, and he’s training to be a pilot. He stays in contact with some of his siblings, mostly the older few, but those years took a huge toll on him in a way he never really processed. he feels guilty for how he handled it and how order just came from beating the shit out of each other, he feels angry for having been put in that position, angry for the childhood that ended so abruptly, angry at every adult who stood by. He doesn’t talk much to Marcus and he never speaks to their mother again, but he does come to Seth’s final college exy game and his graduation.
Tabitha (27) looks just like her mother and inherited her horrendous taste in men. She goes by Tabby if she’s in a good mood, which is rarely but you don’t find that out until she’s backhanded you for calling her Tabby. Having also taken on a decent amount of responsibility when their parents gave up, Tabitha never really got the time or energy to grapple with teenage self-loathing so it followed her and manifested in a string of men who treat her like shit, more than one of them violent. She stayed in Birmingham because she’s more attached to her family than she’d like to admit, and because she’d become a bit obsessive around Jessie. As the only two girls, their relationship with each other was a bit different to the others and for someone who comes off as cold as Tabitha can, it seemed suffocating to Jessie. Tabitha did genuinely mean well and was trying to stop Jessie from making the choices she did, but ended up alienating her by coming off controlling or cruel. Like Seth, Tabitha has a bit of a history with harder drugs, but she’s less willing to name it or the grip that addiction had on her and writes it off as phases with boyfriends.
Ricky (24) is Seth’s closest brother and greatest tormentor- all in good fun, but he has also locked Seth in the trunk and done doughnuts in his car before. Ricky wanted to be a race car driver and ended up working at an auto body shop and loves it. it’s not entirely above board but he gets to throw tyres around and sometimes drive the cars really fast down dirt roads so what the hell else does he want. He got Seth a job there in high school (didn’t last) and everyone there has been there forever so it’ll probably be his someday. he has an on-and-off girlfriend called Rita but she’s a bit too into oxys for it to work. he tries to cut it off with her for good after seth’s first overdose but ultimately it’s just endemic and so many people in his life are on drugs that it barely makes a difference and he stays with her
Seth (22) is closest to Ricky and Jessie just because of ages and he’s the only one to have gone to college so they all think he’s gay (idk if the american south has this as well but the meth division of my family all think im gay because i went to uni. thats not why) and half of them just call him college or treat him as wikipedia, which aaron finds out one day and has to physically school his reaction. Seth is teaching him how to make a bong out of an egg when Jamie calls and asks Seth what language they speak in Indonesia and when to know if you need to amputate your foot if it’s been stuck inbetween trees for six hours
Jessie (21) is probably chained to a tree somewhere in South America. Jessie was the one who taught Seth (and the others) Sylvia Plath, mostly through brute force, because she thought the bell jar was important reading. She wasn’t the smartest student, but she’d engage hard with the work that she did do, hence getting very into poetry, feminist theory, climate science, canadian history, and cajun cooking, and making it all everyone’s problem - if Jessie has an interest you are Going to hear about it and you are Going to care. or your ass is getting beat. climate science was the one that really stuck, and Jessie joined some environmental groups, initially largely for the freely shared weed but the cause is important to her, something about being able to save something or preserve it. She’s the one that found Seth after his first overdose and she threw out every drug in the house as well as Jamie’s vape, which earned her a broken wrist from being thrown at the wall by a teenage boy who doesn’t realise his strength but would probably have done it even if he knew that would happen. Jessie is the only one to speak plainly to Seth about his addiction, and she’s the one that convinces him to accept Wymack’s offer. Matt is terrified of her.
Michael (19) and Jamie are twins (non-identical so what’s the point of all that nonsense really) but Michael is the quieter of the two. this isn’t to say he isn’t still a primary actor in any gordon sibling shenanigans, it just means he’ll sit thoughtfully in the corner while the others debate whether a chainsaw or punching is the quickest way to take down the fence before he gets up and drives the big sit on lawnmower right at and through the fence. Michael is very bright in a way that’s overlooked by his teachers because he isn’t particularly enthusiastic, but he would like to study more if he got the chance. Seth used to make Michael and Jamie be defenders if he was practicing exy out the back of the house, but this just meant giving them motorbike helmets and diy body armour (bbq lid duct taped to chest) and running at them full force. Michael would just kind of let this happen because he knew Seth would beat him in a fight if he said no, but resisted enough that Seth realised a bribe would be necessary if he wanted Michael to actually participate, so brought him books (as recommended by the elderly local librarian Seth had been flirting relentlessly with)
Jamie (19) would be easy to write off as a moron, but it’s actually just that he genuinely enjoys a lot of stupid shit. makeshift exy was his favourite- he didn’t know or care what a backliner was but he got to chase Seth with a stick and slam him to the ground. he went through a bit of a skater boy twat phase (think like a young carl gallagher with a vaping problem and a skateboard) where he mostly just hung out with dickheads that only really ended when a girl in his class was so unbelievably vicious to him about it (justifiably) that he changed his ways and also decided he was in love with her. it will never work because his idea of a fun date would be tasering each other in a car park then shooting fireworks at each other and hers is. well not that
Scotty (16) also responds to ‘cuck boy’: having eight older siblings who have all heard the song “Scotty doesn’t know” is basically a death sentence RIP Scotty. Scotty is so much younger than the rest of them that he’s kind of living in a whole different genre- Seth is on his whole college sports underdog thing and wrestling with addiction, Jeremy coming to terms with parentification and quietly looking into CPTSD, Tabitha in her limbo of trauma, Jessie determined to save the world because she can’t save anything in front of her, Ricky in the fast and furious franchise driving fast enough that he never has to think too hard about why he needs the adrenaline, while Scotty likes science but wants to be a musician and is finding this to be the primary source of inner conflict in his life. He’s a sweet kid who barely knows Rebecca and drags Ricky to most of his parent-teacher conferences (his teachers, horrified, try to end it quickly, having survived him and come to consensus that Ricky Gordon was the worst student they’ve ever had. Scotty knew that and it’s why he chose Ricky), and hands out flyers and demo CDs for his band around the city centre.
I’ve also decided in the socmed au that Seth didn’t die but that overdose did still happen and he was hospitalised and in and out of a coma for the rest of the season, and given that his contract with PSU was five years on the team, he’s redoing his senior year.

HOW TO BECOME A FIGHTER PILOT
So as you may or may not know, I am writing a fanfic. Unfortunately for me, I can never do things half way, and because aviation is my passion I must do hours of research on a particular subject that I probably won't even use or reference in said fanfic. Here is a guide for how our favorite characters (probably) became fighter pilots. If there are inaccuracies let me know, I want to know :)
United States Naval Academy
The USNA is an undergraduate college that is a combination of academics and military development programs. Students who want to go into Flight School could qualify with one of a variety of different majors, but there are particular majors that obviously may provide a bit of an advantage to aspiring pilots. The USNA currently offers a variety of different majors and minors, though there are fewer than you might expect from a typical university, and overall the degrees are more tailored towards the Navy. They encourage participation in athletics in the form of a Varsity or club/intramural sport(1).
NOTE: Maverick likely attended a regular college and was a part of the Naval ROTC program at that school. He would have gotten his degree in a field relevant to aviation, likely Mechanical Engineering given his mechanical aptitude seen in Top Gun Maverick, and then attended the 13-week program called Officer Candidate School. To be honest, Maverick’s path within the Navy is a mess and impossible to follow but in the most straightforward scenario, he would go to flight school following Officer Candidate School.
Flight School
Flight School is an approximately 2-year-long program that is required for Naval Aviators to earn their wings. Primarily located at the “Cradle of Naval Aviation” aka Pensacola, FL, flight school consists of many different phases that will divide students into different specializations.
1. Naval Introductory Flight Evaluation (NIFE)
Divided into four phases, NIFE is a program that evaluates students’ aeronautical aptitude as well as screens them to ensure they’re capable of becoming aviators. Students may earn a “pink sheet” for any score below 80% or a failure of a task, requiring them to stand before a panel of instructors to explain why they failed and how they plan to improve. Too many pink sheets result in removal from the program(2).
1a. Water Survival Training Following medical clearance, students are taught and tested on their ability to swim while wearing flight gear as well as formerly instructed on various survival techniques and CPR(2).
1b. Academics A 3-week phase where students take classes and exams in five subjects. It is condensed to test a student’s ability to retain information, learn new information in a high-stress environment, and challenge their self-discipline in regard to time management and other areas(2).
1c. Introductory Flight Screening (IFS) Students are entered into a 2-week-long modified civilian flight training program where one week is dedicated to ground school courses before they must conduct a series of flights in a Cessna using Navy flight procedures during the second week. Students had to memorize and prioritize information to complete the flights, specifically in regard to conducting pre-flight briefings and emergency procedures. Overall, they’ll conduct seven flights in which they are required to complete a set of standardized maneuvers(2).
1d. Aviation Physiology A week-long training course that consists of emergency-specific training evolutions such as the hypoxia chamber, emergency first aid, and the “helo dunker.” The “helo dunker” (from what I understand) is a particular training device that consists of strapping a pilot into a cockpit-like or helicopter contraption within a pool and submerging the entire structure under the water, simulating an environment in which their aircraft has landed in the water and they need to escape from the seat(3). An image of this can be seen below(2).
The Top Gun cast had to undergo a similar training course in order to be allowed to fly in military airplanes for filming. A video of some of their training can be viewed below.
youtube
2b. Aviation Pre-Flight Indoctrination
A 6-week long program that marks the beginning of the aviation pipeline. Located in Pensacola, FL, students attend classes covering the basics of aerodynamics, weather in relation to aviation, air navigation, flight rules and regulations, and aircraft engines and systems (3).
Prior to API, those interested in becoming Radar Intercept Officers (RIO) will have expressed their interest and requested a designation as a Naval Flight Officer (NFO).
2c. Primary Flight Training
A 6-month-long program that teaches the students the basics of flying. There are two locations for Primary, one at Training Air Wing 5 at Naval Air Station Whiting Field in Pensacola, FL, or Training Air Wing 4 at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi in Corpus Christi, TX. Both Naval Air Stations (NAS) are taught the same curriculum and fly the same aircraft, the T-6 Texan II. The students learn about the instruments, flight basics, radio instrument navigation, formation flying, and aerobatics, and also conduct several solo flights. At the end of Primary, students choose which pipeline they would like. This is conducted depending on the needs of the Navy and how many spots are available(3).
Obviously, Iceman, Slider, Goose, Cougar, and everyone else got Jets, though they may not have gone through flight school at the same time.
2d. Intermediate Flight Training
Intermediate Flight Training is a 27-week program. Split into five platforms; Jet, E2/C2, Helicopter, Maritime, and E-6 TACAMO. The jet platform flight training focuses more on navigation, air traffic control, individual skills, and cooperative skills of flying jets. The intermediate flight training program for jets is located at Meridian, MS (Training Air Wing One) at either VT-7 or VT-9, and Kingsville, TX (Training Air Wing Two) at either VT-21 or VT-22, both of which teach the same curriculum. Students in the jet platform will complete 58 graded flights in the T-45C Goshawk jet trainer aircraft(3).
2e. Advanced Flight Training
Similar to Intermediate Flight Training, the program is split into five platforms but lasts 23 weeks. The students will probably have stayed with the same training squadron throughout the intermediate and advanced flight training. This stage includes learning skills specific to the chosen platform. The Advanced Flight Training program for jets is what’s called the Strike Syllabus. The Strike Syllabus includes an additional 67 graded flights in the T-45 covering air combat maneuvers, low-level navigation, tactical formation flying, and aircraft carrier qualifications. Students will then graduate from Advanced Flight Training with the Wings of Gold(3).
3. Squadron Selection
The final selection process assigns naval aviators to a particular squadron based on the needs of the service. Naval Aviators are assigned to a fleet replacement squadron or other similar training assignments for further training on their specific aircraft type. Here, RIOs and pilots must become qualified by gaining the required flight hours and meeting the proficiency standards necessary.
NOTE: It’s kind of hard to figure out when exactly the RIO training occurs. I know it takes place over the course of all the primary through advanced training occurs as well but I’m not sure if they have to attend seperate courses for it.
TOPGUN
From there, pilots and RIOs may have been moved to their first official squadron for deployment. They would have been in their first squadron for approximately one and a half years, deploying with them. Their squadron would come back from a deployment and during the stand-down time before their next deployment, their commanding officer would select them to go to TOPGUN.

Hii~ i saw that you accept requests :) may i request Enhypen reaction to their SO having ADHD.
Thank you ✨
Enhypen's reaction to their s/o having ADHD.
Warnings: ADHD. Mood swings.
Authors note: I love writing enhypen with significant others that struggle with adhd and insomnia, anxiety and things like that. So I love these kind of requests.
Heeseung

He is so unbothered. Yes he noticed. No he does not call you out, just accepts it and moves on.
He's so patient with you.
If you're still in school and he notices that you keep pushing away a subject or an assignment until the very last minute. He will sit with you and make it engaging for you. Keep you company because he knows he helps.
In fact, he adores that when you tell a story, there's like 20 different novels included before you eventually go back to what you were originally saying.
He reassures you in whatever way he can
If he notices you going Into overdrive he's going to help you, make it easier for you to get grounded again.
After you started dating he got used to you constantly fidgeting, more than not he just watches you with a smile.
Jay

Okay so he has a conversation with you about it.
What can be overwhelming for you. Your triggers. How he can help when your adhd just goes off the wall.
Makes mental notes.
He knows you've had a bad day when your emotions are everywhere. Not in a bad way either. He just knows you must be drained.
He will ask what triggered in, in the most gentle way possible.
But the first time he watched you hyperfocus on the marvel movies.
He couldn't help but smile fondly as you rambled on about Iron man lore. Half of it didn't make sense, but he was sure you would fix any of his confusion before you finish your tangent.
Jake

Trust he will keep up with you. Or try to, at least.
Honestly he didn't notice until one day you guys were in a crowded place and you just... shut down.
It was like you were in auto pilot. It made him think that you had gotten hurt or something.
But he didn't push you instead he just took you to someplace quiet and waited for you to come back before asking you.
He's used to jungwon and sunoo so your random noises just pass through one ear to the next.
Background noise to him.
But when he hears them he smiles, even if he doesn't realize what he is doing.
When it's just you two. He does not try to keep you focused on one thing (unless you want to) He is just along for the ride.
Sunghoon

I'm not gonna lie. Manz has a hard time keeping up with you.
He loves you. He loves you so much.
But he has a hard time keeping up with your train of thought, mainly because it's always going in 12 different directions.
So he always looks a bit confused at the sudden topic changes but don't worry. He's smiling the whole time.
Tries to make sure you don't get overwhelmed.
Really doesn't want you with him at the airport because he knows that the crowd of Engene would trigger you
He's trying his hardest.
Sunoo

Trust he's gonna be able to keep up with your train of thought.
Or at least semi follow it.
Because he knows /you/
You guys were friends long before you started dating so he doesn't really see your adhd per say, just things about you.
It's your personality.
You never really told him and you didn't have to.
He would always be there to help you before you could even say what's wrong.
Forgot where you put your keys? They are already in his hand. Can't remember where your phone is? He's calling it for you. You don't feel like doing a project? He's gonna do it with you.
Jungwon

He's going with it pt.1
Literally nothing could phase him. He's always surrounded by the other members and they are all just as hyper as you, the only thing that's different Is that your hyper can get distracted.
Leaves random things around your apartment to help you keep your train of thought when he's not there.
Helps you finish tasks that you don't really have the motivation to do.
Small notes here and there. Reminders.
Reminders about anything and everything. He puts them where he knows you'll see them.
Niki

He can keep up with you pt 2.
He pays attention to you, he knows what makes you tick and what triggers you.
Before you could even process you're in a triggering situation, he's pulling you away.
If your mood swings are bad, don't worry. They won't phase him. And if somthing bothers him he will have that conversation with you.
Communication.
Reminds you to take your medicine. (If you take any)
Could listen to your hyperfixation rants all day.

Three facts about each member of Everyone Leaves Alive
The bassist Listens to a lot of nonfiction podcasts, is especially into the body politics of Maintenance Phase. Left-handed but struggled through learning to play the bass right-handed on the theory it would be easier than expecting anyone else to make accommodations. Tries not to see this as a metaphor for anything. Due to an overzealous train safety demonstration, has a creeping fear of crossing train tracks.
The drummer It’s not unmedicated ADHD if you self-medicate with tremendous amounts of gas station coffee *taps temple* Played snare drum in high school marching band; somewhere videos exist but just try to find them. Most embarrassing moment: yelling “Hello Michigan!” to a rare sold-out crowd (in Ohio).
The rhythm guitarist Doesn’t listen to rock music at all. Prefers rap or country. Had a gender epiphany that involves Dolly Parton and Johnny Cash. Can frequently be found hanging out on the roof of the band’s van, meditating, with giant headphones on.
The lead guitarist Recently graduated with a degree in folklore, and a soon-to-be-disproven belief that this is a useless major. A tremendously talented guitarist, can also play the bass quite well. Has never been in a band before and is absolutely amped about it.
For more about Everyone Leaves Alive, check out our Kickstarter page; we are currently crowdfunding our pilot!

Tuskegee Airman Lieutenant Alton A. Burton (November 25, 1925 – November 1, 2018) was a Tuskegee Airman. He was born in Manhattan. His mother, Winifred (McKinley) Burton, and father, Alfred Moses Burton were both from Jamaica.
After graduation from Sayville High School, WWII broke out. He was hired by Republic Aviation and trained as a blueprint layout worker.
In 1942 he volunteered for the Army Air Corps. His love for airplanes soon prompted him to transfer to Tuskegee for flight training. He was trained as a bombardier navigator, for which he received his officer commission and was assigned to a B-25 bomber crew. He was reassigned to the Tuskegee Flight School and trained and received his pilot wings for the P-47 Thunderbolt.
He distinguished himself during WWII as a member of the famed Tuskegee Airmen, earning three awards.
He returned to New York City before heading to SUNY Plattsburg, where he took pre-engineering courses. He married Dr. Vashti Curlin (1949) they had one son. He attended the University of Michigan’s engineering school and received his BS in Civil Engineering. He earned his MS at NYU and then his Professional Engineering license from the State of New York.
He was first hired by an engineering leasing firm that assigned him to work for the Port Authority of New York, and soon after he was employed there. His first assignment was in the Marine Terminal Department, which constructed shipping piers along the Hudson River waterfront in Brooklyn and New Jersey.
In June 1965 he was featured in a four-page article in Sepia Magazine, as the master planner of the civil engineering phase of the multi-billion dollar World Trade Center. #africanhistory365 #africanexcellence

The CIA wanted to bring back the A-12 in 1972 to accelerate Sorties over the North Vietnam war coexisting with the SR 71. Existing weapons systems (EWS) A-12 would be required. Why did the CIA want to bring their oxcart A-12 out of mothballs? Perhaps it was because they wanted the end of the Vietnam War to come as soon as possible. Did this actually happen? I don’t think so . However, the CIA would never make it public. I found this article while researching declassified papers. The declassification was in 2007. I think it’s fascinating. I hope you do, too.~ Linda Sheffield
14 June 1972
Operational Considerations - Revival of OXCART
The following operational considerations are presented to assist you in preparing your memorandum to DDI on the subject of regeneration of the OXCART vehicle: a minimum of two aircraft and three pilots would be required with the potential for back to back or simultaneous missions. The aircraft is to be fully equipped with operational EWS. Existing weapon system
REQUIREMENT:
There is sufficient interest within CIA to warrant exploring the feasibility, cost and timing associated with regenerating an operational OXCART weapons system to be operated by a field unit under direction
of OSA. This regeneration to be accomplished so as to put an operational vehicle over a North Vietnam target in the shortest possible time.
BACKGROUND:
When the OXCART vehicles and program were put to bed in 1968
a complete "regeneration" package was placed in storage as well. This package contained operating procedures, mission directives, checklists, names of qualified personnel, etc. It did, in fact, contain all possible information which might be needed for program revival. It was
generally agreed that program regeneration in the first 6 months to a year could be fairly easy and rapid - after that time frame, recapture would become increasingly expensive, time consuming and difficult personnel wise. The OXCART aircraft and equipment went into storage in the June to September 1968 time frame on a 5/90 basis, i.e.,
ASSUMPTIONS:
A. Project would receive number one priority in personnel, funding and equipment.
B. Existing weapons system as put away could be brought out and would be useable, operationally capable. E . g . , no new EWS would be put in the aircraft.
C. Vulnerability assessment remains the same as when put
away.
D. That SR- 71 personal equipment and survival gear are compatible with OXCART airframe. This due to the OXCART seat being unsatisfactory and OXCART pressure suits no longer available.
That all types of qualified personnel are readily available, could be pitched and brought on board in minimum time with little or no security problems.
OPERATIONAL CONCEPT - TRAINING PHASE:
To provide a desirable level of operational capability, at least
two aircraft should be removed from storage and put into flying condition. Obviously, the more aircraft available, the higher the probability of achieving mission goals becomes.
Pilots could be drawn from the SR 71 program or former A-12 pilots could be recalled. In either case, the initial training phase would consist of extensive ground school on aircraft systems and
operating characteristics.
Four pilots should be selected initially for the two aircraft concept. The time required in this phase would be shorter if current SR-71 pilots were used because of the similarities
in basic aircraft systems and the fact that these pilots have the required personal equipment and high altitude physiological training.

Custom Toonami Block Week 179 Rundown
The Witch from Mercury: Suletta’s mom is talking with Elan’s handler and I still have no idea how they can have Elan shouting about how he’s cursed to pilot a Gundam and burning his soul apart and all that shit and not have the school recognize it when Suletta does one Senbonzakura and they crack down on her without any other proof. Turns out Suletta and Elan are gonna have a Space Duel which is conveniently beneficial for him with more speed and range and Suletta has to piece together a space engine from a bunch of parts the House happens to buy lying around. Meanwhile Guel’s in trouble for going out and getting his brother’s suit wrecked last time so he’s kicked out of Fancy House and is the Black Coat Chazz Princeton phase of his character arc where the rich asshole learns empathy by ceasing to be rich. We learn Elan isn’t Elan but one of several people that have been forced to wear Elan’s face and be enhanced to be good at piloting presumably because the real Elan is shit at it and they can’t risk their CEO heir dying or worse being bad at something, but the real Elan plays no other part in this episode so I’m gonna continue to call this guy Elan because going by his designation number seems counter-productive for the message of the episode. Anyway Elan’s basically slowly dying because of the whole soul-burning thing and/or his enhancements so it’s kinda like a Rei situation where they just swap out a new one whenever one of them dies of this shit or is lucky enough to serve their term which Elan needs one more fight to do and they’ve done this FOUR TIMES, like four separate people have either died or been permanently crippled to keep up homeboy’s image that he’s good at mobile suits. Suletta breaks into Elan’s dorm and sings him Happy Birthday over the PA in a weird callback to what her father did in the first episode and this just kinda pisses him off more. The fight starts and Suletta says if she wins she wants to learn all about Elan and immediately they’re off into deep space. The first part of the fight kinda goes how I expected it to since even with Elan’s stunguns, if one part gets hit the others can protect it until it comes back online. She basically plays a good defense and turns into an enhanced speed mode to catch up to him and eventually does some weird kind of counter-EMP thing that forces Elan into a flashback that reminds me of the NewType stuff from the main series and I hope that’s not where this is going cause none of that shit ever made sense to me. But yeah, after all the shouting about how he’s an empty vessel and how Suletta gets all the cool powers with none of the angst and a full slice of life series, Elan realizes he has like 1% of a backstory somewhere in there and that’s enough for him. The next part is REALLY hard because right when we get to the ‘oh they’re all friends now’ part of the slice of life show that always happens after a big fight… Elan fucking dies. Like he agrees to go out to meet Suletta and Mio so they can hang out and do shit but the House has decided since he didn’t win and get them Miorinne and his health broke down faster than they thought during the fight that they’re just gonna kill him and go with the next Elan doppelganger. The part that really gets me about this is that Elan presumably told them when he was going to meet them and it was right when he was scheduled to be executed and to me that means that he knew he was going to die and wanted someone to be thinking about him in his last moments and… god that’s hard, dude got one scrap of a backstory and immediately died taking solace in the fact that someone was thinking of him.
Inuyasha The Final Act: So in the most convenient “Someone wants to train a technique and the guy to teach them how just kinda shows up” in a series full of those, Shishinki comes up to Sesshomaru now that he’s semi-mastered the Meidou Zangetsuha. Turns out Sesshomaru’s Meidou is huge but not full, as everyone who passed high school geometry knows the circle is the strongest shape so Shishinki’s small full circles put Sesshomaru’s huge 90% circles to shame. Shishinki’s pissed because Sesshomaru’s dad did the shonen protagonist thing and stole the Meidou Zangetsuha right from under him and used it to almost kill him. It’s said in Yashahime that the combined fatigue from Shishinki and Ryokutsei fights is what finally did Inuyasha’s dad in but also like… Ryokutsei was sealed away, has Shishinki just been hanging out for the past 100ish years until Sesshomaru got good enough with Meidou to be worth coming after? Like usually there’s some handwave about why the bad guys haven’t been around but apparently Shishinki’s just been jerkin off for a century and not caring about Naraku rending the countryside asunder despite the Meidou being the perfect counter to him and Shishinki probably easily being capable of beating pre-Hakurei Naraku. Anyway Shishinki tells Sesshomaru that Tessaiga and Tenseiga used to be the same sword but if Tessaiga kept the Meidou Zangetsuha then Inuyasha would just like die because Meidou’s too strong for him, like what happened with Dragon Scale but worse. Now there’s some mental gymnastics here because this revelation gets a lot of gears turning in several peoples’ heads at once and it’s a little hard to follow. Sesshomaru realizes the Meidou is a strong technique and he’s the only one capable of utilizing it fully but at the same time, breaking the sword into two isn’t anyone’s first instinct so while it seems like it was a good faith gesture so both his kids would have something, it immediately strikes Sesshomaru as suspicious. Eventually the real reason becomes clear to Sesshomaru but is hidden from the audience as he unleashes a full Meidou after Tenseiga resonates with Tessaiga that envelopes Shishinki. Shishinki figures it out too and laughs that Sesshomaru’s father played a cruel joke on him and yeah it’s kinda fucked up. Inuyasha’s just like ‘okay you got your own cool sword now, stop giving me shit and let’s just be awkward vaguely angry siblings’ and Sesshomaru refuses and resigns himself to always being Inuyasha’s enemy since he now knows Tenseiga can’t be complete without Tessaiga, only one of them was meant to have their father’s weapon.
Castlevania: It’s a new season and it’s time to catch up with how everyone’s doing after a small one month timeskip. No word from Isaac but I assume he’s doing well lynching racists and assembling an army of zombie racists. Alucard is slowly going insane from solitary confinement and is kind of ridiculously attached to the two people he knew for like a week a month ago but given he’s presumably been stuck in Castlevania most of his life and he’s literally just murdered his last living relative by his own hand it’s understandable he’s clinging to whatever little connection he has left and kinda just losing it. Carmilla returns home to the Girl Squad™ and these always feel kinda forced like there’s just a squad of all girls for the sake of it because they specifically hate men and have some vague form of solidarity given their Lifetime Original Movie style backstories, but at least her sisters’ personalities seem to be somewhat more abrasive than her own and like I said last time, Carmilla will probably be a more interesting main antagonist than secondary one considering she’s now a united front instead of playing politics and actively ruining Dracula’s chances for victory. Also Hector’s still around, like idk maybe I’m more of a petty person and less than attached to my own life but if some bitch was like “I’m going to treat you horribly but I also desperately need you to stay alive” the perfect method of revenge seems pretty obvious, like he has some leverage he’s just too much of a bitch to even try using. Meanwhile Sypha and Trevor make absolutely no bones about them basically being married now and explicitly saying they’re fucking, I appreciate them laying out the terms of the relationship clearly for the audience like that’s a nice thing they’re not pussyfooting around it. They kill some monsters and make their way into town dragging one of its corpses as a trophy and they just barely scraped by having a huge problem because apparently the local church are like the one holy institution that were Dracula sympathizers and they don’t like the monsters either but they aren’t gonna be happy when they inevitably figure out they’re talking to two thirds of the squad that killed him, I mean technically Alucard killed him but Sypha still blocked his Noble Phantasm and Trevor cracked his sternum or some shit. So yeah, good setup everyone’s back at their new homes and ready to start cleaning up the messes of the remaining plot.
Jujutsu Kaisen: It’s the finale of the Shibuya arc and Kenjaku’s full plan is finally clear. Unlike Geto who wanted to make only Sorcerers and Yuki who wants to rid the world of Cursed Energy, Kenjaku is essentially making the world a macrocosm of Yuji and Mahito’s fight, using Mahito’s technique to basically do Big Bang from Static Shock (or the A-Day thing if you want a Marvel example) and give thousands of normal people the ability to use Cursed Energy overnight and allow the chaos and violence that ensues to be the catalyst for the evolution of mankind. And just to top it off he just unleashes a fuckton of Cursed Spirits all over just to seal the deal. Now with Gojo unable to keep the most corrupt parts of the Jujutsu government in check and the world reeling from untold destruction with a bunch of new superpowered muggles thrown in the mix including Megumi’s until now irrelevant sister, THAT’S a fucking way to end a season, damn. Meanwhile Yuta’s finally arrived back in Japan and there’s a lot of “previous protagonist syndrome” as I like to call it, like we tend to elevate people that were protagonists in other installments because we went through a full journey with them (ie Red in Pokemon Gold/Silver or any of the previous Jojos in new Jojo parts) and despite Yuta only being like one year removed from the kid that had never held a sword before and somehow Rey Star Wars’d himself into beating the second strongest Sorcerer in the world, there’s a lot of hype because he’s been gone so long, like I’m not complaining just kinda analyzing how the Previous Protagonist Syndrome effect works because it’s kinda fascinating how it feeds off our added familiarity with him. But yeah now that the government’s off the rails, they’ve classified Kenjaku as just Geto 2 and giving him the same order of execution but also excommunicated Gojo even though he’s still in the hypercube, reinstated Yuji’s death penalty and most bafflingly, ordered the death of Jujutsu High’s Headmaster for supposedly orchestrating the Shibuya incident with Gojo and Geto and like bro he wasn’t even there. I also like how even though Gojo’s sealed they just excommunicated him like they didn’t say he has to die whenever he gets free because freeing him is a crime but I also doubt they’re confident in being able to kill him. Meanwhile Yuta’s ordered to be Yuji’s executioner which executions are weird in Jujutusu Government because you usually have to take people into custody first and shit but guess since Yuji got away after Shibuya they were just like ‘idk just go find him and kill him I guess’ so yeah good old new protagonist versus old protagonist shenanigans, that’ll be fun. Also just kinda surprised that Yuta has no connection to Kenjaku’s Bang Baby plan and seems to have just kinda grown powers on his own due to his distant bloodline relation to Gojo, like you’d think that’d be a plot point and Yuta just awakened early or something.
Delicious in Dungeon: The other group from a few episodes ago finally wakes up and thanks to the shady guy that saved them now think the main group robbed them, they also mention later that some of these guys look familiar to the main group and given they’re in the Opening there’s probably something to that. Now we’re in a new level and I just get Made in Abyss vibes whenever they talk about going to a new floor, anyway Senshi’s a dirty dirty man so he can’t do the waterwalking spell and almost gets killed by his supposed pet Kelpie so they end up carving her up and Laios and Chilchuck avoid some Sirens and rescue that second group again to make some porridge out of their dropped shit. Marcille makes soap out of the Kelpie fat and since Senshi is someone who appreciates when someone takes the time and effort to hand make something he agrees to stop being a dirty hobo so they can use magic to cross the lake. Next they fight a giant kraken and end up using the Waterwalking spell as a neat callback to make sure it can’t dive underwater and they just kill it but can’t eat the actual creature so they end up eating its stomach worms which is really kinda gross. And Laios is the first person to actually get sick from one of the things they ate because he basically eats raw ringworm because he’s a dumbass like I’m surprised it took this long. But there’s a big All is One, One is All message about how stuff eating other stuff is the circle of life so yeah.
Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End: So there’s no real getting around this but this is basically an early One Piece episode in disguise. The group continues traveling and rescue a bumbling bum of a man named Sein and have to stop in his village when Stark gets poisoned only to find out Sein is a ridiculously good Priest, like everyone that joins their group is always already ridiculously good at whatever they do because even Frieren doesn’t have time for Training Arcs. Sein is despondent and believes he’s too old to become an adventurer despite his regrets of not joining his ambitious friend when he was younger. He has combined feelings of apathy towards adventuring since he believes said friend is now dead and of obligation to his older brother who declined Heiter’s offer to travel to the Capital to stay in a familiar place with Sein. Seeing a bit of herself in the reluctant adventurer, Frieren resolves to recruit him to the crew and fulfill his lost dreams with gusto that would make Luffy proud. It takes a LOT of arm-twisting and Frieren’s super secret Joestart family seduction technique to finally get him to get over himself and I was honestly plenty surprised he actually joined them since I don’t remember seeing him at all in any promotional materials, like it’s one of those sneaky things you expect to have spoiled for you by the internet age, like when Toph joined Avatar it was weird to suddenly have a new party member be introduced and join like halfway through the series but that turned out pretty well. Still I get the vibe this is more like Tracey from pokemon since it doesn’t seem permanent and he has his own side goal but it’ll be interesting to have an adult along for the adventures (Frieren doesn’t count, she’s a thousand year old child and she knows it).
Vinland Saga: This kind of feels like the season finale right here given how it bookends the farm arc but we do have one more episode after this. Canute has Thorfinn and Einar by the balls and tells them he’s not backing down and if Thorfinn’s not going to assassinate him like Askeladd did his father then there’s nothing he can do about it. And Thorfinn’s just like “Yeah good point, I mean I guess I could run.” And this kinda floors Canute like it’s really funny to watch him break down in laughter after all his time scowling like Thorfinn injected a little levity into his heart that he hasn’t seen in years. Thorfinn goes on to say that he won’t fight and he’ll keep avoiding violence as long as he can and find someplace for the weak and peaceful that have no place in Canute’s kingdom, saying even just cleaning up after Canute’s plan is too much work for a non-king like him so as a King Canute should do a better job of leaving fewer people that need to flee war and slavery. This is enough to get Canute to pull out and we really get a good view of how Canute was overreacting since using a gentler hand actually keeps the English from revolting and solves the army crisis without needing to murder people over wheat. He just got it in his head that “I’m the king I have to do the hard thing” but the hard thing wasn’t the real answer, or more aptly the real hard thing was thinking about a complicated problem more complexly. Thorfinn redoubles his resolve with Einar to create a nation free of war and slavery and they set off with Leif back to Iceland. Olmar basically takes over the farm and all Snake’s men become farmers as well (I mean they’re probably still gonna need guards and shit, just cause you don’t murder people doesn’t mean you let everyone steal willy-nilly but they did say they didn’t have much work to do as guards anyway) Thorgil sees Canute’s retreated and just tells everyone to fuck off and goes to look for another war to fight, Ketil gets to be a douche another day and surprisingly Sverkil lives a while longer, like I thought for sure we were gearing up for a gut punch of him dying of old age but nope, just still old. I also think Olmar’s seen with the girl whose dad lost his hands so I think that’s hinting at them getting together which is a nice little thing. But yeah, Thorfinn’s FINALLY going back to Iceland for a little epilogue to the season, good way to bookend the two seasons that are currently out with returning to where it all started.

I was speaking to someone the other day who said that Kitty was the most boring member of the X-Men, and was in their words "useless" with no skills (like what???)
Anyways just as a reminder, outside of her mutant ability...
Kitty is expert ninja (sure due to a possession by a demon ninja but 1. she survived possession and 2. she still trains)
Kitty being an expert in anything with a sharp or bladed edge. Really good with swords and katanas and knives
Kitty being a computer science genius to the point she was as good and sometimes seen as better with computers than the mutant who could talk to machines
Kitty taking being a genius and taking college classes when she was twelve
Kitty being able to speak Japanese, Russian and the languages of Shi'iar fluently, as well as conversationally in Gaelic, Hebrew, and German
Kitty being a skilled pilot in various aircraft and spacecraft (though okay, never let her behind the wheel of a car)
Kitty being Headmistress of the school! Kitty being leader of the X-Men!
Kitty being the heart of the X-Men. Being an arrogant brat that learns to be better, being a point of human contact between mutants and human
Kitty going back to university to learn and humans trying to kill her for being mutant but she saves those humans.
Kitty being a big reason Magneto started to do good? Kitty being a positive influence there? Helping him out and forgiving him after him almost killing her which was the turning point?
Big bullet going to destroy the earth? Literally no other hero stopping it? Phased the whole thing and sacrificed herself? never talked about again?
She phased the Earth in a way to allow the earths core to destroy a threat in a way that Tony Stark said was impossible
Kitty being able to control the Black Vortex and having god-like powers? She voluntarily gave up that up rather than being possessed?
Kitty having killed the likes of Hulk and Emma Frost in various realities.
Anyways Kitty is a brat and arrogant and sometimes stupid, she can be childish and her love life is a mess. But useless???? No skills???
#i was stunned and anways i could go on more but here is just a mini rant#to be deleted later#useless? that made me sad#theres plenty who love kitt

I just wanted to share a story I've been working on that follows the encounter between an Apostolosian Hollow pilot and a Branched.
I started writing this because I wanted to explore the question of what a low ranking pilot of the Divine Principality might be feeling when they encounter a Branched outside of combat and the Principality itself.
Not sure where it falls chronologically yet, but it's been really fun to write!
ID Below Cut.
[Image ID: A screenshot of a word document that reads
The voice continued to ramble on about lighting and mood as Ote’cura realized that their weapon was gone, most likely ripped from their suit in whatever accident had blown them free of their hollowed. They began to collect themselves, if they couldn’t fight their way out of whatever this creature was then maybe they could bargain with it. It certainly liked to talk.
“Hey, hey! I’ll turn the lights off if you let me move.”
Hmmm, oh yes of course. I didn’t realize that I had been holding you so tightly.
Ote’cura felt the invisible pressure around them relax suddenly and they found themselves spat out onto a gray stone floor. It was as if a switch had been flicked. There was darkness then they could suddenly see the fine grooves of a tiled floor and the hazy light of a gray sun spilling into the room. A sun, they realized, that they did not recognize from the mission briefings. An unfamiliar sun did not phase them. A deep-space hollow pilot was naturally schooled in adapting to survive on foreign planets. This schooling though was often light training as it was far more common for a hollow pilot to die in combat than to survive an orbital ejection, reentry, and then a crash landing. The odds were astronomically pitted against them. It was what they behind them that was more striking and might begin to explain their divine providence.
They turned to see what thing had spit them out so unceremoniously and saw a pitch-black cube nestled in what appeared to be the ruins of an abandoned home. The texture of the cube wasn’t complete darkness as an initial glance implied. They could barely make out lighter patterns, like storm clouds, that roiled and shifted across its surface upon closer inspection. The voice still echoed in Ote’cura’s head again.
There you are, safe and sound. Now if you would, the lights, please. /.End ID]

MINERVA KILLING GAME LORE AND SETUP
Minerva Collegiate is a Danganronpa killing game roleplay that was hosted by tumblr user @andonutty from June 10th to August 21st, 2022. It hosted a wide variety of characters from other media (altered to fit the lore and timeline) as well as original characters created by players.
Minerva Collegiate and the Tragedy
The game takes place within the halls of Minerva Collegiate, a high school founded in 1629 as a USAmerican mimicry (though not a counterpart) of Hope’s Peak Academy. Following the Tragedy, fearing an attack due to the world outcry against Ultimates, Minerva closed its gates to the public.
Behind the scenes, however, Minerva had long been involved in secret attempts to effectively recreate the Kamukura Project in competition with HPA - en masse. Throughout the years, a multitude of students would go missing or be reported dead under mysterious circumstances. Far below the grounds of Minerva Collegiate, these students were subject to branding, experimentation, and torture by the staff to foster their talents and maintain control. They were also equipped with poison shackles similar to those in DR3, allowing any subjects who were a threat to be killed quickly and easily.
As Minerva Collegiate shut its doors, the students forced into experimentation were less-than-blissfully unaware of the Tragedy taking place in the world above, meanwhile the project became more important than ever to the remaining staff members, who were determined to train them to fight the Tragedy in the name of Hope.
Eventually, one of many staff members wracked with guilt over their involvement with the project would tip off one of the subjects, the former Ultimate Pharmacist. They, along with their partner (the former Ultimate Composer) arranged an uprising against the staff, as the bracelets were only effective if a manageable number of students were to attack. In the end, a majority of students and staff died, with only three students (including the Pharmacist) and the staff member who tipped them off making it out on their side. The former Ultimate Composer, Madira, was also among those killed. A mere 14 of the staff members remained, kept alive for the next phase of the Revenge Squad’s justice.
The Killing Game
Inspired by Junko Enoshima’s killing game, the Pharmacist and the others decided to enact revenge on the staff members by putting them in the same helpless position the students were in, as well as repaying them with exactly what they’d been fighting against in their horrid acts against the students.
They were placed into a simulation hosted by one of the students that remained - their memories would be erased back to various points in their teenage years, before ever working at Minerva Collegiate, and they would be subject to a killing game within the simulated walls of the school. The torment was to be amplified by the simulated students and teachers within. As the game continued, the rest of the school would be acting as though nothing strange was going on with the school itself. Instead, the cast themselves would be scrutinized and eventually isolated within the school as a consequence of the very killing game they were being pushed into.
The Revenge Squad would also construct a mascot figure - the golden owl named Ibu - who would serve as the school’s “headmaster” in direct mockery of the Headmaster they currently had at their disposal. The staff member responsible for helping direct the rebellion would remain on the outside of the simulation, piloting Ibu, while an AI version of themselves existed in the game. In addition to this AI, all three remaining students would be sent into the simulation as well, to sabotage the staff-turned-students and further their difficulties. While the Pharmacist would retain memory of the mastermind’s identity, the other two would not.
And so began the pursuit of… revenge? Justice? Catharsis? Whatever it would be, the Revenge Squad was determined to see it through to the end.

More wild mafia au!
I am procrastinating on fifteen different projects, including five fics in my drafts and two I need to cross post to ao3. Also, I need to get my stuff off of Google docs.
Dani knew what she was doing.
She was very aware of how men look at her.
How they have always stared, ever since she grew past her awkward phase in middle school and out of training bras.
They stared.
They stared when she was in her pilot gear.
Her EMT uniform.
Her grad gown.
Her prom dress.
Her first bikini, Kade, and his friends hovering protectively around her as she swam with her friends.
Her freshman homecoming dress, Kade later giving the man who stared at her hungrily a black eye after he tried to follow one of her friends home.
So, she always knew she was pretty.
Beautiful.
A knockout.
Drop dead gorgeous.
Worthy of whistles and praise, just for existing for their hungry eyes. A list of men she refused to be alone around unarmed.
She just didn't think that their would be mechanical ones joining that list.
She could feel eyes on her.
That wasn't new. She was the center of attention, after all.
But these eyes were on her butt, and there was no one behind her except....
Except her new robot partner.
Blades.
Well, that wasn't concerning at all.
The secret was out before the end of the day, when Graham set the newest batch of product on fire again and caused Boulder to get high from inhaling the byproduct. Apparently, nuke wasn't too far off chemically from meth.
Who knew.
Once the secret was out, slowly, Blades got a little more forward about his feelings for her.
Apparently, monsterfucking and kink isn't something that's unique to humans.
And, after Blades had commissioned something special for her from Doc Greene, she could see this little crush of his being fun for a little while. His holoform was fully customizable, after all.
She only needed to threaten him once.
She had to dispose of a news reporter that wasn't as bribeable as Huxley, and Blades good cold feet.
She had to reveal the bomb in his subspace, but luckily by then she and him had a couple of quick fucks under their belt, and Blades had fallen for her hook, line, and sinker.
She would die before admitting it was mutual, at least for now.
She was renewing her EMT certification, at least, the online portion, and she could feel Blades appreciating her loosely tied wrap top behind her while he pretended to clean his winch attachments.
"Dani, have I said how lucky I am that you love me?" Blades said, watching how the ties of her shirt swung around as she typed.
"Every day, Blades. Everyday." Dani said, smiling as she passed her certification with flying colors.
#Dani is who i aspire to be when i dress femme#i actually am a dead ringer for her irl#but i know no one will recognize her without me being in a group#that doesn't mean i don't have a cosplay jacket for her designed with Blades's rotors as the back piece#like most of my projects#i haven't found a good base for her yet#maccadam#transformers rescue bots#dani burns#tw harassment#objectifaction#tw violence#mafia au#tw drugs

From Student to Sky: Journey Through an Aviation Institute in Lucknow
Introduction
For many, the dream of flying begins in childhood. Whether it’s the thrill of soaring through the sky or the desire to work in one of the most exciting industries in the world, aviation offers endless possibilities. Turning that dream into a career, however, takes more than passion — it requires the right training, discipline, and direction. And for many aspiring aviation professionals, Lucknow is becoming the launchpad.
With world-class facilities, expert trainers, and industry-aligned programs, an aviation institute in Lucknow offers the ideal environment to transform aviation dreams into reality. Here’s a step-by-step journey of how a student evolves into a skilled aviation professional in the City of Nawabs.
1. Taking the First Step: Choosing Aviation as a Career
The journey starts with a decision — the decision to enter the aviation industry. For many students, this moment comes after being inspired by a flight, a mentor, or the desire to travel the world. Once that decision is made, it’s all about finding the right institute that can nurture that ambition.
In Lucknow, aviation training centers have grown significantly in quality and reputation, offering multiple courses, certified instructors, and connections to leading aviation companies. This accessibility has made the city a strong choice for aviation education.
2. Selecting a Specialization: Piloting, Cabin Crew, or Management
Aviation is not a one-size-fits-all industry. Students must choose from various roles — pilot, cabin crew, ground operations, aviation management, or maintenance engineering. Each path requires specific training and qualifications.
Upon enrollment, students receive guidance to choose their specialization based on interest, aptitude, and long-term career goals. Once decided, they enter a structured training program focused on technical skills, safety, communication, and customer service.
Midway through the course, students often transition into hands-on practice at a flying school in Lucknow, where they begin learning aircraft operation, in-flight communication, and emergency response.
3. The Learning Process: Where Theory Meets Practice
Training at an aviation institute isn’t limited to books and lectures. It includes an immersive blend of theoretical knowledge and real-world practice. Students study topics like aviation meteorology, aircraft navigation, aerodynamics, aviation regulations, and communication procedures.
Beyond the classroom, they undergo simulation training, mock drills, and even on-ground experience at operational airports. This dual-learning approach helps develop confidence, professionalism, and adaptability.
4. Simulator Training & Flight Hours
One of the most exciting parts of the journey is when students begin their simulation sessions and eventually take control of actual aircraft under supervision. Flight simulators replicate real-world flying scenarios and teach students how to manage takeoffs, landings, and in-flight complications.
These simulations are not just educational — they’re mandatory for licensing. After successfully completing this stage, students earn their initial flight hours, bringing them a step closer to becoming certified pilots or crew members.
During this training phase, students enrolled in an aviation course in Lucknow benefit from access to cutting-edge simulators, DGCA-aligned flight schedules, and personalized mentorship.
5. Professional Grooming & Soft Skills
In the aviation world, how you carry yourself is just as important as what you know. That’s why aviation training also focuses on grooming, communication, and behavioral skills.
Workshops on customer service, teamwork, leadership, and personal development are conducted regularly. These sessions prepare students for the expectations of airlines and aviation employers, where both technical and interpersonal skills are valued.
For cabin crew roles, this grooming is particularly critical and includes modules on safety briefings, emergency response, in-flight etiquette, and medical preparedness.
6. Licensing & Certification
Once training is completed, students undergo a series of assessments — both theoretical and practical — to obtain the necessary licenses or certifications. For pilots, this means qualifying for a Private Pilot License (PPL) or a Commercial Pilot License (CPL). Others may receive certification in aviation management, ground staff operations, or aircraft maintenance.
The process ensures that graduates meet both national (DGCA) and international aviation standards. It’s the moment where the hard work turns into professional validation.
7. Entering the Aviation Workforce
The final step of the journey is entry into the professional world. With certifications in hand, students begin applying to airlines, charter companies, airports, and cargo operators. Lucknow’s aviation institutes often provide placement support, helping graduates secure interviews, internships, and job offers.
As a result, many alumni go on to work as commercial pilots, ground staff, operations managers, or even instructors. Their success stories inspire the next generation of aviation students and help build a stronger aviation ecosystem in the region.
One well-known aviation academy for pilots in Lucknow consistently produces skilled professionals who find placement with top domestic and international carriers.
Why Lucknow is an Emerging Aviation Hub
So why is Lucknow gaining recognition in the aviation education space?
The city combines accessibility, affordability, and academic excellence. It’s home to a major international airport, offers lower living costs than metro cities, and hosts institutes that are rapidly gaining national prominence.
Moreover, the city's growing aviation infrastructure — supported by government initiatives — creates new opportunities for training, internships, and employment within the aviation sector.
Conclusion
From the first day in class to their first solo flight, the journey through an aviation institute in Lucknow is one of transformation, dedication, and achievement. With access to world-class training, skilled mentors, and practical experience, students gain all they need to turn ambition into altitude.
If you’re dreaming of a career in the skies, Lucknow is a smart place to begin that journey. The runway is ready. All you have to do is take off.

Taking Flight as a Mentor: A Step-by-Step Guide to Becoming a Certified Flight Instructor
Aviation is more than just a profession; it’s a lifestyle and a passion that pushes boundaries and elevates ambition. If you’ve ever wondered how to blend your love for flying with the opportunity to inspire others, becoming a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) may be the perfect path. Not only does this role allow you to refine your flying skills, but it also opens the door to a long-lasting, fulfilling career in aviation. Whether your ultimate goal is to fly commercial jets or remain in aviation education, working as a flight instructor is a strategic and meaningful first step.
Discovering the True Purpose Behind Flight Instruction
Flight instruction is about more than passing on techniques—it is about nurturing confidence and safety in the air. A Certified Flight Instructor is a teacher and role model for student pilots learning the ropes of aviation. This role goes beyond the cockpit. A flight instructor also takes part in ground training, explains complex theories, and instills a strong understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations. Being a CFI demands flying experience, patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt your teaching style to various learners.
The personal satisfaction of helping a student pilot pass their first solo flight or earn their private pilot license is immeasurable. Additionally, flight instruction provides a reliable way to log the flight hours required for advancing to commercial airline positions if that’s the direction you aim to take.
Understanding the Starting Point
Becoming a Certified Flight Instructor begins with obtaining a commercial pilot certificate. This foundational certification proves you have the experience, training, and competence to fly professionally. The FAA requires commercial-level proficiency before anyone can begin flight instructor training. Along with the commercial certificate, you must hold at least a second-class medical certificate to ensure you meet the physical requirements for performing instructional duties.
Once these prerequisites are met, you’ll be ready to dive into the specifics of flight instructor training. Depending on your long-term goals, you may also consider pursuing ratings that allow you to teach instrument or multi-engine students. Still, the basic CFI certification is the gateway to these advanced qualifications.
Enrolling in an Instructor Program
Training to become a flight instructor involves classroom study and in-flight instruction, typically through an FAA-certified flight school. During this phase, you’ll refine your flying abilities while learning to communicate effectively, break down complex concepts, and prepare lessons tailored to student progress. Instructors must be masters of maneuvering aircraft, managing personalities, and motivating others.
A significant component of flight instructor training is learning how to teach others in a high-stakes environment. This includes preparing ground school lessons, simulating in-flight emergencies, and helping students overcome fear and self-doubt. To do this well, you must master the FAA’s Fundamentals of Instruction, which covers educational psychology and communication strategies.
You’ll also prepare for two written exams: the Fundamentals of Instruction (FOI) and the Certified Flight Instructor Knowledge Test. These exams evaluate both your teaching capability and your mastery of aviation content. Your instructor will help you build lesson plans, run practice teaching sessions, and sharpen your understanding of all the material you’ll be expected to know as a CFI.
Facing the Final Challenge: The CFI Checkride
The final step to becoming a Certified Flight Instructor is passing the CFI checkride. An FAA examiner conducts this evaluation, often described as one of aviation's most demanding check rides. It consists of an oral exam and a flight test. In the oral exam, you’ll be asked to present lesson plans, explain flight concepts, and respond to instructional scenarios. The examiner is looking for more than just knowledge—they want to see how you teach and how you can communicate.
The flight portion of the check ride simulates what it's like to instruct a student. You’ll be expected to demonstrate maneuvers as if you were teaching them, correct errors made by your “student” (in this case, the examiner), and maintain control of the training situation. Your ability to remain calm, professional, and accurate under pressure is key to passing this final hurdle.
Once you complete the check ride, you’ll be recognized as a Certified Flight Instructor. It’s a significant accomplishment and the beginning of a new chapter in your aviation journey.
Entering the Aviation Workforce as an Instructor
After certification, new instructors typically begin working at flight schools, aviation academies, or universities with aviation programs. Some instructors even choose to freelance at local airports. Your daily work will involve flying with students, teaching ground lessons, and helping learners prepare for check rides. Each student brings a different personality and learning curve, which keeps the job engaging and dynamic.
The early days as a CFI can be intense, but they are incredibly valuable. You’ll build your flight time quickly, develop sharper flying instincts, and gain a deeper appreciation for aviation safety procedures and regulations. While many instructors use the job to build hours for a future airline role, others find great satisfaction in making flight instruction their permanent career. Some eventually move into chief instructor roles, such as flight school management or FAA examination.
Expanding Your Teaching Capabilities
Once you’ve spent some time as a basic flight instructor, you may choose to expand your credentials by pursuing additional instructor ratings. A Certified Flight Instructor – Instrument (CFII) allows you to teach students how to fly in low visibility using instruments only, an essential skill for advanced aviation training. If you’re interested in teaching students in twin-engine aircraft, a Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI) rating is the next step.
These advanced ratings enhance your professional resume and open the door to teaching more diverse students and offering specialized training. This helps you stay competitive and keeps your work interesting and challenging.
Aviation’s Growing Need for Skilled Instructors
The aviation industry is experiencing renewed growth, with a rising demand for pilots and instructors. As airlines expand and older pilots retire, flight schools are seeing increased enrollment. This creates more opportunities for CFIs to enter the workforce and establish long-term careers. Becoming a flight instructor is no longer just a stepping stone—it’s a critical piece of the aviation puzzle.
CFIs are needed in traditional flight schools and commercial training programs, airline cadet programs, and collegiate aviation departments. The ability to teach well is a rare and highly valued skill in this environment, and instructors who excel in their roles often find themselves with a range of career options both in the cockpit and beyond.
Final Thoughts: Embrace the Instructor Journey
Becoming a Certified Flight Instructor is both challenging and fulfilling. It demands dedication, a strong work ethic, and a love for flying and teaching. The process tests your technical skills, patience, and ability to mentor others. But in return, it offers an advantageous way to grow your aviation experience while helping others achieve their dreams.
If you're passionate about flying and eager to share that passion with others, now is the time to take that leap. Find a training program that suits your goals., Study hard, and prepare yourself to fl, read, teach and inspire the next generation of aviators.

1952-53: Saturn-Neptune conjunction people in Libra
King Maha Vajiralongkorn (28/7/1952)
The King of Thailand (Leo) has been King Maha Vajiralongkorn (Rama X) since 2016. Vajiralongkorn means ‘adorned with jewels or thunderbolts’. But he had a reluctant phase on taking the throne. He asked for a delay to be able to mourn with the people the death of his father King Bhumibol. He is trained as a pilot and schooled in Australia, England and the USA. He even threw a 4-day funeral for his pet poodle. But he is a progressive and has given permission for gay marriage in Thailand which is unusual in such a conservative country. What’s fascinating to me is that his Saturn-Neptune is conjunct asteroid Eros, giving it a distinctly sexual flavour. It certainly appears to have promoted rumours about his sexual proclivities and has caused him much scandal including hints of gambling. Thai media law however prevents any criticism of the Royal family which is hugely respected so the details cannot be confirmed. His Saturn-Neptune sandwiches the Moon at the midpoint of the two planets which squares Uranus in Cancer. Plus he has Venus conjunct Pluto in Leo opposite his North Node.
Xi Jinping (15/6/1953) Xi Jinping (Gemini) disappeared for 14 days in 2012 before he reemerged as head of the CCP. Information is scarce about what happened to him. He came from a family of industrialists and his father actually criticised Chairman Mao so he lived through perilous times of the Cultural Revolution of the 1960s. He studied chemical engineering and made contacts in among the military and political personnel he worked with. With patience and a low profile, he rose through the ranks of the CCP to become one of the chief engineers of policy for China. He then disappeared and became head. He is a classic strategic bureaucrat working mainly behind the scenes and with the heavily controlled media in China, it is difficult to confirm that gathering of biometric data has gone too far, rogue electronic parts in solar panels and kettles are entering other countries by the back door, or whether the collapse of the Chinese economy is for real or merely rumoured. His chart is prominent now as Eris and Chiron currently oppose his natal Saturn/Neptune in Libra; and the Pluto opposite Mars is triggering his North Node in Aquarius. He is apparently in a recent announcement he is going to rebuild Yemen which has been destroyed by Western forces.
Tony Blair (6/5/1953) Blair (Taurus) is a British politician who was Prime Minister from 1997-2007. His rise to power is associated with 90s ‘Brittania’ and the death of Lady Diana in 1998 when he spoke to the nation and liaised with the Queen. He was the youngest Prime Minister at age 43. He has a smooth-talking style yet has also been accused of being a war criminal for his role along with Bush Jnr in starting the second Gulf War in 2003. He is forever associated with the phrase ‘weapons of mass destruction’ which turned out not to exist. He converted to Catholicism the day after being Prime Minister sponsored by his wife Cherie. Whether you believe Blair is a force for good or ill, he is arguably more powerful now than he ever was in the Labour party, as he pushes agendas that go contrary to existing governments and public opinion. He has more than 800 staff in 40 countries through his various organisations. His Saturn-Neptune opposes Mercury and Venus in Aries but is also sextile to Pluto in Leo. But that Pluto is opposite his Moon intensifies that polarity rather than softens it. Michael Oldfield (15/5/1953) Oldfield (Taurus) is a music composer from Reading, England. He joined Kevin Ayres band on the bass guitar, but he rose to fame suddenly because of a film (Neptune). His farfisa organ refrain from Tubular Bells was played in ‘The Exorcist’ (1973). He was only 19 when Tubular Bells was released yet he played all of the 20 instruments in its composition but he had started it the year before in November 1972. It starts with a simple motif and then builds slowly and the music expands through all its variations. This created the unsettling tone and atmosphere in that classic film and from that flowed the money for Richard Branson to expand his empire at Virgin Records. Structured music such as Tubular Bells might be a key descriptor Saturn combined with Neptune. His Saturn-Neptune opposes Venus in Aries and squares Uranus in Cancer- that’s a cardinal T Square. But the Saturn-Neptune is also sextile to Pluto in Leo.
Anodea Judith (1/12/1952) Anodea Judith (Sagittarius) is from Ohio. She is a pubic speaker, therapist, yoga teacher and author of several books such as Wheels of Life: A User’s Guide to the Chakra System. She is on the faculty at the Kripalu centre for Yoga and Health. She blends elements of mythology, psychology, bio-energetics, systems theory, biology and mystic spirituality. Even shaman monks on retreats in Bali use Anodea Judith’s ideas for energising the chakra system with crystals placed on that part of the body. So, her influence reaches far and wide. She has one of the signature aspects for Yogis and Yoginis -which is Jupiter square Mars. The Saturn/Neptune conjunction is at the apex of a T. Square with Venus in Capricorn opposite Uranus in Cancer. It is also sextile to Pluto in Leo.
Roseanne Barr (2/11/1952) Roseanne Barr (Scorpio) is TV show host from Salt Lake City, a veteran of the comedy club circuit and a self confessed ‘big mouth’. She says her comedy is ‘political’ and she does not hold back. However, she has struggled with addictions to nicotine and various operations. Her revived show Roseanne was taken off air in 2018 after a tweet she put out about Obama’s senior advisor. The tweet was labelled ‘racist’ which she claims was actually political as her comedy is ‘political’. Her views have dramatically shifted since she was a Democrat in the early 90s. Assisted by her son, she remains in her seventies still stridently outspoken and seemingly unstoppable. The Saturn-Neptune in her chart is sextile to both Venus and Pluto which is powerful (she say she is ‘protected’). But the conjunction is also the apex of a T-Square to Uranus in Cancer and Mars in? so that’s explosive indeed. That’s in addition to a Mercury in Sagittarius opposite the Moon in Gemini.
Caroline Myss (2/12/1952) Myss (Sagittarius) was born just a day after Anodea Judith. She can be an inspiring speaker on subjects like grace, intuition, self development and mystical states of mind. She works as a medical intuitive. She comes out with gems like “Collective events are created by collective psychic free radicals” which is a modern spin on Jung’s theory which proposes that personal neurosis is projected into the collective realm. She often asks you to imagine what it would be like to have her as ‘your spiritual director’ acting like a tough-talking life coach with a strong Chicago accent encouraging any spiritual development. She is also a researcher and teacher specialising in the field of medical intuition, the chakra system, Saint Theresa of Avila and practical mysticism. Her set of Archetypes cards is useful. Her Saturn-Neptune is actually a focal point in her chart as it is at the apex of a T-square squaring Venus in Capricorn and Uranus in Cancer. But it is also one corner of a grand mini-trine with the Moon in Gemini and Pluto in Leo.
