A new series of the anime has been announced. This is due to air in April and features two new characters, Riko and Roy and feature the Paldea starters

I'm excited for the new characters and feel this should have happened a while ago, but saying goodbye hurts all the same, and I'm still reeling from the news...

As cool as it would be, I do not think Riko/Liko is Ash's daughter. For a very simple reason. In the preview, the intro said this:

To me, this feels more like she's starting her journey the same time Ash is finishing his or whatever he's going to do. If anything, I expect that maybe they'll meet each other in the future or even just have some minor Ash cameos. As for her hair clip being similar, I think it's just a nod to Ash's first hat. A symbol she's stepping into the lead.

I'm also hesitant to believe this because I went through something like this with another ended and the new series's protagonists had the same last name as the previous protagonist, but as the show went on that does not seem to be the case anymore.

In short, I'm just not making the speculations so I don't hype myself too much.

Had time for a tiny Liko doodle today. Gotta practice drawing my tiny girl!

I love how they've already given Liko an internal conflict that's so different from not just Ash, but most protagonists we've had in Pokemon so far. We've had characters be nervous before, and who've had difficulties socializing in their past, but I don't think any of them responded to it the way Liko does.

She's not super animated when it comes to her anxieties, either, which is kind of refreshing in a way. I feel like there's a tendency to make these sorts of characters so loud and obvious about their fears that it sometimes becomes comical, and while I don't have an issue with that, it's nice to see this more grounded take on it, too.

Because like... anxiety isn't always visible. Liko clearly has a lot going on in her head at any given moment, but she doesn't outwardly express herself very much. And as a result, people reportedly have a hard time understanding her.

And that's just really cool to see in the protagonist of this kind of series - one that has such a bright, loud energy to it. Sure, Liko will probably develop to have a similar energy to her, but her starting place is fundamentally different from what we've seen before, and that's exciting to see play out. I'm already looking forward to seeing more of her!

More facts cuz I can :)

Riko, Tetsuji, and Ichirou are actually brothers with big age differences so they were able to play family members for the show

Kevin knew French before the show which helped him get the part

Jean is also a model and became close with Kevin after the series

Jean loves his character a lot, but his favorite character is Jeremy even though he had the least amount of screen time

Kevin and Allison take the most naps on set and are prone to getting pranked because of it. All of the cast have at least several photos of them napping in the most random places

Matt used to be a boxer and physical trainer before he started acting

Dan and Andrew are close friends despite their characters hatred towards each other

Renee learned martial arts for her character

Aomine Daiki x Reader

‘'Ts a minor concussion”, you say while handing a water bottle to Aomine, “No need to worry.”, crouched on your hunches, you crease your lips and stand up.

While Kuroko helps Aomine up, you feel a confused chatter erupting between the men. Of course, that would be the case because no one knows who this new girl is who is talking in an American accent.

Alex puts her arm around your shoulder and pulls you towards her, “This is y/n everyone! She’s a close friend, so behave.” She goes to kiss on your lips when you put a finger on her lips, “You should get this habit checked out you know.”

Alex pouts removing her hand from your shoulders and you bow your head, “Nice to meet you everyone.” You speak in perfect Japanese, and the men smile and bow, returning the greetings with enthusiasm.

You look expectantly at Taiga, he puts his hand on your head and ruffles your hair, “I can’t believe you are actually here.”

You swat his hand away jokingly and give him a teddy bear hug, “Why won’t I? This is important to you.” Everyone’s eyes get bewildered in the shape of discs watching the caring side of Kagami.

Their fitness trainer Riko gives them the death stare, ‘’Back to practice everyone.” Her background turns dark and evil, and everyone just scurries away back to the court quickly.

“Except you Aomine.” Riko walks up to you, “Kagami told me you’re a doctor?” You nod your head and say, “He should be fine.” You turn towards him and smile reassuringly, “Just take it slow for a couple of days.” Riko nods and motions her head towards the bleachers to him.

Sitting at the bleachers, Aomine had been checking you out incessantly, takes in your appearance. You are not his usual type but you are beautiful in your own way. He likes the sound of your voice when you talked in Japanese, how your eyes crinkled when you smiled at him. He finds himself getting drawn to you and wants to know more about you. “Slow for a couple of days, huh?” He thinks to himself and rubs his neck smiling to himself.

After the practice gets over, he hears you talking to Kagami about how you will be here for the Olympics and would provide any medical support to the team while you are here. It bugs him how close you are to Kagami and wonders if you are his girl from America - which makes this pursuit even more interesting for him, he thinks devilishly to himself. “She seems nice.” Aomine jumps up in shock as Kuroko says this from nowhere. “SINCE HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN HERE?!” Kuroko smiles, “I have been here ever since you sat here.” Aomine rolls his eyes, “yeah whatever.”

You settle in Kagami’s apartment and rest down on the couch after the shower, your muscles sore from the long flight. You see a Basketball Monthly kept on the table, picking it up you notice the cover. It’s that boy from the court who got hit by the ball. You look closely at his features, your eyes wandering off to his blue eyes reminding you of the deepest and darkest part of a mysterious ocean. You remember looking into his eyes on the court, and find yourself smiling at the recollection. You shake your head to break out from the reverie.

You read his name, “Aomine Daiki.”
