ok i have a lot of feelings about linda darnell. she was so complex and messy and talented and just such a tragic figure and deserved so much better. her mom basically ignored the rest of her kids in favor of pushing linda into hollywood, which led to her missing out on a lot of childhood experiences, prevented her from enrolling in college, and caused some mental health issues later in life. it’s especially heartbreaking that she met such a preventable end so early in life, and i always wonder what might’ve happened if she had been able to make more movies. she also disliked the hollywood social scene, which i think is totally valid of her. anyway, i loved her in a letter to three women and unfaithfully yours, and especially in no way out, which i think is one of her better roles, really showcasing her acting ability. and the fact that she never really got recognition keeps me up at night,, in my heart she has all the oscars

Two-Face ought to be a top Batman sexyman!

Of the candidates left in @batman-heritageposts' Batman Sexyman tournament, in my mind Two-Face is the best suited to be considered the best Batman sexyman, even though unlike Scarecrow, he does not even have an actual entry on Sexypedia! To prove my point, I have gone onto Sexypedia's trope list and taken the liberty of actually compiling a list of all the sexyman tropes that I believe can definitively apply to him. So for your viewing pleasure, the list:

Angst Tragic backstory. Lamenting the life he's lost as well as his own present existence. Two-Face is FULL of all kinds of angst! And given that he used to be besties with Bruce, he even makes Batman angst too!

Chaoslord Comes with the territory of his gimmicks. He is often noted as being Batman's most unpredictable villain because he lets a coin make all of the decisions for him! Even he can't predict what he's going to do next! Chaos vs order is a persistent theme with him.

Criminal Obviously.

Dealmaker More in a gambling way than in a supernatural 'deal with the devil' way. But he often makes promises and deals and will keep to them so long as the coin flips the right way. Also he used to be a lawyer. Kinda comes with the territory.

DILF He may not be a canonical parent right now, but boy does he have the vibes for it!

Distinctive Voice (Two-Face) While Harvey tends to talk in a pretty normal voice, Two-Face often talks in a growl. Depends on the iteration though.

Divorced We know for a fact that Harvey was married... And while in current canon his wife is supposed to be dead, in many canons it's often unclear whether she's dead, they split up for whatever reason through whatever methods, or whether they're still together. Because you know. Continuity! In any case, him being divorced from Gilda isn't an unpopular theory. A valid one, certainly given how he's caught up in a cycle of being at Arkham and on the streets as a criminal.

Dominating (Two-Face) Usually Two-Face, not Harvey so much, and through sheer force of personality. Big step on me vibes here!

Duality The basis of his entire character and gimmick!

Egotistical (Two-Face) Harvey tends to be a pretty humble guy. He certainly has a lot to brag about, being a legitimate legal genius and all, but he tends to keep it on the down-low. Two-Face on the other hand? He ABSOLUTELY thinks that he's hot shit and will brag about it, and will shoot at anyone who doesn't want to listen or disagrees with him!

Eye Imagery His whole asymmetrical deal leads to him having very... Interesting eyes... In many iterations he doesn't have an eyelid on the scarred side, making that eye look bulbous in comparison. Also the whole getting half of his face melted off thing led to his eye color changing in many iterations. So as a minimum, he's usually portrayed as having some form of heterochromia.

Gay/Questionable LGBT Rep The fact that this man who is Bi everything NOT being confirmed as interested in men should be considered a CRIME! Let Harvey make out with Bruce already!

Hot-headed (Two-Face) Harvey can usually keep his cool, but Two-Face is noted for being very hot-headed. When Harvey loses his temper, that's usually when Two-Face ends up fronting.

Intelligence (mostly Harvey) While Two-Face is certainly no idiot, Harvey is likely the smarter one by sheer virtue of he's an actual genius when it comes to matters involving the law. Law genius also translates pretty well to criminal genius, turns out. There was a reason that Harvey was District Attorney. He was just the best damn lawyer in all of Gotham and for good reason!

Knifemurderer Yep! Two-Face sure has murdered a whole lot of people! Two-Face is probably most well-known for deciding whether to kill people or not based off of a coin flip.

Magnificent Bastard In many iterations, fits this trope to a T.

Power of Love In his third ever appearance, he decided to stop being a criminal because Gilda still loved him despite his appearance. Since then, this is a theme that continues to pop up now and again with his character- that so long as people love Harvey, he can be saved.

Questionable Neurodivergent Rep Is explicitly shown to be plural and having OCD. The representation is often... Not so great... Though it does seem to be a thing that many writers are trying to improve on.

Scars Literally half of his entire face, and oftenhis body will be scarred up too! It's where he gets his moniker of "Two-Face" and is therefore deeply tied to his character and gimmicks.

Twisted Freaking Cycle Path Yep! Usually with DID.

Unkempt (Two-Face) Harvey usually keeps pretty tidy, but sometimes Two-Face will be unkempt on his side of the body.

Morally Grey Obviously, again. Also this is like his entire deal!

Well-Dressed/Suitguy He's practically THE suitguy of the Batman rogues gallery! With snazzy two-tones suits that are split down the middle too! Definitely among the best dressed of the rogues.

White Hair Often his disfigured side will have messy white hair, if he has hair on that side at all.

Meanwhile, how many sexyman tropes apply to Dick Grayson? I'll be honest, I know nothing about the Talon iteration of Dick Grayson and therefore more of the sexyman tropes likely apply to him than your bog standard Dick Grayson... BUT IS IT 27 TROPES!!!??? Even Scarecrow doesn't have 27 tropes attributed to him on his sexyman page! And I didn't even include the more subjective tropes the require a fair bit of popularity like Johnlocked, Controversial, or Fanon Splintering!

Loud, crowded open mic nights at the bar should be the last place Bob wants to be on a week night. There's a reason why the night does so well for Penny, why Avi is right to doubt Penny would ever cancel it. Alcohol is a powerful social lubricant - it gets people on stage and keeps the crowd entertained when the singer is nothing but.

Bob does, actually, beg off Wednesday nights sometimes, and yet something keeps him coming back. Sure, he does actually enjoy spending time with his friends, even if not drinking, but sometimes he also likes blending in with the crowd, being a forgettable face, and enjoying the view.

It's a little tragic actually, being a gay guy in the Navy, surrounded by fit and capable men and not being able to act on most of it.

Jamie Johnson 5x08 Review

Tonight was one of the best, if not the best, Jamie Johnson eps so far. Dillon faced some of his toughest obstacles yet in his coming out journey and we got some sweet Delliot moments. Let’s dig in!

This British kids soccer show continues to make history. We saw some very nuanced and mature discussions between Dillon and Elliot about being gay and coming out; how often on tv do two gay kids actually discuss their sexualities?  Elliot gave Dillon some great advice and perhaps more importantly told Dillon that he was in fact brave and a winner on and off the pitch

You’d have to be daft to deny that Dillon and Elliot have crushes on each other after this ep. Seeing both Dillon and Elliot trying their best to look nice before meeting up with each other was cute and their handhold at the pitch was very sweet. Lots of soft smiles and longing glances and we even got a hug before Elliot left

Laquarn has confirmed that he’s not in any more S5 eps and doesn’t know if he’s back for the yet to be filmed S6. I can only hope he’ll come back. It would be a waste of great chemistry and an engaging character if Elliot was just meant to help Dillon with his sexuality before passing the torch to Ruby. He clearly left the door open for a future reunion when he told Dillon to call him when he was ready. Patrick confirmed in an interview today that he’ll be back for S6 and presumably Dillon will be playing for Foxborough or some other pro team. Being in a relationship would certainly be a good spur for Dillon to come out more publicly. And Elliot’s love of astronomy is a perfect set up for a date under the staahs

It’s true that the show has not really focused on ships in a big way; the most we’ve gotten was Boggy and Nancy and the low key Jack, Jamie, and Michelle triangle. But at the same time if Dillon can take Indira out and kiss Sienna then he should be able to date a boy he likes. It would be tragic if the closest Dillon gets to having a boyfriend or kissing a boy is Liam outing Dillon and claiming that Elliot was Dillon’s boyfriend and that he thought they were gonna kiss

And it’s a bit shady that Eric of all people is suddenly getting a female love interest out of nowhere. I just hope when the show eventually ends that it doesn’t turn out to be another Andi Mack where Cyrus was able to kiss a girl twice and go on dates with a girl and use the word girlfriend when none of that happened with a boy

Jamie Johnson really covered a lot tonight with Dillon. We had a very helpful run down of Dillon’s past with girls and the show carefully explains that Dillon never liked Sienna like that, he never wanted to kiss her, he never had a crush on anyone else like she thought, and he never liked Ruby as more than a friend (at least Duby shippers still have Alba and Liam for an Osborne-Simmonds ship). It wasn’t subtle but I think it was necessary to really drive home that Dillon is really gay and there’s no going back. And we got confirmation that Elliot was Dillon’s first crush, he’s obviously never beaten anyone up on this show and the way he phrases it makes clear that he’s never really thought about liking boys that way until very recently

And boy did this ep ever tackle homophobia. Graham Simmonds was seriously out of order this ep. He clearly didn’t want to believe Liam but Dillon using his aftershave already primed him to believe he was trying to impress someone, he just assumed it had been a girl. He really ran through the homophobe’s greatest hits collection: blaming Ruby’s gay parents, saying being gay was a choice, saying that being gay would end Dillon’s career, and disowning and kicking Dillon out for being gay. I suspect that quite a few of the parents watching JJ with their kids hold some of the same views or act the same way and this ep really holds up a mirror and reflects how ugly that kind of behaviour is. We also see Graham praising Dillon’s accomplishments and character right before Liam outs him which just exposes his hypocrisy even more. I do give the show credit for not shying away from Graham’s awfulness, it’s not going to be a quick change for him to suddenly accept Dillon and I’m excited to see his journey to atoning for his mistakes

Thankfully Mrs. Simmonds returned from her banishment to the shadow realm to tell Dillon she loved him and to tell him to return home. Shaun Duggan said he hoped this ep would be a lifeline for kids watching who may be living in homophobic homes (he also mentioned that CBBC rules don’t allow eps to allow on cliffhangers so he has to end an ep showing that the characters are at least physically okay)

It also challenges the audience, most of whom are probably young boys and men, as to whether they will suddenly stop liking Dillon just because he’s gay. It was a real gamble on the show’s part to have their fan favourite character and the effective second lead of the show come out as gay but it has the tremendous pay off of really making the audience question their assumptions and hopefully for some of them it will change their world views

Dillon and Elliot also discussed homophobia in sports. Dillon correctly notes that there aren’t any out players in the top professional teams. Shaun Duggan mentioned in a BBC interview that they like to bring on professional soccer players when they’re having the kids going through things but this time he wasn’t able to have anyone come on to help Dillon because there are no out players. So it falls to Jamie Johnson to basically create that reality themselves by telling Dillon’s story

Patrick Ward did a phenomenal job tonight and he really is the best of the kid actors. He’s mentioned in interviews that he did a lot of research by watching shows and movies with similar gay story lines. In particular his breakdown set to Behind Blue Eyes by the Who was very well done (and once again the show has great taste in music). And of course, Shaun Duggan did an amazing job writing this ep. He’s openly gay himself and that makes all the difference in bringing an authenticity and depth to this story line. On Andi Mack of the 5 textual gay eps only one, 3x11, was written by a gay man and not surprisingly that was the best written by far of those eps

We were 19 minutes into the ep before Jamie himself briefly showed up. And he was 5th in the credits tonight with Dillon and Elliot taking the number 1 and 2 spots. Actually this whole ep had a very small cast and only a few locations, it really helped focus this ep on Dillon. Having Dillon seek out Jamie is interesting in that they’ve been foils for each from the start. But also because it sends a message to have Jamie Johnson himself praise Dillon, it’s a way for the writers to speak directly to the audience through the title character

We’ll doubtless get some more development on Dillon’s story line in the rest of the season but they’ve done historic work so far. A lot of what we’ve seen so far: the depiction of homophobia, coming out to parents, and two gay kids discussing their sexualities has yet to happen anywhere on Disney. Hell this ep alone had more uses of the word gay than Disney has yet to have

I loved how extra the black and white boxing match cold open was. Not surprising that Dillon sees Mike as the supportive (and non homophobic) father figure he wishes Graham was

This was a big step backwards for Liam’s redemption arc tonight but at least at the end he didn’t seem to buying into his dad’s bullshit about them being the only men left in the house. Liam is by no means blameless but he’s also a victim of his dad’s emotional abuse and his pitting his sons against each other. That little meet up with Eric was interesting because they’re foils for each other in some ways and I’m curious to see what lies ahead for Liam and the U13 crew and for how Liam makes this up to Dillon

Looking Ahead:

Finally we get back to the real meat and potatoes of this show; online gaming! Looks like Mike is bored of gardening at the allotment and wants Jamie to get back into real soccer. We’ll see if Jamie makes into the online tournament

Again, not really sure why Eric suddenly needs Ayesha but we’re getting some Freddie anger over Eric choosing lasses over lads

when I started shipping it if I did: like literally four days ago when I watched a jarrich fanvid on youtube out of amusement/curiosity more than anything else ... but it was late at night and I was feeling tender and just got straight-up punched in the face with feelings so now I’m a SHIPPER OF THIS

my thoughts: it’s just... really pure? like. jared is so wonderfully kind and supportive but also really damn competent and a badass. and richard is wonderfully brilliant and (despite spiteful fits) is a kind person usually i think, and would treat the people he cares about well. their canon professional relationship is really strong and that makes our fan shipping nicer/easier/more emotionally strong. I just. based solely on the canon I can realistically see them getting together, and sure ships that have no canon basis are fun too, but it’s just really nice that this one does have something of a canon basis! i think they do really care about each other in canon. and their personalities are just so great for fanon -- jared the extremely protective devoted mother hen who sometimes slips into ‘terrifying right hand man’ mode (can’t remember where i read that quote but i love it) and has a tragic past but has prevailed to become (probably?) happy and successful ... and richard the awkward nervous genius who is usually meek and goofy but slips into vengeful bastard/badass mode every now and then .... god I LOVE THEM

What makes me happy about them: how pure and kind and respectful and diplomatic jared is, and how richard is such a wonderfully flawed protagonist but, despite his flaws, is still a good person (feels remorse, tries not to fuck people over for no reason) and a total fucking badass

What makes me sad about them: jared’s past :/// and richard being awkward/unresponsive to jared’s affections hahaha which, in canon, he totally has the right to do and i’m not annoyed or anything, i’d probably feel uncomfortable about jared if i were richard because he is a little overbearing/unsettling at times? but in FANON then it’s like ... oh no the ship ... :’( but! it’s okay we can always write our own stuff ;)

things done in fanfic that annoys me: I haven’t read any fanfic that truly annoys me but I have heard that some fics have richard being pretty homophobic which is 1) sad and 2) not really supported by canon either?? so why???? I’m just not a fan of gratuitous homophobia-based pain... also, this might just be me but I’m a little bit put off by fics where jared and richard are portrayed as gay men who don’t realise they’re gay and whenever they’re with women it feels wrong -- not because I have anything against the concept of them being gay, but because it feels a BIT like bisexual erasure to me. things I look for in fanfic: HAHAH like literally anything jarrich because this is a small fandom. though that said, I don’t like fics where richard treats jared badly. i’m also not usually a fan of the really kinky smuts -- just a personal preference. and i don’t like fic that’s set in canon universe but it’s REALLY DARK because oh... oh man. yeah, none of these are things i have a moral issue with or anything lmao it’s just not what i enjoy. and i think i enjoy basically everything else hahah

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: literally anyone who makes them happy and with whom they have a convincing on-screen relationship with; as long as it feels believable and well-written, i don’t mind ... as long as it’s not with any of the villains HAHAH (eg gavin)

My happily ever after for them: Pied Piper becomes really successful in a way that still means they can live relatively happy/normal lives. Richard proposes to Jared and they get married. I can’t really see Richard wanting kids but I feel Jared might? So let’s compromise and say they get pets (birds!) (or a dog?) and Jared is welcomed into Richard’s extended family and becomes the best uncle ever, while volunteering to help out kids in need etc.

You’re probably one of the first people I’ve seen who takes actual wrestling seriously and not think it’s weird and a bit sexual. I did stats for my high school team and it’s such a physical sport! Really tests your body, skill, and mental fortitude. People have matured through doing it every year. So kudos to you for that!

Out of all the fight sports Wrestling, both Freestyle and Greco Roman, stand out as the most demanding, both with skills and physical conditioning required to be successful. It’s the most ancient of fight sports, being practiced in Greece 2.500 years ago. We all got a scare recently when Wrestling was almost eliminated from the Olympics, which would have been tragic. Unfortunately the Consumer Culture is its most ominous enemy, bad-mouthing it as “too aggressive and gay”. I always cringe when I hear that simply because I too was a wrestler in high school and remember just how demanding those practices and tournament were. These statements promote the ignorance fo the sport and what it demands. The simple fact is that Wrestling builds Men. It’s a perfect example of what fighting produces and nurtures - Manliness. So anything that I can do to fight the ignorance spewed by the Consumer Culture against Wrestling is supportive. Joestar family

George Joestar - The father of the three Joestar boys. Born in England, he served in the royal air force for a time before moving to the U.S., where he took up a career in real estate. A kind, hardworking man and a loving father. After his first wife left him, he met Seiko Higashikata while on a business trip to Japan, and married her about a year later. Murdered by Dio in 2010. 

Elizabeth Joestar: George’s first wife and biological mother of Jonathan and Joseph. Formerly a highly successful lawyer, and particularly known for her role in the so-called “Pillar Men case” of the late 80s, in which she ensured that three mutants who had committed many murders got convicted. However, in 1996 she suddenly divorced her husband for reasons unknown to her children, and her current whereabouts are unknown.

Holly Joestar (Seiko Higashikata) - George’s second wife, Jotaro’s biological mother, and mother in every other sense of the word to Jonathan and Joseph. Born in Morioh, Japan; Upon moving to America with her husband, George, she adopted the name “Holly”. Beloved by all for her sweet and gentle nature. Murdered by Dio in 2010. 

Danny - The Joestars’ beloved childhood pet, a friendly and highly intelligent harlequin great dane. Unfortunately, he died in 2004 after being hit by a car; After some debate, it was eventually determined that he did not simply wander into the street, but was in fact pushed by Dio.

Tomoko Higashikata - The younger sister of Seiko Higashikata/Holly Joestar, and mother of Josuke. Had an affair with a foreigner during her college years, which led to the birth of Josuke, who she raised as a single mother with help from her father and long-distance support from her sister’s family. Died in a car accident in 2013.

Ryohei Higashikata - Seiko and Tomoko’s father, a police officer in Morioh. Helped to raise Josuke along with Tomoko. Died in a car accident in 2013.

Jotaro’s pet fish - Jotaro has had many pet fish of varying types over the years. Their names are Beyoncé, Cyndi Lauper, Madonna, Shakira, Mariah Carey, Britney Speares, and Katy Perry. Only Beyoncé, Mariah, Shakira, and Britney are currently alive; Madonna died during a power outage, Cyndi Lauper was eaten by Katy Perry, and Katy Perry died of an infection after having been bitten by Beyoncé. Jotaro and Kakyoin suspect that Beyoncé purposefully bit Katy with the intention of avenging Cyndi.

Joestar aquaintances

Dio Brando - Jonathan’s childhood... “friend”. Initially hated mutants (although he never showed that side of him when Jonathan or his parents were around, much to the frustration of Joseph and Jotaro), but after developing powers of his own at age 12, he came to believe that he and certain other mutants were inherently better than humanity as a whole. As he grew increasingly more conceited, he and Jonathan had several falling-outs, culminating in a violent fight in which Dio murdered George and Holly Joestar. He has not been seen since. His powers include levitation, super strength, freezing, and the ability to heal himself- at the cost of draining life force from other living beings.

Will Zeppeli - A longtime friend of the family, and mentor to George’s father, who died young and was also named Jonathan. Very eccentric, but kind, and helped the boys get back on their feet after the deaths of their parents. Owns a book store, where Jonathan works.

Jonathan’s friends

Robert E.O. Speedwagon - Grew up on the streets, and was involved in crime throughout his youth before finally doing his best to go clean. Currently seems to bounce around from job to job and doesn’t always even have one, but when he does, he manages to give a portion of what he makes to charity, no matter how small his wages. A supportive friend with fantastic hair. Very gay for Jonathan, although Jonathan himself is oblivious to this. His superpower is heating his abs red hot.

Erina Pendleton - Jonathan’s longtime girlfriend. They initially dated in middle school, but she lived abroad for several years before finally returning in 2010. Currently a medical student, with dreams of opening her own clinic that treats anyone, including mutants, at low costs so it’s accessible to the poor. Very passionate about improving healthcare for mutants, and very kind and motherly, but doesn’t take shit from anyone.

Joseph and Caesar’s friends

Smokey Brown - An orphan with a knack for picking pockets, and friend of Joseph’s since the first year of high school. Although he is known to be somewhat easily freaked out, he’s generally the voice of reason among their group. Always there if you need someone to confide in. Currently attending college with plans of going into politics.

Suzi Q - Joseph’s girlfriend, although they had feelings for each other long before they started dating, and only got together after a lot of pressure from Smokey and Caesar to just fucking confess already jesus christ. (Even now, they’re still a bit shy in their relationship.) Sweet, energetic, and absolutely terrible at making decisions.

Josuke and Okuyasu’s friends and classmates

Koichi Hirose - The first friend Josuke made after moving to the U.S., partly because of his basic Japanese skills. A very well-behaved boy and definitely the most reasonable member of their friend group, although he can be persuaded into doing reckless things, and can be quite cruel and crafty when he wants to. He has the ability to create auditory hallucinations- whether affecting everyone within a certain radius, or targeting specific individuals- and is lucky enough to have very pro-mutant parents, so his friends often hang out at his place.

Yukako Yamagishi - Koichi’s girlfriend, although she’s friends with Josuke and Okuyasu too. Almost impossible to stop once she’s put her mind to something, and probably the most likely to get away with murder out of anyone. Her power is manipulation of her hair. Her parents are very anti-mutant, and don’t know that she and Koichi are mutants, or that they have other friends who are.

Toshikazu Hazamada - A student in their grade, a shapeshifter who’s been known to cause trouble using other people’s identities. Although he is definitely a troublemaker, he’s not always especially malicious, and has something of a truce with Koichi due to having the same favorite manga.

Other

Rohan Kishibe - Author of the international best selling manga Pink Dark Boy, and former classmate of Joseph and Caesar, to whom he is known as “Hey, aren’t you that kid who drew all the weaboo stuff in 9th grade?”. Can “read” the histories of others, a power which is activated through physical contact. (While it is voluntary, he usually wears gloves just as a precaution.) Seems to have taken a liking to Koichi, for whatever reason, but doesn’t always get along with most of the others due to his generally snobby personality. Doesn’t consider himself part of the mutant community, and instead believes himself to be on a separate tier from all of humanity; However, unlike Dio, he doesn’t believe that this devalues anyone else and isn’t really interested in the whole “enslaving humanity to do my bidding” thing.

Mikitaka Hazakura - An odd boy with shapeshifting powers, probably about Josuke and Okuyasu’s age, who claims to be an alien whose full name is Nu Mikitakazo Nshi. Has been known to eat things that really aren’t meant for eating.

Telence T. D’Arby - An egotistical tryhard gamer who’s something of an unwanted rival to Kakyoin. Both of them have frequented the same gaming store for many years, and ever since Kakyoin beat him in a Mario Kart tournament, Telence has been determined to beat him at everything he possibly can.

Hol Horse - Another former classmate of Joseph and Caesar. Nobody knows why he acts like a bad cowboy stereotype. Everyone kind of thought he’d grow out of it after the first year or two of high school, but somehow, he didn’t. What a weird guy.

Tonio Trussardi - Owner of the best pizza place around, and just generally an amazing cook. Has the power to sense health issues (both physical and mental) in others, and like a true Italian, often attempts to remedy them using the power of good home cooking.

Wang Chen - A Chinese immigrant who sells weird T-shirts and other things out of a banged up old van behind the post office. Always has kind of a shifty aura about him and the fact that he’s selling these things out of a van behind the post office is questionable, but hey, at least his shirts are cool and reasonably priced!

Keicho Nijimura - Okuyasu’s older brother, with the power to manipulate certain small objects. Due to having to take care of his family on his own at a young age, he was always very stressed, which usually manifested in anger and aggression towards the most convenient target (which was usually Okuyasu). Tragically, he eventually committed suicide at age 17.

Mr. Nijimura - Okuyasu and Keicho’s father. Had a difficult time holding down a job, and signed up for an experimental medical trial that resulted in his mutation- whatever it may have originally been- going wild, until he was eventually more animal than human. Killed by Keicho at the same time he committed suicide.

Reimi Sugimoto - A resident of Morioh. Josuke’s former babysitter when he was a kid, and also took him in during the period of time between the death of his family and when he was able to move in with his American cousins.

Rudol von Stroheim - A local police officer and actual neonazi. However, he seems to be mostly all talk and might not even actually have a real concept of reality. Joseph often finds it entertaining to prompt him into going on his long, hilariously bizarre rants, and sometimes records this and posts it on his blog.

Straizo - Another cop. Mysterious and cold, and more professional than Stroheim.

The Passione gang - An up-and-coming local mutant gang who the cops can never seem to catch. Coincidentally, in the years since their gang formed, drug-related crimes in the area have dropped drastically, and local gardening and agriculture seems to be flourishing.
