You can still create a vibrant, welcoming ambiance with a few last-minute House Diwali Decoration Ideas. Whether you want to spruce up your living room or add a festive touch to other spaces, these easy and effective tips will help you get your home Diwali-ready in no time.
1. Brighten Your Home with Diyas and Candles
One of the easiest house Diwali decoration ideas is to light up your space with traditional diyas and candles. Diyas are a Diwali essential and instantly bring a warm glow to any room. Arrange them in clusters on tables, window sills, and even your balcony to create a stunning visual effect. If you’re short on time, opt for pre-decorated diyas or colorful candles for a quick and effective touch.
2. Use Fairy Lights to Add Magic
Fairy lights are another fantastic option for a last-minute festive update. They can be used indoors or outdoors to brighten your home. Drape fairy lights around your living room, wrap them around stair railings, or hang them along windows. These lights create a beautiful, twinkling effect that adds charm to your home during Diwali.
For those focusing on Diwali decoration ideas for living room, fairy lights are an easy way to make the space feel lively and inviting. You can also add them to your existing decor to create a blend of tradition and modernity.
3. Floral Arrangements and Rangoli
Nothing says Diwali more than flowers and rangoli designs. These traditional House Diwali Decoration Ideas are perfect for a quick yet elegant update. Use marigolds, roses, or jasmine to create garlands and place them around doorways, tables, or as a centerpiece. Fresh flowers bring color, fragrance, and a festive feel.
Complement the flowers with a beautiful rangoli design at your entrance. Rangoli can be created with colored powders, fresh flowers, or even ready-made stencils if you're short on time. A well-placed rangoli instantly welcomes guests with vibrant colors and festive cheer.
4. Quick DIY Torans for Doorways
Torans, or door hangings, are a popular part of House Diwali Decoration Ideas. If you’re pressed for time, you can easily create your own toran using colorful ribbons, artificial flowers, or beads. These decorative hangings can be placed at the main entrance to welcome guests or even at interior doorways for an added touch of festivity. It’s a small but impactful way to make your home feel festive.
5. Decorate Your Living Room with Cushions and Drapes
If you want to focus on Diwali decoration ideas for living room, an easy option is to switch up your cushions and drapes. Choose bright, festive colors like gold, red, or orange, and add cushions with traditional Indian prints or embroidery. Matching drapes in similar shades can completely transform the look of your living room in minutes. This simple change will make your space feel comfortable and festive-ready.
6. Scented Candles and Incense for a Festive Aroma
Creating a festive environment is about more than just visuals; it’s also about scent. Scented candles or incense sticks in fragrances like sandalwood, jasmine, or rose can enhance the ambiance of your home. Place them in your living room or entrance to greet guests with a pleasant aroma. This easy addition to your Diwali decoration ideas for living room can elevate the festive experience for everyone.
7. Mirror the Light with Decorative Mirrors
Mirrors can do wonders for reflecting light and making your home feel more open and bright. Adding decorative mirrors as part of your house Diwali decoration ideas can enhance the lighting effect created by diyas and fairy lights. A strategically placed mirror in the living room or hallway can amplify the sparkle and create a more festive vibe with minimal effort.
8. Table Settings for Festive Gatherings
Diwali is all about family gatherings and celebrations. If you're hosting a get-together, don't forget to add a festive touch to your dining table. Use a bright table runner, traditional brassware, or colorful placemats to set the mood. You can also add small diyas or flowers as a centerpiece for an added Diwali feel. Even if you’re doing this last minute, these small touches can make a big difference.
9. Wall Art and Posters
If you’re really pressed for time, wall art or posters can quickly transform a room. Opt for traditional Diwali-themed posters or tapestries with designs of diyas, rangolis, or festive motifs. This is a simple but effective way to incorporate House Diwali Decoration Ideas into your living room without much effort.
10. Quick Festive Touches with Accessories

Introduction:
Creating a harmonious and positive living environment is crucial for our overall well-being. Vastu Shastra, an ancient architectural science from India, offers valuable Vastu tips for house, providing helpful suggestions for setting up and structuring our homes in a way that encourages the flow of good energy. By incorporating the Vastu principle, we can enhance the balance, prosperity, and harmony within our living spaces.
Let's explore some essential Vastu tips for creating a peaceful abode in your house, unlocking its positive energy potential.
Entrance and Main Door:
Choosing the right direction for your main entrance sets the tone for positive energy. The main door plays a vital role in Vastu tips for the house. It should ideally face east, north, or northeast to invite favorable energy into your home. Ensure that the door opens smoothly and without obstructions to allow energy to flow freely. Consider incorporating auspicious symbols or decor at the entrance, such as a traditional toran or a sacred mantra, to welcome positive vibrations into your house.
Bedroom:
The placement of the bedroom within the house plays a crucial role in maintaining harmony. Ideally, the master bedroom should be positioned in the southwest direction of the house. Position your bed in the southwest corner of the room to promote peaceful and restful sleep. Create a soothing ambiance with relaxing colors like light blue, pastel green, or soft lavender. Gentle lighting and comfortable furnishings will also enhance relaxation and rejuvenation.
Living Room:
The living room serves as a space for social interaction and gatherings. Optimizing the layout involves arranging furniture and electronic appliances in a balanced manner, allowing for easy movement and conversations. Maximize natural light and ventilation to create an inviting and vibrant atmosphere in your house. The living room should ideally be in the northeast, north, or east direction to attract positive energy according to Vastu tips for the house.
Kitchen:
The placement of the kitchen and its relation to the fire element are vital considerations in Vastu. Organize your kitchen in a clean and clutter-free manner, promoting positive energy. Position the stove and sink in favorable directions to enhance the cooking experience and nourishing vibrations.
According to Vastu, the sink should be in the North or NorthEast of the kitchen. The gas stove, oven, microwave should be in the South East direction.
Study or Home Office:
Creating a productive and focused environment is essential for study or work areas. Select a location that promotes concentration and inspiration. Arrange your desk and chair in an optimal position for maximum productivity. Incorporate natural light and maintain a clutter-free workspace to foster a positive and efficient atmosphere.
The Study room should always be facing East or West. The second best direction for the same is North.
Colors and decor :
Incorporating Vastu principles into your house's colors and decor is important. Choose appropriate colors for each area, such as light and pastel shades for bedrooms and vibrant colors for the living room or study. Select decor and artwork that promote positive energy and reflect your personal style. By doing so, you can create a harmonious and balanced atmosphere in your living space.
Indoor Plants and Natural Elements:
Indoor plants not only improve air quality but also bring positive vibrations into your home. Follow Vastu guidelines for their placement to enhance the energy in each room. For example, placing money plants or bamboo in the southeast corner attracts wealth and prosperity. Incorporate natural materials such as wood, stone, and water features to connect with the natural elements and create a serene ambiance.
Mirrors and Reflections:
Proper placement of mirrors is crucial for positive energy flow. Avoid reflecting negative elements or clutter, as it can disrupt the harmonious energy in a space. Instead, strategically position mirrors to enhance natural light and create a sense of spaciousness, amplifying positive vibrations. Placing mirrors in the north or northeast direction is considered auspicious according to Vastu.
Conclusion:
Vastu tips for the house offer valuable insights into the alignment of our living spaces with natural energies, allowing us to create a positive and harmonious environment. By following these essential Vastu guidelines for your house, you can unlock the potential for increased well-being, abundance, and positive vibrations in your daily life.

Traditional methods of decorating for Diwali
What attributes define a home? A home is often a reflection of the individual or family who resides there. You should feel welcomed the moment you enter a home. Here, the company and the setting will both be quite beneficial. Naturally, your home should reflect who you are and what you value, as a noted interior designer, author, and television personality Nate Berkus argues. Divine design and interior decorating design characterize the living areas of your home.
Many homes are already fully prepared for Diwali, but not all of us may have the time to adorn our homes thus far in advance. We, therefore, decided to increase the excitement a little bit and assist those who are time-constrained. These Diwali home decoration ideas can be used as a final checklist to decorate your home before visitors arrive. Here are a few of the easiest traditional Diwali decoration ideas that you may use right away.
Diya:
Making Diya decorations with Kundan-coloured stones is a great method to give your Diwali 2022 decorations at home a classic touch. By using these lovely stones to decorate your ideas uniquely, you may make your home’s Diwali decorations more fascinating.
Hand painting is a simple yet distinctive Diya decoration idea that enables you to personalize the celebrations. All you need are thick and thin paint brushes, clay diyas, and acrylic colors. Once you have everything, soak the diyas in water overnight to prevent them from absorbing oil. Your diyas are now prepared for painting; simply let them dry completely in natural light. Allow your imagination to flow, and let your work speak for you. Use festive colors or colors that go well with your environment. Also using a candle stand, decorate your home for Diwali with metallic decor.
Rangoli:
A rangoli is a hand-drawn pattern that is constructed on the ground out of brightly colored items like flowers, flour, rice, or sand. This ornament serves as a welcome for guests entering the house. The women of the home are frequently in charge of making the rangoli, and the designs are passed down from one generation to the next within households.
To welcome the major deity revered during this festival, Goddess Lakshmi, a rangoli is made on Diwali and placed at the door of homes. This ornament is meant to bolster the family’s fortitude, generosity, and luck. Designs frequently incorporate regionally specific customs, folklore, and behaviors.
Flowers:
Prepare your homes for Goddess Lakshmi and your visiting family members during Diwali. A striking floral decoration on doors and windows is a surefire method to attract admiring glances from passersby. At the top of the entrance or along its sides, you can hang a garland of flowers of your choice. Show off your artistic side by decorating windows with flowers, as the area will be for the insertion of your chosen designs. Because of their good luck, marigolds, mango leaves, and bel leaves are seen to be appropriate choices for Diwali décor. However, you may also attempt exotic flowers like orchids, lilies, carnations, and some greenery to give your window space an oh-so-fantastic sensation.
Torans:
An ornate door hanging is called Toran. Mango leaf torans are strung on the main doorways during Diwali. Torans are hung to appease and entice Maa Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth. Mango leaves are also considered fortunate in Hinduism since they are good at releasing oxygen and absorbing carbon dioxide. Even possible to purchase decor items online for this Diwali.

VAASTU TIPS FOR A HAPPY, HEALTHY, AND IDEAL HOME
In the modern era, people encounter homes already built, where renovation of any kind has no scope of life. But, if you believe in Vaastu Shastra, It would be a better option for you to design and layout your home.
On your own, you are complying with various shastras of the Vastu theories. Vastu theories are support by scientific ideas that aim to bring the five aspects of nature, wind, water, fire, and space—into harmony. Vastu’s primary goal is to bring equilibrium between these natural energies.
Attract balance and tranquillity into the home, and give the occupants an organized and comfortable living, which can be accomplished through essential addition and subtraction and knowing the appropriate directions. A house can become a home only when it has the right aura and essence of positivity and happiness.
Vastu can help a great deal in achieving these normative if followed correctly. In the upcoming sections of this article, we shall know of the essential Vastu tips for a happy, healthy, and ideal home. But first, let us analyze why we should consider following the Vastu shastra regulations when building our homes.
Why Is Vastu Important?
The ‘Science of Architecture’ is Vastu Shastra. Geometrical precision is the most significant component in the physical world. Vastu Shastra is an old Indian discipline that addresses architecture, measurements, space layout, and spatial geometries. The more in tune with the cosmos your home’s construction is, the more energy and enthusiasm it draws when you develop a mathematically balanced and aligned building and design it utilizing Vastu Shastra.
The living area attracts a great deal of positive energy, making the residents better and stronger. Vastu Shastra enforces the traditional Indian architectural principles that guide the proper design of a dwelling. Hence, if happy and peaceful living on your lookout for a perfect home, you should consider living in a home aligned with the theories of Vastu shastra.
Let us now discuss what makes the whole bundle of Vastu theories.
Basic Principles of Vastu
Air- Life on Earth is supported on-air, or Vayu (Oxygen). It is a necessary component of existence. The air represents development and movement. For a healthier flow of air, Vastu Shastra provides instructions for the location of doors, windows, ventilation systems, patios, and gardens, among other things.
Water-Water makes up over 71 per cent of the Earth’s surface. It contains liquid, solid (ice), and gaseous water in rain, lakes, rivers, and the sea. Water makes up to 60% of body systems, and our blood would not be possible without it. Water, also known as Jala, is an essential component of life on Earth. Water is like mental clarity, developing new notions, unique insight, immunity, healing energy, and health recovery.
Fire- Light and heat, volcanic or upper mantle heat, thunder, body temperature, vitality, day and night, seasonality, and other features of the Solar System are all represented by fire. There would be no spin or movement of planets and moons around the sun without fiery energy. Fire is a symbol of excitement, passion, fervour, and passionate vigour in Vastu. In the current period, it is frequently connected with money.
Space- Space houses not only our solar system but the entire cosmos. All humans and other living elements of the planet are protected by ‘Lifeforce.’
Earth- The area along each sea, known as Bhumi, is the Planet Earth. This element represents life’s personality foundation; it holds the nations and the landmass on which life exists. Earth possesses legendary qualities such as equilibrium, stability, limitless patience, and maturity. According to Vastu Shastra, the component of Earth is the most significant feature of a home. The Bhumi is responsible for your physiological well-being and your attitude, career, relationships, and achievement. It embodies a sense of peace and cooperation with the rest of the world and family members and friends.
Some Vastu Tips
Happiness through the Door
The entryway to your home, according to experts, is the path through which energies approach your home. These basic rules can assist you in attracting energies that are beneficial to your health, wealth, and happiness.
Make sure the main entrance is facing north, northeast, or east.
Do not construct a restroom adjacent to the main entrance.
Outside your main door, hang well-designed nameplates.
To attract riches, paint or hang pictures of sacred symbols such as the swastika.
Hang torans and bells at your front door.

Celebrate This Valentine’s Day With The Woman You Love The Most!
Who is the one woman who has stood by you, through thick and thin? Who is the one woman, who will love you, no matter how you behave with her? Who is the one woman, who will not put any conditions on the equation of love, nor will she compare this love with anyone else? They say, there is only one true love at first sight – the moment a mother sets her eyes on her child, it is a bond of love that will last a lifetime and perhaps, even beyond!
There are those who think that Valentine’s Day is meant only for a romantic kind of love – the fact of the matter remains that this is a day that celebrates love; all kinds of love, and maybe this year, you might want to consider celebrating the woman who has always and will always love you the most – your mother! There are plenty of ways, by which you can make this day special for your mother and while a simple Valentine’s day message for mom might be enough for her, you need to make sure that you put in the extra effort. If your mom is someone who loves to decorate her house, then get her some things that she will like to use around the house – you could consider a beautiful floral toran that she can hang at the main door and will make her think of you, every time she heads in or out the main door. Or perhaps, she might like a pretty floral rangoli mat that she can use on the flower, hang on the wall or set up inside a traditional thali for a festive occasion.
If she loves flowers, as is the case with most women, gift her floral bouquets or table décor pieces that she can place around the house. Choose gorgeous dried flower arrangements from online stores like the Maeva Store, where you can find a huge range of options, in terms of colours, sizes and also budgets. You can choose floral décor pieces that are large enough to be placed on the floor or you can look for smaller ones that are perfect for the coffee table, dining table or bedside stand. Another great floral option is the pretty floral photo frames that you can find at the same online store – either you can choose a beautiful picture of your mother and set it inside the frame or create a collage of some of the most memorable moments of life for it. Either way, your mother will love the photos and the frame and will surely enjoy talking about it with her loved ones!
There is something magical about candles – light one up and you can create anything, from an atmosphere of romance to one of festivity, from warmth to an ambience of cheer! So, it only makes sense that you gift some gorgeous looking and wonderful smelling candles to your mom. And rather than picking out only one, you could create a hamper which has several different types of scented candles, so that your mom can create whatever mood she wants to, whenever she wants. As a matter of fact, give her some me time this Valentine’s Day, by creating a spa in her own bathroom, while you cook up a storm for her! Light a few spa scented candles in the bathroom and place some fresh flowers too and allow her to soak away all her pains and stress of the day.
And when dinner is ready, you will want to make sure that the dining table feels like it has been taken out of a housekeeping magazine or a five star hotel. There is nothing to be scared of, because it is easy to create that look – choose the finest china you have and lay it out with the cutlery. Pick out some floral wreaths from the Maeva Store and place a pillar candle inside each wreath. Alternately, you could dot the table with smaller candles, such as tealights or candles inside shot glasses. But do make sure that you have some kind of statement floral décor on the table.
Given that this day is all about celebrating your mother, make sure that you have some form of gift for her – you could gift her potpourri which can be kept in any corner of the home, give her chocolates or her favourite sweet inside a really pretty gift basket or simply write her a heartfelt note and give it to her, tucked inside a gorgeous floral envelope. And last of all, remember to give her the tightest hug and tell her that you love her!

Festivals are the spirit of India. It brings fun, enthusiasm, and is a new beginning. But this year it is different. Due to the outbreak of COVID-19 celebrations are no longer like before. However, one thing which hasn’t changed is the warmth of being at your own home with your family. To add more to it SBP group shares with you some Festive decor ideas to revamp your house for this festive season.
Choose some handmade accessories
You can go classic and stylish with some hand-crafted decoration pieces. There are multiple options available on the market, in different sizes, styles, materials, tones of color, and placements. Instead of going out to purchase this, you can order them online in the comfort and safety of your home.
DIY Diwali Toran
The Diwali festival is all about lights and colors. And because quarantine has helped people in reviving the artist inside of them, you can go for some DIY projects for home décor. Torans are positioned to welcome visitors at the entrance of a house and create a festive atmosphere. There’s a simple and fascinating way to build Torans for your house if you are passionate and imaginative.
Using recyclable materials like cardboard, crafted paper, excess ornaments, etc., you can create your Toran very quickly. All you have to do is decorate lights, waste ornaments, etc. with bits of cardboard. This will facilitate recycling and build a nice festive decor.
Options for home lighting for the festive season
In the living room, fairy lights can be used. They may be placed or put up against the wall along with the coffee table. As candles make a wonderful item of festive decor, you can use the scented candle in different areas of the house. Fragrant of the candles create a wonderful aroma which engulfs your room.
Diyas can add to your home’s glamour as well. There is also a deeper meaning attached to lighting a Diya. It is said that they reflect the transformation from darkness to light. You can uniquely organize Diyas for Diwali and let them float in a bowl filled with water and beautiful flower petals. If you have an unused large copper or ceramic bowl, you can put it to use by giving it a makeover with petals and Diyas.
Light diyas, not just close to the temple, but at the doorway. When placing diyas close to the main door, windows, or in the temple, keep security in mind. Opt for glass-covered diyas.
Decorate temple
The pooja room and the temple are the most ideal location to decorate your home at Diwali. Laxmi pooja is the major part of the Diwali celebration which takes place in a temple pooja space. You can decorate the temple with flower arrangements, such as roses, marigolds, and mogras for it. Write ‘Shubh Labh’ with Kum Kum on the white paper and keep it near the Lakshmi idol or photo.
Rangoli
Rangoli is an antiquated Hindu floor art, in which colored rice, colored sand, and flower petals are used to create patterns. With a hand-drawn rangoli to depict a traditional floor mat, this Diwali, create art of your own. Rangoli has been through years of Indian tradition just to ward off evil spirits, such as the daily white easy to elaborate decoration outside many Indian homes, but continues today even more as a celebrated art that women love to practice.
It also has a deeper significance. Rites, offerings, functions of the festival, social occasions, Rangoli augurs well for the house and wherever it is placed and is a welcome sign of good news and blessings from God.
Decorate with colors
The best time of the year to show colors in your living room is Diwali. As a simple hack for the living room, you can use handmade lanterns in green, purple-red, and blue colors, neatly hung from a string, straight across a wall. Home Decor of a beautiful handmade chandelier, made with various colored crepe paper and shiny streamers that will add to the beautiful and colorful Diwali theme, can also be positioned from the center of the ceiling.
Celebrate a clean and green Diwali
Make it a green Diwali, with plants in beautiful pots, decorating the inner and outdoor areas of your house. Arrange lighting and lamps to emphasize the freshness of plants strategically. .The advantage of plant decoration is that you do not have to move it even if the festival is over.
We hope that these festive decor ideas help you in getting in the mood of festivals and also in making your home look astonishing. Remember to be safe and celebrate your festive season while taking care of your health.

Historical Background of Nuwakot
Located at 76km far west –North of Kathmandu, the Nuwakot Durbar has been regarded as the significant place since the ancient time. Earlier, before 1744 AD Nepal was divided into numerous tiny states. In order to build a single strong nation, king Prithivi Narayan Shah of Gorkha led the unification campaign from this region. During that time, Nuwakot was as a colony of kantipur and, was regarded as western main gate to enter the valley. Nuwakot was also the chief trade route to Tibet.
The Nuwakot used to have nine forts- Belkot, Bhairavkot, kalikot, Malakot, Dhuwankot, Pyaskot, Simlakot Salyankot and Nuwakot as the main fort. Hence the place was initially called to be Nawakot which later turned into Nuwakot. The significant impact of Kantipur (Kathmnadu) can be observed clearly in different archaeological constructions including the palaces, rest houses, Dabalis, Temples and stupas, since the workers for Nuwakot were hired from Patan. Bhairav jatra, also known as Sindure jatra, is the main festival of the durbar area. Other festivals like Narayan jatra, Gai jatra Lakhe Dance, Fulpati and Krishna Janmaasthami are also the foremost.
During the unification, the king Prithivi Narayan Shah had to attempt three attacks to conquer Nuwakot. The kings used to be treated as the incarnation of the lord Bishnu which can be clearly seen in the wooden tudals in the Palace itself. In the durbar area there are few temples, palaces, dabalis and rest house along with the resident houses.
The main attraction of the area is the Nuwakot durbar. This particular durbar is seven stored building build in traditional archaeological standard. The durbar has numerous artistic doors, windows, tudals and torans which are pretty similar to that of the Kathmandu valley. There are three palaces apart from the Nuwakot durbar; Bhaktapur durbar which is also known as the Taleju, Kantipur durbar and Patan durbar. The area also has the Rangmahal, the durbar used for entertainment when all three kings of Kathmandu valley meet up in Nuwakot. The Bhairavi temple is another essential amongst the temples in the durbar area.
Wood Carving of Nuwakot Durbar
The most popular seven storey palace called ‘’Saat talle Durbar’’was built by Prithivi Narayan Shah by evictiing labours from Lalitpur in 1762 and still is regarded as a model of Nepali Architecture. This is used to be tropical place, the summer palace, Shera palace being the winter palace, and its notable that the king Rana Badhadur Shah met British representative Mr.William Kirpatic at this palace in 1793 just after the war between Nepal and china.Just east –southern side of Saat talle Durbar here is the west facing palace made up of oily bricks called Ranga mahal which is also badly damaged by April 25 earthquake. It was built as a recreational spot for the three malla kings of Kantipur valley. There are many dabalis and resthouses which were built with religious and social purposes.
Nuwakot Durbar Square is an open museum for anyone .Best example of woodcarving can be clearly seen here. April 25th earthquake had badly hit this area and waiting for care and preservation.
Eastern part of the palace contains three big “Sa Jhyal’’ which was carved carefully with a lot of symbols patterns and torans. This is the main window of the palace. The Ground floor have two small ‘’Tiki Jhyal ‘’ on each side where security personal used to guard the place twenty four hours. We can see a lot of beautifully carved windows on every side of the palace .On the Barandas there are 42 artistic windows which shows the masterpieces of that era. King and queen used to rest and enjoy the view from there as the locals explained
Tudals is seen everywhere around the Durbar.King was belived as the reincarnation of Lord Bishnu in Hindu Religion so woodcarving of Lord Bishnu can be seen in all the Tudals and reflects the respect for kings of that time. All these tudals represents the importance of religion and the aesthetic beauty of architecture of that era. Lots of symbols like Lion, Elephant, lotus, Dragon etc are used on woodcarving and believe that bad spirit won’t be able to enter inside the palace. The lots of God and Goddess is carved with erotic sculpture is everywhere in the Durbar. These carvings shows the wealth and power of King Prthivi Narayan Shah on that period.
All the windows and doors are very environment friendly and good in the aspect of security purposes. All the woodcarving is similar to Kathmandu valley.A very Strong wood called ‘’Agrakha’’ is used which can go for long time. Department of Archeology opened a museum three years ago and now it’s closed after the earthquake damaged the most of the parts of the durbar area. We are very hopeful in future to see them again in their original stage. After massive earthquake the most of the buildings are collapsed and in high danger. We realized a lot of works yet to be done on preserving the historical monuments so that our next generation will be able to see them in future. No doubt Nuwakot Durbar is one of the living heritages and plays a significant role in Nepali architecture and art.

Ways Through Which You can Increase Positive Vibes in Your Home
Every house has its own kind of energy. A person, who makes the house their home, is influenced and affected by the energy. According to our traditions, Vastu is the healing art of inducing positive vibes in the house. If you are about to move into a house, we have a few tips of Vastu to maintain the positive aura and good vibes of your new home. And even if you have been living in a house for quite a while, these methods will ensure your home is clean of negative energy.
1. The entrance
The entrance of the house is the entry point for the energies. To increase the concentration, the entrance of the house must be placed in a way that when you step out of the door, you must be facing the north, east or north-east direction. The quality of the wood not only ensures the safety of the house but also defines the attraction of positive vibes inside the house. It must be larger than the other doors inside the house. The door, when opened, must turn in a clockwise direction. Placing good luck charms and torans near the main doorway is also a good way to attract good energies.
2. Spiritual room
Adding a designated meditation or spiritual room in the house can do wonders in the ways of attracting good energy into the house. The room will serve as a platform for you to concentrate and release your stress of the day in a positive and effective way. The room in the east of the house would be the perfect room for spirituality and wellness. Keeping minimal lighting and focusing on more organic methods of illumination adds up to the positive vibes. Candles and lamps are some of the illuminating methods you can use.
3. Living room
Living space is where we entertained most guests. There are an inflow and outflow of energies in the living room due to all the people entering and leaving. Ensuring your living room has the right Vastu factors is great for the energies of the house. Also, since it is the first room people see upon entering the house, maintaining the right energy of the room becomes really crucial. The living room must be east, north or north-east facing. Try keeping the heavy furniture in the west or south-west direction of the room. Mirrors or artifacts with mirror must be placed on the north wall of the room.
4. Bedroom
The bedroom is the space where we rest after a long hard day. The energies of the room must be positive and enchanting so that it’s possible for you to get complete rest without troubles. Your bedroom must be in the south-west direction to bring good health and prosperity. Avoid keeping the head of your bed towards the north or northeast direction since it can cause health problems. Avoid placing a mirror on the top of your bed.
