just jirai things #1
some people don't like being called toyoko kids, instead they call themselves toyoko kaiwai (トー横界隈) or toyoko neighborhood! remember, toyoko refers to the area near toho cinema and kabukicho in general, if it's outside of kabukicho then it's not toyoko kaiwai! if it's in yokohama then it's bibuyoko kaiwai (ビブ横界隈), a similar gathering community near the vivre department store!

“Looks like the cavalry’s finally fucking here,” Rinko said quietly as she saw Kusakabe in front of Hime with his sword drawn. He’d used his Simple Domain to block the rest of them from the blast.
Patting Miwa’s head gently, she smiled as the girl lifted her eyes to stare at her.
“You good, kid?”
“Rinko-sensei,” she breathed. “How did you-”
One thing she could right from last year.
Turning back to meet Geto’s eyes, she felt her chest lift. It only felt fucking right that she got to use it against that asshole.
For Touma.

DAY ?? SHIBUYA STATION
Fine, you win, Shibuya!
When I arrived in Japan I fell down the stairs with my suitcases (in Shibuya), because I was too lazy to search and elevator/escalator. So, I decided that wouldn’t happen again! I would find those elevators and escalators no matter what! Needless to say, I eventually had to give in. Where the fuck is the elevator/escalator to the Tokyu Toyoko line! (I came from the Keio Inokashira line). The first series of signs to the Toyoko line I followed led me to a set of stairs going up (I need to go down!). Since there wasn’t any elevator or escalator in sight, I turned around and decided to use the escalator near the Inokashira line that basically drops your right next to the Shibuya crossing. There, I noticed an elevator though and decided to use that one instead. It dropped me right in the middle of the department store, despite the signs mentioning I should find some entrance to the Toyoko line there. After some aimless wandering through the aisles I eventually found signs to the Toyoko line again, but those led me straight to a staircase. It was a short one, going down, so I decided to give in (look ridiculous) and carry my suitcase for a moment. Eventually that led me to the familiar hallways under ground. After entering the Toyoko line, I did notice an elevator, but since I’m impatient, I decided to use the escalator instead. No problem, right? Except that stupid escalator didn’t go down all the way! Halfway, Shibuya station was just like “Fuck you! This next escalator doesn’t go down! There’s only stairs now!” Since I didn’t want to go back up to find the elevator and hope it would take me to the platform, I gave in again and carried my suitcase down the stairs.
I should say, the only reason I gave in was because I only had one suitcase. I’m never ever going to try and carry two suitcases down the stairs again. Unless maybe they are really light, but heavy suitcases, never again! I’m kinda familiar with Shibuya station and the signs are really easy to follow, but this station absolutely isn’t build for people with heavy suitcases or even wheelchairs though! Unless you exactly know where the elevators are and where they connect to, Shibuya is hell for any transfers to a different line! (Maybe if you stay within the JR lines you’ll be fine...) So, yeah... I do have an idea where I could’ve found a elevator, but that meant going down near Shibuya crossing and mingling with the masses in front of the station... (and possibly a lot of walking above ground)
Anyway, I’m glad to have reached my destination now and I won’t have to travel with heavy suitcases again for the next 5 weeks!

Days 4-6
Day 4
After a western style breakfast of fruit, toast and eggs, the group and I travelled to the 1200 year old Rinnoji Temple and Toshogu shrine which is the burial place of the Shogun, Tokugawa Ieyasu. The coolest part about this place was getting to see the original "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil" monkeys which were smaller than I thought. As we made our way up the mountainside we were constantly greeted by the friendly school children that were on excursion to the shrine. For lunch I ate a bento from the local convenience store. I think this time it was a Lawsons. I also bought some pokemon cards and decided to collect some while in Japan. After lunch the group took the bus to Edo Wonderland. A theme park centred around the Edo period of Japan and had many cool attractions including a high-paced ninja show, a water magic show as well as a large maze (which had wasps), a tilted house and a ninja training dojo. We also got to do archery to win prizes. I only stuck 3/5 of my arrows but Ben managed to get 4/5 and took home a coin jar. The park was amazing and one of my favourite parts of Nikko. I'd definitely love to go back some day and spend a full day there. For dinner we all went to Gyoshintei, a traditional restaruant which served shojin ryori (Buddhist cuisine). The food was served by kimono-clad women and the food itself was definitely an adventure. All of the dishes were unique and had some interesting flavours but it was fun trying them all. While we were there we also experienced our first mini-earthquake in Japan. It just felt like someone had fallen over.
Day 5
Our time in the quiet city of Nikko was over and now it was time to embark on our biggest travel day yet. After a final breakfast at Turtle Inn, we travelled to the JR station by bus and took the Shinkansen North to Hokkaido, going through the worlds largest underwater tunnel in the process. After arriving in Hokkaido we travelled on a series of trains and one bus to get to Noboribetu. We stayed at the huge Daiichi Takimotokan Hotel which is famous for its natural hot spring Onsens. Before dinner, myself and the rest of the guys made our way to the onsen and the experience was unforgettable. The different variations in the baths all provided a different sensation. We also drank some sake while soaking in the outdoor bath. Afterwards we went to the buffet dining hall for dinner, eating a range of dishes from the huge selection. My favourite was the steak pieces. After dinner we explored the hotel, finding the gaming corner, the gift shop and listening to a drum show. Afterwards I went to the family mart down the road and bought some more pokemon cards and a couple asahi beers before playing some videogames in our hotel and eventually going to bed.
Day 6
Unfortunately we were only able to stay in Noboribetsu for one night and were back travelling again the next day. In the morning we had a buffet breakfast consisting of scrambled eggs, miso, coffee, and various other dishes that caught my eye. We left our bags in the lobby and took a short tour of Jigokudani which contained steaming craters that spat out enough sulphur to last me a lifetime. The yellow stained rocks and steamy clouds were very cool to look at and it was a fun adventure to make before getting back on the road. After departing I took the shinkansen to Hakodate, a city renowned for its fresh sea food and rich history. We checked in to the Toyoko Inn before catching a tram to the Former British Consulate where we were served a high tea with some delicious biscuits and western tea. Afterwards, on our way to the cable car to Mt.Hakodate, we stopped by at a Russian Orthodox church and the Motomoachi Roman Catholic Church. The exteriors were gorgeous and the western designs stood out like a sore thumb. Afterwards we took the cable car to Mt. Hakodate where we got to enjoy the view of the whole city. After taking a thousand photos we went back down the mountain and walked to the Hakodate Beer Hall which was a western style restaraunt with an asian-centric menu. I had a pork cutlet with a pasta dish of some sort underneath as well as a nice cold beer. Part way through the dinner I noticed we were being stared at from across the room by two gentlemen who seemed to be entertained by the horde of foreigners. They both seemed very friendly and I wish I had the speaking ability to talk to them. After dinner we went back to Toyoko inn and I spent the next three hours with some other students in the lobby drinking and talking about our lives as well as some more rounds of Smash Bros. before bed. Easily one of my favourite nights so far.

The world's most amazing football pitches
Football/Soccer is one of the world's most popular sports so here are some of the most amazing football pitches and stadiums:
1. Switzerland
© Anthony Cullen
Ottmar Hitzfeld Stadium in Switzerland is Europe's highest pitch. It is carved into a mountainside 2,000 meters (6,561 feet) above sea level, so when a ball goes over the protective netting it’s a long way down to retrieve it.
2. Thailand
© Larry Goodman
Water goal! A floating pitch at Ko Panyi Muslim stilt village in southern Thailand. Nowadays, the region has become famous both locally - and increasingly internationally - for football
3. Japan
© Shaun Botterill
The Adidas Futsal Park in Tokyo sits on top of the Tokyu Toyoko department store, high above Shibuyu district.
4. Brazil
© Tony Burns
Brazilians have always had a love affair with football. Take a look at this community football pitch in the Sao Carlos favela, Rio de Janeiro.
5. Singapore
© Paul Briden
The Float at Marina Bay, Singapore, is the world's largest floating football stadium.
6. Greenland

A football match in Tasiilaq, Greenland. In summer, this town is buzzing with life, especially when the annual football championships take place.
Kick the ball and start traveling the world!

Civilians located inside were heard repeating one phrase:

10:55 pm
Horizon of the Captivating Skandha
She met Naobito’s eyes briefly before they watched Toji charge toward Dagon and start beating the shit out of him.
Maki was by her side in an instant, her eyes wide as she flexed her hands.
“I lost- a battle of strength,” she whispered, her eyes meeting Rinko’s. “Who is that?”
Her shock wasn’t unwarranted. Rinko still remembered how Maki started beating her in terms of physical strength when she was just thirteen. It had been why Maki reminded her of Toji.
“A ghost,” Naobito stated, his eyes narrowing. “Literally.”
11:24 pm
Metropolitan Expressway Route No. 3, Shibuya Tollgate
Yaga was suddenly stepping inside the tent, Megumi in his arms as he placed him on one of the empty beds.
“Looked like Ittadori brought him,” he said, giving Rinko a look. “Bit worse for wear, huh, Kurisaki?”
She grinned at him and shrugged.
“Been through worse,” she replied, earning a scoff from Shoko.
“You’re like a goddamn cat, Rinko,” she said, as she moved to Megumi’s side. “How many lives have you used this year alone?”
Too many.

A giant hole formed right next to Maki and Rinko saw Playful Cloud shoot up from it. Megumi climbed through next and Rinko felt her heart stutter.
What was it with Gojo’s students fucking just entering goddamn domains from the outside?
“Rinko-san!” Megumi yelled, his arms shaking as he struggled to keep his domain active. “Are you-”
“The fuck do you think you’re doing?” she yelled back, her eyes darting to watch as Dagon turned his attention to Megumi because the domain battle negated the effects of his guaranteed hit. “Where are Yuuji and Ino?”
“Ino had to withdraw,” Megumi replied, his voice strained as he focused. “Ittadori is on his own. And I’m helping you, Rinko-san-”
Gojo made these kids too goddamn reckless. She was going to kill him once this was over.
“By entering a fucking domain?” Rinko spat, planting her feet as the shikigami flew toward Megumi. “I know you said Gojo didn’t teach you anything, kid. But I think he taught you how to be fucking stupid.”

Travel On A Budget | Tokyo 3-Day Itinerary
.Tokyo is one of the most exciting cities on the planet but it’s also one of the most expensive. Thankfully, with our helpful travel tips, it’s easy to experience Tokyo without spending too much money!
1) Getting There
Background photo @Moyan Brenn
.Our website or app has the best flight deals to Tokyo. According to our price prediction calendar, the cheapest period to fly to Tokyo in the near future is between February 21th to March 3th. The best value flights will be between 1,400-2,300 CNY round trip (taxes included) flying from mainland China.
2) Where to Stay
.Hotel rates in Japan can fluctuate dramatically so its recommended to start looking for a room a few months ahead of time. The best deals are generally found on the east side of Tokyo, especially in Ueno and Asakusa, two popular neighborhoods which offer a taste of tradition.
Local hostels are always clean and well-managed. Expect to pay about ¥2,000 (CNY120) for a dorm and ¥4,000 (CNY240) for a private double room.
Sakura Hostel Asakusa
1 NIGHT: CNY 98
With a stay at Sakura Hostel Asakusa in Tokyo (Asakusa), you'll be minutes from Hanayashiki Amusement Park and Sensoji Temple. This hostel is also within close proximity of Edo Shitamachi Traditional Crafts Museum and Mokubatei.
Business hotels in Tokyo offer small, simple Western style rooms. Options include hotel chains such as Route Inn, APA Hotel, Super Hotel and Toyoko Inn. Most cheap hotels cost between ¥5,000-10,000 (CNY300-600) for a double room.
Toshi Center Hotel Tokyo
1 NIGHT: CNY 288 (special deal for Ctrip members)
Featuring beautiful Tokyo skyline views from its upper floors, Toshi Center Hotel is located in the heart of the city, just a 3-minute walk from Nagatacho Subway Station. It offers 2 restaurants and high-floor rooms with internet.
Another popular choice is the capsule hotel. This particular hotel accommodates their guests in small capsules! A television, shared bathroom and coin lockers are usually provided. The average price is ¥3,000-4,000 (CNY180-240).
Shinjuku Kuyakusho-mae Capsule Hotel Tokyo

In the heart of the lively Shinjuku area, the Kuyakusho-mae Capsule Hotel is 0.25 kilometers from Shinjuku Train Station. It offers compact capsule beds with a private TV and alarm clock.
Booking tip: Avoid peak domestic travel times, such as New Year, Golden Week (late April to early May), and Obon (mid-August).
3) Where to eat in Tokyo
Photo @gen.444
For a good inexpensive meal, visit a shokudō. Usually found at train stations and tourist sites, a regular meal usually includes a main dish of meat or fish, rice, miso soup and salad, for around ¥1000 (CNY60=US$10).
For a delicious bowls of noodles, visit a tachigui, usually located in and around train stations, for as little as ¥350 (CNY20=US$3.50) per bowl. If you prefer to sit while you eat, for under ¥1000 you can visit Nagi in Shinjuku.
Sushi lovers on a budget can always try kaiten-zushi for a casual lunch or dinner. Dishes are priced from ¥100 to ¥500.
Photo @pinchenpin
Convenience stores (Lawsons, 7-Eleven and Family Mart) stock sandwiches, rice balls, hot dishes and drinks.
Photo @yakitorimaruyoshi
The perfect choice for a drink is a izakaya, the Japanese equivalent of a pub.
4) Transportation
On foot: Though Tokyo is not designed for pedestrians, some neighborhoods like Aoyama or Yanaka, are quite nice for a stroll. Ginza and Akihabara are transformed into pedestrian zones on Sundays as well.
Photo @cnkirkcaldy
By bike: Cycling is both ecological and flexible. Various stores offer cheap daily bike rentals.
By taxi: In Tokyo, taxis are a practical but expensive means of transportation. The basic fare for the first 2 km is 730 yen and the final price can quickly exceed 2 000 yen (CNY120= US$17.50).
Photo @adorable_rose
By bus: This a great alternative. The fare is 210 yens, to be paid when entering the bus.
Tokyo is covered by a dense network of train, subway and bus lines. The train lines and subway lines are especially convenient for traveling around central Tokyo. With different passes offered, it is generally cheaper to have a pass than buy a single ticket. The price of one-day pass is 710 Yen.
